Best lab professor on campus. Gives a whole new meaning to extra credit!! I had a three hour lab and he used to let us out after 30 minutes.

First off he helps you so much with extra credit its crazy, but he does get you to learn but in a different way. Second he's really nice to look at so thats a HUGE plus!! Take him!

Easiest astronomy/physics teacher out there. Extra credit in abundance. If you play your cards right, you could go into the final with a D or C and probably come out with an A (provided you participate in class. That's where the bulk of the EC comes from)

Ex Cred is a must.You will get a C in the class if you don't do it.Plus make sure you keep all your papers cuz he messed up my grade big time!He does let the class out early basically every time.

Mr. Wallingford is the easiest teacher I've had at CSUN. He really knows the subject well and he wants everyone to get an A. There's tons of extra credit and he lets the class out after 20 minutes! Take his astronomy lab class if you have the chance.

Real cool teacher. let me enroll late. also said if u do all the hw & turn it in, ur guaranteed a "C." subject is hard, but he makes it easier w/ examples & corny humor. tests are kinda graded on a curve, but he does offer plenty of extra credit for those who volunteer in class. Prof. Ron made Physics quite bearable. I had never taken it but he made is okay, and with his extra credit points, he made it quite possible to get an A. He also lets us use cheat sheats on the exams so it is quite cool. You do have the study for the exams cause they were a little bit hard at times.

he is a funny guy. makes class fun. lots of extra credit during class by answering questions and outside opportunites. talks fast, but will clarify anything, esp giving answers if u need it. if u do bad on exams, can still get a C. 1/2 open note and 1/2 closed for vocab.

test & quiz's are multiple choice. there's plenty of extra credit. if you still can't get an "A" from all that, just turn in your homework to pass the class. you just can't go wrong with this professor!

He's intelligent, funny, and loves giving out candy (aka extra credit)! If you can put up with slightly uncomfortable seats and occasionally getting pelted with a Crunch bar, you'll get through this class with a good grade and a grin on your face. You'll also learn! He's only late sometimes...

cool teacher...if u do all your extra credit, you can get up to 48% of extra credit. Also curves the tests alottt...makes it easy to pass!

by far the best teacher ive had at csun. so much xtra credit its impossible not to pass with little effort. curves tests: for lecture class tests are out of 50 but graded out of 40! multi choice, slightly challenging, but do xtra credit. very interesting too! makes subject easy and fun to learn. very funny, always cracking jokes. highly recommend

Pretty laid back professor and also has a great sense of humor. Lots and lots of extra credit and it doesn't even require minimal effort! Doesn't take role but if you participate in class, you get extra credit. Study from the study guide & do the EC. Man this professor is real good looking for his age. And he's really FUNNY!!!! I love him! DO NOT take any other astronomy professor, cuz Wallingford is the best one. The tests are a bit hard..but that's because i never studied. And he gives out A LOT(AND I MEAN "A LOT") of extra credit work. so you wont have a hard time in his class.

Ron makes a dreaded class fun and interesting. I had to take this class for GE and actually got an A. Take advantage of all the extra credit offered. Start early so you won't stress for the final. Pay attention in class or a flying extra credit candy might hit you.

SO EASY! He gives sooo much extra credit, and only 3 tests + the final. He drops the lowest one, even if it's the final! I haven't even taken the final yet, and I have an A in the class, even though I failed the latest test. He also puts it on a curve. You don't need to read, just buy his notes from the bookstore. Fun class!

Very interested in the subject. Funny too. Lots of extra credit, you will not need it if you study. 1st exam, book and notes. 2nd exam, notes. 3rd exam, study guide. Did not need extra credit or final. One of the best general education classes out there. A if you are willing to study.

SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT!!!!! class is a good one to take for astronomy, he knows subject very well and hands out extra credit like its candy - -and literally is a little sheet wrapped around in candy. Very helpful. Don't have to open book. Buy notes from bookstore adn ask a few questions for clarity and your good.

ok the only problem with this class is the class room itself...the seats are so far back and the lights are so dim to the point where all you can do is just sleep!!!! lots of extra credit tho...you can raise your grade by 40% just with extra cedit. he is also very funny, talks a lottttt, and lectures non stopppp. tests are very hard, so study!!!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!! I loved this class so much--he's a great guy, really funny and he has interesting lectures. Earn a good grade with the help of billions of extra credit points (with candy!) that he gives out daily. He always helps with anything you ask, knows his stuff, and is just a super super cool guy. very easy professor. test are slightly wordy but he gives you sample questions so you should be good! i bombed like two tests and still got an A with all the extra credit he gives just make sure do everything you can! go to the star parties! i really enjoyed this class and if he taught other classes i would totally take him!

One of the best professores at CSUN. He really cares about students and gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit, inlcuding free candy to anyone who anwers his questions correctly in class. He puts all these astronomical terms in a language us (non-science majors) can understand!

Great teacher, smart, funny, offers a lot of extra credit. I recommened getting ahead early in the class, by the last month and a half I only had to get a 40% on one of the last two tests. (he drops the lowest test score) So pipe up shout out answer and get extra credit.

I wish I had this guy for every class. I had so much extra credit that I only needed to score 20% on the last test and I didn't even have to take the final in order to keep an A in the class. Take him if you can!

good professor. really knows his stuff. i had his class one day a week and 3 hours of astronomy was a little too much but he does his best to make it interesting. A LOT of opportunities for extra credit. there is no excuse for a bad grade in this class. he's a fun guy. he gives breaks during lecture which is good because the topics are boring

Wallingford's class is very easy. Just as long as you participate in class discussion, you can earn 2 extra credit points per day! He also curves the exams depending on how the class as a whole did on it. He gives 3 midterm exams & a final. But the final is not mandatory when you secure your grade. I know I didn't have to. His class was THAT easy.

Enthusiastic and fun- this is not a difficult class, just study for the tests and show up to class. Wallingford makes it very easy to get a good grade, the man wants to help you out so take advantage of it if you need it. Highly recommended.

Passes max of 2 extra credit slips a day (wrapped around candy bars nonetheless) just for answering questions in class. Makes studying easy, since he spends 15 minutes on review every day. Ron was a way cool prof. I took his class at 8 in the morning and he was able to keep me awake. Very energetic. He teaches the class knowing most people taking it as GE and have no plans of taking another astronomy class. Ridiculous amount of EC opportunities. Almost impossible to get below an A if you show up every day. Buy the notes!

HE IS A REALLY NICE GUY. HE DOES GIVE YOU A LOT OF X-TRA CREDIT. TEST ARE A BIT HARD IF YOU DON'T STUDY, BUT SINCE YOU HAVE SOOOOOO MUCH X-TRA CREDIT IT DOES NOT MATTER. EASY CLASS.

first of all DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. BUY the notes. he doesn't take attendance, but that's the only way you'll really absorb the material. & it makes the tests super easy. LOTS & LOTS of extra credit which is nice. DO IT! It makes all the difference. He's fun and doesn't take it too seriously. Always joking & makes class more fun. NO MATH = AWESOME :)

WOW. EASY as PIE (as long as you do the online hw, it IS!) if you dont understand anything, its best to go to the book and read it, other than that I never cracked open the book myself, only did the hw and got an A. (I even skipped one of the tests) As stated, LOTS of extra credit!

VERY easy to pass with a C. B's need to do well on the quizzes and tests. very helpful grading system. i basically failed every test and quiz, but managed to pass with a C. homework can be tedious, but can be found online to help solve.

One of the best professors ever! Lost of extra credit, he drops your lowest score and does not take attendence. He is also funny and really down to earth. Take him if you want an easy class.

He is a really chill professor. Really helpful and nice and VERY VERY EASY!!! 3 test and a final; if you like your grade after the 3rd test you dont have to take the final since he drops the lowest test score. If you can memorize terms then the tests will be easy. A lot of extra credit and you DON'T NEED TO BUY THE BOOK only his lecture notes.

He taught the simple material of the chapters but left us to figure out the hard problems on our own. He curves amazingly so almost guaranteed you'll pass. Unless you want an A or a B then it's questionable how much effort you'll put.

Mr. Wallingford's class can best be described as Extra Credit Galore!! He gives you virtually all the extra credit in the world to pass with an A!! Rest assured, you are just lazy if you get anything below a B in his class. Also be sure to attend every class because he is one funny dude and throws candy (laced with extra credit) at you for answering questions! Basically, loathe those with priority registration, and feel privileged to take him if you can! This instructor gave me hope in earning a bachelor's degree!

Professor Wallingford accomplished an amazing feat. He made me like astronomy. He was really chill and funny. It felt like he really cared about his students. While his tests were not easy he gave so much extra credit opportunities which made a huge difference.

He is a really good teacher. He really cares about the subject and shows you why. His tests are reasonable and most of the grade and there's a lot of curving involved. You dont even have to go to class often, if you are good at studying. However, whatever you do don't get behind.

DO ALL THE HOMEWORK It will save your grade. You're graded out of 1100 points and need 900 for a B. Do all of the extra credit possible and you can earn well over 120 points just from extra credit alone. Exams are insane as are quizzes. Super nerdy; laughs at his own jokes but knows his physics. You have to be retarded to not to get a at least a C.

Best option for lab. Offers a LOT of extra credit. It's hard NOT to get an A. Explains material well and makes lame, cute jokes. Very attractive. :)

You say astronomy is hard? Not with professor Wallingford it isn't. He knows his material, gives extra-credit, and is funny. It's not necessary to read the book, since he has his own notes. He gives 3 exams and a final, but if you did well on the 3 exams you don't have to take the final. It's highly possible to get an A.

Amazing teacher his helpfulness could be felt and i took his online class. I recommend him to anyone. I missed the final and after contacting him he opened the test on moodle again, wouldnt have passed the class if he didnt.

Super fun, awesome and a really nice teacher! If you do well on all the midterms, there is no need to take the final! Be sure to participate in class, it counts as extra credit. He also gives a lot of extra credit options, so even if you don't do so well on a test, the extra credit will boost your grade up a lot!

Dr. Wallingford is one of the nicest people I've come across and it shows during his lecture. He really loves Physics, is incredibly knowledgable, and wants his students to understand. Although the quizzez and exams are difficult, he gives TONS of extra credit and it really helps. Attend EVERY lecture and do all the homework. Great professor!

This professor is great! He is really animated about the topic and makes it enjoyable to learn. Attendance was high throughout the semester. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should go because the tests are taken from the lecture and his notes (get those from the print shop!). He doesn't use the textbook much, but it is really helpful to read.

GREAT Professor. You're done with his class when you finish your work. So if you work hard you can be done with class in 15 min. Do all of the labs and you'll get an A. The tests are open note except for the vocab part. TAKE HIM!! Easy A.

If you cannot get at least a C in this class, consider dropping out of CSUN or changing your major. The curve for this class is ridiculous where a 600/1100 is a C. Oh, and he does not use the +/- so a C- is still a C. Did not study at all and ended up with a C. Anyway, he is very enthusiastic, has a cheesy sense of humor. Take his class if you can!

Very nice, and funny. He lectures for about 10-15 min and lets you do the work on your own, and you leave when you are finished, take his class! Participate, and do the work and you'll get an A for sure.

Prof Wallingford is one of the best professors at CSUN. The material may not be fun, but he makes it to be interesting in his lectures. He reviews previous material at the beginning of each class. You must read his book of notes and the text book in order to pass.There is a total of 3 midterms and an optional final. Gives out a lot of extra credit!

Everything was laid out perfectly. There are lessons to review, assignments to complete, and then an online quiz to complete.

I took his online class. He is nice and clear about his assignments. There's a lesson, assignment, quiz every week and one final. Study the quiz questions as he pulls most of the questions from the final from there and go over the main concepts in the assignments. Lots of extra credit. I wouldn't mind taking his class again.

I LOVED HIM, he made my semester such a great one. He would explain the material so well, you have chance to get 2 points extra credit every lecture. His tests were fair game and were exactly what he taught. He is really funny, it helps if you sit up front, its easier to get extra credit. If you can take him!

Funny and nice guy and he gives A LOT OF Extra Credit. However, this is not the class for you if you want to learn physics. He explains concepts really quick, and he doesn't cover everything. Tests had concepts that were not covered in class. I had to work extremely hard for a B, but it is really easy to get a C without trying.

He's such an easy A. If you answer questions in class he'll pass out candy wrapped in extra credit points. If you show up and speak up now and then there is no reason you shouldn't have an A. there are 3 tests and a final, but he'll drop your lowest grade. Easy and fun!

Professor Wallingford is great at teaching a subject that most people would find difficult. The more you participate the more extra credit you get towards your grade. Also gives extra credit for video notes from class. Just show up, study, participate, and you'll be fine. Good for an 8 am class.

Wallingford, Is the best Astronomy professor! Take him if you can! It's an easy online class but also you will learn! There is only one exam and that is the Final Exam. One assignment and quiz every week and also extra credit points!

Professor Wallingford may be the greatest man alive. Here are the basics in the course: He gives a lot of EC; his tests are mostly based on math that he does on the overboard and all of the formulas within the text (even if he's never mentioned it before); DO THE HW (you'll get EC from there too); Go to office hours; it'll only help you. If you want to pass Physics100B with an easy A, take him. If you want to learn physics. Don't take him. He is the only teacher i would ever wake up for an 8:am class for. He's funny and THE AMOUNT OF EXTRA CREDIT HE GIVES. I recommend him!!

The best professor I have had at CSUN so far. Very fair grading system, very possible to get an A in the class without taking the final. Great teacher and gears his class heavily towards engineering application. Recommend Chegg Study for the HW and you are allowed a cheat sheet for every exam. Definitely take for physics!!

The book actually helps, would highly recommend to read it! He is very nice; you will pass his class if you study. This class is better and way easier than Phys220A. He gives extra credit. His class is fun !

Love this guy! Had him at 8am and he had me dying of laughter each time. Can't say I learnedly much though. But SOOOOO much extra credit, it's easy to get an A. He throws candy at you too! 6 quizzes, 4 tests, and extra credit hw. I would recommend if you want to have fun and get an A.

Easy class, every week there's an assignment that's open all week and a quiz thats open for 24 hours. Doesn't reply to emails but he has office hours you can go to. Not hard at all, easy GE class.

He is an extremely easy teacher. Do the HW and make a good cheat sheet for test and you wont even have to take the final for his class.

I loved taking his class he is so nice. All exams multiple choice. You only take 3 midterm and a Final. For classwork you watch a video in class and then take notes on them then turn in in class. He gives a lot of extra credit. He also takes out the lowest score on one of your Exams. I definitely recommend taking his class :)

Clear lectures. Funny professor. Allows cheat sheets. Exams consist of like 10-14 theoretical and problem solving multiple choice questions, and 1 or 2 written problems. Take good notes and do well on the exams. The online homework can take a while to complete but shouldn't affect how you perform on the exams. Only needed a 22% on my final for an A
