Benefits: - Answers all questions - Lectures go very in-depth - Material is pretty easy if you pay attention - Hybrid course - Tests and homework tend to be easy Disadvantages: - A bit boring - Participation is asked for but not required - Attendance is mandatory - A LOT of homework - Homework is unnecessarily long - Purchase of access code
Best Professor for STATS. Good in depth lectures. Answers all questions. If u r ready 2 put in the hours you can get an easy A. One mid term and final, allows to use excel for exams. Homework and online tests on Pearson help a lot to prepare for exams. Exam questions very similar to online homeworks and tests. Can move a few due dates on request.
This prof is honestly the sweetest and most caring guy but his lectures are simply him reading from a powerpoint so dont count on learning much in class. His class is fairly easy to pass because the content is not hard. Lots of online homework and quizzes that are really easy to do just time consuming. I wouldnt recommend him if math isnt ur thing
Professor Aristizabal is enthusiastic about teaching and he really knows his stuff. He always has time for me when I need help with my assignments either right after class or in his office. I highly recommend him. Best STATS teacher I ever had!
Class is pretty easy, even if you're not a math person. Proffesor's syllabus is a mess, constantly changing dates but will work with you if whole class agrees on changing due date. hw + interactive assignment, quiz in class, take home chapter test. 1 midterm (SUPER EASY-for me at least) and 1 final. extra credit opportunities.
Honestly this is one of the best professors you could ever take. He offers a lot of extra credit and is willing to extend HW and class quizzes if the class agrees. Obviously the lectures are a bit boring - its math so don't be so shocked. People giving him average clearly can't appreciate a good professor and/or are just plain lazy.
Great professor honestly, he breaks down every chapter in great. You just have to be present in class and do your part. He will help you with the rest.
He is the sweetest! He gives lots of extra credit opportunity and he wants everyone to pass his class. He extends due dates as needed if the whole class agrees. If you do not succeed in this class, it is because you didn't put in your work at home. If you need to fulfill a math credit, take him! You won't regret it.
I was very lucky I had Professor Aristizabal for Stats because this is not an easy class. He explains the math problem as many times you need and he is very patient. Also, he is very considerate by giving enough time to finish your homework and gives you more than one attempt on all tests. And best part of all, he will give you extra credit! :)
He is a great professor and he makes it extremely easy to get an A in his class. If you have 0-2 absences, he bumps you up 4% on your final grade. All his tests are based off of the homework, which you have unlimited chances for. So as long as you do the homework, you will be fine for the tests.
He selects the questions for the midterm and final from the hws which he gives. You have unlimited attempts for the hws and they're on Pearson, so you can review them anytime. The class isn't really hard and as long as you do the hw you'll be fine.
Professor Aristizabal was amazing and very generous, really cared about his students and tried very hard for everyone to understand the lessons, loved participation and used various methods to help us understand the concepts. Class was made very easy by his exceptional lecturing skills. There should be no reason you dont get an A in this class.
Professor Aristizabal is very caring and is always willing to help students out with whatever they don't understand. He always has a very positive attitude and you can tell that he really enjoys what he does. He also gives several extra credit opportunities which can really help your grade.
Took professor Aristizabal for the summer term, he is hilarious and very caring. It is a tough course but he tries his best to make it easy for you.
Amazing class. There are a lot of homeworks but they are easy. Tests are based off HWs and midterm/final/quizzes are based off tests. Entire course is on mylabs. The professor is extremely caring and wants everyone to pass with an A. Take this class!!!
He is very caring and understanding. This is not an easy class, but he does everything he can to make it passable.
"yes or yes?"
Professor Aristizabal is very caring and nice. Your grade in the course is based on IA, HW, Quizzes, and Tests (all on mySTATlab). Quizzes are in class but questions are taken from the tests which are available online a couple days prior to the quiz. Attendance and plickers (like clickers) make up 10% of grade.
TAKE HIM. One of the easiest classes. Tests are done online at home and you have 2-3 attempts. Online quizzes are done in class and are questions taken directly taken from the test and we are allowed to take test before quiz to study for it. We are allowed to use Statcrunch,an online calculator on all tests n quizzes. Homework is easy also.
Before taking this class I read all these great things about him. He is a nice and caring person but he is absolutely a horrible professor. You will be teaching yourself the entire semester, he lectures but nothing makes sense, barely speaks english, does not understand most students questions, very confusing and hard to reach outside of class.
I've never had a professor like this one. He is constantly confusing my class for his other classes which just makes literally everything confusing all the time. This professor is not clear with basically any directions he has ever given lol. Easy class if you do not mind teaching yourself everything. My experience with this professor was horrible.
Do NOT take him. Don't know why he has such high ratings. Honestly, he's a really nice professor but he has confused me all semester. He's a MESS with his work and his due dates. He doesn't respond to emails, and he barely knows what he's doing. The class could be pretty easy but he makes it much more difficult. Just don't take him for your sake.
He assigns assignments on mymathlab and its very helpful , i learned everything i needed to by doing the homework. Attendance gives you extra credit, he will be very helpful/understanding and personally he answered my emails. He wants to see you pass, this semester ended with remote learning so it was stressful on all of us. Take the class!
He is so nice but his students take advantage of him and it caused a lot of confusion for him, people dont understand this move to online is also hard for professors. Overall, we had a test for every chapter but we could take it at home and a quiz for every chapter that we would take in class. He had pluckers for participation grades & attendance
Homework and quizzes are basically the same thing. You know what you will be tested on. If you do homework questions then you will easily pass quizzes and tests. He is a good prof. He tries very hard for everyone to pass and to understand. I recommend him.
The class is fairly easy, you dont really need a professor as all the work is done on mymathlab and the exams are just the same questions as the homework. But this professor was just horrible at doing lectures, confused everyone more than helped. Never respond to emails, and also gets confused himself with student questions.
Quizzes and tests based directly on homework problems, so you can pass easily by doing the homework. Everything was straightforward, and he really wants his students to pass and understand. Moving to remote learning was rough, but that's to be expected. Students complaining about him during it just wanted everything handed to them. I recommend him!
A special professor. He makes it extremely clear to you on the first day that his class is structured for everyone to PASS. The quizzes are based on homeworks, and tests are based on quizzes, only reason you can fail is from simply not trying. He is kind, understanding and available on office hours. Engaging and knowledgeable, you won't regret it.
Messy teacher and he's all over the place. You have to teach yourself the material. His teaching style was not for me but if you put in the effort you can get an A. He is an understanding teacher.
He is a very nice and caring person. And his passion for statistics is immense. Everything is done throughout "Mystatlab". The quizzes comes from the homework and the tests come from both. Class attendance is mandatory too and some classes we did plickers. Overall, his class was easy but study and do the work. Would totally take him again!
A super easy class, even though there's hw due every week (unlimited attempts for every hw in mymathlab) Attendance is mandatory and can help with extra credit if you barely skip any of his classes. The midterms and finals are based off the practice hw he gives for them, so study from those and you'll pass the class easily. Definitely take him!
Professor Aristizabal definitely has a passion for teaching statistics. He is always in the best of moods and treats his students with a lot of love and patience. He lectures a l o t. That's what his class consists of. Other than that, you will have 1 homework assignment, 1 quiz, and 1 test due every 2 weeks or so. Very easy and doable class.
He's a great guy, he's really kind and cares so much about his students success but he isn't the best at making his lectures clear, you'll learn a lot from just doing the homework on statlab and going to the math lab but he's so understanding and really passionate about stats. Good choice if you can keep up.
This professor has an accent but he is so sweet and caring. Many unfortunate things happened in a few of his classes which was sad and my class felt bad. He is very passionate about his profession and expects respect out of his students. As long as you do every assignment and go to every class you will be fine!
Horrible teacher. Does not care about what you have to say. Will push religion on you. Does not answer emails. Does not teach. Teach yourself. And the work for tests? You can do it perfectly but if you don't draw a little graph it doesn't count.
He is a great guy, caring professor. However, the workload is heavy and it's truly a self taught class. Unfortunately, this semester was tough due to many zoom issues, etc. You will have to work for your grade in class, caring man but semi-difficult class.
This class was fairly easy but no thanks to the professor. I went to every class and the only thing he taught me was how to use stat crunch. The tests are straight from the homework, but you won't learn how to do the homework from him. He is also very hard to get a hold of. The semester is over and he still hasn't responded to an email I sent
He is really nice and understanding, and loves what he does, I recommend him.
he was ok. his lectures were bad but it was fairly easy with mystatlab. he does NOT respond to his emails and isn't all that understanding with his students. he also contradicts a lot of what he says and goes back and forth with what he wants. NOT clear with his instructions and goes crazy with the workload at the end of the semester.
Im a math person but I hated this class, the content was easy but the lectures were so boring I didnt learn anything from him, he never taught things that were on the homework, I was basically self-taught and relying on math lab. Would not take this class again with him. His quizzes were fairly easy though
TAKE HIM!!! I took this class in 6 weeks, summer 2020, online. The class was hard for me because I am terrible at math. But the professor was very understanding. He extended due dates for the entire class and made himself accessible via zoom to answers any questions we had about the material. Test are EXACTLY like the homework.
Professor Aristizabal is super nice and he really cares about his students. His lectures may not be the best but he's always available outside of class if you need extra help. I definitely recommend him
Like most math courses at FIU, you have to teach yourself. MyStat lab has options that show you the steps on how to solve all the problems - use it because that is the only way you will learn. His lectures are not useful at all but he is very understanding and will extend due dates if all the students ask for an extension. Overall, an easy class!
Great professor but sometimes he can be confusing. Dont be afraid to stay after class and ask for clarification because he will help you. He wants everyone to pass. 8 Hws & 8 Tests plus Midterm & Final. Overall, class was easy if you put in the effort.
when i tell u i was bamboozled by these reviews. I took stats fall 2020 so its covid classes nd this mfer SUCKS! This is the only class I have ever had a problem with, attending class just makes it more confusing. You teach yourself using the more help button on stats lab and he expects too much from everyone. The only teacher who didnt accommodate
This professor is the worst Statistic professor I have ever came across. For one, You have to basically teach yourself the whole semester. He is very hard to reach outside of class, he takes about 2-3 days to respond so if you need something urgent I advise to speak to your advisor to get in contact with him. He was very insensitive. DONT TAKE HIM!
He is very caring and really wants you to pass. He is easy to reach outside of class. The homework is not heavy at all and he provides practice exams for both the midterm and final. His lectures are not his strong suit, but he is always willing to answer questions. I recommend taking his class if you are a student who put in the effort.
Professor is caring and nice. He helps if needed and extends deadlines for exams. He gives extra credit if asked. I personally did learn from his lectures but many did not. He is a tough grader but will explain what he expects if asked, so have meetings with him and he will go in detail. If willing to put in the effort, take him!
Homework, chapter tests, midterm, and final are all on MyStatLab. If you do not understand the lesson in class, MyStatLab has great explanations for the homework questions. He is extremely caring, is willing to push homework and test due dates if students need more time, and will review and mark wrong test questions right if you meet with him.
I honestly didn't learn anything by going to class. I learned what I needed from the homework assigned in Statslab. The professor teaches but he's not that organized. He knows the material but I guess I just couldn't grasp it from him. Overall, just do the homework on Statslab and you'll pass.
Professor Aristizabal is a really nice professor, he was very understanding. If needed he will offer extensions for assignments so no reason to have not completed the assignments. It is also important to ask him questions if your confused on assignments, because the homework could be very time consuming and tricky. It is easy to pass this class!
Really nice. Helps you out if you ask during class meetings. Overall, really sweet.
Hi. This class is extremely easy and I am expecting to end this class with an "A". There are basically two hws per chapter, with 8 chapters in total. There are 3 proctored exams in total. He gives a review that is extremely helpful because he uses some of those questions for the actual tests. Tests are not cumulative. Usually extends due dates too.
This professor is absolutely amazing. He is the reason I passed statistics. He is so understanding that most of us have full-time jobs and a full school schedule. He is not one of those professors that makes your life difficult for no reason. If you need him he will schedule a one on one with you very quickly. TAKE HIS CLASS!
veryyy nice and understanding professor. he extended the due dates EVERY single time and makes sure we all are passing and doing good. completely online class but he answers emails and makes himself accessible through zoom. take him!!!! all work is thru my lab and 3 proctored exams but they are exactly like the hw. TAKE HIM.
Assignments /homework: too much, he gives extensions. 3 tests; each one including 3-4 chapters of questions. Go over his practice quiz for each test and you will pass. Overall, nothing difficult thanks to statcrunch and excel(not hard to learn). You won't know your grade in class, like at all. You gotta calculate it in Excel, he sends spreadsheet.
Given that this class was online I was very nervous. Dont hesitate to take him. He uploads tons of videos of him explaining the material. You have a lot of extra credit opportunities and he will work with you. Homework, test and exams are similar so you wont find any surprises. He is the most caring Professor at FIU, very dedicated to his students.
he is very very helpful. in order to do good in this class, you must be consistent with your homework and you will be fine for the test. he is very caring and reachable and is always available.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR DURING SUMMER. REPEAT. DO NOT. Way to much work to complete in this short amount of time. Teacher was unprepared for the online modality and completely messed up our schedule we probably wont even finish by June 18
This man right here is the most unorganized professor Ive had in my 3 years at FIU. The amount of time given for assignments is absurdly minimal for the sheer amount of work. He promises extensions during class and then never gives them until students continuously email him to the point that some chapters are overlapping each other JUST AVOID HIM
Do not take this professor for an online-live environment course or an accelerated 6 week online course. He is unorganized, doesn't understand due dates, he's slow to respond to emails and he'll even get your class calendar mixed up with another one. He couldn't even schedule an exam correctly. Save yourself the headache and avoid if you can.
Took this professor for a summer class. This man has NO idea of how much work he leaves. Covering approximately 2 chapters per week, each chapter coming with at LEAST 4 assignments PLUS a chapter test. This class has 1.5 exams PER WEEK not counting the proctored tests or the final. We're spending 20 hours per week on this class ALONE. DO NOT TAKE
This class is all homework assignments and tests. The teacher doesn't really provide anything to the class and makes simple assignments seem extremely confusing. I'd say try to find a more efficient teacher.
Just finished taking his summer class and I can say he is a very caring professor and is passionate about his subject. He made sure to adjust based on out needs, be understanding, and help us any time he could. I would recommend taking him, great overall class.
really nice and kind professor! hes a little unorganized but always work with you, you wont fail. Homework are on Statcrunch (a lot and time consuming) .. exams are proctored but EXACTLY like the hw, chapter test, and exam review. Basically, youll pass but its a little annoying lol.
Teaching is disorganized and confusing. Struggles to explain himself and key points of the lesson
He's a good professor, he tries his best to explain things & address any doubts you might have although sometimes, it's hard to communicate with him. The class material is pretty difficult. He assigns one assignment every week or two but they're really long and time consuming. The class is definitely doable, just get ready to put in the work.
He really wants you to pass and is very helpful. He is easy to access outside of class. Most important thing is to make sure you review the PowerPoint before class and answer all the play posits
Professor Rodrigo makes this class easy to get an A+. Do the HWs and you will pass the exams which literally he copies the HW problems. Also go to class so you can get the free attendance points. Take him.
Took him pre-covid. IDK how he has such high ratings. He's nice & caring, and he doesn't want you to fail, that's true. However, you will have to teach yourself the content. He always misunderstands questions. Way too heavy on attendance, class day after thanksgiving. Not the worst, but a skip. I suggest scrolling down and reading older reviews.
HORRIBLE class. ive never had such a bad experience in all of my college life. rude and did not listen to his students. no idea how i even passed this class but it was difficult do yourself a favor and try a different professor it was hard to even contact him outside of class and if you did contact him it wasnt a pleasant experience.
I took this class during Summer A 2021. There was a lot of work, but that's expected from a 6-week math course. The professor was caring and often extended assignments when asked. He also responded to emails pretty quickly in my opinion. As long as you do all the work and put in effort to learn you'll pass. He gave me a rec letter for grad school.
the online course is self taught, he will send you youtube video he has created that aren't specific to any of the assignments on the math lab. The amount of work compare to the way he grades is unjust, 100% on hw and assignments however 50% on proctored test will get you a 50 on overall grade .
He is an OK professor. He is very kind and really cares about his students. You do have to complete a lot of homework/tests but he usually gives extensions. Do not take him if you're lazy because he WILL make you work.
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I promise it will help you. I have taken this class 3 times, this one being the third. He lectures in a way that makes sense. If you sit in the front, answer questions and participate, he helps you a lot. Schedule zoom meetings with him and he always explains the material again. You can tell that he teaches because he cares.
He helps. He posts so many power points and videos. He will help you pass if you show him an effort in the class and the material. Watch the videos and download the PowerPoints. If you are a lazy student, do not blame the professor.
He is kind and he cares about his students. He starts the class saying that he wants everyone to succeed. If you fail, it's because you are not going to class, doing the homework, or studying ahead of time. This man deserves a raise.
Make an effort and you will do good. He cares. He explains. I am taking him for another class again in the Fall 2022 term.
Everyone who said he was rude, or didn't help was probably a student who procastinated and didn't try. That's not going to work here. It's a math class. There is going to be a lot of hw, tests, etc. If you don't want to work, don't enroll at FIU.
This class has a lot of HW. It is not an easy A. Here is something you have to do, TRYYYYY! If you care, he will help you. Stop being lazy. He gives extra credit.
I have never had such a horrible experience with a professor at FIU. Not only was he disrespectful, but he was extremely rude. Does not care about his students and you can never get in contact with him. I do not recommend this professor, do not take this class unless you want to fail.
Stats is not easy by any means but this professor gives alot of assignments worth very little. No lecture videos & u have to teach yourself w/ MyStatLab. It is like we do not have real lives & other courses.Tests are worth 80% of final grade & there is alot of them. 3 PROCTORED exams, weekly chapter tests & tons of weekly assignments.
He's a really nice guy that does care about teaching but many concepts get lost in his lecture. Attendance is worth 5% of your grade which is why by the fourth week only 20% of the class is still attending lectures. All the questions on the test are questions from the homework with different numbers. If you can teach yourself, take him & LOTS of HW
A lot of people in my class complained about him. Simply because they were lazy and always wanted extensions. Don't procrastinate and leave your assignments until the last minute. He is ok but it's your responsibility to study. Test is just like the hw and you get 2 attempts.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! He is nice and offers extended deadlines. HE REALLY IS A SUPPORTIVE TEACHER!!. However, is not easy to get an A. You really have to put effort to learn this. If you learn how to use excel and statscrunch- YOU WILL PASS! Learn the formulas too. There are few proctor exams. He offers LOTS of extra credit if you COME TO CLASS!
If you want an engaging professor then do not take his class. Only take his class if you have no other option and know how to teach yourself statistics. An insane amount of homework is due every week and you have to pay to take the exams on honor lock. You're better off learning the class yourself at home than going to his lectures.
He's a sweet guy but not the best at explaining the material. If you're bad at stats you should take a different professor because you will not learn anything in this class. He does give a lot of extra credit tho.
I think that Professor Aristizabal is a great person, and he is caring. Do you have to study a lot to get a good grade? Yes! There are lots of homework, but the lab tool is amazing and extremely helpful. And Professor Aristizabal is very understanding and willing to help if you also want to work on it.
I think that the class isn't easy, but it has nothing to do with the Prof. I think that Prof. Rodrigo Aristizabal is nice and patient. He is concerned about your success if you are concerned too. Is the class hard? Yes! It is a statistics class! There are lots of homework, but the tools provided are great. Lab, the PowerPoint, the video etc...
Extremely nice teacher. Lot of homework and chapter tests but the website we did homework on was so helpful (the homework was super similar to all quizzes and tests since everything was on the same platform). Effort is definitely needed, and while he isn't the absolute best lecturer, he is very kind and understanding and can help you if you ask.
I took this professor back in the fall of 2021, and he was a great professor yet was probably not ideal for me. I am horrible at math, and this course was learning on your own. In general though, for those who are good with numbers and can learn themselves this professor is great for you. He was great with communication and lots extra credit.
He has a really strong accent and you can't really understand him. But that didn't really matter since all of the work is on mylab pearson. If you do all of the homework then you'll understand the majority of it. I'm bad at math but was able to get an A since the online assignments are easy to follow. Definitely pace the work b/c it can be a lot.
Very kind man;passionate about his teachings. Material is all on MyMathLab (homework and tests) w/ three proctored tests which you can use StatCrunch/Excel for. Only downside is lectures are not his strong suit. If you need step by step guidance with visuals/hands on, he may not be the best option. Overall, does as much as possible for us to pass.
Spends the whole class lecturing off the textbook ppt so you can teach yourself if you want. Otherwise, pretty good professor
Although most of the content you learn by yourself online through pearson. He is really great at explaining his concepts in his lectures. He offered extra office hours, did a tone of extensions on our assignments, allowed late work, and test were easy (if you studied of course). I absolutetly recomend
This class was nice and easy coming from someone who really struggles in math. The professor is very understanding and will try to work with you. You do still have to dedicate a lot of time to this class to get a passing grade.
He's a good professor. He's nice and fun. He also tries his best to helps us understand, I just really hate this class. I'm a straight A student yet I found it hard to even get A's on these exams. The workload is a lot and this class took up a lot of my time. He teaches well, but has an accent that makes it difficult to understand.
Honestly the best professor I have had at FIU, by far. He cares very much about his students and their understanding of the material; you can tell he loves what he does because he teaches it with a passion. Truly 5/5 in any way you could critique a professor as a teacher and for the way he has structured the class. 100% recommend taking his class.
The professor is extremely nice and tries to explain as best as he can however, I found it difficult to understand him most of the time. We used mylab to complete our assignments, I learned everything through there. He is kind and does give extra credit, also reopens assignments if you missed them but you will be teaching yourself this course.
By far the best Professor I have ever had at FIU. He lectures off of PowerPoints each class and there is a lot of homework but it is easy. He also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. He is very caring about his students and wants them to succeed. Highly recommend him!
i had professor aristizabal for the summer term. even though this was an intensive course, he made sure to cover all the material during the lecture. he made sure to help students understand concepts in several different techniques, visual and theoretical. if you really want to go into data analysis/ research, prof aristizabal is a solid choice.
This professor does a great job of maintaining clear communication through regular announcements on Canvas. The assignments are spaced out and he's flexible about deadlines. However, one challenge is that we didn't know our grades unless we manually input them into a spreadsheet. This class is test heavy.
Professor Rodrigo is understanding and passionate, though lectures can be tough to follow. The course material is manageable if you stay on top of the online assignments and use resources like Unstuck study alongside the textbook.
He incorporates engaging examples in class and is dedicated to ensuring that your understanding extends beyond merely solving the problem to grasping the underlying structure and reasoning behind its setup. He also enlists the help of students performing well to partner with struggling students to ensure their needs for understanding are met.
Although he does care about his students and offers a lot of grade opportunities- the work load is very heavy along with pop quizzes every day with graded attendance. You'll have to put a lot of time and work into this class to succeed. He also tends to ramble about certain topics and goes over lecture time. Overall nice guy though.
All we used in this class was Pearson, and personally I dont mind it, but he doesn't show our grades until the end of the semester, so it is very annoying. Overall, he is accessible outside of class but I woulnt't really take this class online again because there is a lot of content to learn.
a really sweet guy who is very passionate about his subject. he really cares for his students and wants them all to succeed. stats is hard but he tries his best to engage the class and make sure the content is understood by everyone. theres 10% extra credit you could do, class load is manageable just manage your time correctly lol
Such a sweet professor. Took the class in person and there were pop quizzes that were locked so you needed the code. Although attendance wasn't mandatory it was part of the grade and he would give extra credit to people who went. He really makes an effort to make sure we all pass. He's very passionate about stats.
Overall sweet guy, would not take again. His lectures were not beneficial. He uses pearson which I used teach myself the class. The worst part was the group projects, the instructions were never clear and he only took in person submission. Seemed like a petty effort at making more people go to class. Attendance was mandatory but not beneficial.
Professor Aristizabal was nice, but not the best at teaching Stats. The good thing was that the exams had the questions he provided in the practices. I got an A b/c I used the practice questions to study. He also replaced the first exam w/ the final exam, which helped immensely. Exams are on Honorlock & I always got locked out b/c of Statcrunch.
I wouldn't recommend this course as an accelerated course! Lots of work. Professor was nice and caring though
I loved Professor Aristizabal's class. He is a super nice and supportive professor who would go out of his way to help you and answer all your questions. He held office hours multiple times a week and responded to emails promptly. Also, he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, which help you out a ton. Would highly recommend.
I really recommend this Professor, he was super nice and helpful. For the class itself, the online assignments and homework are really useful and have everything that will be on the exams (there are 3). You get extra credit for doing the practice exams and the homework. He has available appointments to meet weekly and can ask all your questions.
Way way way too much work put into taking the tests. its an intro stats class and my easiest class this semester calm down im trying to take a test not memorize the million steps i need to make to take this test. and so much homework. like 8 assignments and a test each week and each question has 20 parts but theyre all so easy its just busy work.
He makes this class unnecesarily difficult. There's a lot of assignments that are super long, like 5-8 per week, and there's also a quiz every week. They're not hard, just very time consuming. He doesn't grade anything until the end of the semester. There's 3 proctored exams in total and he uses honorlock for all of them.
He is such a generous and kind professor. He cares about everyone in the class, and has a lot of passion in his work. By the way, there are so many homework every week and it is hard to catch up all of that. Also 3 proctored tests per semester were taken by Honorlock kill myself obviously. Very nice teacher, but hard to handle this class.
Such an insane amount of assignments. Every week get ready to answer literally hundreds of questions as you have like 10 assignments and each one has 20 questions with 10 parts each. It is so obnoxious the amount of work he assigns for a beginner stats class. It's not even hard work it just takes hours and is absolutely not worth it.
Prof. Aristizabal is such a sweet prof. His lectures are very entertaining and he always has so much energy. You can tell he is very passionate about what he teaches and he always does it with a smile. There is quite a lot of hw but he gives 2 weeks between hw so it's not bad. There are 3 exams. But he gives a LOT of extra credit. Pls take him!!!!!
