the most amazing teacher and person I have known at ku!! his class is like sitting through stand up comedy for an hour and a half! Definately look foward to going to it every week, and its a shame he only teaches this one class! If you have an opportunity to take ASL I, you should definately do it!!!! We love Dr. Malcolm!
hehe so funny! Wish he taught more classes, everyone should be able to meet this professor at least once, amazing man!!

Dr. Malcolm is absolutely fantastic! The class is a relatively easy A if you show up every time, which isn't a struggle because the class is great. The man is the funniest professor I have ever had and I look forward to going to class every time. I definitely recommend his class - the course is interesting and he is great!
LOVE HIM!!!
Dr. Malcolm is seriously one of the best teachers you will ever have...he keeps the class entertained and it is truly a sad time when you have to leave. That, and he is absolutely hilarious...good times are had by all.
Best teacher I have ever had, I have honestly cried laughing in his class. I would recommend it to anyone! Dr. Malcolm is the best and I love him!
Dr. Malcolm is amazing! I absolutely love this class. He does a wnderful job of making the use of sign language seem relevant to our everyday lives. Dr. Malcolm is hilarious - def. one of my favorite professors!

He is deaf, has like two doc.'s. and is amazing!!When I say deaf thou you wouldn't even know it because he speaks so well. Def. reccomend this class. O yeah i wouldn't buy the book i didnt' use it
If everyone could take a class from him the world would be a better place. He is THE BEST teacher I have ever had in my life or will ever have. BEST CLASS EVER!
Had such a fun time in his class. He is completely deaf, but reads lips and loves to tell stories. It is challenge, but if you study then you will be just fine. I LOVED this class!!!!
His class is absolutely hilarious. Sure, it's two and a half hours, but you will look forward to it every time. One of my favorite teachers ever.
The best teacher that I have ever had at KU!!! I alway looked forward to going to class and seeing what we would learn next. He knows how to keep you interested. An amazing man and a beyond amazing teacher. I will never forget him or the 3 classes I took from him. If you can take as many classed with him as you can!! And summer classes are amazing!
Dr. Malcolm is great. I took ASL 1-3 with him. I never used the book but definitely go to class. He really cares about his students and is very helpful. He always has good stories too. Favorite teacher ever.
Dr. Malcolm is HILARIOUS! He is over all an amazing person as well. His stories are awesome and at the same time you learn a lot when he tells them. This class was not only a lot of fun, but very rewarding as well. I wish I had taken more classes with him.
Professor Malcolm is by far my favorite teacher at KU. I took ASL 1 with him and his course is super easy and only meets once a week. He makes class SO much fun, he is literally a stand up comedian. I literally find myself waiting to go to his class each week, such an amazing person who has achieved so much! LOVE him!
I have never enjoyed such a class in my life. He is the BEST professor I have ever had at KU. They should honor him with some kind of an award. He has taught me so much. He changed the entire direction of my life. I will NEVER forget him.
LOVED this class, he was very engaging. He treats his student like friends by talking with you rather than to you like in lectures. it is a very friendly environment and he was very helpful. also loved his stories! Favorite class ever, would recommend it to anyone
This was the most interesting class that I have EVER taken at KU! He not only is a great teacher and very engaging but will keep you laughing the whole class period. You learn so much and he makes learning EXTREMELY fun! I would recommend this class to everyone at KU!
This class will be your favorite class ever. Dr. Malcolm is an incredible man, an incredible teacher, and extremely engaging. His stories are either hilarious or emotionally draining (due to the nature of his profession), but are ALWAYS interesting. The best part about them is that you learn as he tells them. Take this class!
I entered this class knowing nothing about sign language. I knew the alphabet. This teacher will keep you totally engaged during class. All of his stories are based on real life situations. My signing skills have greatly improved. I would recommend this teacher to anyone. He is a deaf man who is making a difference in the lives of students.
What can I say. I have taken three classes of American Sign Language from this man. He is totally awesome. Best teacher I have ever had at KU. He is so funny and serious at the same time. He has inspired me 100%.
It was truly amazing how much one student can learn. This professor is so actively involved in his class. I loved going to class each week. He has a great sense of humor. He also taught us about Deaf Culture. I would recommend this class to anyone.
Dr. Malcolm is legitimately one of the best people, let alone professors, I've ever met. He is an amazing teacher, and while SPED 501 keeps a relatively slow pace for signing, you learn SO MUCH about the deaf community. TAKE THIS CLASS.
What a fantastic professor! He's been my favorite I've had so far at KU. I can't rave about him enough. Helpful, engaging, and full of incredibly interesting stories that really help you learn the material. He does digress...for example, he singled out my roommate and her boyfriend in class quite often - funny, but she probably didn't think so.
I loved coming to class each week. This man is so knowledgeable. He has a true passion for his work with children and for his students at KU. He would stay after class and help me with anything that I was stuck on. Not only will you LOVE this class and learn a TON ... you will respect this professor for who and what he is!!!
Wonderful!! Doc covers not only the material but so much deaf culture as well. FIRST class in which I wasn't tempted to sleep though- even once! He's hilarious and will help you not only learn the material but REMEMBER IT. You won't regret taking this class!!!
This was a TOUGH course. Some of our other professors did not always teach what we needed to know. Dr. M. was SO nice. He always helped us when we were not understanding. I would recommend this professor to any one. He is also so FUNNY!
This class was TOUGH! Dr. Malcolm really worked us. Some students thought they were going to get an easy "A" but found out that was not going to be the case in this class. He was very supportive and NEVER gave up on us. I learned a TON.
I learned so much more than just sign language from this professor. He was my absolute favorite professor at KU. He was always willing to help us with the in class projects. I would recommend him to anyone.
Absolutely great learning experience. This man is like the energizer bunny. I don`t know where he gets his energy from!!!
What an inspirational individual. I could not wait to get to class every week. He really KNOWS his stuff!!!
This class is TOUGH. I felt overwhelmed in the beginning. Now that the semester is almost over I can see how much I have learned. He will stay with you after class and help you too. Love this guy!!!!
As a student with a disability I found Dr Malcom to be great. If I needed extrar help, he was always "there" for me. He is a great role model and human being.
He does not "play." He is "tougher" than the other professors. You will really know how to sign when you come out of his class.
B E S T class I have ever taken at KU. All students should be required to take this class!
Loved my ASL class!!!!!!! Cant wait to take another class.
Dr. Malcolm is amazing. ASL 3 is the most challenging ASL class of the bunch but if you seek our his help, he will help you pass. Really all you have to do is try and participate and you'll pass with ease.
If you really want to LEARN ASL, then this is the professor to take a class from. He is very clear at explaining ASL. Some students think the class is tough because they did little work in their prior classes. Dr. Malcolm doesnt play!!! Be ready to work!!!
ASL IV was SO great!!!!! I cant believe how much I have learned in such a short period of time. He is an amazing teacher, mentor and individual!!!!
This was the TOUGHEST class I have ever taken. Dr. Malcolm helped me so much and I learned so much from him. He encouraged me to go to graduate school.
He was my best professor EVER. I learned so much about Deaf Culture in his classes. He was my favorite class to go to every week.
I came into this class thinking I could sign ASL. After the first class, I discovered how far behind I was. The other students who did not take Larry were miles ahead of me. Dr. Malcolm was so understanding. He worked hard to show me different ways to improve my ASL skills. Great teacher who really knew what he was doing.
I learned more from this deaf man then I did in the past 2 years from the other ASL Professors on campus. He should be required to teach all four classes!!!
He really changed my entire life. I loved going to class each week. I came into his class with pretty weak ASL skills. He was there for me and helped prepare me for ASL IV.
The best professor to learn ASL from. He doesn't just sit there and show you, he has other students perform each section of the vocab lists and tells stories all throughout class while signing so it's an easy way to pick up signs.
He is a fantastic professor!! Best one I have ever had at KU !!!
This man has taught me so much. He consistently included me in conversations in the classroom. He focused on me as an individual and wanted to know about me as a person. He REALLY cares about his students. I have never had that happen with any other professor. He is the BEST!!!
I cant believe everything I have learned in this class. He has been my favorite teacher at KU. Everytime he talks, I learn something new.
He is one of the best people I've ever met, and by far the best professor I've ever had at KU. I had him for 3/4 of my ASL classes and learned so much from him, not just about ASL but about the deaf community as a whole. He is an amazing human being, and I recommend taking any of his classes.
This was by FAR the best class I have ever taken at KU. He is so funny and willing to help you sign better and also understand deaf culture. I had learned a lot of bad habits from other instructors and Dr Malcolm helped me clean up my signing. I will always remember him!!
I learned so much from this class. I never knew how to gloss before. Now my whole way of thinking has changed. He is very passionate about what he teaches. Makes coming to class easy.
Awesome teacher and it was great learning sign language from someone in the deaf community. He is the most interesting person I've ever met and his lectures are full of great stories and life lessons!
I learned so MUCH in my ASL III class. He is an incredible human being!!
He expects participation and attendance, but he is one of the most helpful and hilarious teachers on campus.
My favorite teacher at KU thus far. He really cares about his students and gets to know you on a personal level. The final project portion is challenging and the tests were definitely harder than ASL 1 but overall its very doable so long as you show up to class.
He is seriously the funniest teacher, makes lectures fly by with interesting stories. You learn ASL through weekly vocab and his stories because he will sign the entire time. He makes you eager to learn and is super helpful. By far my favorite teacher I have ever had and favorite course each semester. The only class I truly look forward to!
My number one favorite professor is Dr. Malcolm. He is the very best and has such a colorful way of managing a classroom. Before thjs class I heard a lot of wonderful things about him so I had high hopes to begin with. Now havibg been in his class I'm completely impressed. Thanks Dr Malcolm!!
He posts a ton of useful information on Blackboard. He also gives time in class to work on your class project and receive feedback. Great professor to work with.
I just saw my grade. I am soooooo happy. I worked hard with this class and Dr Malcom was fanastic with helping me.
Dr Malcom is extremely engaged with his students. You cant even change your hair or ear rings without him noticing it. He has a strong bond with all of his students. He truly wants us all to succeed.
Thank you so much Dr Malcolm for all your help on my ASL project. My confidence with ASL has improved.
He has such a good sense of humor. He is willing to help with your ASL projects. He is not afraid to deal with the tough issues of ASL interpreting.
I worked really hard in this class. Dr. Malcolm is serious about teaching us correct ASL. My hard work paid off and I respect Dr Malcolm for challenging us!
This man has changed my life forever. He believed in me!! Best and hardest class I have ever taken.
I loved this class so much. The professor is hilarious and really knows his stuff.
I have never LOVED a class as much as I LOVE this class. I enjoyed coming to class everyday. I would recommend this class to anyone.
I cant begin to tell you how much I enjoy this class. He is such a good speaker and his knowledge of ASL is off the chart. I would recommend this class to any one who is up for a challenge.
Dr. Malcolm is possibly the most inspirational person I've ever met. If you get the opportunity take his class.
Excellent professor with timely feedback. His videos really help you study better for the tests
Best on-line class I have ever taken!!!
Excellent teacher!
He is extremely helpful. I was able to work at my own pace and around my other responsiblities on campus. HiIs videos are great!
Love love love and I recommend everyone to enjoy ASL. I had previous experiences and knows how ASL works so It's a easy and fun class for me. He is very reasonable and communicate well. Since it was an online class for me and I had a great time with him!
He is a deaf professor so he really knows his stuff. You can go through the videos at your pace and whenever is best for you during your day. He grades everything immediately.
Taking the class from a deaf professor like Dr Malcom was very beneficial. He not only knows the language but lives the culture every day of his life.
I worked really hard in this class. The professor worked with me to correct signs and sentence structures I had previously learned incorrectly. His videos are very useful.
The summer class is a lot of work but in a short period of time. If you follow his videos, youll do fine. I learned a ton of new information.
I just finished my ASL III summer course. I learned many new skills during this intense summer class. It was difficult but fast and Im glad I took it. Great professor.
I really enjoyed my experience with Professor Malcolm. I feel like I really learned a lot despite the class being online. Be warned - he is kind of a thought grader BUT if you listen to the lectures, pay attention to the syllabus, and look at the rubric, you should do fine.
So the other reviews are lying, he is such a tough grader and you will have to relearn specific signs like your numbers because he does them differently than the other ASL teachers. Start early on the storybook because it is 20% of your grade and it is hard. Do the signs exactly as he does them, including facial expressions
The students that complain about him are the students with bad signing skills. He grades assignments SUPER quick and ALWAYS provides written feedback. He really knows his stuff and will assist you with making corrections.
BEST professor EVER!!
My glossing was a mess before taking this class. Dr Malcom was so helpful with correcting my errors
I was able to take this course even though I was not on campus. It allowed me to work a summer job and take the class at the same time. Mr. Malcolm grades everything fast and I felt I learned a lot of sign language. Can`t wait to take ASL 2
The class was fast paced. Lots of assignments. Feedback is done daily from the teacher. I learned a lot of new information in this class.
This was a tough course that covered a lot of material. I learned a lot of new information. Take advantage of the early reviews of the story book assignment. The professor will help you.
He is very strict with late work. Don`t be late. Gives great feedback. He also offers early reviews. Make sure you do the early reviews. Great guy.
Great class. Follow his feedback when you make mistakes. He will review your class projects for you too.
This was a fast paced class. I learned so much quickly. Make sure everything is submitted on time and do your discussion questions daily. If you have questions email the professor. He is great at responding. He offers early reviews of your class project and if you follow his feedback you will do fine.
I really LOVED my summer class. I had to relearn many things I had learned wrong. He helped me through the process. So happy to have him again as a professor this fall.
Super nice, caring, and I learned a lot!
I took this class asynchronously and occasionally had to email him with questions. He didn't respond very quickly but it was never more than 5 days. Since it was asynchronous, he posted lots of videos which made the expectations for signing very clear but if videos are not easy for you to learn from then this class will be very hard.
I took his ASL I online course. I have never had a professor grade assignments so quickly. He always wanted to make sure we had accurate feedback.
I worked hard for my final grade in this course. While it wasn`t an A, Dr Malcom was wonderful. He helped me every step of the way. His feedback helped me to improve my signing ability.
I had an awesome semester in his class. Can`t wait to take the next level from him.
There is a lot of work in this class. You have to be organized. Grades everything fast so you don`t make the same mistakes on the next assignment. I feel very prepared for ASL IV.
He is the reason I got accepted into graduate school. Wrote an amazing reference for me!
I learned alot of information in a short period of time. The Storybook project was alot of work. Take advantage of the early review that he offers. He gives good feedback.
I learned ALOT of new signs in a short period of time. The class was challenging but worth it.
I really enjoyed this class. It was all online so I could work on my assignments throughout the week. He wrote an amazing letter of reference for me to get into Grad School.
The asynchronous (and quite unorganized) online platform of ASL III was not conducive to the way I learn languages, but this was the only option I had. I wish there had been more opportunities for collaboration and feedback besides discussion boards. Also, why was the last week of class worth 60% of my grade!? That has been the most stressful part!
I just received my grade for ASL III. I am soooo happy. I came into the class with weaknesses in my ASL skills. The asynchronous environment gave me all week to work on my assignments and perfect them. Everything was so well organized and the professor provides video instructions and you can watch them as much as you want.
I learned so much in this class. Everything is done online so I was able to work at my own pace each week. His feedback is delivered super fast so you will know what mistakes you are making. He does not tolerate any late work so stay on top of the weekly assignments.
This class was online and worked well for me. Everything is super organized. The main project for the class is due at the end of the course. He gives you all semester to work on it. He even gives you an opportunity to submit your project to him early to get feedback on how to improve your grade on your project.
He gave us all semester to work on our song project. It was not due until the last day of class. If you wanted extra help you could submit for an early review and he would help you with anything you needed. Not many professors will do that for you.
He is one of the fastest professors I know for giving feedback. Loved the class. He is straight forward with. his feedback and does not show favoritism. He is incredibly organized and so is his class material. He gives you the full semester to do the major class assignment. If you wait to the end of the semester to start it you 'll be screwed.
I honestly took this class because I hated my french class and thought this class would be easy. The class was NOT easy. I learned alot! Now I love the language and my only regret is that DrM is not teaching ASL 2 next semester.
This class was challenging. The professor is deaf and takes his teaching seriously. He doesnt accept late work and clearly makes that known. His videos provide all the information you need to pass his class. Stay on top of your weekly assignments.
Never saw myself studying a foreign language. I love ASL and learning about Deaf Culture. professor is amazing.
Get ready to work. He takes his teaching seriously. He really wants you to learn about the Deaf Community and American Sign Language. I would definitely take his class again.
All the information you need is on his weekly videos. He is very organized. He grades assignments fast and if you have questions he will respond to your quickly. He is deaf so he knows what he is doing with sign language. Make sure your assignments are not late. He does not accept late assignments.
I really enjoyed this class! Most online classes I've taken in the past have been unengaging, and I finished feeling like I didn't learn anything. The way the course is set up is very user-friendly and easy to understand while still challenging you. I've learned a lot and would take all of his future ASL classes if I could.
He was great to work with all semester. Very organized and grades things quickly. Offers an early review option so you can gain feedback on your class project before it is submitted. Take him up on this offer and you'll do well on the final project.
I love learning sign language from a deaf person. He gave us all semester to work on our ASL projects. He even reviewed our work for us before we gave it back to him for a grade. Im excited to take ASL IV from him. I learn a lot of new information.
I entered this class not knowing as much as I thought I did. My previous classes were fun but I was lacking in my asl skills. I learned a lot of new information in this course. Dr Malcom gave me great feedback on my early review assignment and I was able to imrpove in his class.
He made me a better signer. He pushed me to keep learning. He will not accept any late assignments so don't wait until the last minute to do your homework. He helped me get into graduate school and Im thankful.
This was an online class. I was thankful for that because I also have a job and I could still take the class. He lets you work on your class project all semester and will offer you an early review. if you take him up on his offer to help, he will REALLY help you. He has no favorites in class. Do the work well and you'll pass.
I am so happy with my final grade. I was worried about my final project but I followed Dr Malcolm feedback and did great. He wrote me a letter to get into Grad School. Thank you Dr Malcolm. Off to Grad School I go!!!
I loved taking this class online. Everything was well organized and my signing skills improved. He was a great professor to work with and gives feedback to you quickly.
Thank you Dr Malcolm. I loved class and learned many new things.
He was tough on me during this course but my signing improved. He's the reason I'm headed to Graduate school this Fall. Wrote me a great letter!!
Thank you for helping me get into graduate school. The course was tough but he helped me get through it. Dr Malolm is deaf and really knows his stuff.
I will never forget the "GRACE" that Dr Malcolm showed me during ASL I. I made a major blunder and he helped me work through it even though it made more work for him. I wish more professors were as caring as him.
I never saw myself as someone who be learning sign language. I took this accelerated course and with the assistance of Dr Malcom I'm now advancing to the ASL 2 class. I like the way the course is organized and I was able to keep my daily work schedule while still taking this class. Highly recommend this course.
I entered into ASL 3 and quickly discovered I was not prepared for this material. I thought I knew alot of ASL from my other ASL classes. I had to work extra hard to catch up with the other ASL 3 students. Dr Malcolms videos really helped me and Im happy to be catch up and moving forward to ASL 4.
This class is fast paced. Do your work, ask questions and you'll do fine. He will not accept late work. He gives you the entire time in the course to do your ASL project. Get started early and he will review your work early before he grades it. He is deaf and knows what he is talking about but he takes his teaching seriously.
I plan to be an audiologist and found that this class will help me in my future career.
Class is very fast paced. I feel like I learned so much. He grades assignments quickly.
This course is challenging. I learned a lot through this course. He is a great teacher!
I made a good choice to take this class from a deaf teacher like Dr Malcolm. The course is fast paced and you need to commit to it everyday. Follow his daily feedback on assignments and you will do well.
This professor is tough but fair. His feedback helped me improve my ASL skills. The class is fast-paced, but using Unstuckstudy for study prep made it manageable.
I can into ASL 3 thinking I knew alot of sign language. I quickly found out that I had not learned what I needed to from my other classes. This professor is deaf and helped get me caught up. He is a tough grader and will challenge you.
I wish he was teaching ASL IV.
This man does lots of work with children with disabilities. Even with everything he has to do everyday, he still took the time to write a letter of recommendation for me to go to graduate school. He is a tough professor but fair.
I have taken two of his classes and they are very fast. Having to learn a visual language online is not practical. Every time I take an online class with him I feel behind when I take an in person class the next semester because I feel like I do not learn anything. He seems like a really sweet guy but the online style is not working very well.
I learned so much in this course that I did not learn in my other ASL classes. He always answered my questions quickly. Tests are graded quickly each week so I knew what mistakes I was making and did not repeat them. He will give you an honest review of your signing skills.
He is a very tough grader and also not a very good responder to emails. He also grades very hard for minor mistakes which makes it hards to get a good grade. There is no extra credit or rounding and does not work with you on grades.
I worked really hard in this class. Dr. Malcom was great at responding to my e-mails quickly each time I needed to speak to him. He always offered fantastic advice on how I could improve my signing. Take him up on his offer for an early review of your signing project for this course. It really helped to improve my grade.
I love working with Dr Malcom. He has really helped me with my glossing skills. He grades everything super quick and is fast with responding to any questions. He wrote me a letter of recommendation for Graduate School. Love the guy!
So glad I took this class from a deaf professor. You really learn how to sign better in this course. Can't wait to take ASL 4 with him.
I love that this course was offered online. It allowed me to do my classwork after my job each day. I could do everything from home and not have to travel to campus. All aspects of the course are well organized. He also gives you all week to work on your assignments. Just don't submit them late or you'll receive zeros.
I just found out I'm going to Graduate School. Thank you Dr Malcolm for your letter of recommendation.
The professor assigned an expensive textbook that was never used. When I tried to use it to improve my skills, I got a very low score on the assignment bc my signs were 'wrong' (not his shorthand). Overall, he was difficult, hard to reach, and punishing. I was so excited to learn ASL and I felt like he was rooting against me the whole semester.
So happy I was able to take this class. I almost did not get in the class because it was always full. The course is organized and follows each chapter of the textbook. If you have questions, he is always available through texting or email.
You'll get out of this course what you put into it. He gives you all week to do your assignments. The deaf culture assignments are from the textbook and his videos follow the textbook weekly lessons. I have NEVER had a professor respond to my emails so quickly. He is ALWAYS willing to help. Great guy!
I'm so happy with my grade in this course. When I arrived to ASL III I was signing alot of things wrong. This teacher helped me with my corrections with my double letters and numbers. I also did not understand how to gloss and now I do. He provided me quick feedback each week which allowed me time to improve. He also reviewed my story book project.
I learned many new concepts in this course and improved my signing skills. He wrote my letter of recommendation for me to get into graduate school. Love the guy!!
This professor is super quick at grading tests and assignments. You have all week to submit your assignments. You get your feedback each week on all your assignments within 24 hours. GReat experience in class.
You have all week to complete assignments. He offers early reviews of the project and his feedback is helpful. You do a silent event assignment where you can read a book about deaf people, go to the deaf museum in olathe, the school for the deaf in olathe, a deaf movie. It allows you a chance to practice your signing in real life situations.
I just finished my accelerated ASL I summer class. It was fast paced and assignments were always returned with grades the same evening. Everything was online. I cant believe how much sign language I learned so quickly. Amazing professor!
I just finished my summer ASL 3 class. It went by fast and I learned many new concepts in a fast period of time. You have to study ALOT during the summer class but it is worth it. I cannot wait to take ASL 4.
The course is very well organized. He provides specific feedback daily. I was worried about taking an accelerated course but it all worked out well. Cannot believe how quickly the class went and how much I have learned. Bring on ASL III.
The course was well organized and I improved my ASL skills. I wish he taught ASL Four online.
As ssoon as I came into this course I quickly realized that other students were ahead of me. I found ASL I and ASL II to be courses where I got an easy "A." My other courses in ASL did not prepare me for ASL III. This professor helped me to get caught up and to realize that learning is not always about getting an "A." He is well respected.
Everything is so well organized for this course. If you follow his syllabus you'll have no problems. The dues dates for everything are exactly the same each week so you never have to worry about sending in anything late. He even offers early feedback on the major project for the course. Follow his advise on how to improve your skills.
The entire course is asynchronous. The professor is deaf so you are learning from someone who actually uses the language daily. He gives you all week to complete the assignments. Everything is well organized and as long as you submit your assignment by 10pm each Friday, you will be ok. Just dont submit late. He doesnt play favorites with students.
Super fast to give feedback on assignments so you can correct your mistakes. You have a full week to do your assignments. I was glad that this course was offered online so I was able to take it since Im not on campus.
ASL was different from perosivius teachings, grades were never consistent. Feed back was useless, no opportunities to actually learn.
He lets you take all week to do assignments. He gives written feedback on all assignments each week. All lessons are videotaped so you can watch them over and over. I have learned a TON of new signs in this course. He does not accept any late work so submit everything on time.
Loved the course and the professor. Everything was clearly explained and laid out from day one. He always responded to my e-mails in a timely manner.
Everything was well organized. He broke our major class project down into individual parts. He even gave us an early review with his feedback on our signing skills before he graded us. He wrote a wonderful letter of recommendation for me to go to graduate school.
I learned many signs during my time in ASL. The professor is strict but will push you to do your best. Turn all your assignments in on time each week. Watch all his videos throughout the week. I took his online course so he allows us to work with the videos all week.
I only took this course to fulfill my foreign language credit. I never thought learning sign language would be so challenging. The professor pushed me to excel and learn this new language. I felt challenged every week and im now thankful I took this class and learned about a new culture.
I have never had a professor grade my assignments and give me written feedback weekly. He also sent me weekly emails riding my butt to follow up with me to do better in class. I ended up passing the course and I'm thankful for his caring about me.
