Very nice guy, you need to ask questions to understand, he's very intelligent - so he doesn't always know when the students aren't keeping up....... I passed so it isn't that hard.

I don't know why no one likes him....but I thought he was great. Very helpful

this teacher was pretty good, great personality, which made his class fun and interesting. sometimes it was hard to understand his examples, but overall he's a good teacher

Professor Palcic was informative and friendly. He was nonintimidating, and casual. The class required the student to be well prepared and up-to-date with regards to the material.

As a straight A student, I will say this wasn't one of the easier classes I've taken. The class is primarily on a stats program, which isn't difficult. The grades are heavily weighted to the final and midterm (70%) which makes this a bad class if you aren't great on tests. Teacher very willing to meet with you to help, not easy material though!

I took him through online class and he was an awesome teacher. always keeping us updated, letting us take tests twice, giving extra credit and very easy to meet up with. take him for online classes. easier that way.

I took his online Stats class my first year back to college. He always responded to my emails when I had questions. Your best bet is to work ahead and not try to get everything done on the due date. Mid-term and finals had a lot of information, but they aren't "hard." I highly recommend his online class.

Although I was late enrolling, Mr. Palcic worked with me to get me into the self-paced course. He was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire course and was always willing to help. I couldn't have had a better experience. I don't have any idea how he is in the traditional class, but he was awesome in the online course. Thanks again

I took the online class which was hard work for me, being math-challenged. Prof. Palcic offered meetings for the online students at the math center which were helpful. After meeting him, I really wished I could have taken Stats with him in the classroom rather than online. Those who like "word problems" will be fine online.

Ron is a fabulous teacher! The work is not hard, but it takes time to do. He grades tests on a curve. He is friendly and approachable, funny, goes out of his way to help, expects each student to succeed, and adapts the class to meet the students' needs. He rocks! Just keep up with the homework and you will be fine on the quizzes and tests.

I took the self pace online course without any prior knowledge of the course. It had been 19 years since I took a college level Math course. I successfully passed with the help of Professor Palcic. He was extremely pleasant and helpful. He would go out of his way to help me with this course. The new online final matches the coursework.

Course taken over the summer online. Mr Palcic was very supportive from the beginning. Very clear syllabus, stressing deadline for midterm and final. Tests can me taken multiple times to get best grade. E.C.for midterm/final practice test. Section exams (certifies) force you to learn material, have to start over if you miss 1-2. Passed w/ A.

Mr. Palcic is a great teacher. Really cares for his students and wants them to learn the material. He is so easy to understand and will do almost anything to help his students pass. I would for sure take his online class, it is fair and goes with the material in the book.

Mr. Palcic is amazing. I had a love hate relationship with this class: I hated statistics (it was a necessary prerequisite), but I LOVED Mr. Palcic. I loved taking Algebra with Ron Palcic online last spring. There is a slight learning curve for the Hawkes software that is used throughout the class, but I was happily surprised at how effective this online system was. Gives extra credit, is helpful, called me when I was confused about the first test location. YOU HAVE TO LEARN ALGEBRA TO PASS!

Take Ron Palcic, take Ron Palcic! TAKE RON PALCIC! His classes are clear from the beginning, there are many opportunities to take practice exams for extra credit and late work is accepted (not advised.) The online software is great; this was my second class with Palcic and the Hawkes Learning which made it even easier. MUST LEARN STATS TO PASS!

I have taken two online classes for credit. Both were very challenging, requiring a great deal of study and copious assignments. It has been my experience that the instructors at JCCC, specifically Ron Palcic, have been key to my success. Mr. Palcic makes himself available at any time and his mastery of math allows for concise, invaluable help.

Stats is not easy but this course is really straightforward. Work is done online. Chapters are broken up into smaller sections with a quiz. A week, sometimes more, per chapter. There are lots of deadlines as it is NOT self paced, but you can work ahead. Also, Prof. is great about emailing you deadline reminders which saved me more than once.

Mr. Palcic is a great online instructor! Whenever I had a question, he answered promptly and even offered to schedule appointments to help on any STAT questions that I had. He has to be the best online instructor I have ever had, which is especially wonderful if you choose to be brave and take STAT online.

I took the online version of this class but it was very easy to keep up with. You can shoot him an email and expect a prompt response. He was very nice and graded fairly. You have homework for each lesson and homework quizzes for each chapter, doing well on the majority should get you an A. Would recommend him for online!

Amazing teacher who is there if you need the help. stats is a hard class, especially teaching yourself Stats online. He always took time to help me understand new chapters, calculator tricks even on night/weekends. Amazing teacher! If you take online, he's the best!

Prof. Palcic's online stats course was refreshing and organized. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense, the online program is smooth and straightforward, and the material is laid out in a way that makes it easy to learn and improve on mistakes. If you're looking to take Calculus I at JCCC, Ron Palcic is your best choice for a professor. Wickedly smart, supportive and charming, his lecturing style is an absolute gem. Despite this course being extremely rigorous, reach out to him once and you will know that all he wants is for you to get the grade you desire. (I'm just bad at math...)

I took online Stat w Prof Palcic. He is very quick at returning emails if you have questions and always update your grade status in class. We used Hawkes Learning platform. I rarely used the book, just study from what's on there. A lot of quizzes/tests but not difficult if you study. Midterms and Finals are taken in testing center on campus.

He is great! Tests are really hard, but other things make up for it.

Professor Palcic is a great professor. College Algebra is hard, it isnt an easy course and I think thats the issue with alot of opinions about him, people want it to be easy when it isnt. His online course was so easy to use and it was very organized. He always reached out and encouraged us to talk with him if we were struggling. Solid choice!

I took College Algebra Online with Ron, it was super easy, he sent lots of reminders when things were due which was very helpful. He responds to emails really fast and gave SEVERAL extra credit opportunity. Tests and quizzes were very similar to study guide (almost exact). And you had unlimited tries on everything but midterm and final.

Professor Palcic is amazing! The format of his class helps you to get an easy A if you put in the work! You can do every homework unitl you get 100% and you have 3 attempts for every quiz. Also, the practice midterm and final are extra credit!

Palcic was a long-term substitute for my College Algebra class when the original professor was out. He was REALLY nice and knowledgeable. I could always go to his office hours when I needed help. He rounded up my letter grade and I passed. Sort of surprised he has many negative reviews (granted, this class was probably just easy & fun for him).

This class is done through Hawkes Learning and there is next to no contact with the professor. There is homework literally every single night, so you MUST prioritize. Expect homework to take at *least* 1-3 hours every day, depending on how good you are at math. Be prepared to spend at a minimum 15-20 hrs a week to really understand the material.

Professor Palcic is a tough Professor and makes you work for the grade you want. With that being said he is more than willing to work with people outside of class 1v1 and give very great help. He is a class act and a great man, and a solid choice for a professor.
