Great teacher. Goes through chapter and lets the class know what the test will focus on. Has several real life stories from his days as a teacher/principal.Take him if given the change.

Mr.Dore is really helpful if u need anything. He does use the book and he is strict about class attendance ..he tells you what will be on test and gives a study guide..all his test are senerio based and some definitions..he is a great teacher...he tells many stories ..the class is pretty boaring all u do is highlight what will be on test...

Really nice guy. He should be a professor or a higher up in the department, he wants to see you do well. His test are kind of difficult, but you have a study guide. A lot of extra points. I highly recommend taking him.

Take Him if you can! One of the best teachers I've had! Gives opportunity for bonus points and on large tests grades on a curve! However, is tests are multiple choice and the possible answers are close to one another so you need to know the material to make a decent grade. He's nice but the idea is for you to learn what he teaches.

Mr.Dore is awesome. Take him. Genuinely cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. Tells you exactly what will be on the tests, gives a lot of grades, gives bonus point opportunities, and grades tests on a curve. Textbook is mandatory, but he teaches the info very well. If you fail his class, then college isn't for you.

My favorite professor so far at UL. He cares about his students and loves to teach. He has so many great stories and I don't mind when he goes on a tangent, ever. Grades are fairly easy as long as you do what is asked. Studyguides for every test with exactly what you need to know, but it still benefits to go to class and listen to his lectures.

AMAZING. after taking Roslin Growe's EDFL 106 and failing because of HER discrepancy with my online passport experiences,Mr. Dore not only showed me how to fix them but TAUGHT me information rather than just rambling on about nothing.

Mr. Dore is a great teacher. His class is very entertaining with lots of funny stories and still covers the learning material. You will learn a lot in this class. He explains how to use passport very well. His test are very easy as long as you study from his study guides. He gets to know all of his students.

Mr dore was by far my best teacher I have taken at ULL, his lessons were knowledgeable, his past experiences helped us understand our future experiences, he was extremely helpful and insightful, respected the students, was a always available to us , I would recommend Mr dore for any class he teaches , he has my upmost respect and I thank him

If you are in education I STRONGLY advise taking this professor for EDFL 106. He is the epitome of a leader and absolutely exceptional in his profession. Mr. Dore' was in the public school system for 38 yrs and has so much experience and wisdom to share. He has a very extensive knowledge on education and has literally seen every aspect of it.

Absolutely my favorite teacher. Wasn't a class that we didn't have a one on one conversation. Extremely nice and loves to teach. Makes me look forward to teaching more and more everyday class. Not another teacher like him.

Dr. Dore is the professor that goes above and beyond what is asked of him, which I believe to be a good thing when trying to teach and inspire a new generation of teachers. I left his class inspired, and I discovered the kind of teacher it is I wish to be. He is always available to help and sends weekly emails so you never fall behind in the class.

If you ask me he's an awesome professor, you just have to do your work and participate a little or you will be called on, complete group work assignments and study, very little reading because he discusses most of it. There are 5 Exams (including final), 2 Papers, 2 group presentations. Get the book, He highlights everything for the test in book.

I was extremely lazy and barely ever did any homework my first semester of college and I passed this class with a C doing the absolute bare minimum. Going to class is a must!!!! Attendance grade goes down a lot even from one missed class. Tests were kinda hard but as long as you participate and do the homework and field experiences you'll pass

Mr. Dore' made bland subjects more interesting by encouraging comments ad group discussion. I really enjoyed the class, and he enjoyed that I participated. All learning is done through the textbook, so the information is very straightforward.

Mr. Dore truly cares about the success of his students. He is very detailed when explaining assignments and gives great feedback on those assignments if finished before the due date. He doesn't just lecture out of a book either, he shares stories from past experiences that make the class much more interesting. Tests are easy. Gives study guides.

He spends a great deal of time talking about the aspects and work that a teacher will tend to in the education profession. That being said, he is highly intelligible and provides extensive feedback to his students. His class is demanding, and there is an expectation that is achievable for those who put in the effort. I recommend Mr. Dore to anyone.

He is a good teacher but also likes to play Devil advocate when a group is giving a presentation with is fine because not all students in a classroom will agree with a lesson once we become educators. He also cares about participation and will deduct points for missing too many classes.

Ronald Dore is absolutely one of the best professors on campus. He has many years of experience in education, with stories to back it up. If you ask him about anything he will give you an answer and tell you why. If you take his class expect him to use his years of experience to motivate you to doing quality work, he wont let you slack off.

He is a great teacher that did a lot for me which showed me that he wanted me to succeed. He really likes it when you participate in class. The class itself is not too difficult, just time consuming. The main components of the class was 10 observation hours, input observations in Via, teaching philosophy paper, and 2 group presentations.

Mr. Dore teaches lessons in a way that covers all information and forcusses on the specific information for assessments. He started class with some random stories and chainmail things like what my grandma gets lol. 10 observation hours, a paper, 2 group presentations, and 4 exams took up a lot of time outside of class. But if you do the work you should be fine.

Mr. Dore is such an amazing professor. His class was my escape from the heavy workload of other classes. Attendance is necessary. You are only allowed two absences. Study guide questions are in the exact same order on the test. Be very familiar with the study guide and you will pass the test

He is a great professor! Loves to get off track and tell stories, but there interesting! You can tell that he really cares, just have to show that you are trying. I absolutely LOVED Mr. Dore'! He was very helpful to a first time freshman. He has plenty of experience and knows what he is doing. My favorite part of the class was his storytelling! The field experiences were one of my favorite as well. He gives study guides exactly like the test but still study, because he will word the test tricky.

Love him this semester; he cares for his students cuz he is passionate about what he teaches; has sense of humor; if you go to class, participate, listen to his lecture you will do fine. I was minutes away from changing my major from education and he was the reason why I stayed in the college of education. Highly recommend him! Hes easily accessible outside of class.

He is one of the most caring teachers Ive ever had he will go out of his way to ensure every student has what they need to be successful in the college of education However his tests can be a little tricky by his wording so be aware of that when you are studying does give a study guide thats in the order of test

Mr. Dore was such a great teacher! He gave personal stories in class that related to what we were going over that really made you remember the information! There are a few group presentations, but if you're going to be a teacher, you need to get used to that anyway. You're missing out if you don't take him for EDFL 106!

He grades kind of hard and his assignments take a lot of effort and work, but he is a former principal so he has high expectations for his students and wants us to succeed as prospective teachers. When I had him, he only gave us one test and the rest were power points and presentations. Hes not always clear with his instructions for assignments but dont be scared to ask him to clarify. He tends to go off on tangents and stories during class but they are usually entertaining. Overall, highly recommend taking his class.

He will give a study guide with ideas & page numbers through the chapter. Go find each idea and write down everything about the idea. Put the time in.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Mr. Dore!!!! Sweetest guy you will ever meet. Knows when it's time to get things done, but also knows how to make class fun with his humor. There is a bit of work, but most of it he has to give. The only extra things are one presentation with a partner and quizzes that are super duper easy! Def recommend

I just adore Mr. Dore! He is the sweetest person ever and ensures that you do your task on time. Attendance is mandatory, 3 points off every UNEXCUSED absence. We had all 2 presentations in class. Mr. Dore is a phenomenal teacher. He is retiring this semester, so you won't find him anymore, but if he ever comes back, take his class! No complaints. Sometimes, he can be a difficult grader. As long as you do everything to a "T", you'll be good. 1 paper each week to prepare for the big final paper, so lots of research and writing. Super kind.
