Extremely hard professor, but a very good teacher. I didn't like him at first, but once I got used to his style, it was an enjoyable class. If you are serious about math, then this is the teacher to get.

Pro Goldwyn is an excellent teacher. He gives quizzes everyday but they are very helpful when it comes to exams because they are the same questions. Study quizzes and you will get an "A" on every exam.

This guy is hard but he is there to teach you. If you are lazy then don't take him, but if you can give a little effort he will pay it off as long as your not a total slacker. This dude has a Phd from Harvard, he is smart. What more could you ask for.

Took his class over the summer. So easy! At first I thought I was going to fail again because he is not the best at getting the concepts clearly to you and his handwriting is atrocious. But when I found out that ALL his exams including the final are the EXACT questions from the review tests he gives I got an A in the class. Doing reviews = A.

TEACHER IS GOOD BUT HE IS HARD..YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU DO THE HOMEWORK BECAUSE ALL HIS QUIZ AND TEST QUESTIONS COME FROM IT..HE LIKES TO REAPEAT THE SAME QUESTIONS ON QUIZZES ALOT THAT MOSTLY EVERY BODY GETS WRONG..

I hear Calc 2 is the harder calculus...thank God. Exams are straight from reviews. He's a really good guy and he wants you to learn. He is so smart that he sometimes has difficulty related to us lesser evolved neanderthals. If you want to know the material as well as you can take him..he knows his stuff..but it's tough class...not****ty you.

awesome...hes tough but and doesnt give partial credit on quizzes but he does on tests...he tends to repeat the same exact problem on tests and quizzes if the majority of the class doesnt get it right. at the end of the term if your final exam grade is higher then your course grade then that will be your grade in the class.

He knows every single mathematical problems. Never he got affraid with student questions and replace the poor exam with final which is cumulative. He is hard but try to be fair with every body. I got c+. but I like to take another class with him.

brilliant man!also very nice. problem is i think he feels that the rest of us are as brilliant. he is pretty difficult. his test questions are also very hard. if you like a good challenge i recomend you take him. you will learn a lot. just be warned

This teacher is the bomb, im an engineer student and this guy taught me calc 1 and 2, and engineering math 1. He explains really good, the material is really complex so you might get lost but he will backtrack. although horrible hand writing

Great guy, has a good sense of humor and tries his best to make class fun and educational at the same time. I am not an engineering major and I got a B (and that's only because of my final exam!)

Maybe one of the best Calculus 2 for engineers teacher on campus! he assigns homework via "mymathlab" and also does all his quizes and tests with this web application. His hand writing sucks, so be prepaired to ask him to rewrite what he just wrote. He also makes you keep a notebook with all your homework in it and he checks it everytime your homew

Awesome teacher. Very helpful and helps students succeed. Quizzes and exams are the h/w problems with different numbers. Drops 4 quizzes and 1 exam. Relates problems to real life. Every h/w assignments counts for a grade and must be kept in a notebook. Most of the time, get out of class early. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!

if you are tired of weird accents hes ur life saver.. perfect english and test are easy (HE WORKS WITH COURSECOMPASS) very easy online program you will have a lil quiz every week but the are not worth much... you have 2 exams the quises and the hw.(gift)n aleks (gift) and as grades he drops lowest and then the final.. best of the mac 2253 proffsrs.

I love Dr. Goldwyn! He is very nice! He uses mymathlab and the questions are the same with just different numbers . He always made sure we had enough time on quizzes and exams. On the quiz and exams though, they're always cumulative and he doesn't curve. I DEFINITELY recommend him!

Had him for Calculus for Engineers I. Homework is online (MyMathLab) and the quizzes and tests are based off of the homework. If you understand the homework, you should be fine. Also, let you use notes on quizzes. He's not the greatest teacher but if you go to SI sessions, you should be alright.

Sure, he's a nice guy and all, but I couldn't stand the class. He talks about the same things, repeating himself, and wasting time. Sometimes we wouldn't start learning until 20 mins into the class. The test problems are from homework but he does make homework annoying. Always something due. Oh and don't expect to read his handwriting on the board!

Here's the real problem- Dr. Goldwyn tries to hard to be nice to the slackers in his classes by making the hw easy. Then when it's test time, most people bomb and since tests count the most, a lot fail out. Plain and simple.

He's the best. Take the 2+2 college algebra class. Jesse and Michael are awesome tutors.

Best Math proff I've ever had. For a 6 week class you had a quiz everyday straight from the hw problems and the final consisted of hw problems too. Made a huge effort to explain what equations mean instead of just solving them. Very fair on grading as long as you explain yourself. Very helpful, answered all questions, very nice guy.

Good Professor. You might struggle if your not a fast learner. Ask as many questions as you can because he loves to answer them and it's hard to understand the material otherwise. Do all the homework and try to understand it. He did some sort of curving at the end because my low B turned into an A- (recommend)

Online 2233 much better than in person! All lectures prerecorded, notes on ms powerpoint, weekly homework and quizzes, attendance 1x a week to review hw problems right before quiz, 2 exams (review exams are VERY similar to actual exam) and a final. MML HW w/ "view an example" =HELPFUL! Teacher is more than willing to help! Take this class online!

He isn't the "easiest" professor but you will learn math and be better prepared for the next class. He lectures on the concepts and does a great job at it! He doesn't just reiterate whats in the book. He also does some weird stuff with quizzes and group work but overall the Class was definitely well done. Will be taking for calc 2.

I am a transient student from the University of Florida. I took his class completely online for the summer. He assigns one homework in between exams (max 60 problems) and his exams are exactly like the homework just different numbers. He is very sweet and reasonable. He responds fast to emails and is always willing to help. Learn the HW!

Dr. Goldwyn knows how to provide the information you need, just listen to the lectures and go to tutoring, and you should be okay. He will possibly drop the lowest homework grades and one lowest exam grade.

I didn't watch any of his lectures online (they aren't the best) get ready to teach yourself the work. Although, the tests are very similar to the homework so if you get As on the HW you can pass. He responds to emails very quickly so if you have questions ask away. Make sure you don't miss deadlines and do all the hw with time.

Took this professor fully online. Passed with a 70% and didnt study too much. Hard class for sure but with mathway you can get by

I took the fast pace methods of calc. online & it was worth it because in just a couple weeks you are taking the final & done with the class. If you do the homework & watch the videos provided for each problem it's easy to understand. For me the lectures didn't really help but were mandatory so you just pretty much sit there & listen on Webex.

I took this class for the first half of the semester and it honestly isn't bad at all. The lectures are mandatory and he gives quizzes throughout them for attendance. The homework is time consuming but if you can do those problems you will do well on his tests.

I took this class online and passed with an A. I usually struggle in math but this class was easy to understand. He uses MyOpenMath and there are videos for all the homework. Watch them and practice and you will not have any issues with the tests. During the lectures (online) we had breakout rooms and the TAs were super helpful! Take online class.

Such an easy class with very few assignments. Everything is pretty straightforward and uses Math Lab for all assignments and exams. Gives plenty of time to do everything.

No offense to him, but his lectures are not the best. You might end up teaching yourself the material. Quizzes are easy, as long as you do the homework. He also gives an ample amount of time to complete the homework. I will say that he tries his best, but he's not good w/ technology. He's also very accessible and caring, so if any doubt, email him!

Pretty easy class, and structured nicely. If you put in the time and effort then you will definitely pass.
