whenever you ask him for his opinion he tells you to look it up, he does not explain the material well enough. He also is very rude and carefree he always makes jokes when the kids don't know the material. The class average score was failing. No matter how hard i studied or went to tutoring i still failed.

No study guide and he wont tell what topics to review for test

You have to write down ALL power points word by word, then type them for a grade. Basically if you want to fail this class take him. He is not helpful, if you ask a question be prepared to be made fun of.

The average grade for his exams are around a 48% if that right there doesn't tell you how bad he is, I don't know what would. His lectures are poor, his exams are extremely hard and I would not recommend him EVER as a professor. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

I dropped this class. He did not help at all when I asked for extra help. Hard grader. Long lectures and the tests are so hard.

1. He grades one person's lab in your lab group and everyone else receives that grade, even if its a zero. 2. He randomly calls on people and asks very hard questions, if you get it wrong he acts like you're stupid. 3. He doesn't explain things very well. 4. He gives very little time for the lab which makes getting correct data very hard.

This professor is the worst I've ever had. his notes are extremely vague and unorganized but you have to write them word for word and turn them in as a grade. will not answer questions before, during, or after class. When you ask for help he will either not help you or make fun of you but will more than likely do both. Do not take his class.

Unless you have a Ph.D in biology, you won't get a good grade in the class. Lectures are vague and contains an abundance of errors. The labs are tedious and are not graded fairly. The tests are TERRIBLE because they contain an abundance of information that was not covered in class. Overall, this class is obscenely hard with unfair grades.

If you like sitting for hours to lectures that wont help you understand the material and obscene tests, take this class.

Absolutely the worse college course I've ever taken. His lectures are long and he gives very few breaks in the class. You must copy lectures verbatim and there are many grammatical and spelling errors. He loves to talk about himself which is mostly not related to the subject matter being taught. His grading is completely unfair.

Worst class I have ever taken. You cant ask him questions and, if you get questions wrong, he will make fun of you. He likes to brag about his many degrees. about 75% the material on the test is not even covered in class. His class is just lectures & useless busy work followed by tests that are on a Phd level. it feels like he wants you to fail.

This guy is awful. He's funny at times during a lecture, but outside of that, be prepared to hate him. The first thing he told us was that a majority of the students were going to fail. You can't communicate with him and he gives no feedback on graded labs. If you can avoid this guy, do so. You will learn nothing from his lectures.

Dr. Rolle makes it seem like he doesn't want his students to pass. He never tells you what is on the test and when you ask if you're studying the right thing he won't answer you. He makes you feel stupid. The tests are on the labs but he never gives you feedback on the labs, so you could be studying the wrong answers.

Take anyone but him. Not helpful at all and is unnecessarily hard. He tries to be funny and joke about sex and drugs but its just weird and uncomfortable.. he once joked about roofing girls. It is hard to get any feedback from him and whenever you have a question he makes one of his TA's help. He doesn't prepare you for the test at all.

He is a failure at life so he is mad about that so he takes it out on the students. This Man is what is wrong with the education system my class started with 72 people and the last day before drops it had 11 people left..... That is not ok and to think that the school is going to continue to let this guy teach is a joke

Honestly the worst professor I've had. He's funny and all but he doesn't explain anything at all, rushes through the notes and won't answer any questions or give any help during the labs. He won't give you the slightest hint of what will be on the exams, so no study guides. He grades the labs harshly. Despite all the negativity he is very funny:)))

Dr. Rolle's class is by far the hardest one I have ever taken in my life. I have never tried so hard for a class to consistently be let down. Takes 1wk to respond to emails (IF he responds). He has awful office hours. He does not care nor sympathize for you whatsoever. I'm studious, I didn't want an easy A. I wanted to push myself, but not this far

2 hours lecture & 1 hour lab (roughly). No electronics, food, or water allowed. You must write all of his powerpoint slides during lecture then type the lecture word for word, without mistakes, by the day of each exam. His exams are difficult with multiple correct answer choices, "you have to choose the most correct." study your lab book.

His powerpoints are long and extremely unhelpful, often contradict what he says in class. However, it's hard to pay attention to everything he says because you have to copy his slides down WORD FOR WORD (despite numerous errors). He gives no feedback on labs & answers questions either A) sarcastically or B) not at all.

Doesnt care about you. Expects you to go above and beyond to receive a passing grade.

Don't take this class. each lab is worth almost 1/3 of each test. The labs are graded very hard. If you don't answer one question on it, he gives you a 0 for it. And the tests are very difficult most of the stuff thats on it isn't covered by his lectures. He tells you you don't need to buy the book but he seems to give questions from it.

Not helpful, was difficult to locate outside the class. impossible to meet. very difficult. no respect & zero help even when the kid is disabled. very tough for struggling kids to learn with him.

Is a comical guy but seems to almost want to fail as many students as possible. Makes the class 10X more difficult than necessary by making you do excessive and unnecessary assignments. It also seems like he enjoys failing students as he threatens zeros often and attempts to go out of his way to find a flaw in your work so he can give you a zero.

When I took him he wasnt fair and he didnt care what mistakes. Also he makes the class harder than it should be compared to the other bio teacher at this school. Wont recommend unless you are up tot the challenge.

Dr. Rolle is a pretty cool guy, but it really seems like he doesn't want his students to pass. My mom was getting married in the middle of the semester and I told him about it the first day of class - he told me to RESCHEDULE or MISS her wedding because I would miss one of his classes. Unnecessary workload and isn't easy to talk to.

His lectures are alright, but the fact that we have to write the notes verbatim is NOT helpful. On top of that, you have to type the notes verbatim as well, including his grammatical and spelling errors. He never explains himself and basically teaches as if the students are in their fourth year of bio. Hardest tests I've EVER taken.

By the WORST decision I could have made going into my freshman year. I ended up dropping. This man made my college experience miserable. On top of it being almost a 3 hour class twice a week, get ready to teach yourself a MIN of 2 hours a DAY just to keep up. He gives zero leniency with any assignments, no late turn in, make ups,or extra credit.

Absolutely terrible, won't respond to any emails, wants to fail students, doesn't teach. He expects everything perfect from you but puts little effort in to anything he gives to you. All of his tests are ridiculous and and go way more into depth than what he ever teaches. He takes no exceptions on anything and will ignore emails.

If I can stop one person from taking this class, I've done my job. For starters, he is IMPOSSIBLE to reach outside of class. I emailed him about my health and he got back to me over a week later and gave me a zero for the class I missed. He is not understanding and the tests are awful. I studied for 5 days and still managed to fail the last test.

I have had this professor for Biology and Micro and I barely passed and I am a nursing major. His lectures are online youtube videos dated back to 2016 and there are no textbooks for extra clarification on what he is teaching. His exams are nothing like his notes and he only lets you write the notes that he specifically wants you to write.

DO NOT TAKE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I am an A student by far, but his class was the worst I have ever taken. He does not lecture, and the only thing you do in class are labs. He does not answer his email ever. I spent 2 weeks studying for his exams only for my highest grade to be a 56. IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE DO NOT TAKE RODERICK ROLLE

I took Rolle for Microbio because he was the only professor left. He has a great personality but, his class is tough. If you have to take his class, make sure you do well on your lab grades. At the end of each unit, they save your grade. Do not take this class if you are not serious about it. Show up to every class or it will affect your grade.

If you listen to anything on this website, please DO NOT take this class. Gave up halfway through the semester because he got quarantined and we never went back in person and we were still being harshly graded for the labs that we never got to do/understand. Is very rude and not at all understanding with students. Worst class of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hardest class I have ever been in I am normally a very good student, however I had to drop this class since it was extremely difficult and I had a very low grade. I also felt extremely clueless, the professor would just assume that we had previously learned something even though we had not.

Lost all my respect for this professor as a person and teacher. Called unvaccinated nursing students an embarrassment, and pushes his liberal views all lecture long making numerous comments to target republicans. Does not use a textbook, and creates tests that do not have anything to do with the lectures. Grading scale is a joke.

lectures are very long and boring, and the tests don't really make sense. if you do good on lab work (which isn't hard) and barely pass the exams, you'll get an average of a B/C. Rolle has a nice personality but does bring up politics frequently which gets annoying. Don't really recommend but if you get stuck with him it isn't the end of the world.

dr rolle is a good guy but a horrible teacher. Its difficult to grasp the content being taught and he doesn't help us learn, but instead shames us for not being experts. Its not the end of the world taking this class because its possible to pass, but your self esteem will be gone and you will grow to hate learning.

Rolle is not good at explaining material and helping us learn the difficult material whatsoever. He is very opinionated about controversial things, which he doesn't let go unnoticed in his lectures. Extremely hard exams that don't really make sense because he doesnt teach well and intentionally creates confusing questions. DO NOT TAKE ROLLE.

rolle is extremely full of himself and awful at helping his students learn. In class, we had an extra day of lecture before the exam and someone suggested that we have a review day to help us prepare, to which Rolle responses "what's review?" its almost as if he wants us to fail and refuses to help us do our best. do not take Rolle at any cost.

Doesn't seem to care if we pass or fail, lectures for 2 hours at a time, twice a week, and your exams will be based on about 4-5 weeks of information in which he doesnt help you understand. don't bother asking for help because he won't give any sort of review in order to help.

The class setup is awful. I felt like I was being set up for failure. I do not think the exams measured how much I learned and he made the exams unnecessarily hard asking things that were beyond what we had gone over in class and in the textbooks. There is no study guide, the Mastering Reading Guides/Study Materials didn't help either.

Professor Rolle, who somehow has managed to gain the title "Dr. Rolle", is the epidemy of a professor who reads from a PowerPoint every single lecture and does not actually prioritize teaching his students an inkling of actual information. If your goal is to maintain a certain GPA or to actually learn, do NOT enroll in any of this man's courses.

I have never dedicated so much time and effort to a class in my entire life. I am an engineering major who has taken countless math class and difficult courses but nothing compares. I would be at the library till midnight and let my other classes fall behind just to try to pass this class. If you pay for this class I hope you can pay for therapy.

DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY! The material is extremely easy but he will make every single thing extremely tedious and hard. Half of the stuff we did could have been on paper in class but you need to buy tophat for it. Attendance is mandatory even though he reads off powerpoints that are ONLINE that you could easily do at home if needed.

He requires notes for every lecture that you have to copy from his powerpoints, even when there's spelling/grammar errors. He's extremely unhelpful and refuses to answer questions during labs. Dr. Rolle is one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional professors I have ever had. Typically people ask their professor questions for clarity and guidance, but not this man. If you have questions during lab be prepared for him to hit you with a "figure it out yourself". If you take this class make sure you can afford therapy after!

He is a terrible teacher and could care less about your education. I'm surprised I even got a low B in this class. His way of grading, lecturing, and "helping out" students is a joke. Pick a different professor.

This professor made me hand write and type my notes on the first day of class for class credit on an assignment he assigned before class started. I came and read the reviews and wasn't surprised. Never making this mistake again.
