Most people either love or hate his teaching style. I thought he was awesome.

Daniels is the best professor in the School of Business. He is an excellent lecturer, fair and very bright. He can be ****ly to those who don't do their work and bother him with dumb questions. He has an awesome sense of humor!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He has a very interesting method of teaching but requires the most out of his students. I highly advise taking him.

This is one of the best professors in the College. He definately knows what he is teaching. He will cut out all the insignificant subjects and only teach you what is necessary in the business world.

I would take him over other ACCT profs. We all have to suffer through it so you might as well take the best of the lot. Overall good class. I recommend taking it during Maymester.

only has 3 tests and 2 or 3 quizzes...NO FINAL. he only makes you learn info. that's important. accounting is hard and he knows what he's talking about. take him (you must like weird senses of humor)

THIS IS UNBIASED AND TRUE- Dr. Daniels is an extremely hard and harsh teacher, however you will learn accounting and he will give bonus points if you do bad on tests. If he doesnt like you, he will tell you in front of the whole class. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Dr. Daniel is very paranoid, and if he thinks you don't like him or are out to get him...WATCH OUT! Memorize everything his gives as notes, go by his office for brownie points, & you will do well. I liked his neurotic personality.

He is very fair. He tells you EXACTLY what will be on the tests and doesn't try to trick students. He does his tests based on notes, so if you take notes and come to class you'll do fine.

Daniels is the best professor that I have encountered at the College. He is very serious about his subject and has high standards. A very easy class if students do their work and come to class.

I have had Dr. Daniels for three courses from ACCT 203 to graduate courses. He is the brightest person that I have met at the College. His liberal and institionally critical views changed how I see the world. THE BEST!

I enjoyed the class much more because of Professor Daniels. He is very straight forward and well above the intellect of the other professors that I have encountered in the School of Business.

Great teacher. He is only intimidating to those who show up to class unprepared. If you keep up you have no fear of being called out. Requires only the important things from the book and tells you what they are. Not Hard!

An accountant with a personality-- imagine that. He is truly an intellectual and at the same time can make any student understand if they will listen and do their work. He is the best in the School of Business.

If you can get past the biting sarcasm, cyncism, open hostility to authority, you'll learn more than in any other course. Daniels is great. His personality totally fits his critical thought bent on the accounting profession. He gets an A+

He gave me the best foundation in any of my business courses. This guy is bright... he won't put up with nonsense. Don't take him if you are not prepared to do the work. He is excellent.

Daniels is the best professor that I have had at the College.

He has a great personality and is really funny, but only take him if you are really serious about accounting. If you are confused, he will leave you in the dust, but if you know what is going on, or want a challenge, definitely take him.

Daniels comes across as somewhat of an ass, but he really cares about his students. He will take time with students who are willing to put forth the effort and work hard. There is no reason not to get an A in his class.

One of the best professors I've had. Daniels knows what he's talking about, and makes a terribly boring subject interesting. Great stories. You have to work hard, but if you go to class (don't ever miss) you can make an A.

I found him sexy and very articulate. Plus, he made a lot of difficult material easy to synthesize. I recommend him if you are serious about the subject matter.

Told lots of entertaining stories, but probably should have spent more time teaching...alot of people in the class had trouble. The best part is that he doesn't use that GIGANTIC Accounting book all the other profs use, and he makes it clear he thinks that book is pointless and that certain other acct profs aren't worth a grain of salt. Take him.

This man is an amazing person with a good heart. I didn't want to be a business major and Dr. Daniels could spot it right away. Not only did this man help me pass his class with a low A, but he helped me with my **** Economics teacher and even told me how to sign up for a study abroad program in Europe. It was the best semester of my life!

Funny guy, tough but good teacher and helpful. You really have to pay attention in his class because he moves at his own pace but if you do that and read the stuff in the book he tells you to then you'll do alright. ask lots of questions too!

Daniels is excellent. His lectures are clear and to the point. Don't expect him to lecture to you in his office. Come to class! He has mandatory attendance and means it. Nice person.

Daniels is a really cool and funny guy who knows his material. He is always willing to help if you have done your work. You must come to class. His tests are 100% based upon what goes on in class.

I probably worked harder in Daniels class than any other at the College. I learned a great deal from him. On several occaisions, I laughed until my sides hurt at his biting sarcasm. He is sarcastic, cynical, and sometimes mean to those who don't do what they are supposed to do. He has made profanity an art. Love him as a professor!

Daniels is a genius in the classroom. He knows accounting and the financial markets better than anyone I know. His style is entertaining and he is one of the funniest people that I have met. I looked forward to his class as he always made me laugh. He is a hardcore critic of institutions and regulation. Best professor at the College.

He is amazing! He is sooooo funny! He has his own opinion about everything!! He is a really good teacher and is really good at making you understand the material. If you take good notes in class then you will do good on the tests because everything he says is on the test!!! So easy if you come to classs everytime.

I thought he did a really good job teaching the intro class. He is thorough and expects a great deal. I suspect that the criticism that he gets is from those who either didn't do well or those he embarrasses for texting in class. He deals with many students who do not do what they are supposed to do. Dr. Daniels taught my Maymester class and it was one of the best experiences that I have had at the College. He is focused, organized and knows the stock market. I would definitely take him again. I wish other professors were as good.

He takes a very boring and tedious subject and helps the students to understand it in a clear context that is relevant to disciplines throughout the business school. I am a political science major and Daniels help me understand financial markets. He's a good guy and I am better for having had him. Don't listen to the criticism on here.

I've been out of the College for 3 years and look back on Dr. Daniels as the best prof that I had. Yes, he can be cyncical and sarcastic but he is the most intellectually honest of the group. I think he is a fantastic professor who manages his class very well. I have learned a great deal from him and hope to take him again.

Those who do well under Dr. Daniels are better prepared for some of the more rigorous courses to come. If you are an accounting major, you are at a distinct advantage if you have had him for the undergraduate financial course. Overall, he is a great person and the best professor that I had at the College of Charleston.

i loved daniels! after reading the comments on here i was more than a little freaked out prior to the first class, but this was my favorite class of the semester. he wants everyone to do well and cares more about what his students think than any other professor i have taken. there was not a single class that i didn't laugh during.

I did well under Daniels. His lectures are clear and organized. He knows the material so well he can teach you much better than learning it strictly from the book. I agree that the criticisms on here are totally unfounded. Thanks for a great semester

I would have fled the School of Business if it hadn't been for Daniels. He is great!!! The comment about him being spiteful is from someone he kicked out of class for texting during his lecture. Take hime if you want clear lectures that bear to his exams. I give him an A+!

Spiteful??? No way, just because he doesn't allow you to sit in class and text? Daniels is the single best professor that I have had at the College. He knows his subject so well he is able to lecture off the top of his head rather than relying on the book or powerpoint slides. I, too, give him an A+!

Pretty good professor, casual relationship w students and has amusing stories. Isnt very strict on attendance but def go to class because he puts things exactly the way they will be on the test. No hw. Multiple choice tests that come mostly from lecture with a few questions from the book.. tests can get tricky but he helps out w curves/extra credit

He was a great professor. His class is no gimme. You do have to work, and it is important to go to class, as alot of important info is given (of course). I never found him to be spiteful. Rules oriented...yes. Very approachable and easy to get along with!

He is hands down the best professor I've ever had. Take him if you are an accounting major. If you just need ACCT 203/204 for your business major I would not take him. He would probably expect too much in a entry level class.

Great Accounting Professor! If he is teaching a course you need to take, make sure to sit in his class! He is caring and understanding and he is focused on the lecture and the students. He isn't distracted or reliant on powerpoint. He has a powerful background in accounting so if you have any questions, he's able to answer them right then. A++!

Dr. Daniels' asynchronous online ACCT 203 course was the best course of the semester for me. His videos are excellent and include everything that you need to know to do well on the quizzes. He held office hours on Zoom and was extremely helpful. He is one of the most organized professors that I have encountered.

Professor Daniels is passionate about what he is teaching and is very helpful and quick to get back if you have any questions. You are graded on a weekly quiz and weekly homework assignment. The quiz is on lockdown and camera is on. He drops one quiz grade and another one if you complete 85% of all homework assignments.

Dr. Daniels is very organized. His video lectures are excellent. Many of the lectures are in context of the problems that he works in the videos intended to prepare us for the weekly quizzes. He is always helpful and highly recommended.

Professor Daniels was always helpful during office hours both in person and on Zoom. He answers emails promptly. His videos are excellent but you have to do the homework and not just merely listen to them. The videos are just like being in a live lecture. The course is difficult and the asynchronous mode is not for everyone.

I had taken this course two other times and failed once and withdrew the other. Professor Daniels's videos and extremely organized course were amazing compared to my other experiences. I met with him on his Zoom office hours and dropped by his in-person office hours and he was always kind and willing to help me.

Dr. Daniels is the best professor that I have taken. He is extremely intelligent and his vast knowledge of accounting is unbelievable. His course is organized and he has an engaging personality. He is an honest grader who expects students to work hard and learn the material. I never found him to be aggressive or condescending.

Professor Daniels runs a challenging but rewarding course. The weekly quizzes and homework require dedication, but his organized video lectures and availability for support make it manageable. Unstuckstudy was a great study aid alongside the textbook. Overall, a worthwhile class for motivated students.

He is a very nice man who helped me a lot when I went to his office hours. His videos are helpful, and he is knowledgeable about the subject. The complaints about him on this website are likely those he caught cheating and failed them in the course. I heard he had students suspended from the College for cheating on the exams. Great course!

This class was good for an online accounting course. The assignments consisted of only 12 quizzes that use lockdown browser + camera. There were lecture videos provided that helped more with the homework, which is not graded, compared to the actual quizzes. However, if you do the homework, you can get an extra quiz grade dropped.
