I really loved his lectures. They were entertaining and really informative! As long you read and go to class-the test are pretty easy.

He's a good prof. He's not hard just study the only exam you take in class is the final(the exams are taken online but they timed) . His lectures are the best, he's hilarious and you learn a lot!

His grading criteria is clear he accepts no late work, it isnt a work lid of work its all reasonable. As long as you do the readings and attend class you should pass like nothing especially because he gives a lot of extra credit. So even though he doesnt accept late work he still gives extra a lot of extra credit so make sure you do It it helps!

GREAT professor, HARD subject! I honestly enjoyed his class from start to finish! Hes super sweet and funny and makes the class interesting! Professor Garcia is passionate and infomartive about what he teaches. If you're planning to take his class make sure you attend class, take notes, and do all the reading that is required(it'll be very beneficial).

Notes are not mandatory as he uploads them all onto canvas, he does take attendance every class. He offers about 6 extra credit chances and since the exams are not weighted this is very helpful to the overall grade point. As long as you pay attention during his lectures and read the assigned material you'll do well.

Hes funny! Definitely an easy class. It helps a lot if you have knowledge of US government already. The textbook is a PDF online but his tests are more lecture heavy. The lectures are posted online too so if you miss a day, you can catch up easy. Lots of xtra credit is given by answering questions in class or doing the assignments.

The only issue was his exams he gives you 60 questions and 60 min to complete it, their online so you can't go back to any questions. He gives a lot of extra credit do all of it and you'll pass. He also gives no study guides so use the power points.

I started this class not feeling very confident about it. It was an Accelerated late spring class and we had to go over important chapters in a very fast pace in order to cover everything. He is very attentive and has a LOT of knowledge, he brings into discussion very important topics in order to make us Critically think about it. Very nice prof.

He was a good professor. He held optional zooms (community hours) every Tuesday and Thursday which are somewhat optional since he wants his students to have some type of interaction with him once a week, you can attend his community hours or email him once a week to fulfill that requirement. This class overall wasn't hard, but you have to be on top of due dates and work for the grade you want. Guy is very up-to-date on modern political events, meaning he's knowledgeable. Takes his job seriously, but it doesn't mean that he won't joke around and shiz. Garcia is a fun and hilarious dude. I was hesitant to take this class bc I am not the smartest in the field of polsci, but Professor Garcia's class was hands down the best! I took his class as an ASYNC class. His exams were based on the lectures so as long as you complete them, then you will pass the class. Also gives a bunch of extra credit so it def helped me boost my grade!

Prof. Garcia is passionate about his subject and he wants anyone who takes his class to walk away feeling the same. He has great lectures with content-rich, detailed slides. He throws the F-bomb here and there during the lectures to spice them up a bit which I appreciated. Lots of EC. Also lots of writing assignments (for an 8 wk course).

You will not regret taking him, fairly easy class. Only has 2 papers and his whole class consists of discussions and summaries. I say take him plus he offers so much extra credit!

This is one of the best professors I have encounter in a long time. Lectures are down to the point and everything reviewed is on the test. I took his class for the winter semester and he was a really great and interactive professor. There were a lot of online discussions, some summaries, and two essays but for a winter class it wasn't too overbearing. Some reading assigned is long & dense but trust me: read them, even if you skim it professor will break it down for you in lecture so that you understand it better the second time. If you are a polisci major, this class will prep you for the 4-year college reading load and analysis.

Professor Garcia is amazing. It's impossible not to get an A if you do all your work. The amount of extra credit he offers is ridiculously generous. (attend meetings, ask questions during community hours, and papers on documentaries). He uses humor to apply it to his teachings which makes the info stick in your head lol (at least in my case) A gem!

This professor is known for his lectures in Political Science following up with his amusing words. He is a very generous man who gives you enough time to finish assignments as he creates a due date for the assignments to be submitted. If you want to take a class that helps you learn about Politics and laugh at the same time, this class is for you.

A very good professor, although a little cynical and arrogant, he is well spoken and knowledgeable. Just do your work and you will pass. All the lectures are easy to understand and course content is not difficult. I would definitely take another one of his classes.

Professor Rogelio is a great teacher but he can be rude on email. So if you have any questions, especially about the syllabus ask in person. Other than that he is great and understanding. There were 4 tests (60 questions) total all online and we have two days to decide when to do it. 2 essays (1100 words) and around 8 discussion topics (300 words)

This was my 3rd time taking Pol Sci101.I was so scared taking this class because this was my last chance taking it. Since he is so energetic it makes his lectures even better without you getting bored. Attendance is mandatory just because he does mention some thing's that are not on the lectures. He does give plenty of extra credit.100% recommend.

Winter session: 4 summaries, 2 essays, 8 discussions, 4 exams, 5 extra credit opportunities, text book is hardly used. Take his in person class if u can, work is super manageable, he's very sarcastic but in a funny way all assignments are easy but pay attention exams are a bit tough. Not my fav subject, but his teaching style makes it enjoyable!!

I took polsci001 during the winter session and he was a great professor his lectures were interesting and would use humour the class is not difficult as long as you pay attention and do your work

Pretty good professor overall, comes off as a little arrogant sometimes but once you bypass his sense of humor alright guy. Pretty easy to follow along through lectures important to take good notes and study for exams. Also gives extra credit points frequently.

There is no denying that Professor Garcia is a great political science teacher, and the man does care about his students and he does arrange extracurricular activities to help college students to be politically involved in their own state government. He teaches you the most important things about the U.S Constitution and your American rights.

I liked that he was very straight forward with his work, and it is not hard to follow. His directions were always clear and reflecting in the rubrics. He's overall a great professor for political science. Although there is a lot of writing, if you are a poli sci major this shouldn't be that hard to do.

I took Professor Garcia in Fall 2024, I had lots of fun in this class. He has humor and it makes the class enjoyable. Make sure to do the extra credit because it really boosts your grade up. Only thing that bothered me at times, he raises his voice loudly in his lectures but that's just him, I would jump cause it would catch me off guard LOL.

Fall in person class, no textbook required he posts ALL material needed on canvas, gives lots of time to do work, online exams and only like 2 essays are assigned, disscussion posts and questions posted regularly all incredibly simple. Offers extra credit through out the semester. Funny dude you can tell he's super passionate about politics.

Professor is great at making the lectures interesting and engaging, a 2-and-a-half-hour course never felt long, and was surprised when the time to leave came. Great grader, gives precise and lengthy reviews for your work with good feedback. He is on the side of joking with students but all is coming from his playful attitude with no ill intent.

Even tough he a really tough grader, he does not accept late work at all!!!, he is a really good professor. I wish he had more visuals to understand the complexity of the material, but so far reading and time management is what you need. do not be late with work, other wise its hard to catch up. I really enjoyed his class, and was entertaining.

This professor is great for teaching you what you need to know. Ask questions! Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something. He seems like a hard ass, but he is passionate about his work with the students. If you can prove him wrong teach him,be respectful. i LOVED THIS CLASS His lesson plan is easy to follow, and the lectures and topics are absolutely interesting. The work is manageable, one negative is the quizzes as they cover three chapters at once rather than 1 quiz per chapter, so you'll need to study and read a lot! He's a great teacher, definitely had his quirks but overall great. Had to retake his class but even the second time around he was excellent. His work is super easy and his tests are as well as long as you study. The only thing is DO NOT TURN THINGS IN LATE.

Honestly loved this class! He's an awesome professor and loves to engage the class within his lectures which made me more more interested and motivated to learn more.
