I would recommend this professor. He is a teacher that, not like many, is very caring for his students. He offers much help if needed, and is very willing to answer any questions. His lectures are very clear as he explains every problem step-by-step. However, his tests can be challenging at times, so it's important to not slack in doing homework.

Awesome guy, I passed the class with an A after failing Intermediate with Prof. Albright. Class is though because it Algebra but he will make sure that you understand are you are ready for the test. His awesome, he also speaks Spanish, so if english is not your first language thats a plus.

Love Love Love! I am mathematically challenged and did horrible in highschool. However, with Aleman teaching, I get it! My only con is he only grades tests. No graded h.w. so you use it more as a study guide. He does offer xtra credit and will drop your lowest test grade. I am about to take stats with him and am feeling confident. Take Aleman!

Took MGF1106 twice before and didn't pass. Took it with him and made an A+. Definitely recommend taking math with him, he dumbs it down for those that struggle with math like I do. He cares A LOT about your grade and will do almost anything to make it possible for you to pass.

He is an incredible math teacher. He is the first one that I've liked at Polk State. He does lots of examples and goes over them, he gives out homework to do, but he doesn't check if you do it; it's more for practice. Absolutely understanding, willing to explain anything and help you. I completely recommend him.

I drive 30 minutes every Monday and Wednesday just to be in his class. Absolutely one of the most down-to-earth professors that Polk State has to offer.

I rarely used the book To pass his tests, STUDY the problems he works on the board. As long as you know those, you should be good! The one thing I didn't like about his class is that each question on the test is worth 5 points which doesn't leave much room for error. The final was pretty basic and he will work with you to sort out your grade.

He shows you how to do the problem a couple times, then gives the class practice problems, walks around and helps, then solves the problem on the board. There are 4 tests & one final exam. Ive taken Mr. Aleman for Intermediate and College algebra and hes probably my favorite professor ive never had. the grading is clear: 5 tests, he drops one and then a final. The class is really easy as long as you show up for every class. Missing a class could leave you confused as he usually went over something new every class. He only gave suggested problems to do from the book and doing them can rally help you understand better. He only gives 5 test and the final and you do get a drop test. Easy to get help from.

IDK WHERE TO START WITH THIS PROFESSOR. HE IS AMAZING. PRIOR TO THIS CLASS I HATED MATH AND NOW I HAVE GROWN TO TOLERATE IT. I LITERALLY DON'T STUDY AND HAVE PASSED EVERY TEST WITH AN 85 OR HIGHER. Best math professor I've had in my life, and the only one I miss almost daily. I hate math with a passion, but I enjoyed his class every time I had it. No required homework, almost a letter grade of extra credit, and the best math lectures at Polk. To top it off, he is a genuinely kind human being who cares for his students and their well-being.

I love him. He was very kind and understanding. He made the class very simple. As long as you did all your work you are fine. We took 3 test and a final and he reviewed for all of them the class before. I wish he would teach every class.

This professor is AMAZING... Math has never been my thing, I had to take this class twice (the first time was with another professor). This class was still extremely difficult for me but he is so very helpful, he makes sure each and every student understands, very patient and is very knowledged in any degree questions too. REQUIRES ACCESS CODE. It's like an online course except he is there ready to help if you get stuck with questions. There are no lectures and quite different from his other classes, however he goes over the tests (4). He makes everything clear and willing to help you. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE, if you want an A.

THE BEST OF THE BEST! I drove hours to be taught by one of the greatest math professors who truly cares about his students.

His lectures are easy to follow. Your grade is based off test scores, but he drops two lowest tests and gives extra points at the end for turning in a final exam review. He also gives partial credit for work on tests. He is always available to meet you before and after class. Overall he is extremely caring and POSITIVE! He wants you to succeed.

Prof Aleman was a very helpful and caring professor. He does provide recorded lectures and a list of textbook questions he wants you to do. Please watch ALL the videos and please do ALL the homework assignments. This class is time consuming but I have no doubts that you will pass as long as you do the work. I HATE MATH!!! Professor Aleman was very helpful and had more confidence in me than I had in myself. He was always available via text, email, and even for personal zoom whenever needed. I took 1106 and 1107 at the same time with him and passed them both. Test are easy as long as you put in the time and effort to study. (Book helps for practice) -)

i loved mr aleman. hes super considerate and caring. had to pay for expensive textbook for only the access code. there is a lot of assignments, but they are easy yet time consuming. if you do well on all assignments and bomb the test, you will get an A. He isnt on top of you to finish all hw until the end of term. so dont want till the last min

Take it from someone who has always struggled with math, this class is easy. His lecture videos are extremely helpful. He doesn't make you learn out of a book in this course You are prepared for everything you need to know on the exams.

Mr. Aleman was awesome, I took MGF1107 with him online. He does not assign homework, he grades on tests only! He provides plenty of videos to walk you through the lessons as well as making himself easily available for questions and was happy to help! I would certainly take courses with him again.

There was only five tests and no homework. I felt like I learned a lot through him, and his teaching style was very clear and effective for me.

Super easy class if you pay attention and take detailed notes. Doesn't give you homework and barely use the textbook. Textbook mainly used for practice. Best math prof. only 5 tests and a bonus, really focuses on prepping you for the final test. Most of our class had trouble with test 3, so he let us all take the tests home and make adjustments for extra points. Super patient with the people in the class who needed it, and always made sure to answer questions. Let people stay after if needed. 10/10

He just give you practice questions that will be on the exams. He gives no homework so you have to do well on the exams. He gives an extra credit assignment at the end of the semester to bring up your grade and removes your lowest test score. If everyone does bad on a test he will allow everyone to fix their wrong answers to get 10 extra points.
