He is a great professor.He may seem a little weird at times but is vey nice and funny.His tests are somewhat difficult,so you have to study, but I would recommend him anytime. He is a truly outstanding professor!

Best class on campus. He is insightful, delightful and leaves you egar to learn more about Psychology. He makes you want to use all that you learn in your own life. I would take his class over and over if I could. He makes you feel comfortable to learn.

prof scott is the man! great sense of humor, never a boring class! "humping a tree!" hahahaha! the exams are reasonable, u have to watch videos in main library about schizos for the paper, and the final is pretty straightforward.

It is wonderful to see Prof. Scott is still teaching...I had him in 1992-93. He is a great teacher and really motivated me to go in the the mental health field as a clinical social worker.

This is a professor I will remember for the rest of my life. He comes off as being real, authentic, and nice. He is very understanding and will do anything he can to help you.

Professor Scott is madd cool, he gives alot of notes, but at the end of class you don't even notice it..Try not to miss his class cause if you miss one then you better have a friend who has those notes..The only teacher i can say that i learned alot from.

He's is actually one of the best professors at SJU he actually learn he does give a lot of notes and if you do bad on an exam he gives you many chances to make it up with papers the best!!!

An incredible teacher. He knows what he's talking about it, but is never teaching as if he's above you. He is clear, helpful, and definatly makes the class interesting and enjoyable. If you've got the oppurtunity, take his class.

Prof.Scott is the best. He knows so much it is amazing. You can learn so much from this professor, your vocabulary will increase so much after taking his class.But in order to get that A you must study for the exams but he will still try to help you get that A. He is the best take him.

He's a really nice professor. He does however, give a lot of work. Just stay on top of the readings and speak to him as much as you can so he can know who you are and you'll do fine.

Yo, he is like the best teacher ever, he cares and understands us, young people. Although sometimes he could be a little cazy, but it is all love, he does not belief in failing and it is not hard for u to get an A. Just take notes and u will do fine, he is a very good teacher that knows his stuff back to front, its like he memorizes the dictionary

Prof. Scott is well meaning and always wants to help you get the best grade possible, he is very concerned with the upliftment of his students. He tends to reflect on his experiences, this alone showed me that we truly are fortunate though we may not always see it that way. Be prepared to work hard and walk away with alot more than which you came.

Scott is such a great professor. a good amount of work to do,the tests were difficult, but gave a good review, and let us use our notes for the final. in generall a teriffic person. i really enjoyed his class, and got a lot more than what i went for

Professor Scott is a really good professor. He gives you a broad view of psychology and also gives so much extra credit papers that can really boost your grade. IF you get a chance you should definately take him..although some of the work may be hard...it pays off and he acknowledges those which do good work! take him!!!

he gives you alot of chances with extra credit reports which make a big difference if you dont do so good on tests.his test are hard but if you pay attention and take good notes your fine. he's a very good at what he does his mission is to make sure you understand what he's saying and pass.

he is one of my favorite professors here at SJU. psyc isn't even my major and i would love to take another class with him. he is one of the most down to earth people i know, and a great, caring teacher. hes there for you to do well. take him!

I am majoring in this and I absolutely recommend him for Psy majors. Do the readings and take his notes carefully. Everything from the text is on the test. All in all, he makes class interesting and enjoyable.

He is the best. I had a lot of fun in his class. If your sensitive about certain issues I would not recommend him but he is very funny. His class is very easy. Just take notes, read the text, and you'll do fine on his tests.

He's an awesome Professor! And he gives lotsssss of extra credits so even if you mess up on your tests you will be able to make up for it. He gives 6-7 extra credits or more, which are all papers! This class is an easy A!

He gives out a lot of assignments which you have to put in your journal, but the good part is that it is due on the last class. He's a very caring and sincere man, but don't take him if you're lazy.

He is very nice, if you’re not doing so well on his exams he gives extra credit for points to be added to your exam. He really loves what he does very passionate, caring and wants his students to all do well. Take him you will not regret it.

He is extremely helpful and wants all of his students to do well, he offers extra credit if you do not do well on his tests. you need to pay attention in class and attendance is mandatory because he gives a lot of notes. the book is not needed, his notes are enough. This professor is very strange. He cares about his students, but shows that in a rather bizarre way. Lots of sexual innuendos. Funny guy but very unorganized with his teaching. Read the textbook and take notes on your own (chapter outlines help) as well as his class notes and you'll do well. Confusing material at times.

I wouldnt take him again. His notes are all over the place and the packets he hands out have to be memorized because he doesn't go over a lot of the stuff in class. He tries to help you though bc he allows you to do papers on documentaries for extra credit. Kind of weird though with a very low voice

he is one of the best professors on this campus. he teaches from within his own personal experiences and relates to students as much as he can. he is very intelligent and that is why i think some poeple have a difficult time understanding him. i took him for psy1000c and abnormal psych and i learned more in his class than any other class i took.

He really cares about his students and is very fair....psychology is a hard course so no matter who you take it will be challenging but prof scott does whatever he can to help you get a good grade

Professor Scott is a dedicated professor who looks out for the best interest of his students.If you listen to his lectures carefully and attend his class everyday there is no way you cannot get an A. His lectures are interesting and motivating. And if you do mess up he will give you the opportinity to redeem yourself.

I actually found the papers to be very therapeutic experiences, because he allows you to be poetic and use personal experiences in your writing. It's a very helpful method to get stuff out, and you'll get to know yourself sooo much better! Take him if you can! Highly recommended!! :)

Excellent professor. Tests are lengthy and hard however, when everyone had poor grades on the first test he let us write papers and have take home tests after that. Final was open notes. very passionate about his job extremely understanding and will help you if you show him that you care about the class.doesnt check attendance. awesome class

Professor Scott is a very knowledgable individual who is sincerely concern about his students achivements.He goes above and beyond for his students in order to assist them ascertain the knowledge to be able to better understand Abnormal Psychology.I recommend Professor Scott with great pleasure to all who need an amazing and scholarly professor.

Professor Scott is one of the most caring professors in the University. The Course is loaded with several tests and papers but most of the tests were open book or to take home. He is very passionate about what he does and he wants his students to do suceed. If you have the chance to take him hes a must. Guaranteed atleast a B if you show effort.

Prof. Scott is a great and caring professor. However (caveat), his teachings and method can be quite intense as well as requiring additional research that is usually not included with the required textbook for class. Perhaps, the terms and nomenclature he requests that you research for your own benefit, could be in the "Recommended Reading".

Prof. Scott is truly a sincere person, who shares a wealth of knowlege from his experiences a Counselor. His is licensed as a LCSW and practiced counseling. Keep in mind he only is trying to mold you and shape you into an adult who is ready for the workplace and your future endeavors. Would take this class again if I could.

Took 3 hour class once a week. Professor is very enthusiastic and interested class topic(s). Very sweet and sincere man. Uses power points and videos during lectures. Papers are weekly, require much research and citations; they're not a joke. Very critical on grading and review. Study for exams; they're no joke either. Easy course if you try hard.

He is amazing one of the few teachers that look at you as a human. He always gives you compliments on your heart. His class is fun and easy. Tests are simple. Please take him trust me you won't regret it.

Easy A teacher as long as you do your work in the class. Gives a lot of vocab but gives a review of things you have to know for the test and final is open book which really helps your grade a lot. Good teacher to take and would certainly take again !

One of the most enthusiastic classes I took at St. Johns University. His passion seeps through this mans pores. The class was mostly hand outs and notes that you would have to re-read in order to pass the exams. Prof Scott is a human being as much as he is an educator. Still remember him long after I graduated a few years ago.

Good professor. Actually a very inspirational professor. I would say that if you put in the work you will do well in the class. I found him to be a mentor and an educator. Put in the work and you will get the appropriate grade. Not tough but not very hard either.
