In the tests, he'll give u 5 problems, and u will find at least a coulple of hard problems u have never seen before.I don't recommend to take his class if u really want to understand the subject, and get an A on the tests.

He's very disorganized for a very hard subject. He gives 10-15 min uninformative videos on how to do the labs, then leaves you to figure out the rest. Tons of work (which I don't mind) however it only counts for very a small portion of your grade. The tests mainly make up your whole grade. What's the point of all the assignments???? Waste of time

Do not recommend taking 4A unless you want a B! Exams are worth nearly 80% of your grade and there are a TON of quizzes and homework each week that have absolutely nothing to do with his lectures and worth almost no pts. Extremely tough exams 1 hour time limit with 12 questions per exam and you cannot go back to previous answers in online format.

He expects you to put in nearly 10+ hours a week for 2 pts worth of assignments. Two exams and the exams are 150 points each. If you get more than 2 wrong on both exams you can say goodbye to the possibility of an A even if you get full pts on all the discussions and lab. The only saving grace is that the exams are curved and based on lab lectures.

He is just a GPA destroyer. The class is interesting, the lectures are pretty good, but his grading kills all the motivation. You can lose as much as 50% of the assignment points for a little unimportant thing. He makes mistakes himself but expects students to be like computers. So, just be ready to get a lower grade no matter how hard you work.

Exams make up most of your grade. You can't go backwards on them and only 5 minutes per question. So basically you can't check your answers and if you enter a number wrong or did a small calculation error, you don't get any credit. However, his lectures are pretty clear and easy to follow. Expect to put a lot of effort in the class to do well.

If you are a person who learns by examples, he is not the teacher for you. He only gives you simple basic examples from the lectures, so don't expect to be able to work with that alone. The homework questions are drastically more difficult than the quiz question. Also your grade is basically determined by your mid-terms and final.

The good thing is that it tests general knowledge and the questions won't be surprising. Homework is very hard and outside help is needed. Office hours are very helpful.

Mr. King's lectures provide a base for understanding physics principles. Some parts of his explanations are a bit hard to follow, so I recommend finding a good video to get that topic down. Tests are very easy if you understand the material well and do many practice problems. In comparison, the homework is challenging and is good practice material.
