Dr. M is awesome! One of those teachers you will always remember. His lectures are very easy to understand, but you are definitely going to have to work if you want an A. This is the kind of class I always looked forward to going to, and I hope you do too

i'm taking statistics online. i'm not good at math at all. but he explains the formulas so well, statistics now looks easy to me.

Class was a great experience, except trying to download the slides. There are two tests, and they are about average difficulty, but you get tons of extra credit. The requirements and material is very clear, so that you know exactly what will be on tests.

I think he is a very good instructor. the tests are kinda hard, but we always have good times except for when Greg makes his out there comments that no one understands. Dr. M makes really hard things sound easy and he provides a good learning enviroment and he gives smiley faces on good tests.

This guy made me change my major and my career path. He really opens your eyes to how amazing science can be. A Must-Have!

If you want to learn about psych, this is the man to learn it from! The physio psychology course material is very difficult and expansive, but Dr. M makes it seem easier than it is. If you can attend class most of the time, you will understand enough to at least get a C in the class. Lectures are well laid out and very entertaining. Labs are so-so.

Anyone who goes to Palomar and doesnt take him is missing out. This is not an easy class, but his teaching technique makes everything easier, and explains hard concepts in an understandable way. Over 80% of our class got As. You will remember things for the rest of your life that you learn in this class- and youll never go to class without laughing

Doesn't get much easier than this class. The material is sometimes hard to understand, but he is open to helping. You don't need to get the textbook if you attend the review sessions before the tests.

The first thing I would recommend is not missing class. You don't really need the textbook, just his lecture notes. But the lecture notes aren't as helpful without going to the lectures. Funny guy, class was entertaining. Easy to talk to if you were concerned about a grade. For the tests, actually study! Cramming the night before doesn't work

FABULOUS PROFESSOR! Dr. Morrissette teaches in a very patient, clear, and educated way. I wish I had more time at Palomar to take another class with him. It had been about 9 years since I had taken any Math, and HE made it seem easy. His expections of you are clear and realistic; as long as you study, you should succeed!

Best professor Palomar has to offer. You will have to study and show up to class but you will learn an incredible amount of valuable and fascinating information. Prof. Morrissette is absolutely amazing.

He was an awesome teacher. He will meet with you if you are unclear of material and is fast at responding to emails. He wants his students to succeed. He is also pretty funny. He will sometime go on tangents but since their is a lot of info. in the class to learn it is nice. 3 tests in a normal semester. 2-3 easy quizzes also.

Prof Morrissette is a great stats prof. You'd really have to be a failure to fail this class b/c his method makes stats simple and to the point. The "What's New" discussions are alway entertaining. Didn't really need the book at all. All the homework and notes are online w/ many XTRA Credit opps.

Really cool and funny guy, but don't think that because his class is laid back its easy. This class is extremely difficult material. I got very frustrated because people would ask off-topic questions and he would go off topic a lot. Make sure to pay attention, STUDY, and DO the LABS, and you will be sure to pass.

Took his Online class,all you have to do is watch the videos, turn the quizzes in on time and go to the test review classes and you'll pass the class no problem! Morrissette has an awesome sense of humor.

Class was very easy and all his online notes and reviews are so thorough, I didn't even really need to use my book He makes his notes are structured enough that he basically walks you through the concepts and makes stats easy and understandable don't take Stats from CSUSM take it from him

I took Dr. M's classes for physiological psychology and psych/stats 205. Keep up with the reading, actually study the material (especially in psych) and you will do fine. He is without a doubt one of the best professors at Palomar. He is approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and sincere; just don't get him started on anything sports-related.

I did not pass his class due to lazyness and just being irresonpsible but he is not hard. He is GREAT! He goes over everything that will be on the test. Test were pretty staright forward IF you study. You need to take the time to study. Ask questions, he will always answer them. He's a really nice guy. I ll be there again this fall ha!

I took his class and had to drop it because when your taking 3 other classes just like his it can be very overwhelming. Its very involved and you have to spend a lot of your time to study. Over all I want to take his class again he was hilarious and will take the time to teach you.

Roger is a great teacher. I was a bit nervous when I enrolled in this class but it's actually not bad at all. He has power points and as long as u study them and take good notes you will do fine on the tests. 3 quizes and 3 tests. He is all really funny and keeps the class very interesting. take him, highly recommended.

Literally the most amazing teacher I've ever had! Absolutely love him! He is so so soooo funny and takes the time to build up a relationship with everyone in the class. If you are "good at college" you should be able to get a good grade. Just listen in class, study his powerpoints, and ask him questions during his office hours. that's what I did :)

Great Professor. Very upfront, tells it like it is but in a funny way. Very enjoyable. Wish he had a in-class, class. I can only imagine how fun it would have been. It will take work on your part. You only go to the class for reviews for tests and then the test days. Just do homework. It's not a pass-me class.

If you study the Power Points and turn in all the Labs then there is no reason why you shouldn't pass the class. He is a great teacher and very funny.

I am stoked I was able to take this class instead of College Algebra. It is by no means an easy B but it is waay chiller than Interm- Algebra. The trick with Docs class is you need to REREAD the lessons multiple times over and over again until it just clicks. The lessons are step by step, and actually kinda fun once you no whats going on. READ 20X

He is clear and will help you get a good grade on the exam, but does not go into a lot of the material so that you will be left only working for a grade on not for knowledge. You can get an A but will have to learn on your own. Does not respond to emails fast.

Dr. M could design the course a little different, he seemed bored lecturing on topic. The entire lecture and power point are set up so that he really has to do very little to give you more info for the exams, may be why he leaves so much room to chat about irrelevant things, but we missed a lot too, making exams for me a mess. Didn't learn enough.

Literally the easiest class I've ever taken at Palomar. Took for fun during intersession (no stats prior) and received the highest grade. Everything's straightforwardprof tells you exactly what's tested (surprise, everything in the homework), and the exercises are explained step-by-step. Go to test reviews and UNDERSTAND CONCEPTS INTUITIVELY!

I was terrified going into stats, and because of Professor Morrissette, came out loving it. He's funny, engaging, and his expectations and instructions are very clear. It's not easy, but his style makes you want to do well, and shows you how to get there.

While the textbook was "mandatory," it was just used to clarify and expand on the material presented in class. I never really used it. As long as you pay attention in class and study the slides presented, you will do great. I would love to take another course of his.

i did his online class and you don't need the text book. he has a great outline and videos for the course that make it very easy to pass if you try. you HAVE to study or at least do the homework. he's a awesome professor and i would recommend his class.

I'm one of those students that tend to break out into hives at the thought of taking a Math class. SO, how to survive this class and get an "A"? 1). Do the HW. 2). Turn in HW on time. 3). Study HW & REPEAT. He provides all that you need for the course to succeed; good videos. Like to see your exam score posted in a timely manner? Not gonna happen.

I was a little scared to take this class because of the physiology aspect of it, but Morrissette is hands down one of my favorite professors I've had at Palomar. He makes the class fun with his jokes and stories, he's always available before or after class and is willing to answer all your questions. Best Physio Psych prof, you won't regret it!

I took his online stats course and it was fantastic! He lectures are very clear, but if you still don't understand, every section includes a video that goes further in-depth. I recommend you do the homework and do the practice problems that come up in the lecture before looking at the answer. I also never used the textbook.

I was extremely scared of taking this class because I am horrible at math however ended up loving the class. He gives you everything you need from videos to watch and practices to do. As long as you study, do the work and practice you'll do great, take it from me I went from the lowest math(15),to math 54, to math 205 and I passed!

His lectures are somewhat difficult to understand, as he does not provide a study guide before the exam, but he does go over the material that will be on the exam. AMAZING TEACHER. I took his online stats class, and his class was concise, simple, yet informative. As long as you watch his online lectures, keep up with the weekly HW, and do the computer exercises, you'll be fine. DON'T forget your simple calculator during exams, and definitely do the practice questions if you want an A!

Rating based off first impression of Prof & orientation of 4 week fast track class. This Prof is very straight forward about his class structure and the fact that he makes it very easy to pass. I really can't see another way he could have made this course any easier. I suck at math & fail every time, but this is different math and so far so good.

Morrissette is a really nice and funny professor. His lectures are filled with lots of information. His exams are based on powerpoints and extra info he adds on in class, so it's pretty important not to miss class. Expect one group project. Textbook isn't that necessary. Just show up to class everyday, study your notes, and you should be good.

I have failed every math class I ever took, but got an A in the 4 week fast course. All online, his website has detailed lecture videos, he explains the material very well. Material which would otherwise be hard is made easy, as he actually makes the effort to enrich his lessons. Dr. Morissette never runs out of relevant and entertaining stories. I recommend you take a seat in the front two rows. Truly awesome.

Honestly one of the best professors I've had at palomar. I graduated from palomar this year to pursue vet medicine at Davis but every time stats comes up I'm glad I had him. His material couldn't be more straight forward and easy to access. Very caring if you put in the work.

For someone who sucks at math, i've learned a lot from this professor compared to previous ones. His online lessons are helpful and specific and his additional workbook problems do so much. I usually use those as study guides and it makes me feel more confident before an exam. My only complaint is that he doesn't respond to emails.

MUST TAKE!!! He is hilarious and relates real life experiences (which are hilarious) to the lecture. He truly should have 5.0 on here, blows my mind why he doesn't. He is one of those teachers that makes learning fun and relates to his students, which makes him one of the greats. You learn so many life lessons from him and he loves his students!FAV

I wish I could take him again! Definitely a class and a professor I will truly miss. He makes you very comfortable and I actually looked forward to every class because he really knows his material and he makes learning so interesting because he is so hilarious and so intelligent! Everyone should experience one of his classes.

He's like if Dennis Leary were a Sociology professor. Gives you a ton of information to study, but gives you everything you need in an easy to understand way to pass the class. Has his own class website with text lectures and youtube video lectures. Read them and watch them. Do the workbook questions. They're not graded, but they really help.

Makes sure everyone understands the material, as long as you put in the work. Very chill guy, not too serious, and personable. Great teacher and not a lot of homework. Literally just pay attention and do the homework and tell him when you're confused, you will excel. Doesn't take any misconduct and is always available to you. HIGHLY recommended.

I would highly recommend the online course! 3 noncumulative tests, and 1 hw assignment a week. (Plus 3 excel assignments, and a few extra credit opportunities) If you are struggling, he will help you out in office hours but I'd recommend emailing him about it ahead of time.

There are weekly homework assignments ( fairly easy), 3 computer assignments (you have to use a special software only on campus computers), and 3 exams. If you know how to do the workbook problems you should be fine on the exams since theyre basically the same types of questions. You dont need the book, I got an A and I only opened it once.

Hes amazing!! However, I aced two of my exams and one of them I got 80 and yet did not get an A in his class. Just keep up with the homework and computer assignments and you will be good.

Professor Morrissette is great. This class is not too hard if you do the work, but it is required that you understand the earlier material to do well later, so set yourself up for success by doing the work thoroughly early. It's an online class but the tests are done in person at the school and you must attend those. Responsive to questions.

Dr. Morrissette is one of those really good professors that rewards those who show up to class and engage with the material. If you don't apply yourself, you won't do well in the class, but the lessons are very fascinating, so showing up to class should be enough to keep you engaged. Study for the tests and quizzes using the slides he has online!

Morrissette is the BEST professor I have ever had at Palomar. He is super nice and very approachable. He's absolutely hilarious and will make the class fun to learn. I wish I could take him for all my classes.

Professor Morrissette is a cool professor. Only saw him 4 times in the semester, (during the mandatory orientation and exams) but he was very chill. There are weekly hw and 3 major tests (noncumulative). If you are not motivated to do things by yourself or do understand math too well, do not take this class online. You need to be self-motivated.

Although I only took his online class for stats, Dr. M was really awesome. He doesn't use Canvas at all, but his examples and videos are very helpful (I'm a visual learner, so the videos were very helpful). I took 2 of my exams at the DRC, and it was a bit hard getting in touch with him, but it worked :)

I have always done well in Math, but this was like a whole other level. You have homework due every Sunday night, which Is available all semester. You are graded on 16 homework, 3 exams, and 3 computer exercises. If you are disciplined and sit down everyday and watch his tutorials it should be easy, but no way to pass if you don't.

I was scared of taking this class bc I thought it would be too much work to handle with my other courses, but it was much easier than I had thought. You have weekly homework which is not hard at all. Theres only 3 exams which are easy as long as you study the practice problems bc they replicate the exam questions. Only 2 computer exercises, easy.

Dr. M is very chill. Has prerecorded lectures to watch, then just do a 5 question hw assignment and email him your answers. Answers emails within 1-2 days. His lecture notes are straight forward and easy to understand. Just study up, pay attention, and you will easily get an A. One hw assignment a week, a few exams(w/ec), a few computer exercises.

Easy and straight forward class. Has online lecture notes with prerecorded videos explaining the content. One five question homework assignment a week, 3 computer assignments due on test days, and three OPEN NOTE tests. The tests are pretty easy too. Hw is graded on accuracy so a group chat helps to double check answers before you turn it in.

Dr. M is a great professor. He posts all his lecture videos on YouTube and posts them all the first day of class. Every 2 weeks you will have a quiz on about 30 videos, each being 1-3 minutes long. He exams are very easy if you really listen to videos. You have an easy assignment every Friday and a 3 quiz's, 3 exams, and one group project.

I just took Dr. M and he's a good professor he gives you everything in the class you need to pass. He also has youtube videos explaining his lectures better. I took the month class so it was heavy on assignments but I wouldn't expect anything different. Very straight forward class. Would take again if I had too.

Taken him 2x. He's NOT rude, just to the point; funny actually. A cool guy who WANTS to help if you just show effort. As for his 6pm tests - you know the 1st day of class when they are. If you can't plan ahead for 3 15 min quizzes and 3 1hr tests you know about MONTHS ahead of time, quit adulting. I love his style. No fluff., just get 'er done.

I really like his format for how he teaches online. The lectures are very easy to follow and everything is easy to find

Listen- I've NEVER been good at math. It's always been my weakest subject. I passed this course w/ flying colors. His methods are different. He only uses Canvas for exams, and it's a lot to take in. But once you get past the initial confusion of his website, it's easy to navigate and the material is easy to learn. Take him if ur bad at math like me

Do your HW and pass his class. It's that simple.

I took this course as a winter intercession online, and I loved it! I am horrible at math, but Prof. Morrissette provides clear and organized lecture material. He shows you how to navigate and work through complex math formulas step by step. DO all the HW and workbook problems, and you will do great on the exam! TAKE HIM. You will not regret it!

I'm a person who thrives on organization and clear expectations and Dr. M's expectations are straightforward. The dates for the assignments and tests are available at the beginning of class so it's no surprise that he doesn't accept late work. I highly recommend taking his class.

I have dropped two Soc/Psyc 205 courses before because the material was difficult to understand but I am doing so well in Dr.M's class! He is very straightforward and has a very clear and easy to navigate online class format. There are 5 question hw due every week. Lectures and computer assignments are simple. Just do the work and you'll pass!

As long as you have a schedule to do things this class is fairly easy. Everything is simple and to the point. There was one 5 question homework assignment's due each week. We had 3 computer assignments and 3 tests. Tests were a little hard even if you study. He doesn't remind you each week to turn things in. Tests were scheduled at 4-6 on a friday.

Math is not my thing so I was scared for the 4 work course over winter break but ended with a B! I respected how incredibly straightforward and easy to navigate everything was.

This is the best online summer math class I've taken. Math is NOT my best subject, but the professor makes this class very easy to follow; he lays everything out for you! DO the HW/ DO the practice worksheet, and you will pass the exam with an A! The exam comes straight from the HW and practice sheets!! Take his class; you will not regret it!

I loved Professor Morrissettes Physiology class, he made the class fun and made it clear on what he wanted us to know for the tests. Although this class in general is challenging, he made it fun and easier to learn. He has videos on canvass that you can rewatch at home in case you need a refresher on the lectures. You just have to study.

It wasn't so bad considering I was terrified to take this class because I truly suck at math. Took the 4 week FT so it was A LOT crammed into a week because the exercises are time consuming. But it really wasn't as bad as expected. His tutorials are straight forward and the class is well organized. Exams dates and time are set and cannot be changed

Dr. M communicates solely through email, he also uses SPSS and Excel for labs , they are easy and straightforward as long as you follow his directions in the videos he provides. Although they are very outdated its still common sense so its easy. He is very nice even though I only emailed him a couple times, highly recommend taking SOC 205 Online.

There really isn't any fluff with Dr. M. Read the syllabus, hit the deadlines, and understand the material. If you have limited experience with excel, then you are already ahead of the game. If you know the formulas to use in excel, like t-test,etc. then you are way better off. If you had prior statistics courses, this would be a refresher course.

Dr. Morrisettes class is very well structured and gives great lectures. You always know what will be on exams, hes really funny, overall great class.

Honestly one of my favorite classes at palomar. Teacher was hilarious which kept me engaged in lectures and labs. I definitely had to work hard for my A but all the information taught was interesting so studying wasn't too bad for me.

There is no professor I recommend more than this guy. He is extremely entertaining and I love his stories he gives, they not only are part of what you learn, but it keeps your attention in tact while you write down what you just learned. DO NOT miss class all information is essential for exams. as long as you listen to lecture u will be fine :)

Prof Morrissette is an excellent teacher. I had to work hard for my A but if you really learn the material and take good notes, you'll be fine! There are 3 exams that you can only take from 6-8 PM on a certain day and you will fail if you miss one. NO late work allowed, he requires you to have a super pricey online program for 3 of the assgnmnts.

I'm still 50/50 on if I liked this professor. The class itself was fine and lectures were fun. If you show up, take notes and ask questions you will probably be fine. Tests/quizzes will really hurt your grade if you bomb them (hence my C).

This class was pretty easy, even though it was taken on a 4-week schedule. The homework/practice problems were clear and understandable, which made preparing for tests a breeze. Some of the instructions for the assignments in a statistical software were outdated.
