He's very laidback and easy going. The papers for the class are rather short though 1 to 2 pages.

Extremely easy class. Do your essays and you will get an A no doubt. Your grade is based off of 5 essays and a Final essay. This was my most favorite class because it was a relaxing class.. which I needed with my demanding science & math classes. TAKE HIM IF YOU GET THE CHANCE. I didn't learn much from him, but sometimes you need an easy A class :)

This class is so easy!! there was one quiz the whole semester. there is like 3 or 4 papers, long as you do the length requirement and show that your trying impossible not to get an A. he lets his class out very early also. must take this teacher so easy!!!!!!!!!!

Great Instructor. Grades papers fair, but you must be there or your lost. Plenty of papers to write and surprise quizzes. Don't mess around in his class either(cell phones, talking) he will let you know about it. If you can do your part he will do his and you will come out with a nice grade. Take notes,PAY ATTENTION!!! He's such a great teacher! He kept making sure everyone was able to do all the online homework and he really just wants to see everyone succeed. He may seem sort of intimidating but he's such a great teacher. This class didn't have me feeling stressed out like some of my others, it was nice to go to.

Professor Elle was the best. Class was structured to make the students better as writers first and foremost. Mr. Elle really cares about the future academic and professional success of his students. As a student returning to college after about five years off, this was an amazing class. I hope to be able to take him again for 1190.

For someone who sucks at writing papers and hated every other English class, I actually look forward to going to his class. He makes it fun, interactive, and hes funny. Papers arent too hard. He lets class out early a lot. He doesnt allow make up work, but gives you 5 days to miss class, after that, you wont pass! Wish he taught more classes!

Most helpful and awesome professor out there. Took his 1180 class last semester. Do the reading, give him your attention, participate, and he will help you anyway he can to get a good grade. Books are needed for lectures. Quiz's regularly every week. A lot of topic freedom on essays. He still helps me even though I'm no longer in his class. A+++

Professor Elle is literally the best English professor I have ever have. I would literally email him every one of my essays before it was due in class. He would change my wording or correct some improper grammar for me and email it back. Every essay I would get a 100%. He loves picking on his students so be prepared he's actually pretty funny.

Mr. Elle is a great instructor! He comes as dry and rigid at times, but he truly cares. He wants you to well! Quizzes are almost every week, they can burn you out a bit but they are open note and book. Test are easy, study review. Send paper in early and will tell you what need for an A on it.

For papers, if you submit it to him early he will look it over and give you suggestions. By far one of the coolest instructors ever!

AMAZING PROFESSOR! That's all I could say, he's hilarious and gets you engaged in the lectures. There are a few quizzes, but they're easy, and you get to use your book and notes on them. Love this class! He is an awesome teacher he gives great feedback, is there to help you, he makes learning interesting and fun. He gives you a good amount of homework but it is simple and most is in class you just do the essays and studying for his 5 quizzes at home. Rogers so funny and sarcastic, his humor fits in well with this generation. All ten of the grammar quizzes are open note. There are four essays but you can email him your essays any time and he will send it back to you with corrections and suggestions. It is really easy to get unexpected extra credit on in class assignments by answering thoroughly.

Elle always makes the class one to look forward to. He's hilarious and his lectures are never boring. His instructions are always very clear and makes himself clear that he is devoted to helping any and all students who want his help. Very good professor who cares so much. Allows up to 4 absences until it messes with grades. There is five papers he assigns but each come with clear criteria to follow. We peer edit essays and he is more than willing to check/fix your paper to get an easy A. He is also super funny and makes the entire class laugh during any of his lectures.

If I would clearly recommend a well professes especially for 1180 & 1190 is professor Roger. He definitely very intelligent, knowledge & respected as well as makes feel you're the professor and giving him your explanation and he listens to you and gives a great feedback. His mainly focus is on how to deliver to the students the correct ideas.

I would recommend taking his class, especially if you have been out of school for some time as I have. He takes time to explain things so that you understand, he doesn't make you feel dumb/little for asking a question. He's always available and promptly responds to my emails. He also offer extra credit if you want a better grade.

Professor Elle is one of the best professors I have had! Your participation matters however when it comes down to the circumstances he is very understanding! He is straight to the point and gives lots of time to work on essays and other assignments. At the end of every lecture, there is a short and sweet discussion board. If on zoom show your face!

Professor Elle was amazing to say the least. I have his 8am class and even that early he is so funny, and makes class a blast. His essays were graded super fairly with enough feedback for success. Elle is the best teacher I've had! He actually cares if you pass and gives a ton of extra credit to help you out. The extra credit was given when you did more than the assignment asks. He's super easy to talk to and answers emails really fast. His jokes are hilarious, and he makes class fun.

The course is already very easy but professor Elle makes it even more interesting and fun. There are discussions every week and one super easy paper to write I believe every other week or so. Total of 2/3 big papers in the entire semester that are fairly graded and he gives you extra time to make up any missed assignments. Definitely take him.

He is an extremely down to earth person that wants his students to succeed. Extra credit is given on assignments if he deems them exceptional. Professor Elle grades fairly and communicates quickly. Attendance was absolutely required as per MCC. Beyond 2 absences had consequences with the final grade posting so use your freebees sparingly.

Very clear grader, took ENGL 1190. Very nice feedback on grading when it comes to essays. Follow the rubrics, and its too easy to get an A in this class. Mr. Elle was funny and understanding, you are only allowed 4 absences per semester. Anything more it lowers your grade a full letter. He was great.

Ahh yes mr.elle, he was an amazing teacher. When I first met him, he reminded me of steve carell overall, an amazing guy very funny and wants all of his students to pass his class, And also gives great constructive criticism in whatever project he gives you. Always ask for help in his class he will never make you feel stupid for asking it.

Overall an amazing professor and funny guy. He first comes off with the "I don't care about you" personality, but he will eventually warm up to the class and start cracking dad jokes.
