Atchinson is a great teacher and mythology is an awesome class. It's incredibly easy and interesting; I got a 100 on my first test and kept an A+ average the entire class

Great guy. He made the subject matter interesting. Tests and such are relatively easy. He is definitely what you would call a "cool" teacher.

A really great guy, interesting and even comical on occasion. His quizzes are very fair and easy to get a good score on if you put effort in your studies. Midterm and final are intense but certainly not impossible to get a good grade on. We will also work with you on having to be absent from class.

I took this class in the summer, and it was pretty easy. As long as you know the stuff on the study sheets he gives you for the exams, you'll be fine.

AWSOME class i recomend him to every one who says they are going to PJC! He was so easy! But you learned so much! Just take notes or get notes from a friend! HE is so intresting to! We only stayed in class for about 30-45 min. each time! Test only take 10-25 min!

Just be there to take the notes, then take the few tests and your out. Good teacher, knows his stuff, and interesting. I did not need the extra book.

Hes the biggest hippie. and he constantly walks around with his right hand pulled up and limp. he only uses it to do hand motions or write on the board. hes funny too.

I've only had him for about a month but I've learned more in his class so far than I learned in all of high school.

Can't beat a teacher that walks around bare foot.

if this guy was a nug, he would be the dankest. classical mythology was a badass class. when professors are as passionate about the subjects they teach as he is, it makes it all worthwhile.

He is a very good teacher. I got an easy A in mythology. I am taking Hummanities with him right now. Just listen in class and you should do fine. Don't really need a book in his class. He is also very funny.

He speaks extremely fast,so you may need a tape recorder. Overall the class is interesting, and he gives ample opportunity for extra credit which is nice.

Awesome Teacher! If you need a humanities class that you will actually enjoy then TAKE ATCHISON! He's got a cool, laid-back attitude, and is very knowledgeable in any kind of early greek/roman, latin stuff. I highly recommend taking this guy!

very nice guy. go to class b/c the exact definitions he gives you are on the test. he cuts the class in half most the time and is very laid-back. hes a great teacher and doesnt expect much of you just KNOW WHAT HE TELLS YOU and thats it.

Mr. Atchison is the greatest teacher ever. I actually enjoyed going to class. He's very funny and does not throw any curveballs when it comes to test and quizzes. Plus, He is so0o0o0o0o hot!!!

He taught well, He gave lots of breaks, and we got out before time nearly everyday.. and all while covering the information! Take good notes for the quizes and don't wait till the last minute for the project. He's a great professor!!, Enjoy!

Ok I would say he organized but he told us to not lie to future students lol. He is very cool just buy a tape recorder and take notes on his lectures test are extremely easy and dont buy the book or at least not for his 6 week class. Oh and he does one big project for writting assig its a breeze do it early as possible so you can chill.

i really enjoyed his class. his lectures were extremely interesting to listen to. i also love the fact that for the three hour class he always let us out early. after taking latin in high school for three years and not understanding catullus' sparrow poems, he finally explained them, haha. i hope i can have him again as a professor; he's awesome.

He is a extremely nice teacher. He mainly lectures, talks very very fast, you must take good notes, because the test will be based strictly off his lectures. A recorder can be helpful. It is not my subject of interest, but he does make it interesting. A is possible if you take good notes and apply them to the vocabulary list.

Great Teacher. Talks fast. Tests and quizzes are very easy as long as you pay attention. I had a 3 hour class with him and it never lasted more than 2 hours with 2 or 3 10 min breaks.

Great Teacher! You don't have to go to class all the time but if you miss the lectures you wont pass.He talks a lot but he is a fabulous teacher and I loved his class so much that I'm taking his Greece-Rome History class.

I didn't really need a recorder -- just keep notes and make sure you ask him at the end of class if you miss something. Great teacher, very interesting.

This teacher made my freshman year at PJC enjoyable. He is an extremely good teacher. His lectures are relatively easy to follow and his tests/quizzes are very easy. I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this class. Very fun class to take with a great teacher!

I LOVE MYTHOLOGY, BEST CLASS EVER! Mr. Atchinson makes the stories very interesting, sometimes absolutly. The way he teaches there is no way you can not remember this stuff, just remember the funny stuff he says about the characters! Hr lectures every class so dont miss, quizzes are faily easy, what he puts on the quizzes he also buts no the exams

awesome teacher. lectures the whole class but i don't think we ever stayed in class the whole time, got out early all the time; and he relates the lectures to us, and is funny. he gave us 3 exams and drops the lowest grades so all the people that made a's on the first 2 exams, he let us be done with the class! recommended.

Cool guy. Lectures are interesting and keep your attention. If you can't write fast, get an audio recorder. Classes usually get out early, he covers ALOT in little time. Quizzes are directly from the lectures, so just take notes and you're straight. Highly recommend this class and professor.

He's awesome! Get 15-20 min breaks. Tests and quizzes are straight from lectures. 10pg paper due but just orgainze your notes and your fine. He goes thru whats in the lil book but you really dont need it! He's fun. class started at 6p and we were out at 730, 8p at THE LATEST. study your lecture notes and youll make a good grade, just know the gods!

Excellent teacher and lecturer. Take good notes , use the study guides and you'll do well on the quizzes. Turn in your 10 page paper (copy it from your notes, it's a no-brainer!) Enjoyable class. Would highly recommend the class and teacher!

It was a lecture based class. If you took notes from his lecture you would do well.Five quizzes and 3 tests. If you can memorize you'll do just fine.

Great teacher. Very helpful. Tells you exactly what will be on quiz and quizzes make up the test. He does talk really really fast and won't slow down but other then that he is an excellent teacher

I may be a little biased since I'm already very interested in the course content, but this was a class that I actually looked forward to attending every week. He made class interesting and funny, was very easy to understand, and it was a lecture based class (which is my favorite). Made my freshman year pretty fun. Highly recommended.

he is an amazing teacher! he just talks and you take notes. he will give you a study guide of everythign that will be on the tests. i just re-read all my notes before each test and i got 100% on almost everything. he also usually lets class out early! hes really easy to talk, weather after class having a cig, or runign into him at the grocery store

I absolutely loved his class. It is all lecture based and doesn't require the textbook. He gives handouts of everything that will be presented on quizzes and tests. Just take notes and you should be fine. I would suggest that you record his lectures though as he tends to talk really fast.

Best professor ever! Everyone in class agreed. Wanted to take his other classes for the sake of it. He's laid back and doesn't have favorites. Lecture based. Didn't use the book at all. Quizzes and tests were EASY! He made test time fun by reading past test answers that were comical. He was informative and funny. You learned and retained more.

Wonderful professor! Everyone in class either 1. LISTENED to every word or 2. took notes on every word he says. He knows the content very well and makes it fun by putting the content into 'modern' terms. Easy A for all of his classes if you study, didnt break a sweat!

Excellent instructor! Very fascinating. I wouldn't say he is easy, you definitely have to do your part. I HIGHLY recommend using a recorder. He does talk fast! His lectures have never been dull, and he doesn't drag on. You get done what you need and go! Would take him for any class(minus Latin) he teaches!

Watching an Atchison lecture is like watching a tennis match. He is in constant motion. He is also a great teacher. Funny and interesting. Take notes and use his study guides and you should pass his class no problem.

He is a wonderful teacher! I would most defiantly take him again, he is super easy, all you need to do is show up to class, take notes and you will have an easy A. He is not strict about missing class but the more you miss the more material you will miss and it is not easy for you keep up since you will go through a lot of notes a day.

His class consisted of voice recordings and power points of pictures. There are terms that need to be remembered and pictures. If you like flashcards and have a good memory you can definitely pass this this class. Drops lowest exam grade.

very nice guy! he made a boeing topic, actually pretty entertaining! i enjoyed his teaching style and his class wasn't hard as long as you study. it's honestly just a lot of memorization and that's it. he shows cool pictures during his slideshows pertaining to what he's teaching that day

Atchison is my favorite teacher I've ever had in college. Excellent lectures with knowledge far vaster than the confines of the subject. Excellent ability to construe and idea with very clear and well organized subject material. HW is done before it is taught with unlimited attempts. If you like any subjects he teaches you will adore this class.

Great Professor, material was easy to understand, tests and quizzes were almost the exact same as homework questions, passionate about the topic, drops lowest test & quiz grade. Homework is used as prep for upcoming topics so you are familiar with the info when class rolls around. Also he's basically doing the Fitness Gram Pacer Test every lecture.

Mr. Atchison was a spectacular professor. His class is easy to pass if you pay attention and utilize his StudyMates flash cards. A lot of the exam content is word for word with the flash cards. Attendance is graded. Late work is not accepted but he drops your lowest quiz and exam grade. Lecture based class with no textbook.
