This class is very imformative when it comes to the historyn and background about buildings and architects. The professor does long lectures but he really gets into what he is lecturing as if he was preaching in church which makes the students actually interested with what he has to say.

Ro cares for every student and is always there if you need him. He sacrafices a great amount of his own time for students to work in class outside of classtime. He's my favorite professor for sure.

Rolando L. Gonzalez is honestly one of the best professors. He's very helpful and as long as you come to class and participate, passing should not be a problem. However, there is a large amount of work involved within his classes, so be prepared to work. It's not hard, simply time consuming. Always multiple people available to help you out.

I really like how he incorporates drawings with his lectures, being that I am a visual learner. The tests are not difficult at all if you pay attention in lecture and study. I passed with a B and study 30 minutes for each test because I took good, additional notes.

The class is outlined so you know when things are due and when tests are coming up, he also gives you the lecture notes so all you have to do is mange your time and its an easy A.

He gives you a packet of notes before every lecture, and he goes through them line by line and clarifies hard-to-understand material. If you study the packet of notes thoroughly, you'll get great grades on the quizzes. He made the history of architecture super interesting, and I usually don't find history enjoyable myself.

You are giving lecture notes that has exactly everything that will be on the quizzes. Attend class to know the major things that will be in class and you should do fine. You are not forced to learn the criteria Ro makes it so interesting you want to learn.

For Arch Hist. 1, the schedule is Lecture-Quiz, Lecture-Quiz, Lecture-Quiz. Very easy class. Basically show up, pay attention, and you'll pass no problem. Very little time needed to study. Lectures are easy to remember. Would definitely take this class again.

Overall was a great class. Should have been an easy A but I didn't sudy and now I know for future classes. The history that was lectured in this class was very fascinating I enjoyed learning all the old architecture.

Great Professor but he is very tough on grading and is strict with deadlines

Great Professor, just a whole lot of work that requires time and can easily become a class you fail if you don't keep up with the work. The deadlines are specific, but he does give a chance to turn in work late but it's only till the next class. If you try to turn it in later, he won't take the assignment.

I would recommend this class if you are striving to become an architect. This class has very different assignments where you are required to use your critical thinking skills and creativity. Most important you need to perfect your time management.

The critiques were beneficial because he gave a lot of helpful feedback and input. There's always room for improvement with projects. The class is lecture heavy at the start, but there is a lot of time to work on projects afterwards.

Overall it was a very informative class, I learned great information that for sure will be used for future classes and in general in my career.
