Mr. Martin is a GREAT teacher!!! he is real nice,and is ALWAYZ there to help, u can go by his office ANY time and he'll always be there to help you, seriously. he treats all his students with ALOT of respect.i've taken him 2 semesters in a row and plan on taking him for another 2.

I really like him. He gives fun probability examples in class.

If you hate math you should take his class. He makes the hardest things seem simple. Great teacher!!! Nice guy!!!

He doesn't take his time in teaching his class. He goes through his lessons very fast. I think he needs to slow down just a bit. I am interested in learning,but he is intirely too fast paced. He is a good teacher, but needs to slow down just a bit.

First off, "I hate Math", but this guy is awesome, he taught me math w/out the aide of a calculator. Was very surprised by the simplicity in which he explains things, I'm sure he hides a set of wings under those sweater vest. Now this is what you call a real teacher.

I think he goes a bit fast in his class but he is extremely helfpul if you take the time to stop by his office, if you are struggling. I hate math and always have. Mr Martin is a great teacher.....just slow down please!

the teacher for people who dont understand math. i am awful at math and i got an A. i made my first 100 on a math test ever. great teacher, makes thing simple, no calculator needed! highly highly recommended. i understood things 4 yrs of highschool never taught me.

Although I have not been in school for almost ten years Dr. Martin made things very easy for me. He is a cool teacher and I would recommend his class to everyone.

Awesome Math teacher! He does not go onto the next lesson until everyone understands the previous one. He's very clear, and does not rush. If you do your homework and come to class everyday, you should have no problem with the class. And he's always in his office when you need him.

Mr. Martin is the best. He teaches in a unique way. I picked up on material that I could not pick up on in high school. I strongly reccommend that you take class under this guy. He's BRILLIANT!

I am not mathematically inclined; however, I found Mr. Martin to be quite pleasant and helpful. His ability to explain things in such a fundamental way along with his sense of humor make his class worthwhile for those who need to get their math courses out of the way. I would highly recommend him. Just show him respect and he will do the same.

Mr. Martin made math very easy to understand. He broke it down so well that I didn't even know I was doing math because I was enjoying it THAT much. He's a great professor who really cares about his students. TAKE HIM. I wish I could have taken him for Math 121, but unfortunately, he only teaches Math 007 and Math 124. =[

Mr. Martin makes math understandable. I would not have made it without him. You can tell how much he loves teaching. I am taking Math121 with him next semester. If you are not strong in math, I suggest you take his classes. If you show up, pay attention, and take good notes, you will pass.

I am highly allergic, disturbed by, hate, cannot deal with algerbra....I have one degree and am getting another and am so excited to be in his class to get through this math mess. He is so helpful and patient, and his jokes are cheesy....but when my goal is to succeed who cares, that makes it so much more fun. He is a great caring professor!

I took him for Math 007 and loved him so I decided to take him again for Math 121 since math isnt my best subject and he tends to explain it well. I couldnt of made it thru Math 121 without him. Mr. Martin teaches at a snail's pace and is very easy to follow; anybody that can't do well in his class shouldn't be in college. Definitely taking him for 121.

Mr. Martin was a great teacher. He helps all his students with anything he can. As long as you do homework & tests for him you will pass. He goes over all homework, before the time to turn it in.

So i hate matha with a passion and i want to die when im in his class. although he is seriosuly a incredible teacher. really he is he cares with for his students. he is willing to help and his test are all hand written. Do the homework and you have to show up for class to gety a good grade.

Hands down the best teacher I have ever had. He always takes as much time as needed to explain, genuinely cares about his students and builds relationships with them, creates a wonderful learning environment. He made math understandable and enjoyable. I'd take all my maths from him if it were possible. He's really an amazing teacher and person.

Very cool and helpful

He has a great sense of humor, and is very entertaining. However, he often asks students questions he knows they do not have the answer to in order to make them look stupid. VERY hard tests, and harsh grading. I would not take him if I were you.

I did not like math at all but when i took his class i considered being a math teacher. but since he cant be my teacher for life than never mind. overall the tests can be hard if you dont study- like me. But hes a great teacher. My favorite.

I had Professor Martin for Math 007 and 121 and he was a very patient, understanding teacher. Cheesy jokes and dresses like Mr. Rogers but fashion aside, he is a great teacher who is always willing to help out a student who needs it!

He is great. Even if you are old and rusty when it comes to math, he is great. He is very patient and will explain it if you ask him to. Even on the test day he will explain the material if you go to his office.

Really good instructor, Very helpful and will answer any and all questions you might have.

All of his tests are online. He gives three attempts and takes the final one as a grade. This class is an easy A if you practice on Hawkes, complete all of the assignments, and attend class. He cares about every individual, but be prepared to be called on in class to answer questions no one will know!

Not great at math, but he definitely made it super understandable. Take the notes, do your homework, ask questions and there is no reason why you should not make a high grade in his class.

He breaks everything down. If you've never REALLY understood math take him. Yes, he does take the whole class to explain something but you'll gain so much from it.

He's a very good Professor, he knows his stuff. I can't say I like the class seeing as how I hate math but he does know what he's doing. The only annoying thing is that he does sometimes try to keep us over time. Other than that no complaints.

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to math so I can't say it was easy. But He didn't make things more difficult than they had to be. If you don't like being called on to answer, don't take him. He likes to poke fun at everyone so don't take him if you're overly sensitive. My biggest complaint it that the homework software was ridiculous

He is adorable. This class is so easy that it can be difficult. Do the homework and go to class and you can make an A. He likes to throw in a definition every now and then on exams so read over those. He likes to make really lame jokes which is my kind of humor so I enjoyed the class. Some days it can drag on, but you can do it!

Mr. Martin is a very knowledgeable instructor. He is sincerely interested in making sure his students know the material. He presents it in a excellent format with a little humor. He is always available before and after class to help help clarify anything you might have a problem with or a question about. I recommend him.

Mr. R Matin really cares about the student and if they are getting the lesson or not. He will do whatever he can possible to help you and make sure you are not falling behind.....AS LONG AS YOU GO TO CLASS AS YOU SHOULD! I certainly appriciated him over the Summer semester since class was in 8 weeks vs 16 weeks.

Math is this professors calling. Freshman seminar is not. Class was a mixture of him reading from power points and guest lecturers from other departments attempting to recruit to their program. He did assign some in class group work, so class attendance is mandatory. This was probably the most uninteresting, monotonous course I have taken to date.

I hate everything about Math. Never was good at it. Mr. Martin explains things well and with clarity. I don't need any more math classes, but I wish I would have taken him for 121. You'll be glad you took Martin.

Mr. Martin is SERIOUSLY the professor to take if you aren't good at math. He is very patient and will stay on a problem if no one understands. I'm really bad at math and made a B in his class. You actually look forward going to his class too! Very nice guy! Provides lots of opportunities to bring up your grade as well.

Professor Martin is an amazing math instructor! Not only does he know and love the material, ha can teach! I've always dreaded math, until his course. You will have to use the book. You will have to do your homework. You will have to put forth some effort. But he has a way of explaining the material like no other teacher I've encountered. !!!!!!!!!

I have him for FS 104 and this is the EASIEST class I have ever taken! There are no problems with his class at all. It might seem redundant, but you know the material afterwards

Best math teacher I've ever had and I usually do not get math as well as I did with him. He makes learning math laid back. Gives around 4 tests the whole semester, lets you keep the tests, final comes straight from old test questions. Tells you the answers to the homework before you turn it in! Gives one prject but very easy! Loved him!

Mr. Martin is the nicest, most understanding math teacher you may ever have. The class is pretty fast paced so if you dont read through your notes or practice It'll get tough because he'll keep moving on. Hawkes was my life saver for my grade and for a better underatanding of all the math problems. As long as you stay on top of the work easy A/B

Great teacher, he actually cares about you learning. He covers a lot of ground during his lectures, but he is willing to stop and work out multiple example problems with the class. Lays out what he expects, and is a fair grader.

By far the best college algebra teacher at LSUS. Be prepared to be called on in class. He's a funny guy, and he cares about his students. Don't be afraid to ask him for help. Attendance is not mandatory but you need to attend class to get an A.

Not the easiest class but he's a great teacher. Make sure you show up. There's a new topic every day. H makes sure everyone understands the problem before moving on. You need textbook for Hawkes online access. Also does hw problems out of book. Easy to find outside of class. Extremely caring and can tell when somethings wrong, although he's strange

I loved having Mr. Martin. He says the same jokes almost every single day, and he looks like the old man from Up. He is super sweet, you have to go to class and pay attention to do good. Redo the Hawkes assignments because thats where he gets the test questions from. If you study, its super easy to pass, but you have to do your part.

If you need a math to graduate, this is absolutely the one to take. Yes, you have to put in some effort, but if you do, you'll easily earn an A. The grades were both tests and homework. He's funny and quircky and so sweet. He does call on people but he doesn't care about your answer as long as you participate. I'm so glad I took him.

Class was HARD. However, Mr. Martin is a great professor and our senses of humor clicked from day 1. DO THE HAWKES ASSIGNMENTS! They will jump your grade. Also, he has office hours so if you have a concern utilize them. No calculators during test was difficult. Overall, good man, unsure if I'd take again.

Really great professor but expects you to remember everything from high-school algebra. He explains things very well and uses examples from the textbook, but those are easy. The tests and Hawkes are the only grades. The tests are difficult and mainly from Hawkes, but don't forget to go over the notes and textbook. The tests are 10x harder.

Dr. Martin is hilarious! He does call on students to participate. He doesn't care what yo say as long as you participate. He calls his tests "grade building opportunities" to make them seem less scary. This class was basically a review for me from Algebra 2 and Pre-calculus in high school so the class was easy! I highly recommend!

Mr. Martin is the best professor to take. He is fun and makes the class enjoyable. He does call on people in the class for partcipation, but he does not shame you if you answer incorrectly. He is one of the most outgoing professors I have, and I absoulutely love him.

His hand writings are hard to understand and he usually call you out randomly a lot and you would mostly not understand what he is asking but besides that he is sweet and funny and if you keep up with his work you would pass talking about this rn I forgot to do his hw and got a 59% in his class lmao

The dude is super cool and engaging. He calls on everyone no matter how hard you try to hide. It is heavy with homework but it kinda has to be because you're gonna need it. The homework sucks bc he sometimes has stuff due before he has taught it. Overall not that bad of a class and would for sure take him again.

The actual course's math is easy, but the Achieve system made things very difficult. His lectures don't line up with what's in the book, so make sure to read the textbook! You can get easy 100's on homework if you work in groups.

Can't give enough good feedback about Mr.Martin. Class is really easy, but it is best to attend to hear how to work out the problems from him and how to truly understand them. Only downside I didn't like was that he works EVERYTHING out, when I prefer shortcuts. All of his assignments are easy, so very easy A or B. Very easy to contact out of class

i took martin my freshman year math. i bombed hs math so this made me anxious, but he was understanding. he values you seeing him out of class and would ask me how i did on exams. asking him things out of class and proof i did tutoring (that didnt work) allowed him to see i was hardworking and he let me pass the lab using my recourses. hes cool
