Great professor! He is very caring and understanding. Only three tests for the semester but grades on huge curves. I am receiving a 100+ grade in the class. Is willing to work with you as much as possible so you can get an 'A'. I would recomend any class taught by this professor.

Professor Watts is a great professor. You can pass the class halfway through the course. He offers two extra credit assignments, extra credit on the tests, and extra credit for doing better on assignments. I did it and have passed the class after the second of the three tests.

Mr. Watts keeps the class interesting. The class is not easy, but due to the opportunities for xtra credit he provides, it's actually possible to get an A without EITHER writing the term paper OR taking the final exam. It's all where you choose to earn your points, tests, papers, or EC. Failure to succeed in his class is entirely your fault.

Easy!!!! The teacher is very inspring when it comes to this subject. He goes by points, so if you get 15 out of 30 on a test, you get 15 points to your total, not a 50%. It took me 4 weeks to hit 96 points and get an A. After that all you have to do is show up and do the online modules. No final, mid term, or tests left.

If you put 100% into this class you will have your A 6 weeks prior to semester end,with no paper or final to do. His tests are NO joke! Another great professor at SPC. He has power points to use for each religion. You need 96 points to get an A. So if you do good on the first and second test and do extra credit you dont have to do the final. He is a very good professor quick at replying to emails, but do know your vocabulary for the tests!

I took him for Intro to Philosophy and I absolutley loved it! He's extremely helpful and returns emails promptly. As long as you post every week and actually try in his class, you will have no problem getting an A without having to do a final or term paper! Highly recommend!

Roger Watts is one of the greatest professors I've ever had! He really cares about his students, and his sole interest as an educator is to broaden their awareness of the field of philosophy. He goes out of his way to make the learning process as easy as possible so that his students are able to gain as much knowledge from his lectures as possible.

This Professor is awesome! He goes out of his way to help students, directions are crystal clear. You have to read the chapters, there's no way around it. Got an A, so didn't have to take the Final exam! You have to discussion post and reply back, write paragraphs about each chapter(there is 12), quiz on each chapter, and 4 major tests(open book)!

I took a blended world religions class a couple years ago and he was AWESOME!! Helps with anything you need help with, as long as you ask. I had his class on Monday nights and I looked forward to it! I wasn't to happy about taking world religions, but Mr. Watts mad it fun for us. He was very helpful if you get stuck, like I did. After taking this class I understand religion more. He uses the book very much, a lot of reading, you must stay on top of the work. If you apply yourself you will pass. after all the teacher cant do it all for you.

The religion topic can be very controversial but he took the time to help his students be more understanding and open-minded to the general population. If you don't mind reading a lot, and are looking for a relatively easy A class, he's good. Multiple times to take all tests. Plenty of extra credit. Flexible with attendance. A lot of material covered in a short amount of time though, so it can be hard to actually feel like you genuinely learned about the religions, just a basic overview.

Easy A. 5 tries per quiz with 10 questions. Online Midterm and Final with 3 attempts. Everything is open book. 2 short papers(600 words) and you get 50 extra points for perfect attendance. Lectures are hilarious and never boring. He genuinely wants his students to succeed and gives to every opportunity to do so. You can also work ahead.

This is my second time taking Watts and I finished his class with both A's. His world religions class is easier and has seven DFs, thirteen quizzes, two writing assignments, midterm and final are online and OPEN BOOK! Perfect attendance extra credit. He truly cares and will work with the class on extension dates. Take him you won't regret it.

Took blended class, half online half in person. AMAZING PROFESSOR! Really cares about his students and their education. BUT the online quizzes are not the easiest, the textbook makes it easier. The vocab quizzes are worded weirdly and hard to answer. The vocab bank for the quiz answers has less words than there are fill in the blank questions.

This is 100% a participation-based course. Yeah there's the textbook, homework and papers, but the REAL learning happens IN CLASS facilitated by the professor and procured by the class. Hes very gifted at lecturing and is super insightful. A true scholar with great ethics and understanding. Hes fair and honest. However, his vocabulary tests are very difficult. Theyre like crossword puzzles, and are mostly over 50 questions. The homework was hard to keep up with and the tests were long. You definitely have to work for your A.

Absolutely incredible professor. VERY fair grader. You put in work, you get a good grade. You don't, you get a sub-par grade. The discussions are probably the most difficult part of the PHI 1010 class, and they are also the most heavily weighted. If you have trouble writing, I don't recommend taking it. I don't however, and I LOVED the class.

Took him in the summer 575 term. You can work ahead in the course ; he actually opened the course a week early to get a head start. He grades by points not percentage. Just do the quizzes and the writing assignments accordingly and you're golden. Spoke with him once over the phone and he's very wise and understanding with a great sense of humor.

Do the work and get a good grade. One discussion post per week and a quiz. Hes very relaxed with due dates and the quizzes dont need to be completed until the end of the semester. The discussion post criteria are vague so its your job to be creative about the topic and make sure you PARTICIPATE IN THE POST! Thats what he looks for. Take him!!

Professor Watts is one of my favorites. There is a lot of work but he is a super easy grader. There are weekly discussion posts (200-word minimum) and quizzes. However, he will take all work late. Quizzes are open book along with the midterm and final (all online). There are two papers but if turned in early he will review and let you resubmit.

I liked this professor. There is a textbook because I took it online, but it isn't hard. The class is mainly discussion posts, a few dropboxes, and 15 question quizzes. During finals/the end he gave people extra credit points depending on their level of participation in the discussion posts. There is a lot of focus on your perspective and opinion.

Graded based on discussion posts weekly during the first half of the semester, then about a discussion post every other week during the second half of the semester. He grades relatively easy and accepts late work without late penalties. Research paper for midterm and final, which is about 600 words and doesn't take very long. Easy class.
