Dr. Wainwright is a very good teacher. He knows the class is hard and gives you oppurtunities to bring up your grade. He is very funny and will make you laugh. I suggest anyone take his course.

I wasn't the best in Micro, but this teacher made it more clear to me then any others could, he was so funny he made me laugh. :)

He isn't that funny. In micro biology he doesn't give you any chances to bring your grade up. Labs are easy though. His tests are hard. If you take him your gonna have to study alot. I don't plan on taking him again.

Mr. Wainwright has been working out. He has really nice shoulders and chest. He is very clear during lecture which makes him easy to understand. he is much smarter than he leads on to be. take him, he is great!

He's awesome! He's funny and he's very willing to help. His tests aren't that hard. Just go to class and exam reviews and study lecture notes and you will do fine! I highly recommend him. One of my favorite professors to date.

This was a very interesting class and Wainwright is a great teacher! He is a very laidback and go-with-the-flow kind of person. He is goofy and likes to think of himself as a comedian, which adds to the enjoyment of the class. I would recommend Wainwright to anyone!

I actually enjoyed going to this class. He made the class interesting and I never got bored. As long as you read the book and study what he lectured on, you should do excellent in this class. I definitely recommend taking a class with him.

This guy is a hoot! He's extremely smart and knows what he's talking about but he's not boring at all. You probably don't need to buy the book because his tests comes from the lectures. He's also very fit and has broad shoulders :) I would recommend him to anyone!

I had some initial reservation about the class, but grew to LOVE it and looked forward to attending both lecture and lab. It was not the easiest course I have ever taken, but certainly one of the most interesting and fun! Wainwright is simply a brilliant goofball. He walks into the room without lecture notes or slides; it's all in his head!

His tests are super hard. You must study and study for a week. However you can go to class and take notes but I recommend that you read you book also. I enjoy lab and class. He is interesting and will keep you awake.

I loved his class! He makes the most complicated things VERY easy to understand. He also makes going to class interesting and fun. You must attend to make a good grade. His tests are hard but as long as you study what he lectures over, you should be fine. I plan on taking him for any future science classes. Awesome teacher!

Dr. Wainwright is great!!! He makes Microbioloby interesting and fun. I really enjoyed every aspect of the class/lab. Info learned is not only useful in class, but out of class. If n need a Micro professor, take Dr. Wainwright....you won't regret it!!!

Dr. Wainwright is one of my favorite professors I've ever had at UCA. I actually looked forward to going to class! He taught me Micro and he made me laugh every day. Now thats a great professor.

I am a senior with over 130 hours, and Mr. Wainwright remains my favorite professor I have taken at UCA. He is brilliant, hilarious, and a lot of fun to take a class with. Every teacher needs to be like this. Take him if at all possible.

Dr.Wainwright is a great teacher. What I thought would be a rough and useless summer of classes was acually worth the while. He is a brilliant professor and all of his notes are in his head. Recommend reading the book but most importantly go to class. Great guy and will get to know you. If any bio class is required I definitly recommend Wainwright.

I love Dr. Wainwright. He is a good teacher. His use of "Clyde" is a little weird, but it's okay because he is funny. Gen. Ed. Biology is good with him--his tests are hard though. I never did as well as I thought I would on them, which was a downer. But the class is fun, and you won't regret taking him! I hated biology and I managed with him.

i abolutely hated biology when i came to college and now since i've taken him, i'm majoring in it. i absolutly loved his class! he never takes attendance but i loved going bc he is so funny and makes biology enjoyable to listen to. he's definatly my favorite prof by far and i HIGHLY recommend.

Wainwright is wonderful. Everyone says that he is a great teacher and he is. His lectures cover everything. I opened my book once during the semester. Not only is he a good professor he is a great man. He stands his ground and keeps his head up. He is willing to help anyone if they just ask. We ate lunch with him a few times in the caf. Great Guy!

This was like having Billy Bob Thorton for a professor! He is a cowboy who likes to talk about his peach trees and crack deadpan jokes. He speaks in plain English with analogies that are funny and helpful. He is also very open to ideas. When we had a debate in class over evolution and creation, he stepped aside with a grin and let the students

Don't get me wrong anat+Phys is extremely hard and you have to learn what he teaches, but he tries to make it as easy for you as possible. He could probably be on of the most understanding teachers at UCA. He may not change your grade but he will do everything he can to make it so that you do.

He is a good teacher but his test are kinda hard. He covers the whole chapter on his tests so just make sure to read the book and you will do great. Over all he is a good teacher.

I was very agitated to learn he is not actually a doctor though he let us call him "Dr. Wainwright" all semester! Class isn't bad, and he offered extra credit the year I took it. Have to review notes, more than read to do well. The next time I see him I'll be sure to address him as "Mr." instead of doctor, but would take him again.

A misogynistic but exorbitant sense of humor, dance moves, a fictitious character named Clyde, and real life examples of concepts (watermelons and pleurisy are forever merged in my mind) combined to make this class absolutely delightful! He encourages discussion and argument, yet still manages to cover all material. Will try to get him again!

One of the best professors at UCA. Breaks the complicated things down so you can understand them, makes practical, relevant connections, and also offers great wisdom throughout the class. Tests are difficult (multiple choice--ie. a and d, all of the above, none of the above, etc.), but if you really study, you'll do fine. Learned a ton, Clyde.

I really just threw some chilli peppers just for Wainwright! Cool dance moves, and makes the class interesting when its not! Refers to you as Clyde about half of the time! Come to class because notes are useful for studying for the test. Go to labs too. If you do the work he gives you full credit! Learned alot... CLYDE!!

I took Wainwright for S&F I & II during the summer and loved him! He's very helpful and you can do well on the tests if you just pay attention and take notes! First semester, I hated him. He's hard and moves quickly and talks like a hick, but I learned a LOT. This semester, he's one of my favorite professors. He won't remind you to read the chapters, but it's extremely helpful and so are the powerpoints students do for points. Study with the book and especially the notes! I highly recommend him.

Wainwright has really hard tests, mostly because of the amount of material that he covers. If you come to class, take good notes, and study those notes often you will do fine. If you don't take detailed notes then this class will be tough. Mostly all of the test material is from the notes in class. I would definitely take him again.

I took Wainwright back in 20072008. I loved him so much, I wanted to check back up on him. He's the most amazing teacher and made learning fun again. I looked forward to going to classes, and I actually learned a lot. He is full of knowledge and is the coolest, laid back professor. I wish I was 20 again so I could have him again. Hope this helps!

Dr. Wainwright was awesome! Took him in Spring 2015. I loved his class and I would take him again in a heartbeat. Class wasn't easy; you will have to put in a good amount of work to make a good grade, but it is so worth it when you start understanding everything he talks about. The stuff he taught me has really helped! Great sense of humor.

Wainwright is very knowledgeable, teaches well, and is always willing to help. But, just because there is so much information to learn the tests are hard.

Wainwright is hilarious. Just a little tip, listen to his songs on Broadjam. He sometimes has random lyrics on tests as bonus questions he'll want the title for so get familiar with them.

I absolutely loved Wainwright! This is the first professor I've had at UCA (besides Dr. Bolter) that has made me strive to succeed. Yes his class is hard if you don't pay attention and don't take notes. That's really all it takes! Paying attention! His tests try to trick you so read carefully and pay attention!

He is a great teacher. He is also very funny. I gave him a pepper because he complained a few times throughout the semester that no one ever gives him a pepper on here. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Honestly, this was probably my favorite class of my college career. Is he a good teacher? yeah. Will you learn? most def. He wants you to understand the information not just spit-up what you read. Wainwright was an awesome teacher! He is absolutely hilarious! I took both BIOL 2406/2407 with him over the summer, so it was a massive amount of material to learn. His tests can be tricky, but he drills the information into your mind so you'll never forget it! He also gives the chance for bonus on each test if you argue that a question was unfair.

Entertaining lecture and cool material. He's ok to take, youll learn alot but his tests are unneccesarily hard- he words things like A and b are wrong but c may be right, like what? if you start studying the material day by day youll have it. He mentioned he checked this site and wonders why he doesnt have a chili pepper( it's your tests yo).

My favorite professor to date. He's funny and his corny jokes help with remembering facts. His test are very tricky(all multiple choice), but if you take your time, read through each answer, and use process of elimination you'll be able to decipher his tricks. I recommend rewriting notes from lecture and reading them over until you grasp it.

Hardest class I've ever taken! But, I learned so much. Dr. Wainwright is willing to help those who ask. You have to attend all labs to make a decent grade; don't skip! Bonus points are offered, but you have to raise your hand to get them. Tests are very hard, but the labs and bonus help make up for the poor test grades. He is very willing to help.

Professor Wainwright has his own method of teaching that really worked for me. He doesn't use PowerPoints or notes to teach, he teaches from memory and writes everything on the chalkboard. He tells jokes in class that most of us find funny. Points come from labs and tests. Overall this was an easy class, just study your notes for the tests.

My most favorite biology professor at UCA!! He makes jokes to help with remembering stuff and he lectures from complete memory. I took this class with a different prof and didn't pass. I easily passed with Wainwright as the teacher. He explains everything in detail to make sure you understand. I can't wait to take him for S&F 2 and micro!

I graduated last semester but needed Structure and Function 1 and 2 for PA school so I took Wainright during the summer. I am SOOO upset that it took me this long to sign up for one of his courses. He is by far my favorite professor at UCA. The course is very time consuming but his lectures are interesting and his exams are straight forward.

Dr. Wainwright is probably one of the best instructors Ive ever had. He tells you from the jump that this class is going to be very difficult and unlike anything youve taken. That being said, the labs are interesting and enjoyable and the material he presents is cool if youre into science. Be prepared to study and work your behind off.

This is a fun class, however EVERYTHING is up for grabs for his tests, so pay attention. He does 4-5 test and attendance. That is it. Pay attention and try your best to study. It is a hard, and I mean hard class, but it was my favorite class. And he is just a fun guy to be around.

Didnt know he was a Dr until the end of term. This speaks to his personality, he doesnt have a huge ego he really is just there to spread the knowledge. Dr. Wainright really is too smart for his own good and this can be difficult in times during class because he will wander into a tangent. nonetheless, you will get the grade you deserve

Dr. Wainwright reminds me of a movie character. He has a good personality and manages to make me laugh in every class I have with him. He is really a great professor that shows a lot of sympathy for students. Yes, his class is difficult, but its A&P so it should be difficult to prepare you with knowledge that you need in your career. Wainwright is literally the best! His class is hard and has a ton of material so study hard. The audio books are almost exactly the same as his lectures. He gives you the opportunity to make a textbook for 30 bonus points and it helps your grade a lot! He is super funny and gives you everything you need to succeed if you put in the work.

Fun class, overall not too hard if you put in effort to get the extra credit which he gives a lot of. An A is very much possible and not out of reach for the average student. Show up to class and lab, pay attention, put in maybe an hour of effort out of class each day and you'll do great in this class.

Wainwright's BIO2411 is a challenging but rewarding class. While lectures can be tangent-heavy, his humor makes it enjoyable. Thorough note-taking and unstuck AI for study prep are key to success.

I enjoyed having him as a professor and honestly miss his lectures and labs. Yes, the exams are hard, but if you study as soon as you get new notes then you'll be fine. DO the textbook extra credit and GO to all labs. TAKE notes during labs and audio books. Look up Wainwright microbiology and you'll find all the quizlets you need to pass, use them!

His class was my favorite I have ever taken. If you put in the work, you will succeed. He was understanding, helpful, and a clear teacher. His tests were challenging in ways, but not at all impossible. Do the extra credit! He is organized and tells you exactly how to succeed. Do as he says and you will make a good grade!
