Great teacher! Kind and funny. Easy A. Grading criteria is unclear, syllabus is unclear, structure of class is unclear. However, Ron is great at explaining things in class. If you take notes on the explanations for the speeches than you will do great. Requirements for papers are clear. He answers emails SO fast. He cares about this students.

This isn't a class where you can do nothing and get an A. However if you listen, participate and practice you'll find a great grade and develop some great skills

Great for all majors or if you just want to try something new. It will enhance your writing and presentations in all of your classes. Sometimes unclear on assignments and due dates, but he will clarify or answer any questions if you ask him.

This was one of the best classes I have taken at BYU and it is in large part because of the teacher. He pushes you to get out of your comfort zone and become a better speaker and person. Take this class!

Professor Wilkinson begins the class asking that you question his credibility, setting the tone for you to analyze speech in all ways possible. He offers specific feedback and wants the students to succeed in improving their speech delivery.

FANTASTIC class. Gives honest feedback and really helps you develop as a public speaker. He makes you stick to his format, but it is crazy effective!! Trust me, you will come to appreciate it. All in all, an amazing professor. Don't leave college without taking a public speaking class- and don't leave BYU without taking it from Prof. Wilkinson!

BEST class this semester - maybe ever!

This class was so much fun! I highly recommend it for anyone, whether they want to become a better speaker or just want an easy credit. The class is incredibly fun and Professor Wilkinson cares a lot about your success. He is also really aware of the heavy loads of other classes. I would definitely take it again.

Professor Wilkinson is a great professor who cares about his students. The class isn't too hard, but you must be willing to work hard. There are lots of extra credit opportunities offered as well. Overall, great class.

Prof. Wilkinson is a very inspiring instructor. Even without knowing his qualifications, you can tell from the way he engages the class that he really knows what he's talking about. One of the best online classes I have ever taken. He is always willing to help and explain anything you are confused on. Doing the reading helps a ton. Ron is SUCH a good teacher, and so good at what he does! A 2.5 hour class sounds pretty painful, but he makes the time fly. Very good lecturer, fair grader, tons of opportunities for extra credit. You do have to put in the time outside of class to put together effective speeches, but nothing more than would be expected. Take this class from Ron!!

If you are looking for a class that will teach you invaluable life skills and still be a gpa booster, then take this class from Ron Wilkinson! If you go to class it is not difficult to get an A, however be aware that you must put in time outside of class to prepare speeches each week. I am now a much more confident speaker. Plus, it was fun!

I LOVED this class! Professor Wilkinson was a fun teacher who is passionate about public speaking. This was probably the most applicable-to-life classes I've taken and I know it has benefited me for my future career. As for the class, the most work you put in is towards your speeches. If you put in the time and effort, you will get a good grade!

Professor Wilkinson's career as a lawyer is very evident in his teaching style, though I felt like this made the class more useful. He used lots of real-life application and seemed to care about each student. His grading system is fair and he wants each student to succeed. Overall, I had a great experience this semester.

Professor Wilkinson didn't have on-campus office hours, but he was available by text or email most times of the day. He is a very down-to-earth guy and matter-of-fact when telling students what is expected. He gives great examples of all of the types of speeches and assignments. A great class simply for improving skills, not just for the credit.

Professor Wilkinson gives great feedback on each and every one of the speeches. Students who plan on missing more than 3 classes will have to make up for the speech in class. Don't bother to take it if you are going to miss more than 3 classes.

If you're going to take public speaking, take it from Professor Wilkinson. As long as you follow the formula, you'll do really well. TONS of extra credit opportunities even if you're not perfect. You can use notes for all your speeches except for the last one. It's a great class to just improve your skills in a really low-stress environment.

This class is calm, not too stressful, he's a fair grader and very straightforward. No tests, just speeches. If you put in the effort to get an A, you will have no problem at all. Ron is just an amazing person. You will not regret taking this class unless you don't want to learn about public speaking.

Wonderful teacher, I took public speaking and despite not always loving the class I feel like I grew in a great way. He is extremely kind and involved with the students. He makes you feel comfortable with public speaking.

I took the class in the Summer term. This class was less stressful than I thought it would be, and I think that I got the grade that I deserved. It was super busy, so I didn't have time to read the textbook, although the professor tells you how to prepare yourself. I have improved a lot, even though I know I didn't know that hard for it.

He sends you reminders when you forget turning something in which I believe that's the first professor that has done this to me. But it shows me that he cares about us! Makes you work hard, and is a tough grader, but he also offers good feedback.

Brother Wilkinson is a wonderful professor. You really won't regret taking his class. He helps you become a better public speaker with the material he uses to teach his students and he really cares about each student. Definitely a class I recommend and have truly enjoyed taking this past semester.

This online class with Prof. Wilkinson is amazing. It is well organized, assignments well spread out, and instructions clear. The feedback was detailed and encouraging. I looked forward to each assignment because the format was easy to follow. I felt my speech skills improved greatly over the semester. Prof. was approachable and quick to reply.

This class improved my public speaking skills a lot more than I anticipated! I also felt like the class had a great atmosphere and I also grew closer to my classmates. Prof. Wilkinson is very organized and it's crystal clear what's expected. He treats his students like adults and sincerely cares about them. I would recommend this class to anyone.

Prof Wilkinson is such a great guy! He really cares about his students and cares about making you a better public speaker. The grade seems to be less important to him than actually seeing his students progress. He also has super good tips, and some really awesome and inspirational stories. He's inspiring & the skills go beyond what's learned in high school or church. I really enjoyed the way the class was set up. There are seven speeches that you give throughout the semester. None are over five minutes, though, so don't freak out. You will write around four papers. He gives you every opportunity to succeed, tons of extra credit. He is kind and facilitates great discussions.

I took public speaking just for fun, and it was a great class. Definitely gives you the chance to get out of your comfort zone by giving several speeches in front of the class. I probably averaged around a 90 on my speeches, but he gives lots of opportunity for extra credit so it was easy to make up.

Professor Wilkinson is one of my favorite professors at BYU! He is so caring about his students and wants every one of them to pass! There are no tests in this class, but you do have to give 8 speeches and write a papers. If you put in the work, you are going to get a good grade! Take from him!!! I learned some lifelong skills and had fun doing it!

My schedule as an engineering student didn't give me much wiggle room, but I was still able to learn a lot and be capable of an A because of all the extra credit opportunities. So if you're busy, don't worry, you can still probably make this class work. Dr. Wilkinson was truly inspiring. I grew so much for a relatively small time investment.

I loved him! He taught everything with clarity and demonstrated the concepts very well. He does lecture for a loooong time but it's only once a week when I took it so it was good. Super amicable guy and very easy to get along with. Lots of opportunities for extra credit too.

I took this class online which was interesting seeing how it is a public speaking class. If you feel awkward filming yourself or having others film your speeches than a traditional class would be better. Professor Wilkinson is very understand and helpful. Grades pretty tough but very straight forward and helpful!

I loved Brother Wilkinson. He was by far one of my favorite teachers. He truly wants success for all of his students. He gives his personal number out for us to use whenever we need help with a speech. He always answers too. He is a little tough with the rubric, so make sure you follow everything on the grading sheet, and you will be fine.

He teaches a very straightforward class. I think most everyone is guaranteed to improve their Public Speaking ability, even if that just means greater comfort speaking in front of groups. Start working on speeches well ahead of time.

This class helped my public speaking ability so much! I loved this class it was very lecture heavy and you had to write a speech every day but it was still very helpful and effective. I would definitely take this class again.

I am not a fan of public speaking AT ALL, but he made this class great. I am way more comfortable with speaking b/c of his feedback! I absolutely loved this class. Not hard at all. You'll give a speech about every other week, and Professor Wilkinson makes sure you feel prepared for them. Don't skip class though because you will get behind/miss things. Professor Wilkinson cares about his students and works hard to help them feel confident and empowered. Loved this class.

Professor Wilkinson made Public Speaking way better than it sounds. If you have a fear of speaking in front of people, I would take this class. I took this class for an easy credit class. This class is a lot of fun. Even people who hate public speaking loved this class. You learn a lot about how to properly give a speech and it's good to apply in any aspect of your life. He is super responsive and gives great feedback but he will hardly give an 100% to anyone on anything. It's a fun class!

Professor Wilkinson was an awesome professor! I'm glad I got him as a professor. As I went through the semester I was able to learn things about public speaking that I did not know before and this was due to the several speeches that we were required to do. There is a lot of repetition in this class but repetition helps you understand better.

Ron's online class was a tad bit confusing at times, but there wasn't a whole lot of assignments so any confusion was manageable. He's kind with grading, and I didn't feel stressed by the class. I still feel like I learned and grew in public speaking, despite the online setting, which is an impressive feat!

Professor Wilkinson is a very kind man who makes time for his students. He knows his stuff and is a great teacher. I took his class online and the format was so-so. He was in a difficult spot due to COVID-19 and had to throw together the class and so the organization suffered. His grading criteria was unclear to me but still not hard to get an A.

He is such a good professor. He really goes out of his way to help you and makes the course fun and interesting. I took it online during coronavirus but it was still very effective and useful. Your speeches are 70% of your grade which is great. No tests and the quizzes are open book. Reading and lectures are light. Solid class and solid teacher!

There wasnt a book to buy, but he posted readings for each lesson. Some lessons had more than one reading, and each reading had a quiz. The quizzes are open note. He responds quickly to emails and is just a great man.

Professor Wilkinson is super nice and this class was great. Short open book quizzes, no tests, so you're pretty much graded for your speeches alone! Luckily he grades based on your improvement and stuff, so it's not too hard. I highly recommend taking this class!

Even though the class was online during COVID, I still felt that I improved over the term with each speech video recording. The teacher provides good feedback and grades strictly to the rubric, so make sure that speeches adhere to each category of the rubric. Class structure was straightforward, and it was fun providing feedback to classmates.

What a great experience for such a tough class. Public Speaking is hard enough so take it from a great professor who won't let you slack, but actually makes the experience fun. He is engaging, always ready to answer questions and help his students succeed. Highly recommended!

If you strictly follow the rubrics for each speech, you will do well. I took the class in summer term, and it consisted of 1 speech/week, 1-2 reading quizzes/week (open note), and 10 peer reviews/week. The peer reviews were time consuming and honestly it was pretty annoying to have to do 10 each week! Other than that, great teacher and class!

I took this class so I could improve in public speaking and I definitely feel like I improved in that! Dr. Wilkinson gives detailed and quality feedback on your speeches and is accessible to talk to. Grading is very difficult and he is nitpicky about it- no one gets 100% on speeches and the cutoff for an A is a 94%- making it feel stressful.

The lecture videos for this class were great, but taking it online did make it very difficult to fully understand the assignments and execute them properly.

I loved Dr. Wilkinson's class! He does a great job of teaching you about the material but also about developing your own passion for public speaking. He grades fairly and gives you very useful feedback. Even though it was all online you could tell from his recorded lectures that he is a very fun teacher! He also cares a lot for his students.

I had a hard time adjusting to the online platform we used but Professor Wilkinson was so so patient with me as I was trying to work through it. He answered all of my email and allowed me to make up work that I missed because I didn't know how. Not saying he will do that for everyone, but he is just so caring about our well being and success.

This was a great class especially online! You have a speech due almost each week with a specific topic. Sometimes there's quizzes but no tests. I felt like the professor graded randomly at times. Some weeks it felt like he just copied and pasted the same advice. I also didn't quite know why I got points docked. I would take it again!

Ron Wilkinson is an amazing professor. Whenever I turned in a speech, he would provide around a paragraph of commentary that was incredibly helpful. Professor Wilkinson was very involved in his teaching despite this being a strictly online course without lectures. He was also very understanding and helpful when I missed an assignment and he communicated with me personally and gave points where possible. Would recommend him!

The class is a completely online class on Canvas. There is a reading, quiz (open notes), an assigned speech for each subject, and then a peer review. Was a little difficult to figure out at first just because the submission dates were all different. In the end, it was super easy. (Although, I already was a very confident public speaker)

I was not a good public speaker and this class was still pretty easy overall. As long as you follow the rubric and do what it says you will get good grades on your speeches. We don't have any tests just speeches and some readings followed with quizzes but they are easy. Overall an easy class would take again from this professor.

This was a great online class! The lectures were simple and informational, and because it was online I could breeze through them. The grading was fair and the speeches weren't too bad. I do feel like I gained some life-long skills about public speaking and I've even incorporated them into job interviews.

One of my favorite classes I have taken because professor Wilkinson is so good! I learned so much about public speaking because he is a sincere and quality teacher. This was an online class but I did not feel disconnected with him or the rest of the class. The course was easy to follow. He is also very easy to work with and very understanding!

This class requires work, but it is only like 6 speeches throughout the whole semester so it isn't too bad. He grades pretty strictly but as long as you practice a couple times before you record yourself you should get an A. His lessons are also pretty easy to follow along and his instructions are very clear, for an online class. Its a good choice!

All in All it was a good class that didn't add a ton of stress to the semester. The professor is a really tough grader, I don't think anyone got 100% on any speech all semester but no one got a really bad score either. Sometimes the grading criteria/what was expected wasn't really clear. But it was a good class that wasn't too much work.

Only 6 speeches throughout the semester. Creating the speeches was not difficult. The most time consuming and frustrating thing for me was doing 10 peer reviews for every speech. The professor, though, took time to give feedback on all speeches. The professor was always very willing to take calls and work with student's needs.

Great class! There are a total of 6 speeches. There were also readings that are all online and there was a open note quiz on the material every lesson. The lessons were very helpful when writing speeches so make sure to read them! And there wasn't much contact between other students and the teacher besides peer reviews of each others speeches.

Taking public speaking online was more difficult than I imagined with Professor Wilkinson. He is a surprisingly tough grader, but gives you very good feedback on your speeches. His class is not hard, you just have the speeches that are the majority of your grade, and then easy open note quizzes. If you take this class, be ready for peer reviewing.

Took this completely online due to the pandemic. Professor Wilkinson did a fantastic job of making a virtual class still feel "public." No tests. Speeches due roughly once per week with intermittent supporting quizzes. Honestly super easy. Taught me a lot of skills I will use for any future public speaking.

This professor made expectations for the class very clear and provided a good system for us to receive feedback on our speaking skills and to make adjustments to improve our speaking skills. You can tell that he's passionate about the subject and that he cares about your success. The class was pretty light work-wise and there were no tests.

Professor Wilkinson is a very fair teacher. There will be some reading but nothing that can't be done in one or two sittings if split up. There are papers to do for peer reviews and those take a while to do because you have to be thorough. The professor gives good and constructive feedback as well. I recommend him and would take his class again.

Class was online - mainly one reading/quiz per week, with a big speech presentation recording needing to be uploaded by the student every week or two. Wasn't hard, but you did need to put effort into the speech recordings in order to do well in the class. Did not take up a lot of time, great general education course.

Professor Wilkinson is a great professor. His expectations are clear and he gives good feedback. The class has a weekly reading and open book quiz and a weekly (sometimes biweekly) speech. Overall, it stretched my abilities and got me out of my comfort zone, but didn't overwhelm me.

I can honestly say that I learned as much in his class as I did in any other class. Take this course if you want to improve your public speaking skills while getting out of your comfort zone.

He is super nice and gives a lot of good feedback. Make sure you follow ALL the directions and read the rubric super closely because he gives very clear grading criteria. Make sure that you put in the work and read through all the lessons and everything (I took STDEV 150 online) and you'll do good on the quizzes and speeches.

He is very clear on what is required and when. For speeches, he gives quality feedback on what can be improved on while also informing about the strengths of the speech. Not a very difficult class, just make sure to go through the lessons and not put speeches off to the last minute.

This class is just speeches which is not too hard at all. Make sure you do your speeches on time and dont wait until the last minute! professor Wilksinson is really great and i feel like he genuinely cares about his students. Prof. Wilkinson is a great teacher and tells you everything you need to know about public speaking. The class actually taught me a lot. The only thing is that he's a tough grader so try your hardest.

This is a great class where you are able to learn so much about public speaking that really transfers over into everyday life. The speeches are graded a little harshly in my opinion but they have lots of other random easy assignments to keep your grade up. This is an awesome class. I truly learned so much.

I would highly suggest taking this class online. You have a speech due every week and the speeches gradually get harder every week. The teacher provides good feedback on what you need to fix in your speeches. There are quizzes due for every unit but they are open note/open book. Easy class if you put in the work on your speeches.

He's so caring. He makes it very clear that if we ever need a pep talk to message him. You can choose the topics you talk about and he doesn't judge the topic- only your speaking abilities. I very much enjoyed this class and would recommend it to anyone through him!

The professor is super helpful with extra explanation. The lessons are a mix of reading and watching videos. The material is clear and teaches well for being online.

One of my favorite classes at BYU! Professor Wilkinson is amazing and so caring. He gave me positive and constructive feedback for each speech I turned in and truly helped me become better. I've never felt so cared for by a professor. This is a pretty easy class too (I took it my last semester with a baby) with reasonable homework. I loved it!

I really like Professor Wilkinson. Although this class was online for me, he had helpful videos and the course was very clear. There is about one speech a week (two or three for bigger ones) which was very doable. I never felt stressed and enjoyed it. He could be a little unclear on what he was looking for speeches, but his feedback was helpful.

He is a great professor who is good to work with. If you send him and email he will respond quickly and will work with you. The grading can be tough but you always know what you need to do.

Dr. Wilkinson provided some good feedback for our online speeches, and I feel like the online format provided a higher quality of public speaking experience than I had expected. I would still take the online version if I had to retake.

Speeches do almost every week except for the last three of the semester. Feedback assignment feels like busy work.

I enjoyed this class and it wasn't too too hard but sometimes the speeches felt overwhelming ha! The class is very very doable but the professor is a pretty hard grader for it being a introduction to public speaking.

This class is amazing, it is an easy A and professor Wilkinson is extremely helpful, and will accommodate your needs to the fullest. Although I wish the topics for speeches were more controversial to make it fun, it was an overall fun and informative class.

Professor Wilkinson was great. There is a bit of work, but nothing excessive. Do your assignments on time and you will be golden!

I took the online course and I loved it. There are no exams for the class, just a series of recorded speeches you do throughout the course. If you read through all the materials and requirements for each speech you will do well, and Professor Wilkinson gives great/personalized feedback to help you improve on the next speech.

This professor is great and is willing to accommodate your specific needs. He grades things very fast and gives great feedback. He also answers emails in a fast and timely manner.

I really enjoyed Professor Wilkinson's online version of STDEV150. It is clear that he knows the material and gives good feedback. That being said, rubrics were very loose and his grading was very subjective. The course content was not too heavy-- some online readings and several speeches. Overall, enjoyed Prof W and the course!

You get out what you put into STDEV 150. This was a great professor to take it from, he gave good feedback and everything was laid out very clearly.

The class was easy in the sense that there was usually only 1 big assignment every week and a half. If you read the lessons closely, he throws in opportunities for extra credit. Although, he seemed to be a bit of a harsh grader. The class highs for speeches were always A-. He seemed stingy about giving out A's.

Professor Wilkinson is awesome. He's really good at public speaking and the course is structured pretty well. I think if I would've put more effort in I could've gotten an A. Basically you just give a different kind of speech every week or 2 and you have to dress up for it and rate other students speeches. There are also open note quizzes.

Effort is everything, Professor Wilkinson will give you the feedback you need to be successful. The key is to do your best and to apply the feedback to your presentations. Don't get lazy and do your best and you will learn new skills and be successful.

Taking this class online was a great opportunity. His instruction was always easy to watch and listen to because he has mastered public speaking and presentation. I'd suggest that listening to his lectures are probably the easiest part of the class.

The reading material is laser focused on the information that is needed and quizzes are completely based on what is read. Reading materials are not too much, but they are sufficient to help students understand concepts and perform well in the class. The teacher himself explains things clearly, and he is very accessible to students for questions.

This class wasn't too bad, but by no means was an "easy A". You record 6-7 speeches throughout the semester and he grade them pretty rigorously. You need to prepare for each one carefully because he will dock you for small things. You give peer reviews and he grades your reviews based on content so take your time and do those right.

Overall, the class isn't too hard, but it does take time. You have to prepare a speech pretty often. Professor Wilkinson is very kind and quick to give you feedback or answer emails. Course online was very well organized, and I felt like I learned a lot about public speaking. I will say that I felt his grading was sometimes a little harsh as well as little justification for what I was marked off for.

This class is hard! It's not the easy throwaway class I thought it was when I signed up for it. If you want to build the confidence to really excel at speaking, Public Speaking from Ron Wilkinson is the class to take. Dr. Wilkinson does a great job giving you feedback and encouraging you to work harder.

Professor Wilkson is great and ready to accommodate! He is super helpful with his critiques. It is a lot of course work in a short amount of time for summer term so beware of that. Overall good experience.

Professor Wilkinson is great. If you take the online version, there is a lesson or 2 with quizzes and then the speech. Plenty of time is given to complete these assignments. Professor Wilkinson is pretty good at responding to concerns. Guidelines for speeches are given and should be followed because points can be taken off. Feedback is given back.

I don't have much to say other than he is a really good teacher who is understanding with missing work and provides feedback on all of the assignments I turned in.

He was very good at getting his point across. He also was very good with giving extensions when I was having health problems.

He was great at teaching public speaking! You will improve your skills by taking this class. He is a tough grader, but gives you amazing and personalized feedback on how to improve. If you do your best you will do well in this class. All quizzes are open note, and public speaking online still requires an audience of at least one person.

Professor Wilkinson was great! The online course is manageable, there was little homework and we gave fewer speeches than I expected (I think five total for the online class?). Use the pointers in the lessons and you will do great on your speeches! Evaluate yourselves and others thoroughly on assignments and he will often give some extra credit.

I took the online version of this class, which definitely made giving a speech very different when it was just a recording. That being said, I learned a lot about public speaking and skills that have improved how I both deliver a speech and prepare/create one. I took this class online and wasn't sure what to expect because it is a public speaking class. I ended up really enjoying it and felt like the course was well organized with clear expecations for assignments. Preparing and giving speeches was challenging and often a little intimidating and stressful but I learned a lot!

Professor Wilkinson is a great professor and I was able to learn a lot from his class. He grades extremely hard though. I loved this course! Honestly, I took it for the credits, but also because I wanted to better my ability to speak in public. I thought Wilkinson was great at giving feedback and was a fair grader. Dr. Wilkinson is awesome. I took online public speaking with him in the summer of 2023 & it was great. The class itself was definitely a bit more work than you might expect but by no means difficult or hard to manage. He definitely wants you to take the course seriously, as he will grade specific to the rubric, but its not too bad. 10/10 recommend.

Super straightforward requirements and deadlines. No busy work. I went into this class thinking it would be a joke cause how could you possibly improve your public speaking in an online class? But I actually did learn quite a bit. It's a more speech writing focused rather than getting comfortable in front of a crowd, but still useful & pretty easy

At first I was confused on how effective this class would be since it is fully online, however professor Wilkinson is extremely clear and you can tell puts a lot of effort into his modules. He records videos of himself explaining content, includes readings and includes additional videos, yet does not make it overwhelming. 10/10

The class was easy to follow and I gained some good skills from it. Because it was online, it was nice to have the option to work ahead. He is a bit on the tougher side for grading considering it's a 100-level class, but it's not hard to get a minimum of a B on each assignment as long as you prepared for it. Not too many assignments either.

This professor is always willing to help you whenever you need it! The information was all very clear and the work was simple to complete. I took public speaking and I learned such an amazing life skill and it allowed me to stretch myself and get outside my comfort zone. Highly recommend!

I took public speaking online from him and I loved it. It was challenging and I learned a lot. Every week we wrote and practiced our speech then videoed it to submit it. The readings were interesting and fun and I learned a lot.

This class was great! I took it online which was awesome! It wasn't too hard and totally suggest taking this class, especially if you are nervous about the idea of public speaking. I was able to learn so much and still feel like I improved as a speaker. There aren't tests, just speeches and some quizzes. Overall, I would recommend this class!

Some of his instructions on speeches are a little unclear but if you email him any questions either him or the TA's will respond very quickly.

This was a great online class. I was scared of public speaking so I took it online. I still feel like a learned a lot and improved my skills in speaking. One speech every two weeks. Watch the lectures and understand the material so you can apply it to your speech. No final exam just show up to a speech showcase. Great class.

This professor is great. His lectures are informative and also represent how you should be doing it. He is a slightly hard grader, but not crazy or anything. I would definitely take a class from him again.

This is a public speaking class so getting graded was hard. You have 10 peer reviews for every speech you do which felt like a lot.

He does a lot of explaining which makes things very clear. If you ever have questions or concerns, he responds within 24 hours every time and will work with you to the best of his abiltiy.

This is an online course that fits my schedule so well! I won't say the assignments are easy because they are definitely time-consuming (recording myself doing the speech and also practicing saying them), but they are achievable and simple. I am very happy with this class.

I would HIGHLY recommend this course if you are hoping to improve your public speaking/communication skills.

I took this online course ONLY because it was a prerequisite for the course I wanted to get into, but it was a lot of work. What I learned was good and useful, and I did my best, but I felt like he docked me points on sections because he didn't like to give full points. That's just how it felt because he didn't give a reason for the missing credit.

In the case that you are taking the online class, make sure you have enough time to upload your speeches onine. It takes on average about 15-20 minutes. As long as you don't procrastinate or turn in late work this class is an easy A. I had a crazy busy summer and didn't really prioritize the class as much as I should have and I still pulled an A-.

Professor Wilkinson is AWESOME! He very much cares about the needs of his students and is good with making sure his students are heard. Late work is generally not allowed, but I had to ask two times for some extensions because of personal circumstances and he was very lenient and kind about it. His feedback is specific and helpful. For a public speaking class done online, this class was well put together. Each unit was nicely laid out, made sense, and very achievable. Ron Wilkinson gave very good feedback and made sure each lecture contained all the necessary info to complete each unit on your own.

Professor Wilkinson was a good professor. We had a speech and peer reviews due every week with the occasional quiz or other assignment. The hardest part was getting everything in the speeches that he wanted. He is a tough grader so you have to be careful and look at the assignment instructions carefully and the rubric very carefully.

I took this class online. Get ready for speeches nearly every other week. If you read the criteria and put the effort in, they are fairly easy but I put emphasis on putting effort in. You need to read the sections to add those topics to your speech. Overall pretty easy A if your willing to work. It taught me a lot and I recommend it anyone.

i thought this class was done very well. it was more difficult to build that in person connection because it was an online course but nevertheless ron gave great feedback on my speeches and made me feel like i knew him! would take again!

This class was great! There was not too much to do and it felt perfectly paced. He did well of always reminding us what was coming up and gave feedback to help on upcoming assignments. As long as you follow the rubrics and turn in assignments on time, this class is super easy to follow along with and is not stressful or overbearing.

I was spectacle of this class but Professor Wilkinson is so helpful and gives you very good feedback. I liked how interactive the class was and how we got feedback from our peers. A couple of the assignments had confusing wording of what was required of you so make sure to read carefully and hit all of the requirements.

It was nice to be able to engage with my peers and get personal feedback from the professor. It was pretty hard for me to get a good grade, he is a tough grader and took a lot of work to get a B. It was also pretty repetitive to peer review 10 people when 4 or 5 would've had the same effect.

I honestly thought it was impressive that the Professor Wilkinson took the time to actually care about the speeches we submitted. I got real feedback and felt like he actually wanted me to do good. Grades a little harsh but he is very caring as well. Also, don't miss the showcase because that might chop your grade... solid online class tbh.
