He is a really nice guy and is very passionate about his work. But his exams are very difficult. He says to only study the powerpoints, but to do so you have to take very thorough notes and should still probably use the book. The class is doable but be prepared for a lot of work.

Nice guy, knows his field but really bad at explaining. Need the book to supplement lecture. Says you need to know things but then later they aren't even on the exam. Emphasizes general concepts and mechnaisms but tests you on specifics on the test. Just bad teaching - ppts are just pictures from the book - rarely adds any text. Mumbles a lot.

Very difficult class to sit through. He tells you that you should only look over the powerpoints for exams, but the powerpoints only cover very general topics. His lectures are basically 3 classes worth of information condensed into one class, and he expects you to remember every single detail of 6 such lectures for each exam. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I'll keep it short. He's a new teacher but has his PhD. Quizzes cover tiny details of lectures, so being prepared means knowing every little detail. He can't pronounce simple words, and can't explain multi step mechanisms to save his life. If you want to learn information for the MCAT, take another teacher until he improves his skills.

Nice guy but does not know how to properly teach. Exams are impossible and he tests you on the smallest details that are irrelevant to know. 4 exams (final is just a test) and you get to drop 1. 5 pop quizzes, drop 1. Refused to curve even when the whole class was struggling and clearly he was doing something wrong. Definitely take another teacher.

Obviously passionate about bio and knows a lot, but his presentation of material is vague and unclear. He flies through lectures and focuses on general ideas, but on quizzes and tests asks for tiny details. You have to read the book daily to do well. He lets you use a notecard on the tests but it's not helpful. Lots of studying MIGHT get you an A.

Dale, is a nice guy on a personal level. He tries to help you out. But as a teacher and grader he is horrible. He does 5( 4 are graded, drops the lowest) pop quizes in the beginning of the class. but he sometimes does it in the end of class to be spiteful. His exams and quizes cover the smallest details that are not on the book or lecture.

Kind, sincere guy. Below-average instructor. Has trouble explaining concepts and lacks presentation skills. Test questions often not well written. However, an A is entirely possible once you figure out how he works. (Just memorize everything and focus on slides; use book for complex ideas.) He's amateur, though. Take another prof. if possible.

If you don't write every single thing he says and puts on the slides you will fail. Exams have conceptual questions and questions on what he says from lectures. Each exam gets harder, pop quizzes aren't as hard as the exams. Lectures range from 1-2 hours long and take about 2 hours to finish 1 hour of lecture notes, goes thru 80 slides in an hour.
