His sense of humor is what makes his class interesting, and tells you how his math lessons will be relevant in the real world. He is open to student opinion, and moves at the pace of the class so that no student gets left behind! Excellent teacher!

he is funny. He cuts out all the material you don't neet. You can understand him very well, and if you have questions he walks you through them. He also goes over what might be on the test so you know what to study.

Math usually isn't fun but his sense of humor and helpfulness makes it easier to stand. He explains all of the problems very well and most students seem to uderstand him. His test are short and usually pretty easy. And he does make ups!!! He's a great teacher!!!

Roger is the most awsome Math instructor I have ever had! He was awsome as my high school math instructor for 2 years, and then an awsome instructor for my math courses in college! He's a bit of a hippie, but totally awsome! Very funny! And will go out of his way to help his students when needed!

Hithcock was a awesome DS71 professor. It was my second time taking DS71. He was so much better than my first teacher. Explains things in great detail, goes over everything and keeps the class entertained with his jokes.

He's a really cool guy. His dry humor keeps the class entertained. He never takes roll, and he lectures on the homework, so if you're pretty stron in Math, you'll only have to go on the test days.

He is so awesome! I really enjoyed him. Just four tests, and all you do is turn in hw on the day of the test. He is totally cool.

This class was not very interesting to me but the teacher Mr. Hitchcook was very entertaining I don't like math but I still would go to class because the teacher was funny and kept the class interesting. Piece of cake. Assigns you hmwk problems for every 2 chapters but, he doesn't really check it. Exams are so easy because it's just like the sample test. He also goes over A LOT of the hmwk problems with you. Does a great job of answering your questions. Excellent teacher. Enjoyed his comical lectures and youtube videos.

My favorite teacher at fresno state. He teaches the subject well and is very funny. I had a MWF class with him and just showed up on the test days and got a B in the class with ease. If your considering taking this class its worth the extra effort to take it with him.

I loved this class. I got 100% on a few of the tests. He writes the equations for the test on the board so we don't have to memorize them. You get full credit even if you get the answer wrong, as long as you try you will do great.

Please don't be fooled. He may be a good teacher but he isn't a good grader. Oh man, I would study so hard for his tests and still get a C. He goes pretty fast so if you miss a class, sucks to be you. I would recommend taking someone else for this class. He does a good job of explaining the concepts but there is lots of HW. Get ready to work.

Two words: freakin' awesome! I loved going to Professor Hitchcock's class because he was a good lecturer and he took the time to have students understand the subject. I hated math before I took his class and he found a way to make me love it. His exams are fairly easy and the homework is just checked off. Simple quizzes on BB for credit and EC.

well, im have calculus advan for the last several semester.. i changed my major so i got to take basic math again... i never go to class. he easy. the only thing i dont like him is he didn't take as serious as it was... it maybe easy for student now, but it is ds 71. if one got lost, they cant go any further like ds 73, 123.

Professor Hitchcock is the best! If you have a difficult time with math, he is the person to take a class with. I have always dreaded math and Hitchcock made it enjoyable. Just turn in all assignments and study for tests and you will definitely pass. I wish I had him for all of my previous math courses.

Taken as last resort to pass last pre-req for business. Great instructor, clear on material, is there for students when they need help. Quizzes were 100 points but only graded 50, other 50 is extra credit. Entire semester I had a D, with all homework and quizzes, I passed with a B. Practice Exams a must, they are same as actual exam with dif #'s.

I retook DS71 w/ Mr. Hitchcock & understood the material more than the last professor I had. Unlike most teachers who would rush through each of the problems on the homework &/or test reviews, he gives you a walkthrough on how to CAREFULLY do them step-by-step, & takes his time to explain them. He's always there to answer your questions too!

Best thing to do is do the homework and what you don't understand ask, I know its nervous asking but it's for your own best. The homework is collected every test day. Its a chill class, the study guides really help out a lot.

Incredible professor. He is one of the nicest and funniest professors I have had at Fresno State. I looked forward to his class every day. One of the best professors I have taken for math at Fresno State. He is hilarious, and cracks jokes all the time in class. His lectures are awesome and he makes the material easy to understand. I'm a pre-vet major and this class was pretty easy. He's a good teacher, always making jokes, and is always willing to help and answer any question. You don't need to show up to class because you can learn from the book, but he does like half the homework problems for you as examples. Definitely take him for this class.

TAKE DS 71 WITH THIS DUDE! He's really funny, vulgar and he'll go over anything if you need help. I missed class a handful amount and I still received a good grade. The study guides are exactly what are on the test. The homework he always does in class.

He is the best DS71 professor. Definitely recommend taking him. There is a good amount of online homework, finance project, and some in class work. Test weren't bad but study from the study guide he gives you and you will pass.

Best DS prof there is, really easy, explains everything well. Organized, hmw is a lot on mymathlab but its the case with any prof you take. Does random attendance pts, not a big deal. Study guides for tests. Overall highly recommend.

Hitchcock makes an 8 am course fun! I really enjoyed his teaching style. He is a hilarious guy and explains everything in detail. As long as you are in class to ask questions and go over the study guide, you'll get an A on the exams. Unfortunately, we transition to online which made it more difficult, but he made the assignments easy to follow.

Mr. Hitchcock is always available for you each week so you can understand the material! Everything is basically on Perason which is HW, but it's sort of mandatory since its what's on exams. Along with the HW and exams he requires you to do quizzes in the DS 71 Supportive Materials section. Just make sure to do/study the hw and you'll be fine.

I really enjoyed Hitchcock's class. I liked how he gave students the option to take exams in person or online. He has 2 parts to his exams, online and written response. During lectures, he goes over easy ways to solve your homework. He is not strict on how your answers should show up. I recommend showing up every day to not miss any announcements.

It's hard not to love Hitchcock. He makes class so much more enjoyable with his commentary. By far one of my favorite math professors because he is so against learning math the most difficult way possible. His lectures consist of a lot of examples which end up helping you a lot for the exams. Really going to miss having a professor like him.

Hitchcock is an amazing professor! Homework and tests are all online. Make sure to do the quizzes by the end of the semester and there is a finance project but it will be walked through in class! Dont be afraid to ask for help! He will address any concerns his students have.

REALLY chill guy. Super easy class and all tests are online. Has up to like 5% extra credit which was super nice. Only one "project" but it took like 10 minutes. He's really funny and I enjoyed going to his class. Would recommend above ANY other teacher for DS71.

Professor Hitchcock is awesome, you take about 5 tests throughout the course and they are fairly easy if you pay attention. Homework is light and you have about a month to do about 40 questions of homework that are easy. You can miss class and still get a good grade. He is super funny and a great professor!

This professor is so funny and chill. I would 100% take again. You only get 3-4 homework assignments in 2 weeks! There is a test at the end of the units but they are super easy. I 100% recommend this professor!!

TAKE THIS CLASS! Extremely useful in life, he is very funny, and this class is very easy. 2 tests per unit (1 online and 1 in person), 1 big project and 1 final. Homework is due by the unit test. Go to class-his examples help you on the homework and you'll learn stuff you should know in life.

I am not the best at math but Professor Hitchcock made it easy to understand. If you go to class and ask questions when you have them, you will for sure do great. Wish he taught more business or math classes on campus.

One of the best professors at State. Very informative and straight forward. Tells you what's expected of you on the tests. If you attended lectures, it was guaranteed you'll pass the exams since the example questions given in class is similar to the exam questions. The online homework dives deeper into the topics. The exams were more general Q's.

Pretty smooth class, the online homework isn't due until exam days you have lots of time. I understood material when he explained its not too hard. One Online exam and in person exam for each unit, in person exam is based on things we go over in class they're not hard. Chill professor if you talk to him he will help you out.
