Professor Abshire is very passionate about what he teaches and at times gets frustrated when students do not. I think his class must have been forced to use the McGraw-Hill Connect LMS, as the lectures were completely different from the material on our quizzes/tests/readings. Easy class, but he's a pretty boring lecturer.
Everything he talked about in class would only cover a few things on the test. Youre basically on your own for learning what you need to know for tests.
Lectures are very boring, luckily all his tests and quizzes were open notes (fall 2020) so it was very easy to get an A in the class, also attendance was not mandatory. Ultimately not a great professor, however the class was easy.
Boring, stopped attending class since it was useless, he just goes over the textbook that is on McGraw Hill. A bunch of assignments, 1 quiz, and 1 test would be due in the same day after he would finish a section (basically once a month stuff was due). You can see all of the assignments unlocked for the semester since day one. But easy to pass
By far the easiest class that I have taken at Texas State. I stopped watching after the first or second lecture and still almost made a 100 overall. If you just complete the assignments then it should be an easy A.
Okay, the man can be a uninteresting to hear form during lectures, but he makes an effort from them to be both engaging and interactive. He is not really interested in teaching the course material more so dwelling into practical applications which I think are more useful and exciting. Grades fine. He even goes over any questions before exams.
This class was super easy. Dr. Abshire is super chill, and it was very easy to get an A. Hes very knowledgeable!
If you read the required text, you'll definitely pass; however, this class requires reading almost two complete textbooks. Dr. Abshire's lectures don't add much to the class and I skipped a ton and got a good grade. Plus he's not a very interesting lecturer even though he's knowledgeable on the subject.
Dr. Abshire was a decent professor. You need access to the textbook as that's where the graded readings and the tests are accessed. I found lectures to be monotonous, and not necessary to attend as the book material was on the test. The class was easy but you must do the readings and tests to pass. PS: Quizlet is your best friend.
I didnt have to go to any of the classes this semester and I did my work at my own pace. The was divided into 4 topics with homeworks, a quiz, and an exam. Youve got about a month to complete each topic at your own pace. The final is optional and replaces the lowest exam but its 100 questions. Dont be like me and forget to do your work. Easy A.
Abshire is a decent professor. Attendance was not mandatory my semester, but i know this one it is. His lectures are pretty long and boring. All of your assignments, quizzes, and tests are through Connect. They are grouped together by units all due at once, so you pretty much have free reign whenever you want to do them. Pretty easy course imo.
I would not take this professor again. Hes very inconsiderate regarding attendance and is very impatient. He refused to accept doctors notes and would blame us instead of his TA for not getting attendance in on time. However, if you miss 7 classes then you fail the class. Dont recommend at all
Very lecture-heavy, he basically teaches nothing. Not a hard class but I do not recommend it, you will come out knowing nothing new about history or political science. recommend you take anyone else if available.
Awful. Awful. Awful. He only uses exams to determine grades. He doesnt share any of the power-points from class to blackboard. Horrible make-up exam policy. I can honestly say that Abshire is the worst professor Ive had.
his lectures dont correlate with what we have on exams so basically hes teaching about nothing. was not lenient on absences and he didnt even take doctors note. also if ur in his class he basically forces you to participate and talk or he gets irritated, even tho its a core class and no one cares. impossible to fail unless u just dont show up
This class is so easy because all grades are from an online textbook program so if you dont know something and cant find it in the book google will have the EXACT answer. I made a 87, 90 on my final but his attendance policy gave me a 0.48. Hes well aware that his lectures are pointless and gets a powertrip off failing u for not coming to em
He isn't a terrible professor, but not sympathetic towards any situation. I live in Austin and figured I could just attend class online since my bus home doesn't run past 5pm, but he refused to give me the option. His lectures do not correlate with the exams either despite his lectures being mandatory. Would not recommend.
I took this class this semester and it was a hybrid course. I had a 98 in this class and he failed me because of my attendance. I messaged him and let him know I was having some problems that made my face to face attendance plunder and he did not care. He does not care if you have one of the highest grades, or for grades at all in that matter.
Missed some work due to an emergency and felt that Prof Abshire was not as forgiving as I wouldve hoped and felt that other professors were given my situation. Full respect for him and his criteria, but really took a hard hit in my GPA from a B in an easier class that shouldve boosted my GPA
Attendance is mandatory for Abshire. This is a pretty easy quizet class. As long as you show up and do all the assignments on mcgraw hill then you'll pass. Lectures are lengthy and somewhat monotonous, but you can engage and listen in on some good debate if people are willing to speak up. You dont need to take notes, everything you need is in book
If youre looking for a super easy class, this is the class to take. The lectures are very long and not always interesting but if youre just trying to get through this class take Prof Abshire. I took him for both Posi 2310 & 2320 and made easy As.
More than half of the class failed and he offers little explanation on what is going to be on the test. You learn more from the McGraw Hill textbook and the only reason why I got an A was because I barely showed up and had to do my own research.
i hated this class
He literally said "Something is not connecting in your brains" to the whole class after the second exam. Our class average was 50 on the first exam, and while taking that exam over half of the class didn't have the right test so they only 30 mins to take it. He has no respect for his students, and is very belittling towards them. #toxic #gethelp
Tests worth 80% of grade, doesnt provide reviews before an exam. When asked what chapter to study for exam he replied with what weve been going over. Did not allow student with Covid to make up exam. Would not recommend anyone to take class with him.
More that half of the class is failing. Gives no review nor explains what to expect on tests, so we never know what to study for. Doesn't give tests for Students who are quarantined, but he sure can do online lectures when he's unable to attend class. worst class I've taken, definitely would not recommend.
If you did not take an AP history class in high school or have good background in history, I suggest looking for another class. 80% of our grade was based on 4 exams (not good for horrible test takers) and lastly his lectures do not help at all and the resources we were given (McGraw+recharges) were useless on the exams and he's well aware of that.
Dr. Abshire's class is a highlight of my week. His lectures are really easy to understand. There are 4 tests, each worth 20% of the final grade. The final replaces the lowest. Hw assignments are 10% and online quizzes are 10%.. The class average is usually pretty low on tests (60%ish) but the tests are not that bad. Show up to class to pass.
If you just want to read a book (online book) and skip class ( except for exam day) this is the professor to take. Lectures are rushed and he doesnt post slides so your best bet is to just take notes from the book.
Worst professor ever. HW is McGraw Hill Connect based on textbook which has nothing to do w/his lectures & exams. He doesnt care if you miss class or exams no matter whats going on in your life. Literally says Idc if your grannie dies, you get hit by a bus, or have Covid, no makeups. Talks fast during lectures. Doesnt answer emails. DO NOT TAKE
I am not well versed in Texas nor federal government and I have to say this class was kind of hard for me to understand and boring.
he was completely condescending and gave little to no help with content learning everything is through mcgraw hill and not a good way to learn he is short tempered and very stubborn avoid this class!
Do not recommend taking this course with him. Any time you ask a question in class, he answers it with a smart remark, making you feel dumb for even asking. Hes rude and doesnt try to help his students succeed in his class. LONG HW assignments & lectures that have nothing to do with the tests, so have to read the book on your own to pass test.
He goes very fast in lectures and doesn't give you any time to type notes. He also doesn't post his slides. Tests are of mix of the textbook and his lectures but since it's so hard to the notes in lectures you'll have a hard time on some of the tests. He doesn't care if you are sick or have a family emergency. The tests can have weird questions too
I was so excited for this class but he ruined it for me. Never bothered to teach us what we needed to learn. The homework didn't correlate nor did it help our tests. He doesn't care about his students and isn't fair at all. I would not recommend him to anyone for this class. Class would've been more fun and interesting if I had another professor.
Abshire refused to post lecture slides, refused to make study guides (one test was over 8 chapters), and allowed no makeup exams or extra credit opportunities. Hw did not correlate with the tests, and he knew this. He was often condescending and did not seem to care about students. Challenging to succeed in. I do not suggest taking this course.
He was a terrible professor. I failed what shouldve been an easy class. Never posted the lectures. Tests were in person with no correlations to the homework. Didnt care about students.
Do NOT ask for extra credit or he will laugh in your face, literally. Very very strict professor on how he runs the class, does not tolerate people talking over him or classmates at all. Overall, he is really knowledgable about his subject and if you can see past his personality and make yourself attend the lectures, you'll definitely learn.
Abshire is an extremely condescending, smart a** professor. I never even tried to ask a question in his class again after seeing him throw smart remarks back at just about every student asking a genuine question. Was very excited for this class but left disappointed as I got a D. Tests and homework don't correlate at ALL. Definitely do not take him
Whole class is based on your exam grades. doesnt upload any sort of review or even lectures/ slides to look over. doesnt respect you as a student. just no dont take.
He didnt seem enthusiastic about what he teaches and the whole class kept making poor grades on exams and he didnt find a way for the class to do better. As for notes, he didnt post power points, he said they were only for his benefit. Almost like he wanted the class to fail.
I think that this guy should not have a job as a professor. He is the worse professor I have ever had. Doesn't care about students at all and just likes to make his students feel stupid with his knowledge of the subject. Makes the test extremely hard, and lots of homework that does not correlate to the tests whatsoever. He needs to be fired.
The entire class was based around a single essay. Every assignment was to help us formulate the paper and the essay was worth 25% of the grade. If your good at doing research and writing, then this class is a breeze. Attendance is not required and honestly a little pointless. The lectures had nothing to do with any assignments but they were fun.
There is genuinely not a single word I can use to describe how much I disliked his class. All of the lectures given in class were virtually useless when it came to the exams and he was completely unhelpful when it came to answering questions. He treated his students like their not doing well was completely their fault and none of his own. AVOID!!!
Do not take his class you will regret it forever.
Would not take this class again, or recommend anybody to take this class. His lectures cover maybe 3 questions tops on the test, and it seems like you didn't even learn anything while taking the test. Prior to taking the class in order to do decent you must have a great understanding of govt already.
Professor Abshire was the worst professor I have ever had. He is very rude and will not hesitate to humiliate you in front of the class for asking questions. He assigns an unreasonable amount of homework and his test do not coincide with the lectures.
Very rude professor. If students sneezed he would bite their heads off. I’m glad I didn’t ask any questions because I would’ve started a riot with the way he replies to students so rudely. Tests were very different from homework. Many students confronted him about this and he claimed he took material from the homework but he didn’t.
Almost every person failed the tests he gave out and he blamed the students. I reached out to him and asked to drop the class because I felt I would fail and he told me that he would change my overall grade to the average of the next 3 test grades. After the final I asked him to change it and he said he never said that and would never do that.
Assigned peer reviews with mandatory attendance, he is not flexible at all. He won't email, or respond to emails. He doesn't communicate well, and might not be available even during office hours. Generally just doesn't care about the students. The actual curriculum was decent, he wasn't clear on grading criteria either.
i think he's alright. he isn't rude when answering questions, and he posts reviews on McGraw-Hill before tests, most of the questions on the test will be the same ones on the review. i enjoy his lectures. he must have changed his teaching methods since last semester cause i don't have a problem w/him. i have adhd and i find his class pretty easy.
I took this course as a first year freshman after taking AP Government my senior year of HS (finished with a 93). I feel like if history/social studies/politics/government does not interest you, I would not recommend Professor Abshire. Though it is not required, I would definitely recommend going to his lectures AND doing notes in the textbook.
very bad professor. doesn't care about the students and straight up told us that on the first day. Doesn't curve, no extra credit, closed note in person tests, material on tests isn't made clear. In order to do well you basically just have to memorize the chapters the test covers and sometimes theres up to 6. The lectures themselves aren't bad.
Professor Abshire is very hands-off. His lectures are alright but they have nothing to do with the test, so you rely heavily on reading the textbook completely and the McGraw assignments he assigns. Offers no extra credit "what you get is what you earn". All tests are in person.
The most hands off professor I have ever seen. Another course of Mcgraw Hill and unnecessary information, essentially a lot of it is a history class. Lectures are basically useless because the class is self-taught. Lectures are "supplementary" help you understand the material better but most of the time aren't on the tests.
This class has been the worst part of my semester , the teacher is extremely arrogant and will go out of his way to make you feel stupid for asking simple questions, he offers no extra credit or grace whatsoever, test are worth 80% of your grade and are 40 questions with no review
The lectures that he gave were summaries on the chapters being learned, and were beneficial to passing exams. However, he would usually move between slides too quickly, refuse to go back to previous slides, and never post the notes slides he lectured from on canvas. In addition, he never gives a curve on exams and will never offer extra credit.
This class was HARD. I managed to pull off an A, but I studied 10+ hours weekly. If you are wanting an easy workload, do not recommend. But if you are disciplined enough, this class could do you a lot of good.
This class consisted of lectures. I will say that some of the grades that he gave me didn't feel justified b/c there was no rubric nor proper feedback. I tried to communicate on concerns in a timely manner yet he never responded. I will say that he is passionate about his profession.
Dr. Abshire is by far one of the best professors at Texas State. He genuinely cares about his students and is always willing and eager to help. His grading is pretty easy, but the peer reviews are very important so make sure you try! As long as you go to class and read the material before you'll do fine.
I took this class online and I had no problems with the format of the class. I had this professor in a previous semester, so I was already familiar with him. I will say, if you are able to, take his online courses, so much easier than his in-person.
His lectures are boring and political stance is VERY apparent even though he tries to stay objective. Class is a lot of discussions and he doesn't post his slides on his canvas because he thinks it's dumb to do so. If you don't do the readings you won't do well at all, but he gets a lot of his tests questions from his reviews.
good professor, hard grader, doesn't accept late work or excuses, class is really hard
lectures are kind of boring, he doesn't post his slides on canvas. learned more on the assignments than on the lectures. he's cool though and he tries
He doesnt post slides discussed in class, and doesn't give test reviews. The only work we have is smart book assignments that don't really match what's discussed in class. There is no way to prepare for the test other than reading the notes from class. Tests are all on Friday!!!!!!
Mainly uses McGraw-Hill for all his assignments, attendance is not taken, lectures are long and boring, he will crack a funny jokes here and there. Does not post his slides so being there for his lectures is important to get the material for the test. Overall a pretty straight forward, easy history class.
If you can avoid this class please do so ,horrible prof, probably the worst. Says attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss more then 2 classes you get dropped.Laughed and humiliates you when you get the participation question wrong.More than half of my classmates failed his class because he is tough on grading but wont tell you what you did wrong
Avoid his at all costs, horrible prof in every way. Doesn't care about students at all, prof like his shouldn't be allowed to teach. The participation makes you not wanna got to class but he will drop you from the class if you don't go even tho he says not mandatory. I've never met a person a txst that likes him or even passed his class.
Do NOT take this professor, it was the absolute worst class I have ever taken. His lectures have absolutely nothing to do with the exams, he doesn't do reviews for the exams, doesn't give extra credit, and exams are weighed so heavily in class. You must rely completely on the textbook to learn anything and he doesn't care about his students at all
i would NOT recommend taking this professor, he is very test heavy and doesn't give any test reviews. the assignments, lectures, and exams do not match up so its difficult to study the material for exams. over the course of the semester the class average for exams did not exceed over 65%. he's also rude and hard to get in contact with via email.
Don't recommend. Went to every lecture since he's supposed to recount the readings, but he tended to get sidetracked or skip through stuff. Doesn't upload slides, study guides, or other materials. Best way to take this class: skip the lectures, read the book, take the tests. Tests are weighted 70%, 40 quest., multiple choice. I fought to keep a C.
I went to every lecture and found that the lectures are not useful for exams. I just read over the textbook before exams, so honestly it isn't even worth showing up. As long as you read the textbook, you'll be fine but there's no review for exams
I would not recommend his class. His lectures are irrelevant and most info comes from the textbook, but only little random segments from large chunks of the text book show up on the test making it hard to study. Got As in every class but this one, first class I ever had to withdraw from. Entered test two grade two days before withdraw deadline!!!!
a very average professor. the overall rating for him is very low to which i understand. the lectures are very dull and participation is low mostly due to his superiority complex, but on a course level it was very general. if I were rating him as a person this would be lower, but I passed with little to no hard work so I can give him that much
No extra credit whatsoever, no test guides, and nothing he lectured over was ever on tests or relevant. You basically teach yourself the material and then he asks really random questions. In-person tests of Fridays (M/W/F). Asked him for any advice if I was trying to get an A, he had absolutely none and was generally extremely unhelpful. Snoozefest
He is very boring and the lectures have nothing to do with the exams. He asks super random and specific questions so you never know what to expect. No exam reviews and no extra credit options.
This professor had regular lectures and recommended attending class. The exams were a hard at least for me because he did not do reviews and that is not how i learn. I prefer to have a review to give me an idea of what to expect on the exam. I had to take the final exam it was 76 questions and it was hard. He provided a review which helped me pass.
Okay professor, lectures are nothing about the book/homework. Lots of rambling/ranting. No final curve, says in the syllabus "No extra credit, Do not ask." Going to class is a waste of time. If you teach yourself you'll be fine.
Always had an attitude
worst man ever
Be careful w/ this professor. Lectures don't cover what is on exam. No notes / reviews posted online. Exams majority of grade (70%). Kinda have to rely on textbook and learn content yourself. If he doesn't require attendance I would not waste time going to lectures
This professor literally assigned a super difficult test on Halloweens eve. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. HE ALSO DOES NOT GIVE ANY EXTRA CREDIT, NEVER CURVES THE TESTS, AND IS ALSO KINDA RUDE??
he is a bad teacher. whatever he lectures is not on the test. read the book, skip the lecture is the way to go. do not pay attention to his lectures because they will not help you. also, his tests are always on friday and they are in person. the tests are difficult, but as long as you read the textbook, you will be ok.
Do not take this professor. Almost every exam has had an average of 70% or lower. No opportunity for extra credit, curved grades, etc. Very lecture heavy, none of which is actually on the exams. He posts his reviews 2 days before the exams. All his assignments are from McGraw Hill, so be prepared to read and suffer.
This professor does not care for you or your grades at all. He assigns 4 exams and one final exam, if you do bad on the exams you will be fighting an uphill battle the entire semester. He does most of his assignments on McGraw-Hill. I don't recommend taking this teacher unless you like the challenge of trying to pass the class. 2/10
I wouldn't wish Dr. Abshire upon my worst enemy. He is insulting and makes snarky remarks. Lectures are worthless, and no extra credit or curves on exams, though the class average is below 70. When asked to post the lecture slides, he said, "The slides are for me, not for y'all." Better off teaching yourself the info. Sorry if you get stuck w/ him.
He has an extreme superiority complex-- so avoid answering questions out loud, because even if you are right, he will most likely snarkily laugh and challenge your ideas. He has NO sense of humanity. He sees his students solely as listeners and not as actual human beings. He has yelled at/cussed at students. Lectures have nothing to do with tests.
This professor is very snarky and uptight. While lectures aren't mandatory and I don't recommend you skip them entirely, you'll find yourself being much happier while skipping these lectures from the amount of cussing and degrading he does at times. Take this class as a last resort ONLY.
Hate this guy so much. He complicates exams through confusing wording that completely changes the questions. Cusses out and yells at students for the smallest infractions every single lecture. Rude, disagreeable, and has a superiority complex. If you can't find another professor, you're better off postponing this class until next year.
For the love of God DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!! His class will absolutely destroy you. Exams are worth 70%, his lectures are pointless. You have to teach yourself the content and read the textbook in order to pass. He's so unkind and horribly rude to his students, if you end up getting him, I'm so sorry in advance. Good luck.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is snarky and uses his teaching powers to his advantage. He cusses out his students and is only working for a paycheck and not for
L teacher don't take him
In this class you have to teach yourself because lectures are pointless and he's very rude and doesn't care for you or your grades. He cusses and gets on to students for no reason. DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR unless you want to fail this class. If you have no choice but to take him your better off waiting till next semester to get a better teacher.
If you prioritize your grades and GPA, avoid this professor. The exams are unnecessarily difficult, so only Political Science majors and pre-law students can do good. Attendance isn't mandatory which is nice cause his lectures are worthless. There's no exam review or extra credits. He changed our exam schedule and told us just the day before.
I would never in my life recommend this professor to anyone. If you're great at test taking, reading on your own time and a fast typer I would recommend this professor to you. But if you're not, either take this class online or find another professor. There are no curves, or extra credit just the 5 exams. Not even the homework's help.
PLEASE get this man fired! Please choose another teacher he is the Rudest teacher I've ever met he is not professional with his words towards students, he cusses out ppl and that's not a good role model for students, tuition tooo expensive to be dealing with a individual that doesn't care about his students and cusses them out.
Worthless lectures. 5 exams, the 4 highest grades are taken and are worth 17.5% of the grade each. The 60 homework assignments that take 30 minutes each are only worth 30% of your total grade. Yells at students that whisper to each other in class for interrupting. Not a single class average for the exams was higher than 60.
The tests are NOT what is covered in class, in textbook- in fact, we never figured out how to pass a test. The class average on most tests was a 50 and he does no curve. He has terrible ratings and there is a reason... He is boring, inflexible and rude. He does not offer extra credit or test re-takes. Not approachable DO NOT TAKE
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Even if you do the assignments and quizzes and have an A, your grade doesn't change at all because each exam takes 17.5% of your grade. There are 4 exams and a final, the lowest grade is dropped. He is not respectful with the students and cusses in the lecture if he's angry.
All in person tests: 4 unit tests, 1 cumulative final that can be taken to replace a unit test. All online assignments and quizzes: 4 quizzes, a bunch of easy assignments they just take a long time. Doesn't give test reviews, doesn't test over lecture topics, bad lecturer, passive aggressive and rude. Hated this class. DONT take him!
I have not had a bad experience with a professor at Texas State so far, this is by far the worst class I have had. On the first day, he essentially told us he didn't care if we showed up or not. There was so much reading, there was no review was the final exam and he demanded respect. Do not take this class.
DO NOT TAKE. I went to the lectures, took notes, did all textbook work, every assessment, READ THE ENTIRE TEXTBOOK, and still failed every. single. exam. I even started making AI podcasts of my notes to listen to on my way to school. Just awful. Not to mention most exams had a mean grade of 40-60. There's 200+ of us in one class. He is also rude.
First semester, this professor made me worry about how hard college would be.. No matter how much effort I put into this class I never saw a grade I wanted to see. I failed every single exam. I met with him once, a lot nicer than how he seems in lectures, but his class is unbelievably difficult. I don't know anyone who was happy with their grade.
Tried to take his class online (i am NOT a posi major so i just did it for the credit) and the first assignments weren't due for a while. he took away my enrollment after i hadn't done any yet (about 2 weeks before the assignments were due). Tried to email him and did 4-5 assignments but he still marked me as “never attended.” Was super rude too.
The annoying thing was that you NEVER get feedback on how you did on your quizzes or tests. You'll take the quiz, get no feedback on what you missed, and then are expected to know the answer for the test. got 100s on all assigments and got 80s or 90s on all quizzes and assignments, and barely have an 89.9.
If you have no other option but to take him, I recommend his online class. Weekly reading and discussion post on payback, which are honestly easy 100%. Total of three exams and quizzes, the final was optional.
Do not take. Probably is the rudest professor on the entire campus. Class isn't too rigorous, but his attitude is more than enough of a reason to take literally any other professor. I would even delay taking political science if this is your only option, so many better options on txst campus!
In order to do well in this class, you must read the McGraw Hill and understand it. TAKE NOTES. There were no assignments and on Tests. Of the 5 test, 1 dropped, that includes the final. There is no study guides and you must take notes of lecture to help with exams. We only got 1 guide, which was for the final exam. The guide was 220 questions.
Dr. Abshire is not the type of professor you should take if you want to just skirt by taking a 2310 class. Most of the people talking smack about his teaching are just ill prepared. I took his class with minimal studying, showed up every day and got a B. Professor Abshire was one of my best professors in Political Science at Texas State.
DO NOT TAKE!
Genuinely hardest class ever taken. He randomly changed it and now you must get 95%+ on every single exam while also getting 100% on every homework. No exceptions. Not to mention he FREAKS out when a student zips their bag up 2 minutes before class ends. Terrible and would NOT recommend.
Very tough class. Very boring lectures that don't relate to the exam at all. Talks in a way most students don't understand on purpose and doesn't explain things to his students in a way they would understand. Reviews for exams are 200+ questions and the final review was 800+ questions. Do not take him.
One of the hardest classes I've taken. The way the class is weighed is insane. Of the final grade, 4 Exams are 70%, Assignments are 15%, and Assessment Quizzes are 15%. Not to mention there is no study guides provided, no slides posted, and no extra credit. The average exam scores are 50-60%. Do yourself a huge favor and find another professor.
The hardest class I've ever taken! The reviews are hundreds of questions! Doesn't post notes or anything! Is a crybaby when hears one noise! Literally impossible to pass unless you're a POSI genius!
I think this professor is not bad. I took his class online, one of his exams I had technical issues and he was flexible to let me retake the exam! The class use a platform “pack back” which is where a lot of participation work comes from you answer questions and engage in discussions there but it detects AI :/ other than that his class wasn't hard!
This class was the absolute hardest class I have ever taken. I am an A+ student and have been my whole life. This class on the other hand, I failed. Most majors need a POSI class so I strongly suggest a different professor! He makes it known about 100 times that there will be no extra credit, no reviews, no notes posted. You're on your own in here!
failed to teach anything. rambles the whole class and curses a whole bunch
I had to write like Hamilton's dissent cousin in order to get a good grade on the midterm. His class is incredibly difficult and you have to be good at reading documents from the Constitution or you're cooked. He cusses a lot and can be really rude. Good luck if you don't have the same IQ as George Washington.
I make A's in all my classes, but this class was hard for no reason. His lectures do not help you at all with the tests. It has all to do with the professor at this point. He gets mad if you talk a minute over the class starting, and he has some anger issues.
Worst professor I've had in my life. Just don't take his class, it's difficult for no reason.
Don't take this professor's class. Better take other's one, this prof. doesn't even give you a guide for the exam. Be prepare for the worst during the exam, the question might be totally unexpected and from nowhere.
Kind of easy if you read the book/use chat GPT to make you practice exam questions. He can be mean/harsh if you talk over him during lecture. Basically had to teach myself the material because lectures were most of the times extra information I didn't need to know. Other than that, pretty chill
This is the worst professor I've ever had. His exams make no sense, he enjoys seeing students fail, and you'll learn nothing in this course. Also, don't expect him to follow any rules or guidelines set by the university, he does whatever he wants.
i did not look both ways before crossing the road in the way to his class because i wanted to get ran over. He only grades on test so even if you do the 100+ question homework's he doesn't count it. He does not really teach, he only reads over his powerpoint and expects you to learn everything by yourself and then TESTS you every friday!!
PLEASE READ: not a good prof, terrible at teaching, really rude too! BUT IT IS POSSIBLE TO PASS :) so he does these pretest before a big exam, your best bet is to study and memorize those questions because they are really simliar to the exam. QUIZET IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!!. yeah they are long but just study those questions by heart.
