He knows the materials really well and brings out very interesting topics without being restricted to the textbooks. I loved how he connected each lessons with contemporary issues and further elaborated on the students' questions. All the discussions were really beneficial in understanding the materials as well. Great class and highly recommended.

This is a great class to take, the course material is great but the way it is presented is the best part. Dr. Lehavi is a genius and he isn't afraid to input his own opinion on the topic and encourages students to contribute their own thoughts. He is always available if a student needs help and is a great man to talk to about class or anything.

Lehavi is the most knowledgable person I have ever come in contact with. He keeps his class light and entertaining while introducing a tremendous amount of information. He's fair when it comes to grading. study and take notes, if you do, you'll get rewarded with a good grade, is just the logic behind it. I took this class with my sister and Mom. What i didn't like is that it was a night class but overall he was a good professor. You can tell he loves to teach this subject. He knows his stuff! Get ready to show up to class to take down a LOT of notes. There were two quizzes, two midterms, and a final. Also, there was an analysis paper, worth a lot

Professor Lehavi's class was great. The lecture was 3 hours long, so, naturally, I was pretty tired in class. But he always told us stories about his past experiences--he's a funny guy. The exams and quizzes are straight off the lecture material. If you don't take notes you won't pass. Definitely will take him again.

Professor Lehavi is the most amazing professor in all of Valley College. Unlike most professors, he cares about his students and makes sure they do the work to pass the class. He teaches Poli Sci 1 and I believe he's one of two professors in LAVC that teaches Poli Sci 5, which is the hardest political science class. I would 100% take him again.

Professor Lehavi is very funny and caring. The class is highly informative about international relations and world conflict. I especially liked the analysis of deterrence theories and Free Trade regimes.

Dr. Lehavi is an excellent professor and his knowledge on the subject really shows as he goes into detail in his lectures. The class is a lot of fun, Lehavi tells some great stories and some are related to his lectures. I've been really fortunate to take him for this class and major. If you wish to major in Pol Sci this is the professor to take!

Lehavi is a real character. He has good humor, but that's about it. Tough grader. Tells you he's going to take attendance, and then doesn't. His final was like 6,000 questions. His lectures take SO long. Literally will not dismiss you until the end of class time on the dot. But as a person, he's cool.

Dr Lehavi is a very fair grader. He is really there to help you, not only to help you pass the class but to make sure that you learn something. He is very compromising and will make sure you pass the class as long as he sees you put effort into the work. While attendance is not mandatory, his lectures are very interesting and very interactive.

I think Professor Lehavi was a great teacher. He is very knowledgeable and is kind, understanding, and helpful. For a political course, he is a very unbiased teacher which is nice to see. I really enjoyed his class although lectures were boring sometimes but other than that, I'd recommend taking his class!

Prof. Lehavi was wonderful, he really knows his stuff, and is someone you'd love to just chat with at a cafe for hours about the history of the world. He was pretty lenient about attendance until it started to be an issue. His slideshows are very helpful and he makes them available after his lectures, which was awesome. I rarely read the book.

I 100% recommend taking his night class that is once a week. His lectures arent boring. Also if you leave after he takes role he doesnt care. Tests and quizzes are all online in canvas. He sometimes gives you multiple attempts. An A in his class is 85%. He also gives an extra credit opportunity if youre 5% from a letter grade.

Whether it be through his ridiculous imitations of historical figures or thought-provoking questions of human nature, he can grab the students' full attention and almost channel the knowledge completely to the students via telepathy. Great Professor, super nice guy. All assignments are discussions and they are pass no pass. Just try and you will get an A. An A in his class is 85% and he gives a 5% extra credit assignment. He gives 2 attempts for quiz and exams. Easy class and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend.

Ron Lehavi is the best professor I've had. He is devoted to his students learning, encourages students to do well, and has a way of instilling his own passion of Political Science in his students. I was nervous for a fast paced online class, but with his incredible feedback and in-depth discussion, he is setting his students up for success. 10/10.

Professor Lehavi was great! he made sure everyone understood his lectures. He would also use South Park or Shameless references to help. he was pretty funny so I was never bored in his class. His quizzes were kinda easy, just use the notes he gave, and he also gives 3 tries to pass the quiz. There were 2 different essays, and they were easy.

Great Professor. Have him at my High School and at LAVC. He has efficient and good lectures and is very informed on the topic. He understands Poltical Science and History as a whole very well. I took Dr. Lehavi's Pol Sci 1 class for fall 2020. He will definitely help you pass. Take him. I learned a lot about US Government and how it really works. He has amazing powerpoint presentation that is easy to understand. Just keep up with his planned modules and you will pass. I plan to take him again for my Pol Sci 5, & 7, and Law 3.

I didn't take it seriously when I attended (I was never punctual and often didn't take notes.) and still got an A without much effort... Although in retrospect, I should've been more involved since the class was interesting and enriching, and fun.

Super easy class, I took an 8 week course. All info is given in powerpoints so there is minimal reading. Quizzes are super easy as they are taken straight from the powerpoints. I really don't like poli sci but this class was super easy.

Dr. Lehavi is an amazing professor because of his ways of lecturing his students. We go over a few materials in class but if you are absent or don't show up due to covid-19, Dr. Lehavi has always posted the slide shows he presents in class in the course modules for convenience. Dr. Lehavi is an amazing teacher. He has such a great teaching style. If you miss class you will still be able to understand what he had taught because of his elaborate slides. The slides and presentation style allows you to retain the knowledge because it is treated as a conversation rather than a lecture. I would take more of his classes.

He is funny and his classes are interesting. They are lecture heavy but easy. All the quiz and test answers are on the slides he provides . He is reasonable and provides make up days if you really need it and he gives out extra credit assignments .I really recommend him.

Law 03 was the second class I took with Dr. Lehavi. He's very kind, and always there if you have any questions about the homework, or the material at hand. The thing that has always stuck with me from his classes were his amazing lectures which he makes fun with his story time if you're lucky to enough to take him in person.
