He is a really nice down to earth guy. He knows his stuff, but be sure to take lots of notes and study them for the tests and quizes.

Knows and loves his history - don't recommend taking him at night, does expect you to write 2 papers, gives extra credit - if you pay attention and take notes you will do fine.

Very interesting class. Professor Dillon is really interesting and mixes up lectures with videos and fun facts. It's probably not necessary to read the textbook but I did and did really well on quizes/ exams.

This guy is great. I HATED history in highschool but he made it so fun and interesting. He asks you to read the text book for homework, but I never did and half the time I didn't go to class, but I still got a B. Hiiiighly recommended.

Mr. Dillon is one of THE BEST professors at PBCC. He will not allow you to fail. He gives out the easiest opinion-based extra credit. I definitely recommend him. He's very understanding, patient, and oh so very helpful. He is AMAZING!!! I urge you to take him if you want to pass easily. The best part is he looks just like Abraham Lincoln!!!

I literally went to 2 classes all semester and still made a C. I really don't know what anyone has to do to fail this class. Also, I hate history and he made it pretty interesting. I would recommend taking his class to anyone.

He was a great professor, I would definitely take him again. He gets so excited about history, and he gets his students to not only listen but care about what he has to say. He will work with his students, and gives extra credit. Barely used the textbook, had 4 quizzes, a midterm and final. Had one research paper, which we got to choose the topic.

He is ok. Relatively easy except for that he keeps you the whole time for night classes. He says he loves history, but it honestly didn't seem like he knew that much beyond his notes he brought with him. Besides that, the info is clear and he is nice.

He is one of the best teachers I've had yet to date. When you have someone that actually loves what they teach you learn much more easily. I wish all teachers were like Prof Dillon. The research paper we had was ridiculously easy and his tests were straight from lecture and the book... no tricks. Highly recommended.

Without a doubt the best History teacher at PBCC. He loves teaching, and loves history. Take notes! Tests and quizzes are straight from notes... study & do your work and there is no chance to fail! Book really isnt necessary ... Highly recommended.

He loves what he teaches, he is a really nice guy but doesn't specifically say what will be on the quizzes. Only quizzes, and two big papers, and a midterm and final. Very boring.

I feel so lucky I got Professor Dillon! One of the best teachers at PBSC. He loves the subject and is passionate about teaching it (both of these qualities are RARE at this sub par low quality school). He could easily be teaching at a real school.

A genuine nice guy. You can tell he loves what he teaches, even if the material is boring at times. There's four 10 question quizzes, a midterm, a research paper, and a final. Doesn't care if you get up and leave. Passes around attendance sheet most classes. Easy to talk to to. Encourages discussion a lot. If you show up & take notes, easy A or B.

I took online. His class wasn't fun, he wasn't very helpful, his questions were so worded I didn't even know what he was asking sometimes. It's not a hard class, just a pain. I'm taking him again, only because I know what he's looking for.

Awesome teacher! My interests in history were relatively mild till I took this Mr. Dillon. He loves history, which radiates through his classes, at times engaging all the students in a unified discussions and still was able to pull the class back into lecture. His tests arent cakewalks but if you read the book and pay attention an "A" is imminent.

Prof. Dillon is the nicest professor I've ever had. He is so nice every day, I was wondering when he'd get annoyed with a redundant question and it never happened. His lectures cover EVERYTHING that the tests cover. Take good notes and you are guaranteed an "A". I highly recommend him and I would take him again in the future.

Dillon is so NICE! And a great professor. After taking this class you will have a different perspective in history. He doesn't make it dull like every teacher in high school. Take notes and study for the tests and it's an easy A or B...depending on how much you study!

Great professor! Although I do not like History and it is extremely boring to me, I did enjoy his class. 4 quizzes, 10 questions and you have 10 minutes. Take notes and pay attention and you will be perfectly fine. You can tell that he truly loves History. He will answer any question you have. Very fair teacher and wants all his students to pass.

Let?s get the obvious out of the way? History is boring? He does a great job of keeping your attention and overall the class is pretty easy. His quizzes, midterm, and final are based off his notes, so save your money and DO NOT buy the book.

Outstanding professor; really knows his stuff, he will bend over backwards to help-just ask. Tests are from the notes and his organization is very clear. One small, 3000 word, paper, if you pay attention, and take notes (and study them) this should be an easy "A." He will take the whole class time, but he does a good job of holding your attention.

Professor Dillon is the best teacher ever!! I would totally recommend him! He is very clear, very very entertaining, he was able to make history fun at 6 pm!!! He curves, so its an easy A, he wants everybody to have a good grade! Pick him and u will not regret it!!!

walked in halfway through the final exam, he smiled as i was walking up to him and just gave me my test. didnt need extra time because his test was that easy,everything came from the notes. he couldve easily turned me away and failed me, but he didnt and that showed how much he cares for his students

Great Professor, he is very knowledgeable and he does use his time wisely considering he has to go through a lot of information. This will be one of the best classes you will take, he is so enthusiastic about history and as much as the subject may be boring he just makes it fun. He is one of my favorite teachers so far .

His classes are long but he makes history so entertaining and his very clear he write all the topics on the board each class. If you study the topics that he talk about you will be good. very nice professor. i will take him again if I need another History class. :)

I currently have Professor Dillon for honors American history, and his class is easily my favorite. He makes history very interesting and does a very good job presenting history in an unbiased way which allows us to develop our own opinions. His quizzes are very easy if you read the material. He's extremely kind and truly cares for his students.

Professor Dillon is an amazing instructor he has a true passion for history. I learned so much with him and I am truly thankful to him. We need more professor like him in this world. I will miss his class and I hope to take another class with him in the future :)

Amazing professor! I took him over the summer in a 6 week class, so I was in class for three hours at a time. He lectured the entire time and was still able to keep me completely engaged. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about history. One of my favorite professors at Palm Beach State.

Not a bad professor. Emails you a week or two later. Seems to be understanding in his emails. Grades everything a month in a half later into the semester or before the class is over. Professor Dillon is an amazing teacher. He is very organized and literally follows the Main points of the textbook. He loves to use the board for outlining what he plans on teaching for the day, and even does a quick review of the day before. If you pay attention in class and take the notes, quizzes and tests are fairly easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

BEST professor I've ever come across in my life. I was NOT excited about taking this class, but he made lectures into an exciting story. His compassion and knowledge of history sets him apart. It can be a long class but it's history. He has the kindest soul. I won't ever forget him!

He gives 4 quizzes which are relatively easy! He drops the lowest one. The final and the midterm consist of 1 essay questions that accounts for about half your grade on those exams.. don't worry tho, he usually tells you what it will be about. He is very enthusiastic and grades fair.

this prof was so sweet. history is not my subject, but he finds a way to make each chapter a part of a story he tells each class. he also tries his hardest for his students to understand what is going on; he even puts on a little act when he talks about presidents! i would definitely take this professor again!

Really nice guy, aside from the gargantuan amount of reading, this class wasn't particularly difficult. He gives key term sheets, if you make notes on these terms you'll ace the class. Very understanding if a personal issue comes up. Make sure to show participation, and he will be very generous grading you. If possible take his honors.-fantastic.

I took this course over Summer A so it was a little fast paced. Overall, Dillon is a great professor. He gave 4 quizzes and 2 exams, passed with an easy A. The only thing is he doesn't do power points or simplified notes so be prepared to take your own notes. Also, you don't need the book.

During summer, it goes by fast. LONG CLASS & he lectures the whole time. But he's not that boring so he keeps you interested. A few quizzes & the midterm & final. If you study, you'll pass. Attendance is a MUST. There's a research paper that's real easy. He tries to keep it interesting. Overall, he's a great Proffessor. Has a passion for history.

Overall this class was great. The professor was very nice and passionate about the topic. Long lecture but its a must to attend. Great teacher! He is very sweet and really loves the material he is teaching. The class is super easy! You only have 4 quizzes all year and one paper (plus a mid-term and final) but he grades super easy and almost all of the information on the quizzes are straight definitions.

NO book needed. The lecture are good enough to pass with an A. Easy class. 2 assignments and discussions due every Sunday.

Class consisted of 4 quizzes 10 questions each, 1 Midterm exam cumulative, 1 final exam not cumulative, and 1 paper. I never read the book his lectures cover all of the materials. Lectures were extremely organized, entertaining and clear but be prepared to take notes. I found it helpful to recorded the lectures. He is very knowledgeable and helpful

I loved Prof Dillon! He is a very good teacher, enthusiast about his subject. Lectures are long, but he throw in the occasional joke and makes them likeable. I felt that I learned a lot and would definitely recommend him. Show up, and participate. If you take notes, you'll barely need to look at the book.

Man this guy is classic! Loves history... Its a lot of information to remember when the test come around but he was so nice I dont even care what grade I get. Gives extra credit and grades pretty easy. This guy would forget his notes and still be able to give an hour lecture in order without missing a beat. Kinda funny at times too

Overall this was an easy class but he takes a while to grade discussions and assignments. I honestly don't think he ever reads them. If you like feedback, he is not for you. If you submit assignments on time and read his lectures you will be fine.

Honestly probably one of the best history professors on the Boca campus! He is so dedicated to history, and his class is literally impossible to fail if you show up. This class is one of the best I've ever taken. Mr. Dillon had blackboard organized very well. He was super responsive to emails and was not short with his responses. He provided comprehensive written lectures which made the course extra interesting. His discussion and assignment questions are thought provoking. He welcomes each student's opinions.

Every week there is two lessons and you have to submit 2 discussions and 1 assignment. Very easy! the most difficult thing were the quizzes (4) and Exams (midterm and final). quizzes are 10 questions and 10 minutes. way too much pressure, could never finish on time. Use his lectures more than the book when preparing for the test.

I went into this class with a very "ehh" feeling about history in general. This class changed that. Dude is a great professor, I took him for summer so the class was accelerated. The lectures were crammed but I was engaged the whole time. Take him if you want to learn, he knows history in and out. I truly enjoyed his class. No PP, just lectures.

This was one of the few online classes where the teacher put actual effort into the materials. For each chapter there is a written lecture that he wrote, along with a link to other supplemental material. Quizzes and exams require some studying, but are straightforward. He did go a month without grading a single thing though.

I took his summer course AMH2010 and he was the absolute best!!! The tests and quizzes are multiple choice and super easy if you read over your notes once before the test. He made us write 1 paper that was 3 pages, but it was ALL BULLET POINTS, no format necessary. He is so into History that his lectures are like story time! Just show up!

GREAT TEACHER! you must show up to his classes because he writes down everything that will be on the test the board! Textbook is useful but "quizlet" seemed to help me out a lot also. easy A as long as you are willing to show up to class and write down his notes

I am graduating my AA this semester, and after two years of attending PBSC there are three top professors that I am happy I took and Professor Dillon is one of them. Professor Dillon is a very nice professor, probably the nicest you can get. He makes his tests and quizzes super easy, so you don't have to stress out about it. He isn't a tough grader and will negotiate with you if you missed an assignment, and he lets you ask questions before tests. He's there to actually help you learn, and not punish you.

I love reading his lectures. Its an easy class you just have to like reading. Only down side is he takes forever to answer emails and grade work. 2 discussion a week and 1 easy assignment. Both based on his lectures. Test and quizzes are also based on lecture, which is nice because they are interesting to read.

Teacher is so passionate about history that it makes it entertaining. Just take good notes or get them from someone if you miss class. Make flashcards. I got an A in the summer accelerated course which was tough just because of super long classes and lots of info in a short time, but not unreasonable. Tests are fairly easy. Didn't use the book.

I am by any means a history person but Professor Dillon is a very passionate, respectful, joyful, overall good classic kind of guy who likes things old fashioned and simple, he loves what he does and i actually found myself listening most of the time which shocked myself, he offers extra credit, he wants you to succeed and love his class.

I took this course online, it was easy to get done throughout the week but if you didn't study the lectures (which are actually quite interesting for someone who is not interested in reading about history) you will not do well on tests/quizzes. The tests are on a large number of sections so try and keep up! He was hard to reach via email though.

You don't need the textbook, he explains everything. Some concepts are dull, others are intriguing. He explains it in a way where you can understand it. I really like that. I recommend going over your notes every night. If you do that the class is easy. No home work, couple quiz's and one paper. Really great teacher, will be taking again.

Profession Dillion is an excellent history professor. His lectures are interesting and he brings stories into them. I picked him because of the reviews on rate my professor and I'm glad I did. I truly enjoyed his class. He allowed late students to submit makeup work and gives ex-credit assignments.

Handful of quizzes a midterm and a final and one paper. After that you are done. You don't need a textbook, his lectures are very informative, write down good notes and you will be fine. He makes it interesting and if you study from your notes, I knew people who struggled in his class and their studying material wasn't up to par.

Prof Dillon is awesome ! He is knowledgeable and cares about your well being in the class. He gives 4 quizzes, 1 paper, midterm, & final. He drops the lowest quiz. If you study the lectures you'll do great on the quizzes and exams. Paper was 3 pages double spaced so pretty short. I would take him again! Take this class if you need it!

Professor Dillon is great, loves his lectures. The only thing that was challenging in his class , is the 15 minute timed quizzes. If you are a person who stress over timed test, this will be your only issue, but you will survive! One paper. He answers emails promptly. Overall excellent professor, He makes you want to learn more about history.

GREAT professor. don't buy the book, no need. he will hand out a paper with topics that will be covered. you will ONLY be tested on what he covers. don't miss class or be late. he starts on time. class sometimes goes late. quizzes are super easy and curved. test are multiple choice. the paper assignment is easy. midterm & final. not cumulative.

2 discussions (and replies),and an assignment every week, just turn it in by the due date and it's a hundred. Book isn't necessary, his lectures are great. The quizzes and exams can be tricky but they're still easy and come straight from the lectures so print them out, highlight and write the topics on the side of the paragraphs. Will take again.

Class consists of 3 discussions with a response and an assignment every week. A couple quizzes, the midterm, and final throughout. His lectures are easy to follow to where you don't need the book. He is forgiving when it comes to missing any quizzes and gives you the chance to make them up. Overall, non stressful class for the first remote semester

I took this class as an actual online class and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend you guys taking this class as an online class.

Took this course online and loved it! Prof Dillon is passionate about american history, you can tell in how he teaches. He gives 15 min timed quizzes but will always let you know in advance about it. The book is needed for the readings, he'll want you to know the content before class. Turn on your cam/audio, he gives more cred towards participation

Honestly, I took this course online for Summer 2021 and it was super easy. He assigns 2-3 lessons discussions per week and you get to choose one lesson you do a short assignment for. His quizzes are easy if you read the one-page lectures for the lessons. He's an easy grader, take the course!

You don't need the textbook, he basically gives his lectures verbatim from his notes, which he gives you. Bring those notes to class!! Turn on your camera, answer questions, you'll do great.

The only professor I have ever rated on here, he is amazing and inspirational, even throughout a 3 1/2 hour online class. Always has a smile on his face and cares that you are learning.

Professor Dillon is a very kind professor who wants everyone to succeed. He gives 6 tests(4 quizzes and 2 exams) that are rather easy if you listen. He gives makeup test dates, and one paper is due near the middle of the semester. His classes are just lectures, but he is very open to discussion if anyone has questions. Overall a great professor!

Two discussions and one assignment per week, everything is simple and laid out. The written lectures and readings were engaging. Honestly pretty easy, only took me around two hours every week. Sometimes took a while to grade (one time he took a whole month), but it didn't really matter to me.

I took this class online super easy. 2 discussions and 2 assignments every week 4 quizzes, a midterm and a final. You will not find the answers for the final and midterm online so you have to read the book but other than that super easy class.

I recommend Professor Dillon to anyone that taking AMH. He only assigned four assignments every week, making this class incredibly simple. We had two discussions about the subject, and there were two assignments. He handed us a midterm, a final, and a couple of extremely simple quizzes. He is not a difficult grader, take him.

Dude I wish I can take him for all my college classes. There are only 4 quizzes that are online and open note. Only 2000 word paper thats very easy. Very passionate about history and respectful, def take him if you can !

Professor relates boring material in a way that's easy to consume if you're not history savvy. He began the course lecture by declaring history is boring, but his maps, energy, and freedom on assignments make him a must take professor if you love history or need a Gen Ed credit

Such a sweet guy! His lectures are very discussion-like, which feels very relaxed. He reviews every topic before moving on. If you pay attention and be respectful, it's an easy A+.

Took his 6 week summer class, and even though it was a lot of work, he only graded a few things so your grade doesn't tank. I missed many of the assignments and still passed the class. He dropped the lowest quiz/test score. Really enjoyed his class and really recommend it to anyone who needs their last credit.

Definitely recommend Professor Dillon! There is very little work and no homework. You take quizzes and tests every once in a while, and you complete them from home. He's so passionate about history, so it makes it interesting!
