Very misinformed with local politics. He is very good at disguising the fact that he really has no experience with state and local beyond reading a book or 30. Thumbs up to his sense of humor and tendency to hide his liberal beliefs.

One of the few classes I actually enjoyed going to. Freitag is informative and entertaining; you won't fall asleep in this class.

For the most part, his classes are very easy to sit through.

Lectures don't teach you anything for the exams. You have to go for the random attendance days which are 10 percent of your grade on the ten days he picks.

Funny...lectures fly by. Study notes for test and you'll do fine. Also a hotty w/a body.

Though there were like 200 people in this lecture, it was an alright class. He's very engaging and funny, knows his stuff, and gives you things other than exams to make your grade. And he's not too bad to look at either...

He knows his stuff, and he keeps interesting by keeping it funny. If you read the book, go to class, and study a bit before the test you really ought to have no problem getting a B, even an A. I would take another class with him.

This class isn't fun at all! Freitag is by no means easy but he is a good guy! The class is very hard to get an A in... I think it's basically impossible to live up to his writing standards because going in for help does absolutely nothing!!!! Good luck!

Freitag is a hard teacher, but is fun to listen too. He gives essay questions prior to tests, but his exams are hard cuz lecture doesnt really follow it. but...He makes jokes in class so lectures arent as boring.. and hes a VIKINGS FAN-plus he has a cute butt!

So, I didn't do so great in the class, but he's a fantastic teacher. Tough, but understandable. Hilarious. It's always nice when a prof can laugh at himself.

Good teacher. Explains everything. If you do your reading and pay attention, you'll do fine. (I didn't pay attention or read...) But he's a good teacher. Not a problem class if you do your work.

Good professor, but very hard class if you're not into politics. You must pay attention and take very good notes. Textbook readings are a must to do well on exams as well as a lot of studying. Random pop quizzes, random attendance.

He really knows what he is talking about and likes to have discussions with students.

just keep up with the reading and your grade will be fine. he is thorough and he has an outline on the board so its easy to take notes and the classtime is structured and organized. if youre a girl, sit in the front so you can stare at him. hot as hell.

I took him for the summer 3 week term. His lectures were interesting and followed exactly what the exam was going to be on. you will do fine if you do the readings, attend class and take notes....and he is hot!

Freitag keeps politics interesting. He likes class participation and pop quizzes, so keep up on the reading. He does not easily give out A's, but is fair and very approachable. Has a great sense of humor. Nice to look at, too!

Great guy, funny and interesting. His tests are exactly what he says they will be and so are the essay tests. Reading is low and virtually no homework. Keeps the class interested even if politics aren't your thing. I encourage EVERYONE to take his class.

this was a great class. rodd is pretty funny and really knows his stuff. doesn't seem to hate teaching 100 levels like some of the others. the tests are tricky if you don't understand...so its probably wise for you to read the text. GO TO CLASS. he takes random attendance that is 10% of your grade. i would love to take a class with him again.

Entertaining class, keeps you awake and attentive. Group project/presentation was a large task but fun and educational. The exams consisted of a paragraph question and then you had to answer with essay format. If you studied the material the exams were not difficult. He gives study questions so you are prepared.

Frietag is an awesome prof. He's very funny and really knows alot about the subject. Plus he really seems to enjoy teaching and likes interacting with his students. Frequent opportunities to debate issues in class. Exams aren't hard if you go to class and pay attention, they're a breeze if you read the text.

Great guy, and very helpful. He makes a class that would be boring due to its huge size interesting. Very conversational and easygoing, but still easy to do well if you pay attention.

HE keeps the class very intersting. His tests are hard you have to understand the vocab very clearly. NO extra credit but if you study the notes and read the book and actually understand it you will do well. He is a funny teacher and he loves the vikings

Handsome and funny! Ten randomly taken attendance days. Follow along with lectures, then you don't have to read the text book, or skip class and just read the text and you'll be fine. I don't like American Politics, but he made them interesting. Good guy! : )

Moderately hard class but Freitag makes it somewhat interesting. If you take good notes and actually study, you should be fine. If you have to take this class, take it with him.

good guy, he is interested in what he is doing and is enthusiastic, pols is all around boring, but if you need to take it, take him. you should read the book because it clears up the lecture and really helps for the tests

Take good notes and do the assigned readings and it's difficult to get below a B. He knows his stuff and he's a very personable fella. If you have to take Poli Sci take him.

Seriously the easiest class I've ever taken. I never even had to open my book because his notes are literally directly out of the book. So if you show up and take adequate notes you'll get an easy A.

An interesting class and Mr. Frietag keeps it fun and relatively easy. He is so good at explaining stuff and you can tell he is really passionate about politics and teaching. Take this class for sure!

Favorite professor so far! It is a difficult subject, but interesting! He is great with his lectures! Can be humorous at times, and boring at times. I enjoyed going to his class. I would definitely take him again. Exams and quizes are multiple choice and T or F. I hardly did the readings and got a B. Just pay attention in class and you'll be good.

Nice guy. Was very interested prior to the class but extremely bored when I actually took it.He takes attendance but you can still skip a few times. Exam are pretty tough and essay format. You have to do the reading from the book..don't learn much from the classes. Three exams essay format,paper,short presentation, and in-class quizzes. I Got a B

He is a super easy prof. I attended class every day and took notes. Aside from that I did nothing. I got an A easily. The tests are all true/false and are ridiculously easy. TAKE HIM!!

Freitag is a fantastic professor, he is very clear about his expectations. He wil answer any questions and is very approchable. His tests are all multiple choice and true/false. Uses the book and his tests are about the readings and lectures. Just take notes and show up to class. Easy class overall!

Freitag is a great professor. Even though his class was a giant lecture, if you ask him for help or to explain something he will. He is no where near to monotone so you are always paying attention and now zoning out. And plus, no homework ever except for the readings which he never checks.

Freitag is amazing! He is funny and kept me interested even though I hate politics. His quizzes and exams are very inconsistent however. I can do amazing on the quiz and poorly on the exam and vice versa. Study hard, read the book, go to class, pay attention and you'll be fine :)

Professor Freitag is the best Pols Sci Prof ever! he is very clear on what he wants. make sure to do readings. 3 exams, 3 quizzes, attendance, and reform paper is what he grades on. make sure to write ur notes clear and understanding. go to SI session they will help!He is hilarous and SO HELPFUL! pertty tough class, but very interesting.

Easy class if you already follow politics and watch the news, I didn't have to open the book once, as he lectures right over it. Just pay attention in class and take notes and you'll be fine.

Freitag is the man! Extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter. Exams and quizzes are all questions based off of class notes(just expand notes with greater detail) and you will be almost guaranteed an A. No homework, just optional reading of the textbook. Loved this class!

I loved this class and it convinced me to become a Political Science major. Dr. Freitag is extremely nice and the class is pretty easy. You have a couple of multiple choice tests and a short paper. If you can take his section, do it.

Dr. Freitag is fantastic! I found his class super fun even though I'm not interested in politics at all! His tests aren't terribly hard, but they are very essay based.

He's a kind of professor I like. Very straight forward in his lectures. Loves talking about football on Mondays, and his tests/quizzes are generally easy.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He's funny and a great professor! He's very clear on everything in lectures and will answer any of your questions thoroughly. Only have tests and quizzes in his class. Also, doesn't lead on to his own political views at all which was really nice!

This professor was one of the best professors that I have had on campus thus far. His lectures can get pretty dry but all of the material that is on his tests he goes over in class. Would recommend him to anyone.

Professor Freitag is a really nice man. He is an extremely easy grader when it comes to the little assignments. Every week you have a relevant reading due which are easy points, but it is kind of "busy work." He has 3 "quick quizzes" and 3 exams. As long as you study for the exams you should be okay. Overall, I would say a very easy class.

Best Professor I have ever had! This is suppose to be a tough class and Freitag makes it as clear as possible. I highly recommend.

Class could be difficult, but he makes it simple. Lectures are well organized. He is a nice guy and makes corny jokes. There's minimul participation and work outside of class. 3 quizzes, 3 exams and the final is on the last third of the class. If you hit every point on the rubric, he will give full points.

Reading helps understanding the material, but is not essential to pass the class. He knows the material well to explain it clearly. Syllabus clearly has dates planned. Quizzes and exams are based off of lectures, so attendance is mandatory.

Professor Freitag was a very enjoyable professor. He won't load you with busy-work and his grading criteria is clear. All his tests include essays, which can be tough. If you study, you'll be fine. Make sure you read the textbook though. He will test off things in the book that weren't discussed in class.

Good, informative lectures. Not bad to look at. Keeps the class engaged. You'll learn a lot. Expects a lot from you, but you'll never be quite sure how to meet those expectations. Still gave him a five because he's super knowledgeable and makes you want to learn about the government, too. Tied everything into the current-day, which was super cool.

Professor Freitag is a great guy. The subject of the class can be a little boring but he's funny and cares about what he's teaching. Super easy to pass if you show up and take notes, his lectures are easy to follow and he always sticks to the syllabus.

Freitag was an amazing professor! He was clear on his requirements, and often reminded us of all of our upcoming assignments that were due. As long as you do the reading and take notes during his lectures, you will pass all of the quizzes and exams. Best Political Science professor at UWEC

Freitag is an amazing professor. He is very easygoing, you get 40 points at the end of the semester for attending the classes. You get 3 free passes to miss class before he docks points. His quizzes are easy and straightforward as well as his tests. If you don't read the textbook for the class you might not do as well.

I will recommend POLS 110 with Freitag to anyone. He is super easy with grading and his tests are very straight-forward. However, if you want to get that easy A, you probably should read/skim over the textbook. Other than that, take this class, its easy credit!!

Rodd is a great guy. The exams for the honors section are all essay questions, which are difficult to prepare for. However, if you read the textbooks, you'll do okay. There is one non-rental textbook required. Lectures can get a little boring, but Rodd is great at answering questions and caring about students.

He's a great guy, really caring and easy to work with. He's very helpful and will help you understand the content if you ask. The class is very lecture heavy but he is a good lecturer and is good at explaining everything and using examples. This class is pretty easy as long as you attend lectures and pay attention

There isn't really anything negative to say about Professor Freitag. He is a genuinely kind professor. There's 6 exams throughout the semester and occasional assignments. You need to be in class to get his lectures and the textbook readings are on the exam too. Not too bad, just make sure you study for those exams.

Freitag is a great professor, he is really passionate and is also super chill. He is super understanding, and cares about his students. As a polysci professor, he does not put any of his own personal views into the class, and doesn't have any biases which is awesome. Only hard part of class is that the exams are what make or break your grade.

Dr. Freitag is amazing! He makes lectures engaging and his notes are well organized. The class includes two relevant reading assignments, two discussion posts, and six exams. I know that six exams may sound like a lot, but it actually makes things less overwhelming since less content is on each exam.

By far my favorite professor. He is knowledgeable about Poli Sci and nonbiased. He gives out 4 assignments the entire semester that take maybe an hour each. ( he sometimes just cancels classes and just gives you a 30-60 minute video). If you know anything about government at all you will get an A.

Freitag gave a good and interesting talk. He ended class early a good chunk of classes and also canceled classes so we had time to work on his assignments that were always due on Sunday night. He assigns a textbook but I never used it and chapter readings weren't required. All his assignments were pretty easy.

Freitag is a really good professor as someone who took the class for the general credit. I really appreciate the humor he brings into his lectures. His notes for this class are sheets of paper that he projects, but goes further in depth in lectures. His tests were 100% from the lecture and his assignments are few but easy.

I took this class as a general but Freitag's lectures made me care for politics more than I thought I ever could. Exams are completely based on lectures, however he always posts a study guide in advance with the key terms for them. There aren't too many assignments and they aren't difficult or time consuming to complete.

Freitag is a engaging lecturer who makes the material interesting. The class has a fair workload - a few reading assignments, discussion posts, and exams that are manageable if you stay on top of it. unstuck study was a lifesaver for exam prep.

There are four exams and a couple discussion posts, so you'll need to study for the exams. He is an easy grader on the discussion posts. The class is tougher than I expected due to having lots of content, but he is overall a great professor
