Prof. Clare is easy. Don't get to his class late when you have an exam, he will not allow you to take the exam. Study for his exams and ask good questions in class. Study and read the online notes and you will be fine. He is not bad. Take him.

I totally agree with the comment below, and he also would add you some extra points when you asked good questions. The only bad thing is that he sometimes arrived very very late (30 MINUTES!!!). But overall, he is nice.

There are many ways to get points in his class, like in class writing, take home writing, and extra points for buying the book! If you show you try hard, u will earn the most of the points and get the easy A.

Pretty cool professor, decent lectures, and a fair grader. He tends to talk kind of fast, and the material is not that easy, but as long as you take notes you'll be good to go. Plus, he gives out lots of extra credit to boost up your grade, tests are multiple choice, and once you reach 100 points in the class you are exempt from taking the final, which is a good deal... However, if you happen to go on a business club paintball trip try not to shoot him in the head, he's not really fond of that. Overall, if you cooperate it's impossible not to get an A, so I highly recommend him.

Do go to his office and ask for help you need to, or just kiss-up to him. Study the notes. Pretend you are already a lawyer and give a lot of reason to support your statement. He's extremely funny. He's super smart, sometimes makes you wonder if he really passed the bar exam. Easy class but he can't be very tough and mean.

I took his business law class in spring 2007.His lecture was very fun! He gives some quiz and in class writing which is not so easy but he is a very considerable and nice prof.I also recomend him to student who have language problem (^-^)**

Tons of extra credit. Great explanations and real world examples of business law. Speaks a bit fast at times but will repeat it if you ask him to. A bit arrogant but very cool. Don't fall for his intimidation tactics, he's just doing it in fun and games. No excuse for anyone not to get an A!

If you want to learn anything about business take this guy. I took him in the summer 2009 and I will admit I actually learned a lot from this professor. I highly reccommend taking him. He also teaches b-law but not on the weekends so i didnt take him. I got an A+ in his class. If you want to learn anything take his class! and you better show up

He gives plenty of extra credit to the point where you really only need to average a 60 to get an A. It is possible to get an A without taking the Final. It may help to read the textbook once before or after class. He makes jokes during excess time.

Professor Clare was a really fun professor, Class time was never long or mind numbing. He always threw in funny life stories usually related to the lessons. All of the lessons were very clear and I never bought the textbook and I got a B+ but I took well-written notes in class. Overall, I'd really recommended his class.

Coolest Professor at BMCC! Business Law was fun the way Prof. Clare taught it. Don't get me wrong there was a lot of work, but I learned a lot. He always took time after class to work with students. He made Business Law interesting and fun even though he gives a lot of homework. He gave like 1000 practice questions for the final and took 100 of them for the exam. Harsh but helpful. If you want to learn and not be bored take him. One thing though he want everyone to go to Law School.

Professor Ronald Clare's lecture is clear and interesting, which makes me hard to fall asleep and inspires me to follow the lecture. Class attendance matters, and do not try to skip class. There are five quizzes, one mid-term exam and one final exam, and online homework.

Professor Clare is an awesome teacher. His lectures are clear and he makes them more understandable by comparing them to events in his life. His tests are difficult but he seems to be an easy grader. If you don't show up, you don't pass! He also gives out easy extra credit points if you feel you're not doing as well as you could!

I've taken some of the highest available courses at Bronx Sciences and spent time with a few fantastic professors at SUNY Geneseo but he is hands down my favorite. The best thing I can say about him is we had class on a Friday and the class was sometimes the highlight of my day. One of a kind.

He is incredibly sarcastic and funny, spends a lot of time expressing his views and ideas, Which for the most part is very insightful. If you are extremely sensitive and cannot take a joke, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. His exams are extremely complicated, but if you plan to become a lawyer or own a business, this class would suit you.

Advice for new students: study from McGraw Hill Connect practice section on Classes (Business Law) location. Do your homework, print professor's notes and add onto this notes while he gives lecture. His lectures are great and essential, also he tells interesting stories. He cares about his students. I enjoyed and had fun in his class.

Professor Clarke initially comes off as very intimidating but he is very fair and cares about your progress. Make sure you are on top of your readings because he may give a surprise pop quiz. Overall, his class is very interesting and he gives alot of real world examples to his lectures.

As someone already stated, professor Clare comes off a bit intimidating at first, but he really cares about the students and makes the class fun. Makes the material easy to understand by giving real world examples. Knows his stuff. Tends to yell out important concepts, which might catch you off guard. Otherwise one of the best professors at BMCC.

He is a king, caring professor. He comes of as tough. He really cares about his students. He does usually arrive late, but nobody is perfect! He likes to shout, but that is probably since he was in the army for 20 years. I would recommend him since he gives it to you straight and he is very funny. Make sure you participate in the discussion.

My fav professor at bmcc

Professor Clare is absolutely phenomenal. His PowerPoint's are easy but take notes, and so are on test. Make friends quickly because part of the midterm is writing a contract (it's BUSINESS LAW)! He helps you understand the work because he explains the law while giving you everyday scenarios. I'm taking business law as a minor because of him!

Prof. Clare was great about explaining difficult concepts in a way most people could understand. I can say without a doubt that this teacher is one of the best I have ever had throughout my entire educational career. He genuinely cares about his students

One of the best professors you will find at BMCC. His lectures are hilarious. He makes the material very relatable and you will definitely learn if you pay attention. (If he says something more than once make sure to write it down!)

I had this professor at 4pm and i never once fell asleep but i had a class previous to his that i just couldnt help but sleep. Hes funny I like that he shares relatable things to help us understand the concepts and material a little more. His class is really not difficult as long as you listen and do the homework it shouldn't be a proble.

This course is hard but if your english is good and know a lot about America you will enjoy the class. Professor Clare knows a lot about business law. You will learn a lot from him. And he gives many examples to help us understand.

He is easy to take the class as long as you do all your assignments but the only problem is is he gives out a lot of homework and quizzes almost weekly but the assignments are easy but the only problem with this professor is communication to get feedback or recommendation overall he's pretty decent

Love Professor Clare! There are a lot of assignments and tests. Every week at that. I do feel though that if I had practiced a bit more, I would have received a better grade. Textbook is mandatory and you have to read... it is a must. He doesn't really respond to emails but he is a super chill professor.

Great professor. He makes the class easy. He is very helpful and works with students who need help during the semester. The book is mandatory, and make sure you do the weekly assignments. If you are struggling during the semester, talk to him early and ask for advice. I would take him again. He is one of the best professor at BMCC.

Prof. Ronald Clare was one of the best I had in BMCC. His class was super entertaining and fun because he keeps cracking jokes. He gives great examples to help you understand better. Make sure you do all of his assignments then you will get an easy A.

I loved taking this course and learned a lot. Professor Clare has some pretty wild lectures and keeps it interesting. The only downside is that you need to stay on top of the due dates as the syllabus and actual due dates can differ slightly. Overall just a great course and responsive Professor.

Professor Clare is by far one of the best professors I have had to date. He is extremely knowledgeable and organized. I advise following his assignment breakdown because it is a road map to success in the class. I give him a 10/10.
