Great teacher! Took him spring 2003. For once,I didn't hate math! He made the concepts clear and taught step by step, especially with the graphing calculator. I was impressed.

Great Professor. Teaching style is very easy to understand and he will make sure you know the material you need to know. He doesn't try to cram the entire book down your throat in 8 weeks. Highly recommended!!!!!!

covers only some of the material from the book-test are actually over what was covered in class does not cover all of the chapters in book. will make sure the majority of class ahs learned the concepts before moving on-would not be passing otherwise

Good teacher, there for you when you need help. Very little homework and tests are short and sweet. He also lets you out early most of the time too.

Breen is very fair. I made 50% on all his tests and finished the class with a C. How? Just studied for the final and your grade on the final will override the other test grades, if it's higher. Great Prof.

Breen's temperment is very laid back, and his grading is very fair; he has a sincere interest in the success of his students. I highly recommend this professor. Final grade will be the accumulated average of all tests (including final), OR the grade recieved on final (whichever is better).

This was a good class. I took Professor Breen for MAC1105, and was LOST! With this class he seemed to be more laid back, and understanding... STAT was easy.. and so was Professor Breen..

very helpful! explains well! he is interested in seeing his students succed! i hate math and am not good at it but professor breen makes it fun and easy. the only thing i dont like about him is we sometimes stay after class is suppose to be over. he does go fast sometimes too

This was a frustrating class. He's a great person with so much knowledge but I didn't feel like he could come down to our level. He was so fast with some things and showed us short cuts before we actually knew the material so it was confusing. He should stick to teaching the advanced classes. I just hope I pass...and I'm a A student.

Professor Breen made the subject matter easy to digest. I have not had math in 15 years, so I was very scared to take this class. He teaches you the calculator, held a special study session before our final and is very approachable. His scoring is "odd", but it benefits everyone. Be careful though...study EVERYTHING for the test!

An easy class... too easy. Mr. Breen is great but you never really learn much about statistics.

Prof. Breen is awesome. He moves fast but is very fair and clear he makes sure that you get it. If you love math he is the teacher to take. He love for math shows in his teaching. I give Prof. Breen an A+.

the best teacher! he really cares about his students and will make time for you no matter what. he is a very special person cause he cares for you even when your done with the class. you have tests in his class but there is nothing new on them, he will go over all the information you need to know. take him if you can, you wont regret it!!!!

This man has been teaching for over 40 years why else you would not want a man full of knowledge and wisdom to be your teacher. Prof. Breen is one of the best math teachers for a junior college you will ever have.

I LOVE PROF. BREEN!!!!! Math and I have not always been the best of friends, but I was lucky enough to have him for intermediate algebra and I enjoyed going to his class. He made Math fun and easy. I am so glad that there were enough seats for me to take him for mac1105. YAY!!

Very cool guy! Great teacher. He prints out the notes for you which is a plus. Just pay attention, don't miss too many classes, and you will do fine.

LOVE HIM!!! He is the BEST professor I have EVER had!!! I hate MATH and he made me LOVE it!!! If you have a chance to speak to him after class PLEASE do so because he is a AWESOME person!!! I wish I could keep him in my pocket and take him with me everywhere for motivation! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

This was the best professor I have ever had in my life, and I'm so sad to leave his class. If you hate math, and it's difficult for you, TAKE HIM! He works hard for YOU to pass. And he's so funny and a great professor. He's the greatest person I've ever met, and anyone that says anything bad about him just didn't try in class and blame him 4 it.

He is kind of annoying. He can't hear so you have to say things 4 or 5 times. He's also not afraid to announce your test grade for the entire class to hear - happened to me twice. Other than that if you go to class it is pretty easy. He also puts you in groups and assigned seating like 1st grade.

BEST PROF EVER! He tells you right off the bat that if you feel you're struggling Talk to him immediately-he wants Everyone to pass! He walks you through everything-basically spoonfeeds you what you need to know for the tests and skips things he feels are unnecassary or too complicated. I took Stats before and failed-I've gotten all A's with Breen!

this dude rocks hard. he says "calculator!" a lot, but who cares. He tells you everything that will be on his tests. You could have down syndrome and still get an A.

He is a really good teacher. The only thing I didn't like about him is that I was one point away from an A in the class and he gave be a B. I came to class everyday, so I think I deserved the A. Other than that, he is an amazing teacher, who loves math and his students. I was not enthused about taking Statistics, math is not my best subject.

He is a fabulous teacher & loves what he does. Go to class everyday. Math is not my best suject, and I got a B. The only thing is that I was 1pt away from an A & he didn't give it to me! You have to do 2 grp projects which can be stressful, but it's about what you learn in class. I took 8wk course to get it out of the way. Awesome teacher take him!

professor breen is very nice. hes really old and he says some really weird things but he wants you to pass the class. he is always there for any extra tutoring you need. he walks u through everything but i just feel that he rushes through things and doesnt take hs time so u forget things easily.

Prof. Breen is a great instructor. He takes the time to ensure his students get the info they need not only for passing his class, but for the next higher level math class if you have one. I say take him if you are shakey in the math department!!

Professor Breen was very understanding and helpful! The class I took was a hybrid and it has a little more work than a regular class since it was half in class and online! Everyone is guaranteed to pass!! EVERYONE... Great Professor! I highly recommend him

I love this teacher! I think he is amazing. I am taking MAT1033 with professor Breen and I was terrified because I had just failed it 2 semesters ago. He shows you how to do every problem and gives you reviews that are EXACTLY like the test. I got a 96 on the first test. Not normal for me.

Professor Breen was great!! I took him for Statistics over the summer, fast track style. Classes were long and intense, but I was able to get the best math grade I've ever gotten in my life, an A! Pay attention, study hard, and you can do it too! Aside from teaching math he is a really interesting guy and has a cool teaching style. Def recommend!!!

He is great Professor! He didn't require a textbook because he basically makes his own text/workbooks, (so saves students money). He explains things very well and always encourages to use your calculator. He teaches you how to do it by hand and calculator! He is extremely nice and very understanding! Take him!! You won't regret it! :)

Good professor. It's an easy A if you do your work. I usually studied/practiced one day before each test and i always got B (almost A) and I don't like math, I've never been good at it. He gives good test reviews. So, if you don't wait last minute and do your work, come to class and ask for help, its an easy A :)

Great professor! Extra credit project was given to everyone in the class. If you attend majority of classes and do all the mandatory tasks, it shouldn't be hard to get an A in this class. If he'll teach accounting classes, or other classes I need to take - I'll sure take him! Take him!

EASY A. seriously though, even if you are bad at math, he provides you with your own book (you don't have to buy one) and gives no grades besides tests... tests are the exact same thing as the study guide. SO easy and doesn't count attendance

Prof Breen was awesome (I have a background in math). Wouldn't take him if he was your first college math teacher though because he expects you to have a foundation. He gives study guides which are just like the tests. He prefers one-on-one questions vs. raising hand in class. I would definitely take him again and probably will for STA2023.

I went into this class with very negative outlook. Professor Breen was awesome! He has a very hands on teaching style that really clicks with your brain and makes statistics make sense to you. I have recommended him already to a few people and would still strongly recommend him if you have to take stat.

Do the work and you will pass. Show up to class and ask for clarity when you don't understand a concept (they build off each other) and you will do well. You have to try to fail.

professor breen is a great guy. he understands that we have lives so he lets us come late, let's us leave early, and doesn't mind if we get up to go answer a phone call. BUT, he's very hard of hearing. and he doesn't have anywhere online to check grades so for our final grade we have to email him. its been 4 days and he still hasn't responded to me

Professor Breen is a pretty fair professor. He wants students to do well. He sometimes doesn't hear the questions asked and can move very fast, but he's always been willing to stay after and explain something again. Math has always been my struggle, but I was able to get an A by attending every class, going to math lab, and studying/practicing.

He really made statistics which can be scary easy to learn and understand. I that it was very helpful one of his former students worked in the math lab in the library so he knew exactly how to help. Also loved that he sends a copy of his notes (a study guide/ work sheet that you go through during class together.) to the math lab.

Be sure to speak up, he is hard of hearing. Don't think he is ignoring your questions, just make sure he knows you have one, and he'll answer it. This class is good for people who aren't math majors. Be sure to show up, he gives you a sample test to take home and try out. Do it because the test are the same questions with different numbers.

I'm not good in math so this class was tough, but he is very clear on what he expects from his students and gives reviews and goes over them before every test. ASK QUESTIONS! He is there to help! Although he gets confused sometimes, he's pretty clear when teaching and wants his students to pass

I took him for MAC1105 and STA2023, and I have just never understood math. But Professor Breen is the most helpful, compassionate, kind professor Ive had at FSCJ & Im a junior. He genuinely cares about his students well being in class and outside of class. He's very understanding and generous with makeup work. highly recommend professor Breen

Mr. Breen is a wonderful teacher. He is compassionate and helpful, and will always answer any questions or concerns you may have. He doesn't assign too much work, and gives you the option of doing it; if you do the homework, you'll do better on tests and pass, but he lets you decide to do it or not. He's also very understanding about absences!

There is a cheap textbook which you work in he makes you buy and obviously it's worth it. Step-by-step for each concept and he is open to questions. The practice helps you with the concepts you're unsure about, and best of all he gives you an entire practice test identical to the ones he gives. Great class- I still use his notes to this day.

He doesnt give any math lab. Everything is in his books. If you dont feel like showing up he doesnt take attendance after the first 2 days and after that it is all up to you

There's no MathXL and he doesn't update grades on blackboard. His class is 5 test, no midterm or final. You can only retake test one. He's a good teacher but a little hard of hearing. He doesn't require you come to class and you must pass 3 tests to pass the class. The test are to the point and moderately hard, unless you study.

He talks quite a bit, but he tells good stories. He literally tells you exactly what is going to be on the test. Makes understanding the material very easy. I took him for statistics the following semester.
