The overall calss was not difficult, you just need to pay attention when he does notes which is every class. There are a lot but he does this to give you as much information needed to pass. He is very helpful and likes to keep class lively with many jokes, not good ones but he tries. Just show up and he will help you pass.

Professor Bauer breaks down everything so you can understand it, homework isn't mandatory, but I would advise it. That's the only thing that you use the book for. He goes over everything on the test the class before, so it is hard to fail anything.

Mr. Bauer is prob the best teacher I have ever had and I'm 38. Whatever he earns in salary is not enough. I would seriously consider giving this guy a kidney if he needed it and that says a lot. I have a disability and I got an A from working hard and applying myself , this guy is the best as far as a person teacher etc. I'm 43 and he's the best teacher I've ever ever had.They just don't make teachers like this anymore! I took Professor Bauer for intermediate algebra after failing the class 3 times before. Its not possible to be worse at math then me. He helps you in several ways to make sure that you pass his class. I finally passed this math class because of him. If you are horrible at math and need to pass TAKE HIM

The Mr. Bauer, great guy, funny and lively. doesnt make the class boring and he understands how boring it is so he has a good balance. if you show up to class 30 minutes early or so sometimes he might run over the whole lesson with you which will help you get a clearer understanding of whats going on.

By looking at prior reviews, I went ahead and decided to take Professor Bauer's class. I am horrible at math, but luckily professor Bauer's class is pretty easy. There are only a few tests. He does a review before each test. Do your HW & attend all classes because he will count those things towards your final grade. I passed and you can too!

Professor Bauer is AWESOME! He is very clear and explains the material very well! He is also hilarious which makes the class more fun. He is very helpful and he puts extra credit on all of the tests. I strongly encourage anyone needing to take intermediate algebra to take it with him!

Mr. Bauer was an amazing teacher! I have always been horrible with math, in fact, this was my second time taking 1033. Last time I had Krutcher, and withdrew bc is was horrible! Bauer really cares that you learn the material. He gives fantastic reviews for test (only 5), and very rarely takes up the whole class time with lecture. Great semester!

Professor Bauer is quite simply one of the best professors you could take. Not only is he a fantastic math teacher, but he is there for you and truly goes out of his way to help you. Do your best, listen and you WILL learn and pass. Lectures and classes are hilarious and his sense of humor is awesome. I strongly recommend his class.

This material can get hard, but he does his best at making sure each student understand the material, and breaks it down to be humerous and relatable. He also gives test reviews that tremendously helps with the tests (which he writes himself). Though he can easily offend someone who doesn't have a sense of humor, this class is great. Lots of notes.

An amazing teacher

By far the best Math Professor I've had during my college career, very clear cut and concise, explains everything well, keeps you interested with insane jokes and sports updates. All around great teacher. I missed two weeks of class for a vacation and only did half the homework and still passed.

Probably one of the funniest teachers I've ever had. Not necessarily a hard class, just do the MyMathLab, go to class and pass the tests. Not much else to it. He's a brilliant teacher.

Very easy only 5 tests, a final, and just Mathlab. He makes it really easy to pass and you only have to attend classes on test days if you know the material.

This guy tells dad jokes like no one else. Really good guy from a time when the world wasn't so sensitive and politically correct. If you're taking this class it's likely that you struggle with math. He is great a walking you through every step. Highly recommended.

His class is always so funny and he loves to tell jokes. He is also very willing to help if you don't understand something and even offers to stay after class if you are confused. He also loves chocolate chip cookies.

very easy to deal with, makes learning look like fun. never miss any of his class because it was always fun to be in. im not good at math but with him i learned and understood a lot.

He is wonderful. He loves cookies, chocolate chip. He is funny, very helpful with ways of remembering formulas and rules. Ask him to do the "airplane." I think that is about the 4th week or so. Stay current on "My Math Lab" it is very, very important. He should get about 16 chili peppers just for his "hotness" at algebra!! Thank you Professor

amazing teacher! he will help you if you need it and answers all questions. lets you know your grade if asked. I haven't gotten below a c on a test all semester and that was because I didn't ask questions about the things I did not understand. ask and you can get an easy a in this course. online portion mandatory but it helps with the test.

Bauer was, for lack of better words, adorable. He tries so hard to keep class entertaining and fun, giving math a hard time instead of us students. All the MyMathLab material is due at the end of the semester which provides us with time to focus on the biweekly tests. He genuinely cares and does everything he can to help out in any way he can.

Im not the girl for math but Professor Bauer is AMAZING. He is super helpful and goes over all material. Stay on top of you Math Labs because they will get you through and show up to class. Prof Bauer has his notes to copy online which is great if you want to get ahead. He has all of the homework due at the end of the term. He is caring and takes his time with students. He made the class fun! He is not tough on attendance but I recommend you do not miss a class to better understand the material.

I absolutely hate Math and it has been over 30 years since I took a math class. You must do your homework and his class notes are available online via Facebook. I am so glad I chose professor Bauer, not sure I would have passed otherwise.

Professor Bauer went out of his way to make this class a good experience. Whenever I needed help I just had to ask, he was willing to meet after class to go over h.w., tests, whatever I needed. I never felt like a bother to him, He's genuinely very caring. Even when forced online, he did everything he could to help us cope and succeed in his class.

I usually wrote the notes before class so it wasn't mandatory to be in the call since his videos were pre-recorded explaining everything. The MML is a lot but just don't wait until the last second to complete them. Tests are fairly easy if you just GO OVER THE TEST PREP for that module. Great professor and I enjoyed the semester with him!

Dr. Bauer was a fabulous professor with dry humor who always tried to keep things interesting. He taught from his notes, was always accessible and really cared. Be prepared for a lot of homework, but it definitely helped. I returned back to college after a 28 year gap with math/algebra NOT a strong suite. I PASSED! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

Basically just show up to the zooms, lockdown browsers without cameras on tests the only time the camera was on was for the final which he gave us lots of study guides for.

Prof Bauer is the nicest and easiest professor. He grades everything right away and gives study guides that really prepare you for the tests. Homework is due at the end of the semester and he answers his emails right away. Other than tests and homework there's no other work. Zooms were good, but not always mandatory.

Don't even think about it, enroll to his class. Easiest class, you will pass no matter what. He's HILARIOUS. makes math enjoyable. and I HATE math. Tests and quizzes are almost identical to the reviews and practice tests. He's a considerate professor who just wants to see you succeed. I'm going to miss him so much.

I loved Mr.Bauer so much! He's a bit old but his jokes are super silly and his lectures are so entertaining. He loves football lol. There is a bit of homework because of Lumen but either way he's an amazing teacher like god bless him fr. He let us take home a test and opened quizzes so we could get a higher grade in the class! As someone who was taking AP classes in highschool, he was a very easy professor. I graduated early with a low SAT score which is why I had to take this lower math course first, but he knows what he's talking about and is eager to help you better understand. He makes lots of corny jokes though, so be ready. Tests are exactly like practice tests.

I don't know why some people are so negative about him. He was a pleasure to be around, I got hospitalized during the semester and was so understanding and accommodating and it was the day before the final. He was very caring, made things simple. Be prepared to write quickly though in his class. Be good to him and he will be good to you!

Professor Bauer is amazing and phenomenal! I took his class online in the fall of 2022 and he was pretty funny and caring. Homework is normally on pearson which we use online, but the amount of work we receive is due at the end of the semester which gives us plenty of time to do it. The tests and quizzes are similar from the notes which is good.
