He has a real passion for what he does, he's also incredibly entertaining
Rollnd is a great teacher and amazingly entertaining!!! He is very funny and keeps you laughing....
Petrello kicks ass!!! The best/funniest Speach teacher EVER! He loves what he does.
Nice guy.. kind of a smart ass but funny. Not tough at all. He gives out two extra credit assignments worth 50 points. Only bummer is worksheets from the workbook. He's picky about the answers.
A real jackass to you outside of class. Intimidating. Some times class would last about 10 minutes, a real waste of gas to drive up there.
As if public speaking wasn't hard enough, this guy is intimidating and rude. I disliked this class. I don't think it's right to make fun of students.
Good prof really cool. I took him for spch 25 and was thankful to get a C but then this hot chick persuaded me to take him for spch 26 so I did, I should have gotten an A but I got a B. It averaged out tho. spch 26 REALLY ez
he is eccentric, and the essays were tough. I got an A, but I worked really hard on the essays. Most of my friends didn't do as well. He is sometimes funny, and then sometimes you want to smack him. He is nice, until you ****him off (bad temper)
This guy is cruel. He grades extremely hard on the speeches and worksheets, and makes fun of people in class. Only the people he likes pass the class. This guy is the worst professor I have ever had. He is extreamly rude and very unapprochable.
This guy sucks. He is a mean arrogant man who plays favorites. He is very picky on homework and speeches.
rolland is one of the most intelligent people i've ever met, and a teacher who truly loves to teach. his classes will never make you fall asleep.
I loved this class and I was terrified of speaking in public. Rolland is patient and funny and makes you feel at ease the first day of class.
I swear this guy is ****, but covers it up by saying he is married on the first day. A true dork that thinks he's cool. The only cool thing was you get a B as long as you do all of the speeches.
hes a fun teacher, but definitly a smart ass. he plays favorites. His grading on speeches is kinda unfare, he tells u, u dont have to memories them, but then marks you down for looking at your note cards.
cool teacher who made a scary class fun. tons of xtra credit. almost everyone got b's or a's
I was afraid of this class and Roland started the first class cracking jokes and made it easy. He's cool and willing to help outside of class.
So that automatic B thing as long as you do all the work, BullSh*t...He mentions that on the first day and I did all the work and got a C. He grades extremely hard.
Don't get behind. He is nice if you befriend him. The class has interesting material. He has alot of experience in speech. Not an easy A.
Cool class. Lots of movies and slideshows (ads, etc...) Got a new perspective on pop culture. He knows his s***, and is funny.
Not an easy class, but worth it. Lots of cool insights and you get to rewrite bad essay
Easy to get along with. Knows how to motivate people on the speech team.
he has guidelines and as long as you follow them guaranteed a B, main thing to concentrate on is staying within time limits. overall easy going teacher, funny, but can be intimidating at times. easy class alot of xtra credit.
Rolland is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you are looking for someone to pass you for doing nothing, he is not for you. I learned so much about communicating effectively and had fun in class. If you can handle a little work, he is for you.
The easiest class i have ever taken. I hate public speaking, did before the clas and still do. I got an A because he recognizes and rewards effort. Plus he is the funniest and most entertaining teacher ive ever had.
Great teacher, very animated and enthusiastic about the course! As long as you invest in the class, he will invest his time into helping you succeed!
This class was great...i hate public speaking but he made it not so bad. He is extremely sarcastic and made the class fun to go to. He is kind of a hard grader but as long as you do all the work he says he will give you a B. I thought it was a pretty easy class.
He is a very funny teacher and the class is interesting, but he doesn't always explain things very well. Also, make sure you write down everything he says...it will be on the midterm.

i think he has to be the worst teacher to have ever taught in the history of all teachers! He should be seriously reviewed for his lack of teaching! He needs therapy!
Amazing teacher! By far the best teacher I have had at this school! He enjoys teaching and he actually makes public speaking fun! He believes in passing students on a good faith effort basis, he wants you to succeed! Don't listen to students who say otherwise, take his class!
He rocks! The class is cool and easy. Though I don't think I'll ever look at TV the same. Rolland's also the funniest teacher ever.
I put off taking this class and now I don't know why. He made the class interesting and fun. I was still REALLY nervous about speaking and didn't do too hot on the speeches, but I still got an A 'cuz of all the extra credit. Highly recommend.
Cool Teacher. Easy Class. Lots of Extra Credit.
Plays favorites. I got a B when I know I should have gotten an A.
An engaging, clever, and friendly teacher. I was scared to speak in public but he does a great job of putting people at ease and creating a comfortable environment. If he asks you to join the speech team, don't think about it - JUST DO IT. He has an amazing eye for talent.
Took him in Summer School, he was a pretty funny teacher. He was grading pretty easy, and he has some B rule, where if you just at least try on all speeches you get a B. I ended up getting a A (i think i really got a B, but he bumped me up) nice guy if you can get past his personality.
This class rocks and so does Petrello. Favorite class I ever took
Roland str8 up rocks. Talk about a speech class with style ;) If you are a serious student who does not like to speak, this man will show you how it is done and done well. You will do well if you are willing to put the effort and arent a flake.
I took speech over summer and i must say i was scared at first but the first day of class he showed us it was goin to be a fun class. funny man has alot of funny stories about previous speeches.has a thing where if you try your best on all the speeches and have perfect attendance you get no lower than a "B" great sense of humor. best speech teacher
Awesome class do the extra credit I got C's and B's on the speeches but with extra credit I got over 100% unfortunately it'll cost you around ten bucks all of which goes to the speech and debate team. Clear outline of what to do and what he wants only difficulty is choosing topics. Make sure to do every part of a speech dont forget the pre/review
While he is a decent instructor, personality wise he might rub you the wrong way. Tends to play favorites, especially with the girls/women (if you know what I mean). Classes are good though, if you dig corny jokes, and a bit of an ego, but a "worth your money" class, take this guy. At least he doesn't **** you and seems to care about teaching.
He's funny and helps keep you interested, even if you hate public speaking. And as long as you atleast attempt everything you get a B in the class.

Good Teacher. Easy going.
Rolland is amazing!
Yes, he is fun etc... but very tough grader. And his jokes seem to be so corny at times. He is just too... bouncy for my taste. Too pretentious, I would say, as if he is constantly wearing a mask. Great perfectionist. But great speaker. All right teacher.
Not really a speech class, turned out to be a pop culture class. Watched videos and movies. Cool teacher, pretty easy, just attend and u should be fine.

Hard class but grading was fair. only 3 essays and 1 presentation you can read it. Big curve on tests.
was in forensics for two years. He's the best. He worked hard to help me get scholarships. THe only people he favors are those that work hard (and I'm male).
Dude rocks! Took him for two classes this semester and I'm signed up for next semester again - don't even remember what for - who cares. He's the best!
Awesome guy. Took him for 3 classes now. Got 2 A's and i think this is gunna be a B. But he's a really good teacher for all the classes taht he teaches. Pretty funny and entertaining. Knows what hes talking about. BEWARE, he may make fun of you..but its all in good fun.
hate giving speeches but loved the class. He made the class fun and I got a lot better at speeches. I'm taking him again for pop culture...
Best class ever! Really easy but you'll never look at TV or music the same way again. It also helps he's really funny!
speech is the worst class in GE but he makes it fun and livable. if you really put forth effort and try every speech you can get a B, even if your speeches suck. I would definately take a class from him again.
Petrello is hilarious and there's a very good class environment. The only down side is that he takes forever to grade and his tests are random and subjective.
boring and pointless. easy grader but waste of my time. didn't challenge my brain at all.
if you have to take this class take roland. any teacher who lets you call them by their first name is chill. getting up in front of the class isn't easy, but he jokes a lot to lighten the mood. its pretty hard to fall asleep in this class cause he keeps you involved with his stories/enthusiasm. take him.
take this class in the summer. Its 4 days a week for 4 weeks and you almost always get to leave early. 6 speeches, if you at least try your best and show up for class on time, you can get a B even if your speech sucked. He is a little annoying and pretty fond of himself but if speech isn't your major, then get it over with quickly!
really cool class. lots of movies and commercials and ads that you have to look at. He knows his sh** pretty well but will listen to what you think too. And some of the time he's really funny and doesn't mind if you talk sh** back.
Boring!! Thinks he is funny but is not!! I would take a different class! Comments on speech arenot helpful and he is not a good teacher! he thinks he gets off topic way to much!! Get out early everyday!
He explains things well and has lots of examples and alot of them are funny. He seems sorta hard to approach at first, but he's helped me everytime I've gone to see him. I was terrified of this class but I learned alot for him and it's helped me in my other classes too. Highly reccomend!
Great teacher. Easy class. Not as stressful as you would expect. Makes class interesting, and simple. You hardly ever have to stay the whole time. Take his class!
He always thought he was funny, but really just quite annoying. You think you are doing really well in his class, but really he just grades hard and is a jerk. I had some pretty darn good speeches , and he gave me low grades on them. Just do all the extra credit and homework.
Awesome Teacher. Would definitely recommend taking his class. Gives you your speech, then a month or so to do it. Very helpful. If you attend class for the most part and do the homework, you are pretty much guaranteed a B in the class. I was nervous about taking speech, but he makes the class fun and not as nervewrecking.
Loves what he does and is honest and fair with how your speech went. Picks on people, but hey its funny! Offers extra credit and is 100% fair with grading. 2 absences or less and a guaranteed b in the class! Loved it but hated public speaking and still do!
Great teacher and really funny. he made going to class kind of fun i guess. Great personality and has a review session before the midterm and the final and u can use ur study guide! take this class... but be aware you will be writing essays about really boring Speeches
He tells you how to give a good speech. He grades fairly, and so long as you try you will get at least a C, but more than likely it'll be a B. I would have gotten a B, except I went to every class, which bumped me up to an A. Take him if you want to actually learn how to give a speech.
Pop Culture rocks. Easy class but you talk about relevant stuff and you get to say what you think without him telling you what to think. He's cool and usually funny. Lots of good movies too
i took pop culture and speech. both classes i got a B in and probably didn't deserve those grades! Pop culture= easiest class of my life. speech with him was great, he didn't care if you sucked at public speaking or not, he cared if you listened to how to present your speech. i HATE public speaking but found taking him made it easier on me.TAKE HIM
This guy is an easy grader but it takes certain personality to stand him. He loves to hear himself talk. I will not deny his grading is fair but he just thought he knew everything. He comes off as a jerk sometimes, so if you can bare that take the grade.
he is a really good teacher and really funny but when it comes to his personality hes kind of a jerk its hard to ask him questions during his officers he can be really rude too but other than that he is a good teacher for the most part and he does like to hear himself talk alot he always makes fun of people when they are late.
Take this class if you want an easy and fun A. You don't really ever have to go to class except for the days you are watching videos, but almost everyone shows up anyways cause the class discussions are really interesting. I though I did bad on our midterm so I went to the extra credit (worth 50 points) but ended up getting 102/100 on it! DO IT!
You are better off taking a real English class with a real English Professor! You don?t really know how you're doing in the class until he posts grades, and he makes it seem like the class is a breeze during lecture, but his grading doesn't reflect it. You can take him for pop culture and advanced public speaking.. But not this class! DONT DO IT!
Great teacher, even better coach. Take his class, especilly pop culture.
took him for speech and pop culture. such a fun class! never takes attendance but i really enjoy going to every class. super funny, talks about real issues and raises important questions that really motivate you to learn. i would take another class from rolland if i could. really nice teacher, ive never had a problem getting an A
he pretty much rocks
This is the best teacher I have ever had and the only reason I would ever wake up before 7:00 in the morning. I learned more in this class than I have in any other I have ever taken- not just concerning the subject matter, but covering a wide variety of topics. There was no textbook for the class, so attendance is important, but I recommend it.
do your GPA a favor and take this class. easy A and he is amusing and quick witted.
He pretty much makes ur day!!! His funny and will teach what he needs to, attendence is kinda mandatory. you could be in class for the full time or for simply 5 minutes. If u want an easy A plus a fun class and a great teacher...better take him!!!
first of all, he is the biggest smarta** ever. Hes funny at times but hes completely rude. He's an ok grader. Dont like him that much. Show up to class and dont miss more than 4, and do all the speeches, not hard to get a B
He is the coolest teacher I have had. His smile is amazing and he has a great funny personality.
He is a great teacher that is very acessible and very fun to take. Great class.
Rhetoric of Popular Culture ("Speech" M26) Was a very interesting class. The class size is large, so attendance isn't really mandatory--but you'll find yourself going just for the interesting topics. Rolland is a smart guy with a nice sense of humor. He'll make you laugh while making you think. Take this class.
100% TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER! funny and really really smart, just hang out and listen to him talk and walk away with an A
He is very arrogant and full of himself. If u kiss his hieny u will get an "A." I got a B but he told me i moved my leg to the left while giving a speech, its like get a life, all of that has not come into play during my speaking at my company or anything, I took him 2002, he should retire!!
His speech class was a lot of fun and he kept everyone laughing the whole time! Hes a good teacher but his wife was having a baby at the end of the semester so he turned into a slight prick. You'll have to work for an A but its an easy B as long as you show up to class
I signed up thinking it would be a good class with a good teacher. He's a complete smart@ss and it gets very annoying. He has inside jokes with students he knows from previous classes. It will make you feel alone in the class. has favorites and those are students hes known for years. if you are new he will NOT help you at all!
2nd time taking him, still never knew my name. He only likes the kids on his speech team. When you go for help he is intimidating and puts you down. He is passionate and sometimes really funny but goes from funny to crossing the line and makes you get annoyed and bored really quick. Kinda thinks he is Robin Williams.
His wife was having a baby at the end of the semester but still took the time to help me on my speeches and a scholarship essay (and I wasn't a former student like some others suggested).
I will honestly tell you since I was on his speech team, he NO way favors those on the team, if anything you have to work harder and prove yourself. I loved his classes. He makes any subject interesting and easy to understand. He is funny and is always there for his students. I would not be who I am today without him!
Honestly, ive never been so eager to go to school but his pop culture class always makes my day. He is the funniest person I have ever met and genuinely nice! Class discussions are always interesting and everyone likes to get involved! We watch music videos look at advertisements and discuss them! EASY and interesting! take him you wont regret it!!
Good teacher. Can be a smartass but don't miss more than four classes and do your speeches you will get no lower than a B
Rolland can a very interesting and funny guy when he lectures but when you go up to him or help he talks down to you. Kinda arrogant at times. But he's not too bad. The class can become really boing on the days when others give speeches. Sometimes it wasn't even worth going to his class. He doesn't require a textbook though.
He's funny at first, but then you realize how much of a RUDE, pompous, arrogant ass he is. The ONLY positive thing I can say is if you do all your crap and do pretty well on all the speeches he'll give you a B. But don't expect an A or an invite to the speech team unless you're a young girl who wears revealing clothes.
I thought the class would be easy at first because he's laid back and funny. I quickly realized that he also expects you to work but makes it clear what he expects and is always available in his office to help (he even helped me on a presentation for another class). I used to be terrified of speaking but I'm not afraid anymore.
Mr. Petrello is a waste of a teaching position. He uses his classroom as a mock stand-up comedy house. Sure, he is witty at times, but you will soon realize he is very arrogant. He takes a liking to attractive girls in his classes, and those who will never challenge him. I got an 'A' in his class, but not until I had to put up with all his nons
Made a scary class fun! Expects a lot but is pretty fair about it...
mr. P is totally chill. He's now my favorite teacher ever. This class is great to lots of movies but he changes the way you look at things.
love rolland. He makes the class enjoyable and understand the material. This is my second class with rolland and it just gets better every time. He makes you work for your A, he doesnt give it away.
Rolland is very arrogant. He has to have the last word on every topic, in or out of class. If you disagree with him in any way, be prepared for a tougher semester. Not to mention he does single out and mock students. Isn't this class suppose to make you confident in public speaking? He posesses the ability to grant you one step forward, two steps b
Rolland has been my director and debate/ pop culture professor. He is a bit of a smart ass and the students who get picked on generally put it upon themselves. Once you're past that, he'cool. For Pop Culture, it's two esays, a midterm and a final, plus extra credit. Debate is a bit more work, with over 8 assignments and a midterm / final. Take him!
Students who slam him are just bitter because they A) can't do the work, or B) are socially awkward. He's a great teacher... his classes will be fun for you if your a person who knows how to function in the OUTSIDE WORLD.
he is such an amazing teacher. i took his pop culture class and it was very enjoyable. the midterm was easy if you study and he loves to teach. very enjoyable and manageable assignments. only 3 essays and midterm and final. easy! take this class its awesome :)
If you want to learn how to become a more proficient public speaker and value your GPA, pray you avoid this class
Rolland is terrific! He's so passionate about teaching and loves his subject matter. People who think he's a bad teacher are pretty silly--obviously they didn't show up to class. He likes smart asses--he can dish it and can take it! And what a smile! :D Loved him!
AMAZING teacher! i took him for pop culture and i couldnt recommend him enough! i wish he taught all my subjects- it would make class so much more enjoyable! he his hilarious! i actually didnt mind going to class. class is easy. only 2 essays, a midterm, final, and a 100 point easy extra credit! take him take him take him!!!!
You will be okay if you agree with EVERYTHING he says. If you disagree with him, you are WRONG! and he will not let you forget it. Easy class, and funny guy. But don't speak up unless you plan to agree with everything he says.
I looked forward to this class every morning last semester! It was honestly the best morning class I ever took because it was entertaining, interesting, and room for opinion. I never really spoke up, but still, I enjoyed it! He is attractive AND knows the subject matter like the back of his hand. You won't regret taking pop culture!
He is a great professor and quite flexible with the needs of his night class students. I found the instruction incredibily useful and have employed it in my work to my benefit.
Rolland is quite funny, and the class discusses a lot of interesting things. He is quite unorganized (lost half the midterms and took 3 months to gradea 3 page paper), but the class was enjoyable and easy.
He's funny and interesting, but with arrogance. which leads to being rude towards students. oh but if youre a fine young lady, you should do well in his class. Makes speech harder than it really is. So i dropped, took Lobenstein instead and got an A. not cuz it was the easy way out, but because lobenstein treats students as equals
Rolland sometimes treats the class more like a comedy club than a speech class and he, at times, goes a bit too far when poking fun at students. In a speech class, it can be a bit intimidating knowing the prof's instinct is to mock people. He is knowledgable, however, and makes his expectations clear. Three graded speeches and two credit/no credit.
very clear on assignments.. definitely one of the better speech teachers. very lenient but grades harder than he looks like he will. FYI he makes a lot of jokes that SOME students took offense to but means well. I think he is a stand up comedian on the side haha. but overall glad I took this class
annoying, constantly singles people out, and extremely difficult
Easy class overall. You talk about some interesting things and watch a lot of commercials/documentaries. Fun teacher who likes to joke around but can sometimes make you feel stupid when you need extra clarifying. Other than that, it's easy. Take him.
I took him for both speech and pop culture very easy classes. He is very sarcastic which is entertaining just stay on his good side so you are not the butt of the joke . I got a B in speech and an A in pop culture without any effort. VERY EASY!
He makes his lectures interesting and jokes around a lot. A good teacher and an easy A. Two tests noncumulative. Take notes and you will be fine.
He's a great professor, if he senses people don't fully get something he will elaborate, we watch a lot of videos, some might be too much from some people but all in all he's great there's only 2 tests and if you participate in class you're golden.
I took his speech class over the summer and it was very easy. He taught the first 4 weeks of the class while Jill taught the last 4. He was very sarcastic and if you make smart comments he will call you out. He makes the class more fun, but just don't get on his bad side.
Best teacher I've had at Moorpark. Took him over summer and he made a 3+ hour class fly by. Clear expectations and helpful when I asked questions (and I'm a guy). Didn't tolerate homophobic comments in class and I was grateful for that!
Great class! Great teacher! 2 papers 2 tests. Easy if you pay attention. He changes the way you look at media forever. Doesn't allow stupid or hateful comments in class but other than that you can say anything and he actually listens to what you say. I'll definitely take him for another class!
I'm a girl and I didn't find this class creepy at all. Actually, I thought this class was interesting. Several of my friends have this professor and they like him as well. He picks on you but don't take it personal bc he picks on everyonein a funny, light way. This was a very great class
Rolland is such a funny guy, pop culture was so much fun and it really teaches you to look at the world differently. Great class, I hope to take other classes with him, I really enjoyed it. There is no textbook, attendance isn't mandatory, but the 2 tests are based on class material. Many people don't take notes, I found it helpful.
Rolland is the best kind of teacher to have if you're serious about class and looking to have a good time. He makes things easy, but you need to be around to do well. Super engaging with a great sense of humor. He dosn't full screen his videos tho, which is the only negative thing I have to say about him.
Rolland is a big jokester! He makes the class really fun and you watch a lot of documentary videos. You want to show up to class because he does clicker points for attendance. 2 papers and 2 exams are due throughout the semester. He goes over everything that is on each exam. 100 points extra credit available. Test are curved. Easy A!
Rolland was completely engaged in each class. You could feel his interest and he presented a lot of thought provoking material. My expectations going in weren't very high, but I thoroughly enjoyed his class and highly recommend him to anyone looking for interesting, well prepared pop culture discusions.
Amazing! I took his summer class on Pop Culture and was blown away! He has passion and it's infectious - his knowledge is extensive and he keeps his facts straight. You know exactly what is expected of you and he completely fair. Show up, participate and his class will change your life. I am "older," keep up with the trends - he blew my mind.
He is a very entertaining professor. You learn a lot about advertising and how it effects us mentally and self-consciously. The class is very easy and honestly, I'm not a morning person but he sure knew how to wake me up at 8:30 AM. You definitely need to show up to class to learn all the info, especially because there is no text book.
Lechures are long but insightful. Rolland has amazing grading for the class, participation is 80% of your grade. 2-3 papers, one mid term & one final exam! Show up to class, take good notes. Do the reaction papers, he offers one extra credit assignment. The class is a great learning experience!
I would say that Rolland's speech class is average but the criteria for the speeches is made clear. I would suggest that you nail your speeches because he grades hard on them. Attendance is mandatory, so if you have a couple of absences, then you wouldn't have an idea what you'll do in this class.
This is such an awesome class! Definately take it! It's easy if you show up! And he makes it so easy to py attention! Absolutely awesome teacher!
There's not much to THIS class, I'm not sure about the other ones. He's very laid back, I'm not sure if that's a good thing... Anyway, two essays and he grades on a curve. They're not hard but they're on the lectures and you should probably attend so you know what to write about - super easy. No textbook.
This pop culture class requires engagement. Participation is a bulk of your grade, requires a RFC-Clicker for interactive participation, no textbook needed. Lots of extra credit opportunities, offers a midterm and a non-cumu final. Lectures are engaging and really makes you think, definitely go-in with an open mind.
This class was good. you need a special Clicker to get credit participation. I started off loving this class until we watched a "documentary" on explicit material (men & women being filmed). so many people (and i) walked out in disgust. This documentary was VERY graphic and not approriate by ANY means to show anyone. not educational. test easy
A seasoned vet of the popular culture scene. Some of his reference videos are a bit dated and could stand to be replaced, but is a clear, concise, and fun professor. Would take any class he taught.
Anything goes in debate so class was sort of fun. Disliked this Prof because he did not explain things either at all or well enough. The class was often confused. If he only listed debaters names on the board in order for that day to help us, but rather confused us. He seems to hate our country and favor anarchy but that did not sway my approval.
I never thought I would ever get over my fear of public speaking, but this class actually helped. He's a pretty lenient grader as long as you follow all of his criteria for speeches, which is pretty clear cut. You don't even have to be the best speaker, just follow his directions! He's super funny and makes 3 hour lectures fly by! Take this class!
I took him over the Summer in a 4 week class and managed an 'A' without the book (though the book would definitely help). His instructions are clear cut and he's a lenient grader. Just make sure to take good notes!
Really great class! Very interesting, and informative of our everyday lives. Rolland is an awesome teacher! Pay attention to lectures and take good notes, and the exams are easy. Likewise, if you're not paying attention you probably won't do too well. The good news is Rolland is very passionate and makes the class easy to follow. FYI summer course.
Rhetoric of Popular Culture is an awesome class. Petrello's lectures were always interesting and he's very well versed in his area of study. Really hilarious, offered lots of extra credit, and was a very fair grader. No textbook, just a clicker needed for participation. I would definitely recommend!
I find the class subject to be interesting and I believe he covers the topics in a very professional, yet fun way. Be sure to go to class though as participation matters for your grade.
definitely recommend if you need to take a communications class. he talks specifically about what happens in popular culture and how it affects our society. study for the midterm and final. take notes when he lectures. use your clicker.
Rolland is the best professor I've ever had. He is hilarious and makes his class fun. This was the class that would make me excited to come to school those days. I was a bit afraid to take Public Speaking, but his grading requirements were very straight forwards and the speeches were relatively easy. If you struggle with public speaking, he'll help
Rolland is the man! Two papers that are really easy and interesting. There is a Midterm and a Final that he curves. Tells you exactly what will be on the test! You have to get a clicker to use for class participation. Overall this class was really chill and interesting. Take Rolland he is also hilarious, you won't regret it! Easy A!!!!
Kind of rude to be honest. Makes fun of people for contributing. One paper, midterm, and a final for my class. Offers one extra credit assignment. Clicker is needed for participation points. Don't be late. Sometimes he just rambles about common sense so I didn't really get any educational value from this class, but it was entertaining at times.
Took him for speech & pop culture, really clear on how he wants you to write your speech, follow his guidelines and you will be fine, pop culture is low key a joke, very generous grader, interesting lectures, would take again if I had to
Speech class with RoRo was the awesome. I do not like to speak in public and there were times where i have embarrassed myself but he makes you laugh back at it. He is actually brutally funny but there are people who take it too seriously and end up not liking him (get over it ppl) If you communicate with him, & show him you care, you'll pass !
Don't take this guy. Boring,
Rolland is the absolute best professor. He is so funny and entertaining and actually makes learning fun! I loved his speech class and would take it again. He's understanding, nice and an easy grader. Best professor I've ever had and would recommend him to everyone! He is extremely sarcastic but it makes the class even more fun.
He is a great teacher and well respectable as long as your respectful. There is no textbook but he does require a clicker for the class. His class is very interesting as well as interactive. He is by far one of the best teachers I have had so far at Moorpark College. He taught both my brother and I and we both have the same opinion of him.
Rolland is not a good professor. He is disrespectful (Donald Trump-style) and immature. He is crude and does not give clear grading criteria, then hold high expectations although he never made them clear. Makes a debate class, that I was excited for, boring. I feel like I didn't learn anything from class.
Rolland isn't much of a people pleaser- but the class is straight forward enough. He gives lectures, only a midterm and a final, and they're short answer/essay format. The class requires a clicker and some participation for discussion. Many have a gripe with him about his level of professionalism in the comments he makes from time to time.
Looking at these reviews makes me laugh. I dont understand how people think he is not clear. You obviously do not pay attention in class. As for his comments, I laugh at them. I personally think comparing him to Trump is harsh, he isnt an idiot with his words. Show up and listen. You wont even need to take notes. Study guides are online (quizlet)
Nice guy, but not so great professor. Spends way too much time on one topic and is overly critical of student responses to his midterm and final; basically, if you don't say exactly what he wants you to, your score is docked. I thought everyone was entitled to different opinions? Guess not. Impersonal, standoffish in one-on-one conversations.
Took him for two classes and wish he taught more that I could take. A bit of a smart ass but in good fun. Easily the best prof at Moorpark. I changed my major because of his classes.
Rollands' class was not what I thought. He did have passion about the subject though. I learned a few new things and it was pretty painless. There are 2 papers, extra credit and a midterm and final.
Awesome class, he keeps a three hour lecture interesting make sure you have required citations in speech
Take him for summer classes. The four weeks will go by quick. Awesome lectures even though they are long. Hilarious and clear with the material. Make sure you take good notes and pay attention. As long as you do those things, you're golden. I would also consider participating. One of the best and most interesting professors i've ever had.
Awesome professor! Follow the criteria he has set for you and make sure you come to class and participate. Took him for 4 week summer class. I recommend everyone does it! So much better and a faster way to get it over with.
I loved Rolland as a teacher. I took him for my summer class and he was so clear with what he expected from us. All I can say though is TAKE GOOD NOTES on his power points and things he repeats often. Overall great teacher and hilarious
I Took Rolland's Argumentation & Debate Class & Received a C. I Learned A Lot From His Lectures. His Persona Made Sitting Through Class A Little Difficult. He's Very Arrogant. Showed Up To His Office Hours & Was Rude To Me For Asking Questions. We Debated On Boring Topics . I Thought This Class Would've Been Fun.
Conservative? Do not take the class.
Rolland has a way of making long lectures fly by. He's so funny and makes the subject very interesting. Participation is highly encouraged, clickers are required for participation credit, and there are only a midterm, final, and 2 papers given. No homework, but if you don't show up to class you will miss vital info that will be on the tests.
So much to say not enough characters. I love and hated Rolland. He is sassy, stubborn, sometimes rude but at the same time thoughtful, caring for his students, wanting to make a difference in his students life. He has a strong personality but if you have thick skin and can take a joke. Then take his class cause YOU WILL LEARN A LLLLLOOOOOOOTTTTTT
jokes in class very intellectual
In a public speaking class I spoke around 5 times in 18 weeks and got a B. Not really much public speaking we just listened to him and left class early a lot. Rolland is nice when he is talking to the class but, if you ask him for help he will stare at you and attempt to palm you off unless you fangirl all over him. More instructor than professor.
He's a smart and funny professor who has a sharp tongue. I learned a lot and would highly recommend to take his Rhetoric of Pop Culture class. The only issue is that he is very specific in his grading. His prompts are a bit vague and won't give partial credit if you don't put down exactly what he is looking for.
Rolland came highly recommended by several of my friends and now I know why. He's hilarious without being offensive and is an AMAZING teacher. He has a way of making students not nervous about public speaking.
You need to learn not to get offended cause he jokes a lot. when coming to the material he teaches in a way you will remember what he said by the way he said it, instead of looking at notes. Pay attention and come to class, you don't wanna miss out on a fantastic lecture.
There is only three assignments...1 midterm 1 final and 1 paper. That's it. Oh and participation is worth 20% of your grade so if you skip class you won't pass due to participation points. Overall, though great class and super entertaining lectures. If you show up and listen your bound to get an A.
Inspiring Class! Beware tough grader though, be super specific on the midterm and final. You will not have any homework. Petrello's class in awesome but one on one is pretty impatient and rude.
The first day of this class gave me a bad vibe from this teacher. Hes very tough on grading and feel like he has favoritism. He tends to joke around alot and tell inappropriate jokes. I tried my best in this class and still wasnt meeting his expectations. I really wouldn't recommend.
He has bad personality and very disrespectful and he is not helpful. I wouldn't recommend him he is the worst Professor I have ever had .
This class opened my eyes about so many things! He's a great teacher and took time to help me with my transfer essay and application. I'm at Berkeley because of him and this class.
Definitely my favorite professor at Moorpark so far! Lectures everyday, but he is hilarious so it makes it fun. If you ever walk into his class late, be prepared to be roasted until you find a seat.
If you show up every day, take good notes, and review your notes before the test, you'll get an A. The class was only graded on a Midterm, an essay, and the final. Test questions were very straightforward, if you know the material you'll get the A. Funny guy.
Best professor and best class at Moorpark! Show up and pay attention and youll do well. This class opened my eyes to a lot of stuff!
I took Rolland two years ago for rhetoric of pop culture. He has a lot of his own opinions incorporated into lectures as if they were facts, and reacts negatively to criticism. He is a nice guy, but I was not a fan of how this class was structured. It would have been more interesting without his personal political bias.
As long as you do what he says, you will get an A. The only annoying thing is that you have to put up with his offensive and inappropriate jokes.
Loved this class. He made each lecture interesting, and interactive.
Worst teacher I've ever had. I appreciate the few tid bits of actual information I was given, but most of the class is waving through the trash bags of propoganda that flies out of Rollands mouth. Anyone to doesn't agree with them he will call ignorant, a very harmful teacher hiding behind a false morality. and FALSE INFORMATION
This class was great! His lectures are fun and interesting. Probably most relevant class I've taken at this school. Definitely taking another class from him.
Rolland was a great teacher. He knows his subject well. As long as you're open to hearing views that may go against yours you will most likely get along with him. He keeps the class entertaining which for how heavy some of the subject material can be is a gift. All you have to do is listen and do the work.
The first week, I thought Rolland would be a great professor. Until he started using very unprofessional/inappropriate language towards his students and graded very unfairly. Doesn't give rubrics prior to assignments so you have no idea what he's expecting of you, and he will mark your grade down greatly. Do not take him for this course.
I've had him twice and he's one of the best professors I've had! COMM M26 is a great class and the topics are really relevant! I also took advanced public speaking from him and that was also a great class! He's a tough grader, but he's pretty fair. He's very outspoken and opinionated, but I appreciated the humor he brought to the lectures!
Rolland knows his material well and his lectures are definitely not boring. Hes smart but sometimes too smart and will act juvenile towards students (sometimes deserving). Not bad prof but his ego takes getting used too.
Rolland was a fantastic teacher who knows his subject very well. We disagreed on a fair amount of subjects but if you don't push boundaries he won't. He's legit funny.
Educational Entertainment
I loved this class! I am very shy and took his public speaking class felt very comfortable. It broke me of a few bad habits I had while speaking and did not even realize It. The class was really a breath of fresh air! Come with a sense of humor! The professor is funny:) Difficult topics with multiple opinions in the room makes for a great debate!!
Professor Petrello is not the prefessor for you if you are conservative at all. However, if you do not mind talking about topics like gay rights, gender equality or subjects like that then his class will be fairly easy. All his notes are in class usually on a projector and he uses a clicker in class to take attendance so you should show up to class
He is so funny and entertaining. Grades are based on participation, 2 Tests, and one essay. Plus he gives up to 130 points extra credit! Pay attention and study for the 2 tests. Loved it.
Wasn't sure what to think of the class at first since he said part of his job is to challenge everyone's beliefs, but it was a great class. Lectures are fun and he does review sessions before tests. Plenty of extra credit too.
Class was a lot of fun, I always enjoyed going to it. He can be a bit blunt, but if you really like dry humor then you'll enjoy this class. Very few assignments, so the few that you do get you really need to study for. Class is really political leaning.
Rolland is seriously so funny and entertaining. He has a very sarcastic and intense sense of humor.. it was great. Discussions can get a little rowdy depending on the topic. Easy and interesting class :)
literally the funniest teacher and class I have ever taken!! he is the best and the class is so easy as long as you take notes
Best teacher ever!! This man is the funniest person ever! All you need to do is show up and take notes and you'll do great. Every class was interesting and some were controversial but very intriguing, I recommend everyone take this class even just for fun cause it's so good!
SOO FUNNY from the first moment you are in his class you have a blast. I had his 8:30 am class and honestly, the best class to go in the morning will wake you up. He does not like when people wake in class late and interrupt and he will call you out on that. Other than that, the topics he chooses are super interesting.
He doesn't teach from reliable sources, he takes her information from own assumptions.
Professor Petrello is unfair. His language is very unacceptable and rude in an academic class. The midterm and final exams are from some topics which he really interested to them!. This class is verbally without any books or notebooks, show up power points which you have to take some notes very fast, discouraging students with the minimum grade!
Less of a focus on facts/history, the material is based on his sociopolitical alignment. He talks about how humor is a marginalizing technique but then makes offensive jokes. And the reason why I'm here typing this is his EXAMS. The way they are structured is terrible, and even after studying leaves you feeling like you guessed on 90% of questions.
No powerpoints, no textbook, no decent review. You need to be a superb note-taker and have a really good memory for the tests. Exams suck! They were not written well and were designed to make you second-guess yourself. Also, the teacher was cell-phone obsessed, which I get, if it was a smaller class. 100 people, though? let it go!
LOVED this class! Classes and topics were always interesting and informative. Midterm and final were difficult but gives out extra credit. Also gives full points for showing up to about 80% of class. And there is one easy essay. Recommend this class!
The essay questions are really what got me good here. As it is a massive lecture its hard to feel like more than a number. Just show up and take lots of notes bc the tests can be really hard.
You are graded on midterm final participation and one essay. Midterm/final are MC but still difficult. He gives a 100 point extra credit assignment which helps significantly. Some things he says are a bit questionable but he's funny. I used 7 pgs out of my notebook the whole semester... Doesn't have detailed ppts. If you pay attention you're good.
Midterm and essay were difficult but he curves it extremely. The one, easy extra credit assignment is worth it. His powerpoints are simple but your expected to know things that were said. Easy class and A
By far the best instructor I've experienced; I highly recommend him. His lecture is interactive, his humor and personality make the class enjoyable. He's great at what he does.
Professor Petrello teaches a great class. Do I think it's biased in some ways, yes, but he's human. The lectures are long but there's tons of opportunity for verbal involvement. The exams are the only part of his class I found tricky. Overall, a hilarious professor but if you're easily offended I'd say pick another professor.
Took M26 over 4 week summer session and he was great. Made lectures very enjoyable and also makes you really examine the media you consume on a daily basis. Loved his sense of humor and assignments were relevant and explained well.
For the most part a very likable guy. A lot of the material is 10-20 years old, and I don't find that acceptable being that this is supposed to be about current popular culture. As others have said, the tests are very confusing. A fun class, but politically biased, and his far left opinion is often presented as fact. Still enjoyed it though.
This professor was very funny and gave great interesting lectures. There's no homework and your grade comes from just 1 paper and 2 tests so it's very important that you take notes and pay close attention to the lectures. Don't miss a class more than once or twice!
He's an awesome teacher, super funny and engaging. Pop culture was one of my favorite classes ever and I wish I could take it again. The only thing is a that the midterm was confusing so make sure you study and take notes!
So don't get me wrong, Professor seems like a very likable guy. However, the class seems to pander to one side of thinking and it is very easy to notice his biased opinions that lean left. Overall I think the class COULD be much more interesting, but it seems to be much more of a woman empowerment class and not much of a pop culture class.
This guy is hilarious! Your grade depends on a midterm and a final. Many people failed the midterm because it had tricky questions so he actually curved it 30%!!!! I'm not even kidding! He also gives a lot of extra credit making it easy to pass. Although he's funny and cool, the class is full of liberal bias with the topics, which is a downside.
Petrello is a super funny guy and does make class enjoyable, however all we talked about was objectifying women. The class is pretty easy, show up, participate and take the exams you'll be fine. He is a flaming liberal and in my option the class is very one sided. Not the best prof I've had, but would recommend, for someone looking for an easy A.
A funny guy that is for sure but a downside to this class is how liberal it is there's nothing wrong about the women rights since this class had facts. But the exams are very confusing and not clear at all and it makes it tricky.
My class converted from on-campus to online due to COVID, but he made the transition so easy. He's very present with students and is always there if you have any questions/concerns. There are discussions, two exams, an essay, and a final. My advice is to always watch the lectures and always study, you absolutely can't wing the exams.
Very interesting class, he's hilarious! We transitioned online halfway through the semester due to Covid, but he made it very easy! The tests can be a bit confusing, but don't worry because he curves it. There is also plenty of extra credit. Easy A.
Class is super lecture-based. HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECORDING!! Only has in grade book about three items midterm, final, and a paper. A second paper was offered as extra credit if attended the speech debate on campus that's the only extra credit offered. I loved the class its really opens your eyes. Rolland will keep you WOKE he's intimidating for sure
Just took him for public speaking online in the summer and all I have to say is WOW! not only were his 1 hour lectures on zoom extremely boring and repetitive, but then he expects us to understand fully how to give good public speaking speeches in front of a laptop to him. He also makes you choose topics to pick from and does not respond fast...
Took this class during the summer. He isn't so bad. He expects you to follow the rubric. Picking topics for the speeches was hard as he isn't really clear on what he wants. He gives good feedback and clarifies what you need to work on. There were 2 small assignments and 3 speeches. I did notice some awkward/inappropriate comments.
Professor Petrello is a real gem. He truly cares about your success and is super helpful when you need guidance. Don't be afraid to reach out. One of the best professor's I've had and I highly recommend taking his classes.
There are short quizzes each week but he allows for multiple tries. Some weeks have discussions, but with his lectures, they are usually simple. Pay close attention to instructions and it's an easy class. He gives feedback on most assignments.
The professor is okay, no complaints really on how he teaches. I'm mainly writing on the class itself. The COMM M26 class was way too liberal for me. Just be aware it's very politically correct. The majority of the class focuses on women empowerment and racial stereotypes.
Professor Patrello was hilarious, the class was interesting, and you can earn up to 100 points of extra credit. I took the class online, but at least during the pandemic it is definitely worth it. You learn a lot, and the information is relevant to today's issues in pop culture. One of my favorite comms classes.
I can see why people do and dont like him but overall he was fine! If youre thinking of taking him, do! His class is fascinating but I will say some of his quizzes and final/midterm were kinda hard but as long as you study you will be solid. Hes pretty woke too.
I took him for COMM M26 and enjoyed the class so I figured I'd take him for speech too. BIG MISTAKE. Super unclear when it comes to grading, very unresponsive when asked for clarification and help, and just an overall tough grader. SKIP HIM (at least for online classes, I have no idea about his in-person speech class)
Pay attention to the powerpoints if you take this class. All of the tests are off the powerpoints but you have to listen to him, you can't just read the powerpoints because he doesn't write the answers down. He offers a lot of extra credit and there's one research project but it's not too hard.
He's an ok professor but my biggest flaw with him is that he does not make his assignments clear. but whenever I email him for help or for a better undesrstanding of an assignment, he does not respond at all. I don't think he really cares about his students. Ive also notice most of his students are having trouble with teachings as well
Not a good professor, very unresponsive when it comes to help on assignment. He basically just criticise your work instead pointing out what you need to improve on . I recommend you skip this guy
This professor literally lets nothing slide unless its the best speech ever delivered. I am a speaker and author of two books, yet he graded things such as: You didnt follow the format 100% so you get 0 percent. One of the most unfair graders Ive ever seen. We all make mistakes but when it comes to Petrello a mistake is a death sentence.
Highly recommend skipping classes by this teacher. He is very rude and never once says anything kind about a student's work. For speech, if you do not do the speech perfectly you are screwed. I think he forgets that we are human beings LEARNING!! He discusses his political views which no one cares about because it has nothing to do with the class!!
Worst professor I've every had so far. His instructions are never clear, yet he wants you to do everything with pin-point accuracy. He is not responsive to students, sometimes taking as much as three days to respond. Doesn't give good feedback either and tends to go along the lines of "This is bad" or "You did it wrong". Find another COMM01 prof.
Falsely accused me of not watching his lectures or reading any of the material for an assignment, solely based on the fact that inaccurate Canvas "A.I." told him that I didn't. He called me out on this and even said he was "computer savvy" like me. That is anything BUT computer savvy, since AI is only as good as we make it. Would not recommend him.
This professor is way too picky and specific on everything for his assignments. If you don't do something the way he wants it, or even if it's slightly wrong, he will grade you harshly and won't even give you good feedback to fix it. He's very sensitive about time limits too. If you go over the max, even by only a minute, he'll deduct 30 points.
If you do not watch 1 lecture he will call you out and assume that is how you treat the whole class. You need to perform an astounding speech to get a decent grade. I asked for help on finding an assignment, he didnt, and deducted points for me not using the provided rubric that I told him I couldn't find.
Was cool dude, wasn't my type of guy. Lectures are not mandatory but recommended. Lectures are 75% entertaining topics and are important so take notes during them. Everything he discusses are on the test. From what I remember 2 tests, and 1 paper (not long) and they were easy as long as you paid attention in class.
I had him for pop culture and he is literally so funny. Hes really respectful to everyone in his video lectures and makes the class fun. There is one 5 question quiz a week, towards the end we started having discussions every week too. My grade started slipping towards the middle but then he offered so much extra credit my grade went up like 15%
Such a cool class. I took it online but Im sure it would be even better in person. Each week we had a new chapter or two that each had a small quiz. Towards the end of the semester we had a discussion each week as well. No tests besides the midterm and final, and a research paper also
Every week we had a few lecture videos to watch, a quiz and a discussion post. If you are sensitive to topics such as rape, you may not want to take this class. Even though he provides the slides to download, make sure you take side notes and do all the extra credit assignments he offers. This professor is very knowledgeable in the area of culture
Provides very detailed and long lectures. A huge variation of topics learned, which may be sensitive to some people. Provides a very unbias perspective. For how easy the course is, he is a very tough grader so it is certainly not an automatic A unless you apply what was learned in lectures. Responds in a timely manner and provides extra credit.
The lectures are great and have a lot of detail and prepare you for the tests. He is a fair grader but you have to put the work in to get and A. Participation and responding to other students is required and is large part of the class. This professor is unbiased and encourages students to express themselves honestly on current topics.
Took him for a 4 week summer class. It was a lot of work in a short time, but he's super clear and responds very quickly to any questions. It seems like he actually puts effort into his online classes.
For the most part, the course was a piece of cake. The quizzes are pretty fair. My tips: Watch and take extensive, highly detailed notes on every lecture AND documentary. For writing assignments and the research project, the professor shares exactly how he grades them. Do the extra credit right away, don't wait until the last week to complete it.
For an asynchronous course, this professor had amazing lectures. He is an extremely fair grader. The only way to get an A is if you committee a lot of time for the course (4 full days a week), read every chapter, watch every lecture and video, view every page in modules, and take extensive and highly detailed notes on all lectures and chapters.
I loved this class and Professor Petrello makes it very interesting. I recommend this class to everyone I know.
do not take this class. he never responds to emails and was quite rude whenever I asked a question. tough grader and does not give clear instructions or good lecture material. also used inappropriate examples in class such as music videos and photos that some people may be sensitive to or offended by.
Professor Petrello's class was so much fun. I took this class in person and it was one of my favorite classes I have taken at Moorpark. As long as you show up to class, listen, and take notes it is an easy A. He is extremely entertaining and funny and a very nice guy.
Rolland is an easy teacher however he is horrible at giving feedback and never will communicate with you. For that reason I would simply avoid taking a class by him in the future.
Take my review as a student who earns good grades. The class itself was pretty easy however the mid term and final really kills you. 40% of the midterm+ final is 4 short answers the rest is multiple choice and he is such a hard grader. He never replied to my emails and was very rude the one time he did. Avoid taking at all costs, I wish I listened
The class content and delivery are excellent. The quizzes and discussion posts are straightforward, but the midterm (20%) and final (40%) include short answer sections that can be challenging. The average scores for both the midterm and final were 75%, indicating a strict grading approach. Take thorough notes and do the extra credit.
This is the best online class I've taken. Lectures feel like you're actually in a class. He's really clear with what he expects and gave good feedback on assignments. Met with me on Zoom when I had questions.
EASY A. Professor gives entertaining and enlightening commentary. I'm sure his in person discussions would've been fun. I watch weekly lectures in an hour at 2x speed. They're usually pretty funny. You get 1 retake for the weekly quiz. Midterm and final are more difficult. Extra Credit - 150 for going to event, 2 25 point essays.
Probably the most fun and interactive class ive had. Lots of lectures at the beginning of the semester, but more application near the end. He is a strict grader on the speeches, and very strict on the time so dont go too long or too short. Super funny and never had a bad class
His lectures are really long and extensive, but he makes it enjoyable. The fact that it is so long makes it hard to watch. The midterm and final are really hard but the quizzes every week are easy. The extra credit will be your saving grace, but it is so hard to find examples he has not already used in class.
he was okay .... but he's a really tough grader didnt really like his class... lots of video's, group convo's and quizze...... but took it because he's the only professor who teaches it...
Rolland was a good lecturer but the whole grade is dependent on a dodgy midterm and final. His lectures are interesting, but when it comes time to take a weekly quiz, only about half of what he lectured on is on the quiz. He is a good presenter of information but is rude when you ask him questions personally, I would avoid him if you can
if you want ur sanity in tact by the end of the sem, don't take him. long lectures that are so boring and then has quizzes and discussions that he grades based off his opinions. final exam is 200 points and 80 of those points are short response.
Classes are just lectures but Rolland makes them very engaging and interesting. Homework consisted of a 5 question quiz and a discussion post almost every week. If you take notes the midterm and final are super easy. The research paper was the only stressful assignment, but it wasn't super hard to complete. He also gives out tons of extra credit.
I know he's probably better in person, but I had a BAD experience with him in one of his online classes. I'll leave it at there, wouldn't have enough room on this review to explain it all.
- responds to emails but doesn't listen to what you say - anytime you do anything wrong he is somewhat passive saying you did not watch the lectures (i did) - doesn't have clear guidelines DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. you may think the good reviews outweigh, don't be foolish like me. i'm on the verge of dropping. it's so bad. sanity is gone.
Forget about the class, because it's not the best. All I want to know is who hurt you? Because they've created a monster.
strict about his rules n grades very harsh. DO NOT TURN STUFF LATE IF YOU HAVE HIM. he will take off like 50% of ur grade. since ur taking it online u may think its easy to read off a script, he notices. and he takes off points. and he tells you he saw you read off. he gives a textbook but u dont need js watch the lectures and do the hw he assigns
This professor is rude, don't take him. It's like he expects you to be an amazing speaker right off the bat. Please don't take him
This professor is a tough grader and doesn't help you when you have questions instead he claims “you didn't watch the lecture.”
Bad communicator and unclear assignment instructions. Avoid if possible
Great class, I enjoy this class.
This professor is so rude. He makes assumptions saying we didn't watch the lectures. His instructions say one thing and when he grades you he says other things. Do not recommend.
Politically leaning, if you want a course on his beliefs, then I recommend it. There is no room for independent thinking in this class. I was excited to take a communication course, that is not what this is.
Made the class super interesting and made me look forward to all the lectures. Very cool teacher, a top favorite class.
This was the only class I looked forward to this year. The lectures were so engaging, fun, and hilarious. I fully expected him to have a higher rating because I enjoyed his class so much. Amazing teacher with great morals! Was he "too political" or did he call out misogynistic, racist, and sexist ideologies that conflicted with your beliefs..?
