In professor's Ro's class you have to want to learn. He expects students to be grown-ups and figure a lot out by themselves, and he won't hold your hand the whole way through, but if you like being an independent student you will love his class. It's easy!

I'm in my 3rd year and have taken Prof Garcia in 3 classes; I like him a lot, but I noticed that a lot of the immature freshman didn't like him as much. He expects a lot and treats everyone like adults, so if you still have that high school mentality, you might not do well in his class. Go to class, do the work, and you will get an A.

Rogelio expects you to ask questions if you don't understand something. If you ask questions and get involved in the class you will do fine. Cool dude. I had a friend in the class who never showed up and expected to pass - she gave him the bad reviews at the bottom, don't believe them. Ask questions, show that you care you will get a high grade.

Rogelio is a real college professor. Unlike my other classes at Metro that are basically high school classes, Rogelio expects hard work and attendance. The only students that have problems in his class are the ones that don't show up or the ones who like to play on their computers. Show up & pay attention, you will get an A.

People who are giving professor Garcia are just bad students. Seriously, if you show up until the end of the semester, you will pass. But if you don't show up and expect to pass, you're dumb

Low-key one of the best professors at MSU. Come to class and do the work, and pass. He's fair and funny. I had a great time.

You have to ask for feedback. If you do you will always get great ideas on how to make your papers better.

Professor Ro helped me out when I couldn't come to class due to a family emergency. He was kind and always answered my emails. He's smart and he expects a lot. But if you're a good student you will not have a problem.

If you fall asleep in class and don't do any of the work, you will hate Garcia's class. If you do the work, you will get an A.

I'm sitting here laughing at some of these reviews. I fell asleep in class and Rogelo woke me and he was upset, but you know what? I deserved it, lol. After that we talked and he was cool and understood. i came back and got an A. Rogelo was really understanding about my situation.

Good teacher, easy class.

Dr. Garcia is one of my favorite professors. He's sometimes a bit disorganized but I learned a lot. He's funny and really helpful. Just don't fall behind.

Dr. Rogelio probably gets a bad rep because he teaches general ed courses. These are the courses everyone has to take. No one likes these classes at all. But Dr. Rogelio is cool and always there to help me along. You have to ask him for help if you need help.

Easy fun course. Come to class, get an A. If you don't show up, you fail.

Best professor at Metro. Everyone who came to class got an A. Only people who failed were teh ones who never showed up. Ask him about Dungeons and Dragons!

Professor Ro teaches general education classes and those can be boring. But he tries hard to make it fun and interesting. I asked to meet with him at least once a week to help with my learning disability and he always gave me as much time as I asked. He is kind and caring.

So his class is hard but the teacher is cool. Just come to class and you will do fine.

This professor is really cool. If you don't come to class, or if you don't want to do any work, this is not the class o pick. Also meeting with him is easy, I met with him at least 5 times, and he really helped me out a great deal.

You can always tell which students make an effort in the reviews. Pretty much every bad review here is a student who never did any work and got an F. There were like 5 of these kids in my class with this professor. You have to try really hard to not pass this class with this professor. But make some effort and you will pass with a high grade.

Ha! I can't believe anyone would get anything other than an A in Proffesor's Roe's class. Seriously you gotta try really hard to fail.

If you show up and do your work, you will get an A. If you fail Dr. Garcia's class you probably shouldn't be in college. Its amazing to me that people at this school fail classes as easy as Dr. Garcia's class.

Good class! Like others have said Dr. Garcia's class is easy if you come to class. If you don't show up, you're asking for a bad grade.

I tried this teacher's class last semester by just doing the canvas assignments and never showing up, like I tried to make it an online class and I failed. Then this semester I took him again and like came to class everyday and got an A. So the lesson is show up to class and do the work and get an A. You have to show up.

Rogelio is really funny and is somewhat of a tough grader but with reason. His classes are fun and he's a great teacher. I HIGHLY recommend taking classes with him, he's really down-to-earth guy as well.

I was in the class some other students have mentioned below. Professor Garcia never said he didn't want to be there. He simply said he had training in Victorian Literature and writing was a secondary field to pay bills. There's nothing wrong with that. I loved his honesty.b He made sure I understood the material and met with me outside of class.

Easy general education class. People that complain about Professor Ro are just bad at college. Seriously.

Professor Ro provides tons of information online for students. He uses the university web site a lot. So you have to know how to use canvas. He only cancelled our class once when he was in a car accident. Professor Ro is easy going and fun ny. That makes some students no t like him, but he really cares about his students.

Prof Ro's class is pretty fun. The only people that leave bad reviews are the ones that never showed and failed. Here's the recipe for getting a good grade in this class.... 1. Go to class 2. Do your work 3. Easy A. Seriously. It's not hard. lol @ the bad reviews.

Great professor. His humor may not be for everyone but I thought he was funny. Learned a lot.

What a cool teacher. I got to write about a research project about MMA fighters. It was so fun. If you can't do basic high school research you will fail this class. The rest of us will pass it easy.

I don't like to read or write. But I liked this teachers class. He was kind and you could tell he cared about the students.

I took this course in the spring of 2023. Most of the reading is up to you since it is a research class. Most people ended up with papers as long as 20 pages without everything else. Other teachers cap you at 12! He does not give feedback at the end, just your grade. He is pretty laid back but the writing was intense. Choose an interesting topic.

So much reseaching! BUt Dr. Garcia lets you choose your own topic. If you choose a good topic the class will be easy.

Come to class every day and you will pass with a really good grade. Ask Professor Roe for help and he will help you. At a place like MSU, you have to ask tho, because professors are sometimes too busy to notice you. But if you as Professor Roe, he will help you and give you all the feedbac you need.

Great teacher.

This guy is a fantastic professor, significant portions of the class will be spent talking about D&D, but you will learn so much, and the Rog is amazing with feedback and letting in class discussions lead a majority of the learning, great guy, would 10/10 recommend his sections, definitely a challenge though, don't expect to cruise, you'll work.

This class is pretty easy if you come to class. IF you don't come to class you won't do so good.

Prof. Garcia is probably the best professor I have ever had. His class is highly entertaining as well as educating, I would most definitely take it again. If you show up and show some effort, he will put effort into making sure you doing good. You will WORK in this class but because of Prof. Garcia's quality, it is not as heavy as it could be.

I was late to class one day and forgot my lunch. Professor Roe gave me some cash to buy some lunch. Seriously? That's a nice person, right there especially since I was going to be on campus for like 8 hours without food. He's also a great teacher by the way. But nice enough to help a brother out.

I worked hard and got a good grade

There were a couple girls in my class that talked rudely and tried to show up Professor Ro all the time. He was always calm and treated them nice even when they were rude. They're probably responsible for the bad ratings here. Go to class and do your work and professors ro class will be great.

Lol the last review. I'm glad professor Garcia challenged me. I cringe at people who complain about working hard in college. I mean it's college what else do you want?I wish more professors would treat our college like Harvard Law. Prof Garcia is great.

Ro has been the only teacher at Metro who treated me like an adult. He expected us to work hard, but gave us lots of feedback and tried hard to motivate the students. Some students cant be motivated and you could tell that was hard on him. keep up the work RO! we appreciate you!

I had trouble understanding some of the work and ro met with me and made sure I understood the work.

If you come to class you will do great. If you ask questions in class you will do great. If you do the assignments you will do great. If you don't do any of those things you will not do great. Its really pretty easy.

I learned a lot and I got along pretty good with Professor Rogelio. Lots of good things to learn and read.

Dr. Rogelio took over for my professor in the middle of the semester when our regular professor left. Best thing ever. I was gonna fail with the other professor but Dr. Rogelio and me came up with a plan and I was able to pass. Thankful he became my professor.

Professor Garcia really wanted us to succeed. He offered assistance outside of class and he was very amicable. I had some personal issues during the semester and when I talked with him about it, he talked me out of dropping the class and inspired me to finish my paper.

Kinda a hard class. You can't really be absent a lot because he covers a lot and won't really help you if you miss a class and don't understand a thing. But just dont be absent and you can do fine.

Pick your topic good. Wihtout a good topic the class is hard. He gives you loits iof chances to pick a good one. Take it.

Professor Ro is a tough but helpful teacher. The work is challenging, but attending class and using the free textbook along with Unstuckstudy really helped me succeed. Definitely worth taking if you're willing to put in the effort.

The 5000 word essay is part of the class! Read the description. lol. Great professor. His wife died in the middle of the semester of semester so he had to take a step back. Understandable.

The course was very strange the semester I took it, but the professor is a good guy. He's kind, and approachable. He wasn't a tough grader. He wants you to do a lot for your essay, but that is what English 1020 is, I think all professors teaching the course make you do a huge essay. He went through tragedy mid semester, and he deserves respect.
