He is very helpful. Boring as hell. He doesnt teach very well but at least tries and gives his best.

He is OK. Not the best, not the worst. Hopefully he will get more experience with time since this was his first time teaching at MDC. If you are willing to study, take him. I guarantee you will get an A

His accent is heavy but his powerpoint presentations help, make sure you go to class. You don't need to buy the book. He really tries to help, if he sees that you care.

Extremely kind and helpful. Let me start by saying he helps his students a LOT...he is willing to extend due dates, gives you homework for extra credit, and is willing to work with you. This is a hard class and you have to study, he doesnt make it harder, it is just the way the class is. I would take him again for sure

The Professor is extremely helpful and tries his best to help. Key points: print the power point presentations, get yourself a calculator and learn it's functions, do your homework and attend all classes (you will get extra credits for it). Also, put in a little effort into it... I guarantee: you might not get an A but you will pass for sure...

This professor is extremely helpful. All you have to do is keep doing the homework and of course STUDY. This is a really HARD class, however you can get an A. So, if you care about your GPA take him, study, pay attention, and you'll pass the class for sure. I took this class with other professor and I drop it after the first class.

He's a great professor! He makes sure he goes everything, and will answer all questions. He's very lenient. The class consists of online and in class tests, online count as 40% and in class count as 60%, so if you fail one you don't necessarily get an F. In-class tests are 2 questions long, & hw counts as extra credit! Easy A if you put in work!

Prof Aristizabal, is an excellent professor, if you put in the time you will get an A in this class. He has a strong Spanish accent, but he will repeat himself until you understand him. For his statistics class you do not need the book but you will need to get the math lab. The math lab contains the book and you can take his online tests.

Professor Rodrigo is excellent! he is very helpful with everything! if you miss assignments and have a valid excuse as to why he will let you make them up. he is very clear as to what is going to be on exams , but the exams are only a 2-3 questions , if you study the slides from the lectures then you will be sure to pass. he is very helpful!

The professor is extremely patient. Even though he has an accident if you don't understand he will do another example until you understand. He does teach from power points but he does the examples with you in class. He's very clear on what is going to be on the test. He is always willing to help you before or after class individually.

I had a Blended class, part online and part in-class. Although it was sometimes difficult to understand him (thick accent), he is a great teacher. He will take time to help you if you need it and is very understanding to your needs.

MR. Aristizabal is a fair teacher. He will work with you if you work with him. He is big on class participation and will give ample chances to get a good grade in his class. You as a student must ask questions so you can get the best out of him. Do the homework on time and do your best to get the max points where you can.

This man is simply amazing, you will understand stats. Make sure to get a ti-83 or 84, made the work a lot more manageable. he will do all he can to help. there are 4 in class tests and a bit of online work! attendance counts but is not required so make sure you show up and you will do fine!

He is a really good math prof. Has an accent, but you get used to it and can understand lectures. Exams are only 2 or 3 questions long so you need to know your stuff. He gives formulas to be used on exams and helps you out. Overall good professor, one of the best I've encountered for math at all in college. Also, he is a fair grader. Online book.

Very helpful professor and is clear with the lecture. I failed stats twice and was lost both times I took it. But when I took it with him we I passed.

The test are a little hard because they are only a few questions, but the content its not hard. He explains everything very good and reviews a lot.

Take it! This professor is super nice and is always willing to help students to understand the subject. This class is hard because it's too much for one term but if you put your effort and with the professor's help and online practice you will be fine! In my personal experience I got a 64 in my first exam but I ended it with an A.

Professor Aristizabal is very passionate about Math, he gets excited and animated. At times he can be funny. MGF 1106 is a serious subject. He will do what he can to help you (extra credit) but you also have to help yourself and do the requirements. I really did enjoy being in his class. Take him you'll pass!

I took my class during the summer so the pace was faster. However, the professor was well prepared to teach at quicker pace. He is fair and more than willing to work with you so you can be successful and pass your course.

I am surprised by the negative reviews STA2023 is not an easy class because of its content, professor Aristizabal does the humanly possible to make the content clear and offers support. STA its a class for which you must study, preferably read the chapter before the lecture, if you do his explanation will be more than clear & Keep up with the lab!

He has a peculiar way of explaining things, however, as long as you do the homework, show up to class, and study, he offers A LOT of extra credit and therefore you will pass. The class itself requires a lot of work. We used connectmath which includes the textbook. All of the homework is online as are the tests. If you keep up with your homework and do well on the test you will pass this class. He is very helpful and although has an accent is understandable. I enjoyed his class and would take it again. Gives extra credit, makes sure you understand the material, will stay after class to go over problems until you understand them, Curves grading when you show effort, I will be taking statistics with him!

Good professor overall. Lots of homework but will help with the tests. Gives extra credit which is nice. Also cooperative and will help you if you have questions. The subject is difficult but if you pay attention to his lectures and are on top of the homework you will be fine. :)

He gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit, take advantage of them & just make sure you are prepared for class & are aware of the assignment due dates

Math is not my thing but he helped students a lot by giving enough opportunities to pass and get extra credit. Not the best teacher when it comes to helping you fully understand but is very passionate about math. Not a difficult course, everything was done on mathlab.

Very caring professor. Lots of online homework and online test, but you have to do them even if the class is online. He gives you a lot of extra credit opportunity. You will NOT find a more caring and helpful professor than him. The lectures might be confusing sometimes especially for someone who isn't that good at math but he's always willing to help you by giving extra credits, reopening homework/tests and flexibility with your grade.

This professor is a hidden gem! YES statistics is hard, but he allows you many opportunities to bring up your grade. Great professor ! I took 3 classes with him and passed with an A . He is very caring and understanding . If you do all your work , thats no way you will fail his classes . He gives extra credit and gives second chances for the online test if you miss it . But the midterm and final is one shot, but if you study and do all the homework u will pass.

I got an A on all 3 times I took his class. He is awesome and easy . He will make sure to grade fairly and reopen assignments to students that couldnt do on time. Midterms and finals are one chance only but it is mostly based on the review he gives before the tests to practice. Lots of homework but it helps with the learning process.

He is by far the most humble and caring teacher Ive ever met. Tests are mostly untimed and take-home, except for the midterm and final. Quizzes about once a week. The course does move fast and you should be able to teach yourself on occasion. If you barely passed MAC1105, I dont recommend this class. If youre decent at math and have time, do it.
