Professor Dorn is the best professor I've had for an online class. There are no deadlines throughout the class so it's easy to get behind but as long as you submit all the required labs, assignments, quizzes, you will get a good grade. Professor Dorn really cares about you succeeding. I met with him twice to help me better understand the course.

Professor Dorn was an engaging lecturer and a great teacher. I still remember most of the concepts I learned in his class, which is more than I can say for many of my other classes. You won't regret taking this class--its interesting and easy to get a good grade if you do the work. It will change the way you look at a landscape.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Often times you get professors that care more about their title then teaching, luckily Professor Dorn is not one of those. He really cares for you to learn the material. The biggest thing for me was he realizes people have other classes and work, so he is considerate of this, which is huge in my book.

I'm a Junior but a new student to Geography and I absolutely loved this class. Lectures were SUPER interesting. All our readings were available to us online. Quizzes were easy if you watched the lectures. He walks you through the first lab. Drops lowest grades. AWESOME class. Anyone who says otherwise has yet to take an actual difficult class.

Took this class online over the summer and I actually really loved it! Professor Dorn is extremely passionate about what he teaches and cares about each and every student. He sets you up to not only pass the class, but with an A. I 100% recommend taking this class over the summer. There is a lot of work, but it's not hard, just time consuming!

The class is composed of 10 quizzes and 1 project. No specific due dates on either of these, all due once the class ends. The quiz answers are found in the lecture videos given. This is worth 80 percent of your grade. The project is 20 percent and he gives you a template that you can just fill out. Very fun and easy I learned a lot.

Dorn is very passionate about the subject and hopes to share his passion with his students. As such, he is very accessible and willing to help with anything needed. For the class, you watch a lecture and take a quiz on it. The lectures are very interesting and the quiz is easy. It does require some work, but it's not too strenuous

I took his online session A. Super easy A. I finished the class in about 4 weeks at my own pace. He loves questions so don't be afraid to reach out! He wants you to be passionate about the class, which is good since the topics can get boring.

Great Professor/Class. He really cares about your interest, understanding, and overall success in his class. Very involved and made sure to make his presence known and keep students updated. Class was a breeze, it is at your own pace but he helps to keep you engaged.

Professor Dorn is great! I took the class online Session A, and all the course material is open from the start allowing students to work ahead and finish early. His grading rubric is very clear and it is almost impossible to not get an A+! As long as you put in the work you will recieve a good grade. He cares about his students, & a very nice guy!

Great interesting class. Ron really is passionate about geography. 35 lectures usually ranging 10-40 m long. One small quiz per lecture, 4-5 Q. Lab practicals are short and easy, but can be time consuming. This class is an easy A if you just watch the lectures and try a little. Lots of extra credit opportunities. No set due dates. 100% worth it.

Great course! He clearly identifies in the syllabus what is required. The class is actually pretty fun.

PUP200 fulfilled my G and HU credit and was an extremely easy course. There were no deadlines (except for finishing everything before the end of the semester) and TONS of extra credit. Even if you do bad on the tests there's no reason to get anything below an A+. I highly recommend this course as it was easy, informative, and fun!

This class is so easy!!!!! Dorn made this class possible to finish the material on your own time and because of how easy it was to understand the content, I was able to finish the course in 2 weeks. Whole class is built on you answering enough questions in quizzes to earn an A+ (160 pts). 3 sections, min 35 pts each to pass. No reason not to pass.

Class is built entirely on you getting enough points to get an A+. All lecture material are on videos and you get points by answering quizzes and getting points through lab practicals. Easy A is achievable if you put in the effort. Can be time consuming to get everything done. Highly reccomended for people that need an easy science gen. ed. class.

Professor Dorn is very passionate about Geography which shows how much he cares about his students understanding the concepts of this class. There are 34 quizzes which you can get done at a reasonable rate along with lab practicals. Only need 40 points for an A for the labs but theres 60+ points for extra credit. Recommend taking this class online.

Professor Dorn is one of the most passionate teachers I have ever had. He cares deeply about the material, but does not force his students to share the same degree of participation. Earning an A+ is incredibly easy, as long as you're willing to put in the effort to earn all the points.

The class is setup to be very interesting and getting an A+ is easily attainable if you put in the work. He really knows this subject well. I highly recommend this course if you need a science credit.

you can finish this class in a week--solid week-- but I don't recommend it. Would have found the course quite fun if I had done the quizzes and labs weekly, but even so did enjoy learning the course while cramming. The syllabus is great and incredibly helpful. Prof wants you to pass and also immerse yourself into his course, and it shows.

What a fun class. You get to watch movies and take tests about 'em. Tests are open-note. Each test has readings, lecture, and the movie. There's optional tests and scavenger hunts if you want to boost your grade. You can tell he really cares about this class. He appreciates feedback and he's very responsive.

I highly recommend this class to anyone that needs an HU, H, or G general studies requirement. This was a great class. You can work at your own pace; I finished the class in three weeks. Class is A LOT of work but easy to obtain an A if you put in the effort. Because of Prof Dorn's passion for geology, I felt like some of the info was a bit over my head! Process is a bit confusing at first but makes sense as you go along. Liked options to switch topics, no EXAMS andI didn't do any essays!! DID NOT enjoy using Google Earth!

Do yourself a favor and take this class. You get to watch great movies, do things at your own pace, and have an awesome professor that cares not only about the material but about you. You earn the grade you want as its based on points rather than a percentage. There is literally no reason not to pass this class and learn cool things along the way!

I can't say enough about Professor Dorn! He is so clearly passionate about the subjects he teaches! The class can be hard to navigate at first, and there are a lot of parts to it, but once you get the hang of it, it's great! No due dates! He even answered my email at 8pm on a Saturday. I'll take any class he teaches! No reason to not get an A+!

Dorn is so knowledgeable and passionate that he makes this class fun. His lectures are full of great info as well as a lot of personality. I've never taken an online class that felt more like a classroom than this. His grading scale is wonky, but it's structured in a way where you choose which work you complete to get the grade you want. He cares!

It will seem confusing at first and looks like it is a lot of work but I honestly completed the class in 16 total hours. Have multiple windows open and use google alot and you will be fine.

This class was probably the easiest class I have ever taken and will ever take. I finished in a week. The quizzes are open book/lecture/google and the lab practicals can be difficult but there are like 80 possible points and you need 40, which means he will let you earn up to 20 points extra credit. I got well over a 100 with almost no effort.

seems like ALOT of work at first, but The quizzes are very easy(they all come straight from his lectures, plus google) the lab practicals are a little harder but nothing major SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT. all you need is 40 points for the lab praticals, and he gives you the chance to earn 20 extra points. its hard not to get an A+

Has more units/assignments than he grades so you get to pick and choose what topics interest you. Once you hit a certain amount of points, you get the A+. If you don't get an A+, you have done something very wrong.

I needed a physical science class and I lucked out and found this one. Class is broken up into 50% of your grade is quizzes and 50% is lab practicals. Quizzes are pretty easy but lab practicals require putting some work in. The professor is extremely passionate which makes the course more enjoyable. You don't have to buy a textbook which is a bonus

Dr. Dorn was the best online professor I have had at ASU. He was so incredibly kind to me when I expressed how much I struggled in his class. He WANTS STUDENTS TO SUCCEED no questions asked and he made that evident. Even though science is my worst fear, I would have no problem taking another science class as long as he was the professor.

Honestly I can't understand how this class is worth 3 credits. IT IS SO EASY. Mr. Dorn did an incredible work with this class. There is no final, only quizzes over the movies and readings (that you don't really need to read for the quizzes). Also there are really fun and easy extra credit. Do them all!

If you need a course that counts for HU, H, & G this is definitely the class you should take. There are NO DEADLINES for this course... I'll repeat it so those in the back can hear me THERE ARE NO DEADLINES except to finish all of the assignments by end of semester and I easily took this Session B. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities too!

Only took a 1 credit course from him and recognized the organization and proficiency of how he teaches, would definitely take him again in a regular course. He should teach instructors how to teach online courses!

I took this class to fill in an extra credit to be full time and I'm so glad I did! It was very informative and enjoyable. 10 lectures and accompanying quizzes and a project to do but no defined due dates so I was able to work around a more demanding class. Dorn is passionate about the geography in Arizona and it shows. You wont be disappointed!

Take this class. Not only did I learn a ton, Professor Dorn makes learning about geomorphology fun! You can tell Professor Dorn is really passionate about what he teaches, and wants to share with his students. There are many opportunities to earn extra credit. Not only is this class an easy A, it is an easy A+. My final score was well over 100%.

I took this class for my gen ed because my friend said it was an easy A. Not sure how I got an A+ because it SUCKED. I took a session B so we had 8 weeks to do all the work and honestly it was a LOT of work. Easy, but a LOT. My biggest piece of advice is not to procrastinate and follow his schedule because you will become overwhelmed SO fast.

This class was boring and so much work but literally SO EASY. Its really nice because it gives credit for both global awareness and historical humanities credit so its a really good class to take. You have to watch movies and lectures and read a lot of articles so its a lot of boring work but it's very easy. Point based system was really beneficial

Great professor, and class is interesting and straightforward. The lectures have 1 to 2 easy 5 question quizzes and a google earth lab for each. Longer labs have a lot of reading and can be confusing, but there are short videos to guide you. Understand the syllabus and schedule, and the class is a breeze.

Dorn is a sweet guy. Took him online, most lectures weren't him but he always checked in with students and was helpful and nice. This class has zero deadlines which was amazing. Quizzes are based on readings, lectures, and film. Print out articles for reference during quizzes because you can't switch browsers. Fun class, some work but learned a lot

Professor Dorn is amazing! I took his GPH111 class online and it was the easiest A I've gotten while being at ASU. Even though it's an online class he is available for office hours and is very caring and wants you to pass. It's quite some work with the interactive presentations and quizzes on top of that but I did it all in one night. Easy class

Great professor who has a passion for the topic he is teaching. There is a lot of work to be done in the course, but the only deadline is the end of the class. Everything is open from the beginning. I paired this class with my capstone class and powered through it in the first couple of weeks, allowing me to focus on my capstone class.

So I still haven't finished his class, I am writing this halfway through the course. So far the course has been very interesting and I have learned a lot. The professor sounds like the Bob Ross of Geology and I love. At first I thought I wasn't gonna go along the lectures but his lectures are just like a Bob Ross episode!

Professor Dorn is the most passionate professor I've had at ASU. The set up of the course was extremely helpful as well; as an online Sessions A, everything was due at the end of the course and you could choose what assignments you wanted to do, you can essentially choose your grade by how much work you put into the course.

The class can seem like a lot, but it's fairly easy. I don't *recommend* procrastinating and finishing the course in a week ... But you can. And still get an A+.

GPH 112 as well. Yes, the class is an easy A if you put the work in. The onus is on you to complete it. That being said, Professor Dorn is easily the most passionate instructor I've had. I changed majors from IT to GIS. I questioned my decision initially, but if everyone in the geography program is this passionate I know I made the right choice.

I took Professor Dorn's GPH111 class this semester, and I really loved it! His lectures present the topics in interesting ways, and the lab practicals are usually pretty fun. He also does his grading based on a point system, rather than percentage. As long as you get a certain number of points by the end of the class, you can get an A!

This class is based on watching movies. The quizzes were truly informative and not just based on what happened in the movie, but rather incorporated the connection between the historical and global connection to the movies based on the movie, lecture and readings. Dorn is a truly caring professor who offers intriguing lectures. Would take him again

You watch a decent amount of movies! Sounds like fun but some of them are foreign or boring. Don't take notes on the movies! You'll be writing everything down and wasting your time. Still watch the movies, READ the readings, and do the extra credit movies. Easy class, open course!

I read reviews before taking this class about how easy it was, but I never expected to finish the entire 3 unit course in 3 hours on the week it is due. I put it off until last minute and it took no effort. All quizzes are online (course hero) pay for a month subscription and you pay for your A+ grade. Easy class high recommend if you need it.

100% take this class. There is no final, and the points you get are based on watching movies and doing quizzes on them. Just manage your time with the movies and you'll be fine. Easy first semester freshman class.

This class is a breeze. It is VERY time consuming, however, it's not that difficult. If you wanted to, you could finish the class in a single day. Really don't HAVE to watch all of the movies if you know how to use Google. I didn't watch a single one and got and A+. The extra credit is worth doing too. I don't understand how you couldn't get an A+ in this class honestly. He grades on a points scale rather than a percentage scale, so even if you kinda mess up a test it doesn't really matter too much. Watch the lecture videos, skim through the readings, and watch the movies and you'll easily get an A. I didn't even watch all the movies...

Professor Dorn is the easiest professor Ive ever taken, and PUP200 is probably a big reason why. PUP200 is a class in which you watch like 13 movies and take quizzes on them. Its all at your own pace, and theres extra credit available so watching some movies and watching some lecture videos will likely get you an easy A+.

PUP 200 has to be one of the easiest and most interest course I've taken. I had the online course, there are 13 movies and a quiz for each, and a lot of extra credit opportunities. The course is graded by points and professor Ronald dorn makes the class enjoyable.

I took this class to get a historical component for my major out of the way. Easiest class ever, and super fun too! Based on points, and there is extra credit with nearly everything you do. Super cool class, but you do have to buy the movies. Definitely recommend!!!!!

The easiest class you will ever take. you watch 13-14 movies, take a quiz on them, and then cruise through the course. I myself procrastinated and honestly finished the course the second to last week of school (I don't recommend cramming it in like this). But I learned a lot, had fun, and above all else passed on the word about this gem of a class.

Easy class, but to some extent you need to watch the movies and ctrl f through the documents, the quizzes are not that easy to google. Insane EC it'd be really hard not to get an A. Movie choice is alright as well. Don't try cramming this class in the last week it's probably 8-12 hours of work. You're choice how to do it but yeah it's a free A.

Very easy lab. You'd don't have to complete all the modules, as long as you get 62 points you get an A+. Dorn isn't the most organized but his personally shows through his class. Completed my 62 points in an hour.

Easy class. Just watched 10 movies and got an A+. You are graded off of points not percentage so you can get an 80% on each quiz but if you do all of them you will still get an A+. Also offers extra credit in case you need it.

He is THE BEST!!!! Many lectures, but all interesting and sometimes humorous. I was not expecting to be so interested in this class, but his enthusiasm inspired me to learn. The assignments are pretty simple, too. If I wasn't already so far in my major, I probably would have switched to geography just because of this class!

You only have to reach the points to pass the class so if you get the max points and have a 80% you still get a 100%.

What an AMAZING professor! You can really tell that Professor Dorn is truly passionate about his students and courses. By far one of the best classes I have taken at ASU. He really makes the grading criteria clear, using a points accumulation system, which is awesome! I really loved having Professor Dorn this semester! Take this professor for sure!

I would say that Dorn is the best professor for this subject. He shows that he cares about his students and enjoy the subject with emails about current events, which were nice reads. Even better, you get to work up to the grade you want which makes grading criteria technically up to you making it really clear.

This class is many mini quizzes that are based off the lecture. If you pull up the outline you can take the quiz side by side. He's a funny teacher. Can finish the class in a few weeks if you just get it done. Does a point system so as soon as you reach desired points you're done almost 30 extra points available so if you don't do great you can fix

Answer questions based on movies. Very easy questions. Why not get an A to just watch movies. Taken multiple classes with Dorn highly recommend. Finished the class within 4 weeks and can open the test and leave and come back. Great teacher. Highly recommend any of his classes.

I've taken two classes now from Professor Dorn. I love how he has them designed where the last day of class is the only real due date. Beware, that means you have to be 100% responsible for your own pace of doing the coursework. That being said, the design of it works great for me! The material is really interesting, bonus. He is a really knowledgeable professor, and his classes tend to be easy As. I love that the deadline for all the assignments are at the end of the semester, and its a point based system. Took me 3 days to finish one class, which was nice.

Alright so there are a ton of modules worth very little points. Yes, they are time consuming. Just recognize you will have to put in some time, but really the class could be finished in less than three weeks. An easy A+!

Amazing Lecturer. Got an A+ on both classes. GCU was incredibly easy to work on (took me 3 days) by just reading through (or remembering high school gov class) and taking easy quizzes, meanwhile PUP could be finished in a week or less. Prof. is extremely enthusiastic and really care for his class AND students. I absolutely recommend both. GPA BOOST

Professor Dorn is an amazing professor who cares a lot about the success of his students. GPH 111 is not necessarily difficult in terms of the material, but it is definitely time consuming. Professor Dorn understands this and allows students to work at their own pace, with all assignments due at the end of the semester. Highly recommend!

Professor Dorn is awesome! His online GPH 111/112 course is interesting and an Easy A. The class is based on points accumulation and you are not penalized for points missed. It does require some effort, but it's not difficult. Highly recommend!

The class is self-paced which is really nice however the Geovisulaizations are terrible. If I didn't have a touchscreen laptop I'm not sure how I would have been able to complete them. Dorn is kind and funny, but this lab is extremly difficult.

Such a great class! Professor Dorn only gives one deadline so you get to make your own schedule and watch all the movies/read material on your own time. He is really funny and encouraging, and takes his own personal approach to teaching. This class was super fun, it's hard to believe I just earned 3 credits--I'd take it for fun!

THE EASIEST CLASS AT ASU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All you do is watch movies, take quizes, and do scavenger hunts on google maps. If you really don't want to do any work, all answers are on course hero if you have a subscription. I personally did not use course hero because it was so easy and fun to watch the movies. I even did the extra credit movies

you watch movies and take quizzes on them. video lectures that he posts on Canvas help if you watch them before the movies. answers are online if you end up struggling on a few questions. there are bonus movies you can complete if you want EC. it's a pretty good class to take with friends especially since it's online and flexible with your schedule

This is the easiest class. You watch around 12 movies, you can read and watch some faculty lectures, and it's not that bad. The movies are somewhat outdated and you do have to rent them, but it's worth it. The quizzes are around 14 points, and if you watched and paid attention, you'd pass. It's a point-based class, he's a cool dude overall.

I took professor Dorn's Cities in Cinema class session b. It is a point-based class and you need to obtain 175 points out of something like 215 points available for an A+. It is very easy to do. Just watch the movie, watch faculty prez (double speed), "command f" required readings and you'll get 100% on each module. Self-paced class EASY A+!!!!

I took professor Dorn's US and AZ Social Studies class session A. It is a self-paced class that I started and finished the class in ONE DAY. The class is graded by point accumulation. Need 160 out of 270 available for A+. Quizzes range from 4-10 questions that are common sense or easily found on google. Easiest A+ of my life. TAKE IT!!!!!!

Dude, this class is an H and G and HU requirement filler, it took me literally six hours to finish the course. TAKE IT YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Fantastic grading policy. The course is completely self paced & once you meet your desired point total, youve earned your grade. Completely stress free & allows you to actually enjoy the content while learning it.

PUP 200 is the 3rd course I have taken with Prof. Dorn because he is amazing!! His grading scale is points accumulation and there is PLENTY of point opportunities for you to get an A. You watch a movie (most are very great), complete short readings, a lecture, and take a quiz. This class is totally worth it, I wish all my profs were like Dorn!!

SUCH A COOL CLASS! I would recommend anyone to take this! So fun. I am a huge procrastinator and did a lot of last minute work but finished the class with an A+ The material was so cool to learn & I loved seeing familiar (+new) movies in the context of urban planning. Made me interested in the subject as a minor! Dorn is great. Make the most of it.

Easiest class I have ever taken! Professor Dorn is amazing. This class is solely graded on watching a couple movies, lectures for each movie, reading a few sources, and taking quizzes for each movie. The best part is the scavenger hunts. There are google earth locations you virtually visit for locations in the movies. Got a 100%. Take this course!

THE SWEETEST PROF EVER!!! He is extremely knowledgable and passionate. His lectures are super funny and informative. I wish all professors were like him. The only downside (for me) was that he allows you to go at your own pace so I needed to be super disciplined to stay on track. Take this class! You won't regret it.

Professor Dorn truly cares for the well being and success of his students. He makes every effort to help his students. This is the definition of an easy A, although, not particularly exciting material.

Dorn seems like a nice human, really passionate and knowledgeable about geomorphology. I liked the grade accumulation strategy. I will say though, you will have to work for it. 1 lab with 6 questions can take an hour or more just to earn 1 point. Class is self-paced, but set aside A LOT of time to complete. The games in GPH 112 were pretty cool.

GPH 111 and GPH 112 are usually taken together, very quiz heavy since it's online but honestly a really easy class. Coming from someone that waited until the last 2 weeks to do every assignment, it's stressful but I still got an A in both classes. (don't recommend it) Grades are based on the points system so after you're at an A, you're done.

I cant recommend Dorn enough. He has the whole class available from the start of the semester so the pace is all yours. Do the readings, watch the lectures and you'll be fine. You have plenty of chances to bring your grade up. He grades w a pt system where every pt gets added to a total but what you miss doesn't count against your grade.

Dorn is AMAZING. The whole class is available from the start so you can work as fast as you want. The labs use video games to simulate being outside, so be prepared for that. Be willing to work and try and you should be fine. The class uses a pt system so what you earn goes towards a total while what you miss doesnt detract from the total. Worth It

Very simple and a straightforward class. His quizzes are open note and very simple to complete. It is a fun class to take if you're looking for something fun.

I took 5 classes with Dorn. I would highly recommend GCU/PUP however, I would say only take the GPH classes IF YOU HAVE TIME and LIKE THE CONCEPTS. There's SO MANY assignments worth so little points. You have to put time on this class which is graded on cumulative points. I got an A on GPH111/112/211. but it did take a while. Be consistent.

What a great prof. with a great course, that is designed for you. I recommend having it with him.

PUP200 was a very fun class. Dorn offers extra credit that was super interesting. He was quirky and I would recommend this easy A if you are looking for a fun interactive course. I learned so much more than anticipated about cities and geography.

Highly recommend this class for a science credit. Take the course A for this class, and you can get it done in 3-4 weeks. Dorn is quick to respond to emails if you are ever confused on something. Class is somewhat interesting but he makes it more intriguing.

The class itself isn't really "easy" (especially GPH112) but the grading system takes a lot of the pressure off and puts you in control of the grade you want to receive. Extremely interesting and easy to understand. Dorn is an amazing instructor who clearly cares about his students and is passionate about his class. SO happy I paired this with Eng101 (a ridiculously work heavy course). This also counted for multiple general education requirements so bonus! This classes exceeded my expectations tenfold.

10/10 Prof Dorn is the most amazing professor I've ever taken in my life. There are no due dates. At the beginning of the semester he clearly tells you how many points you'll need for what letter grade and just lets you go at it. No mandatory textbook, he provides everything you need. He also sends out geography current events occasionally.

I loved Dorn's style of grading. It allowed me to work on it in my own time (I work two jobs so I have very little free time) and actually be able to retain the things I was being taught without having to rush through the material.

This is a fun and interesting class, also a super easy A if youre looking for one. Dorn is upfront from the start about the utilization of the modules and quizzes. He mentions the importance of tracking your grade to understand just how much work to be done and comes right out to mention that if youre happy with your grade, no need to continue!

Great class! Tests are based on each movie, its lecture, and reading. The scavenger hunts are super easy and actually pretty cool. Your grade depends on how many points you get (ex. 148-159 is an A, 160+ is an A+) making it very manageable to get a good grade in the class. Definitely a GPA booster.

Professor Dorn was by far my favorite professor at ASU. I took as many of his classes as I could. His methods for teaching and grading actually make sense and I retained more knowledge from his classes than most other. Amazing Professor!

I wish I had taken this class in person, as all of Ronald's announcements made it clear that he really cares about this class & is a great guy. His way of grading makes it so that you can easily work to get the grade you want- there were over 200 points worth of assignments available & you could do whichever you wanted to accumulate points; 160+A+

This is kind of a choose-your-own-adventure of a class. All of the assignments are available at the start and its up to you to get them finished by the last day. You will have to acquire the films discussed in the lectures, but aside from that, this is a pretty easygoing class. The movie quizzes are pretty easy if you study the lectures.

Professor Dorn was a great teacher, he outlined everything you needed to do for the course. My only complaint would be that there are no specific due dates, which means that you needed to pace the course materials out yourself, which I often struggle with. I would suggest to make up due dates on your own and follow them. Great class!!

Professor Dorn gives you everything you need on the first day of class for the semester. He explains what is expected to pass the class in the syllabus. His class is on a point system so you are responsible for the grade you receive. The more points you get the higher your grade will be. Amazing professor!

No due dates, all assignments are available at start of class. There are 90 small quizzes and assignments, you need about 70-80 for an A+ or you can do less work if you are happy with a lower grade. No complex math. Professor is enthusiastic about the topic. I recommend watching the close-captioned videos at 2x speed.

This 1 credit class has a lot of work. There are 4 modules, each costs $15 for the software. You need 2 modules for a C, 3 modules for an A. There are no due dates or time restrictions, but each module will take 3-5 hours . If you still don't have an A after 3 modules or you want to learn more, there's lots of points after the 4th module also.

This class was perfect! Basically, you work at your own pace to reach a score of 160, which thanks to the internet I was able to reach in 3 days. He has a certain amount of required quizzes as well as extra credit quizzes, and the course work is both easy and interesting. Im in my senior year and term, and this class saved me! Take this class!!!

Professor Dorn is so nice and helpful. I took GPH 111 and 112. The work is very hard. He has an amazing point system that will allow you to get an A+ if you work for it. Wrong answers don't count against you, the ones correct add to your grade. Very time consuming and stressful but no final or projects. Only multiple choice questions.

Professor Dorn is likely one of the nicest professors I've ever met. He's also not the type to force beliefs onto students but wants them to think for themselves. He gives good feedback and is always ready to help. Very kind. Note, the class is work, it isn't something you're just going get an easy A on. You have to work for it but he's great

No deadlines means I was able to finish the class in 9 days. The professor is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about geology, responsive to messages/questions and tries really hard to make the lessons fun. There's sections on super heroes and comics and movies. Class is interesting and if you do the work, an easy A.

Ronald Dorn has been one of the best professors Ive been able to interact with at ASU. His lectures are informative, and he likes to add bits of humor in them, along with topics hes passionate about. He provided many ways to help students with constraints such as time, and has a unique grading system that does not penalize wrong answers.

Fun, easygoing class to take if you need one more elective credit. HIs purpose is to inspire you to explore more of the outdoors in Arizona or elsewhere. The 16 lectures are digestible and easy to understand. One easy quiz per lecture. If you have questions about the material, please reach out to him. He has so much passion for this subject.

Prof. Dorn was the best professor I've had at ASU. His quizzes for this class (Topic: Arizona Landscapes) were all based on questions in the lectures. Watch and note the answers in the lectures, and you should pass. Additionally, everything is due on the last day, so you can work at your own pace! Very passionate and knows what he's talking about!

Professor Dorn is my favorite professor I have ever taken! This class is designed to accommodate the lives of busy students. He values earning points and does not penalize for missed answers. He makes it so easy to get an A, and you can tell just how much he loves geography. 10/10 would recommend! I'll be taking two more of his courses next semest.

Ron is such a great professor! Class is based on a points system (160 and up is an A+) and assignments are due at the end of the quarter and assignments can be done in a day or so. Enjoyed the movies as well. Plan on taking him again for GPH111. Such a lovely and caring man and cared for students with the Delta wave of the pandemic!

Only take this class if you have time and are good with video games. This class was stressful for no good reason. Long and hard assignments for only a few points. The good thing is that you earn as many points as you want until you are at the grade you want. The only easy quizzes were the first ones in the units, the rest felt impossible

The class is graded on an accrual system meaning you are only graded on correct answers. There are many opportunities to accumulate the points but you have to try a bit esp on the labs since they do make a big portion of grades. Dr. Dorn is extremely passionate abt what he teaches and adds some humor to his lectures! Highly recommend for a lab SCI!

Undoubtedly the easiest class I have ever taken. Very verrrrry minimal effort will easily get you an A+. You can do the class at your own pace, so it's possible to finish it in under a week. Highly recommend if you're looking for an A+ or an easy HU, H, and G elective.

I thought the quizzes for this class would be on quizlet, but all of the them have different questions. If you skim the articles/lecture video then you can get some of the answers, but a lot of it for me was just guessing (the class is all quizzes). I still got an A and would recommend this course, just don't do it all last minute.

Dr Dorn's GPH 111 course took a good effort, but is worth it, because you are graded on a point accumulation scale. The more quizzes and lab practicals you do, the more points you earn, and the higher grade you receive. Its a highly manageable A+, but as I said, it takes quite the effort, especially if you pair it up with GPH 112.

GPH 111 was an absolute delight because of Professor Dorn. He's passionate about his work and his excitement carries through into the lectures. The grading system is amazing and I wish more professors worked this way. Assignments can be done at your own pace and are all fun and interesting. I loved the way he used pop culture in lessons!

I think Professor Dorn is a good professor who really cares about the subject he's teaching and genuinely wants you to enjoy the class and learning. However, some of the effort levels needed just don't add up. Had a quiz worth 1.7 points that relies on a 60 minute lecture. I like the way he grades based on point accumulation.

Arizona Landscapes is a really laid back and fun 1-credit class. Uses the same point accumulation system as his other classes, so if you do the work, you can get an A+. I can't wait to visit Arizona and see some of the things I learned about first hand! Really interesting and fun class - lectures, readings and quizzes, no book.

This class is definitely a must-take if you are in need of an easy elective, GPA booster, or hu, h, or g credit. The class is incredibly easy and he offers 50 points extra credit. You can finish the course in a matter of days if you sit down and do each of the "quizzes". Easiest ASU class possible.

This is my second time taking one of Dorn's classes and the dude just blows me away. He's so funny and clearly cares deeply about both the material he's teaching and the students he's teaching it to. I went into this class knowing little about geology and I didn't care about the material in the slightest, but he made it fun to learn about.

Professor Dorn has been my favorite professor thus far at ASU. He has always been very understanding of his students, and sets them up for success. His grading scale is something that all instructors should implement as it rewards students on participation rather than getting answers right or wrong. Professor Dorn made learning the material fun!

The class is an easy A+. You can complete the course in a couple of days if you have a senior with all the homework questions. Most of the questions are the same from the last semester.

I wouldn't say this class is difficult, but you definitely have to have self-discipline. All of the assignments are due at the end of the term, and there are a LOT! But, they're fairly easy when you look at the lecture slides pdf. And, if you pace yourself well then you can end up with a great GPA booster.

Ronald Dorn is a very caring professor who wants you to pass his class. You must watch semi-long, recorded lectures that help you answer the questions on canvas. A few questions can be confusing, but all the other ones are super easy. Any questions you get wrong from the set of questions will not harm your grade. He only grades on correct answers.

Each assignment is worth points and a certain number of points gets you an A. There are A LOT of assignments but I waited until the last two weeks to start and still got an A. Overwhelming at first, and is easily forgotten because none of the work is due until the very last day. Good class to cover a general science credit but I didn't learn much.

I took the session A class and I was already done with the class by September because I just set aside a few weeks to do the quizzes to accumulate enough points to get an A+. I only read the transcripts of the lecture videos to do the quizzes. It definitely is an easy A class to help boost your GPA because he is really clear about grading.

Literally took me 1 hour of work to get an A+, and I just needed a 1 credit course to complete my credit minimum. Professor Dorn is great and grades his class like no other class I have taken. You start with zero points and just earn your way up to the grade you want. This class, and professor, were amazing. The movie portion is just to set the scene for teh deeper portions. Only a couple questions out of 14 pertain to the movies. You get out what you put into it, anyone can skate through, but why enjoy the journey? Easy A, compared to STEM classes.

Dr. Dorn has put together a remarkable course. You decide your grade. A+ very doable. I enjoyed all the movies selected for the course. My recommendation is not to procrastinate. You can get ahead very easy in this class. Stay ahead of the game, so you can focus on any other courses you're taking especially harder ones. You get out what you put in.

Grading is based on how much you get right overall and wrong answers won't count against you. There's quizzes you could get around 180 points and you need 160 to get an A+ so once you get to 160 points overall (regardless of how many you missed) you're done. Rarely actually talked to the professor though and never any of the other students

For this class, you watch movies then take quizzes on the movies. Amazing grading system, once you have enough points to get your desired grade, you can just ignore the rest of the assignments and be done. Great class and really caring teacher.

This is the easiest class you will ever take. This whole class can be completed in 2-3 hours or even shorter if you really sit down and do it. Professor Dorn is an incredibly caring man. His (online) class is autonomous and runs on his own points-based grading system, based on the premise that he wants his students to come into a love of science rather than worry about grades. The class is so easy it almost feels like cheating, but I'm not complaining. Best way to knock out an SQ req.

All you do is watch movies and skim through some readings and then take quizzes on them. Grading system is a point accumulation system where you just do enough assignments to get the grade you want. I finished the class in not even 2 weeks. There are more assignments available than points needed for an A+ so you can pick which movies you like best!

Totally take this class! I'm a science major so do this class for an automatic A+. If you don't get an A+, I don't think you should be in school because it's that easy lol. I did the whole class in less than a week because they're just short quizzes. You don't need to watch the ppt lectures just look for the answers using the table of contents.

This class was fantastic. There are no due dates. As long as you have everything turned in by the last day of class, you get credit. Tests are open notes. I was looking for other classes Dorn teaches because it is a great professor. His knowledge shows that he loves what he is teaching. Take his class if you can.

Phenomal teacher! Best teacher I had at ASU this semester. I learned so much, and the assignments were easy. We went deep into topics without it becoming convoluted, and Ron provides you with every opportunity to earn an A+. Just be sure you understand how the grading works and put in effort. If you are to take one GPH class, it's with Ron!

Absolutely wonderful teacher and equally wonderful person! He makes the class fun and easy, but you still learn so much and come out of the class with a whole new understanding of the world you live in. Professor Dorn is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about geography, and he instills that same fascination within his students. The class is based on accrual grading, where one accumulates points, and there are more than enough points to get an A+ despite not doing all of the assigned work. This class was (in my opinion) a blow off class. I took this paired with a Stats class and basically did this on the weekends when I didn't have much else to do. There are no due dates, and as long as you do a majority of the work, you can easily pass the class.

The format consists of doing some readings, watching a 15-30 min lecture, watching a movie, and taking a quiz on it. Highly recommend for a PUP elective.

This is the second class I've taken with Prof Dorn to fulfill my elective credits. This class is super easy like all the quiz answers are on quizlet so just google everything. There are plenty of extra credits and movies and you're literally guaranteed an A+ so get the 160 points! As a stem major, this is a major GPA booster. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The quizzes themselves are already pretty easy. However, even if you do poorly, you can still complete extra credit to make up for lost points. You don't really interact with Ronald at all since the class is so short and easy.

A+ = 160+ points. I got an A+ and it took me maybe a week and a half to finish the class. An easy A class.

If you read all his other ratings, you will see that he is an amazing professor. The course was very easy and interesting. There is almost no way that you could get less than an A since he uses a point system instead. I will say that I wish this course was offered as a session c since it is a lot of work for 8 weeks.

A lot of assignment but it is 4 credits, He grades by reaching a certain amount of points not average. I got a few C's on quizes and still got a the full amount of points for quizzes. There is not due date just need to finish it by end of term. I waited until last week and still got it done with no problem.

This is class is easy and the easiest A at asu. I finished the whole class in less than a week. However there is a lack of points and ability to be flexible in the class. Around 180 points in total, which does not give you that much choice in terms of the quizzes you take. The professor is a very nice person and cares about his students :).

Like the other reviews, this is a very easy course. There are a ton of lectures and readings to go through, but Dorn/Kelman are both very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject so they are easer to watch. Ed majors need this for certification def don't wait til after graduation, it's easy enough to do with the other courses.

This course was easy thanks to Dr. Dorn's simplicity in teaching. All the quizzes are due at the end of the course session, giving you plenty of time. He focuses on helping you understand and learn geography through short video lectures he provides.

Dr. Dorn's course is well-organized. You simply watch the movies he lists and write one movie essay, which is worth as much as the movie quizzes. He gives plenty of time to complete everything, and there's extra credit for each movie. With enough points, it's easy to earn an A+.

I've had Professor Dorn for three classes now and could not rate him high enough. Professor Dorn puts a lot of passion into what he does and if you actually listen and take your time with these courses you will learn a ton about Physical Geography. Easy A+. Take one of his classes!

Such an easy class. I had to take it for my SCIT credit. You just gotta accumulate points by doing enough assignments, rather than worrying about getting good grades on every assignment.

There was a lot of course work. However, he gives you so much information that it helps you understand the material (quizzes and test) a lot better. You just have to read carefully to do well. He truly cares about fostering a learning environment. The game was super fun too.10/10

Dorn is one of the best professors at ASU, and he legitimately cares about whether or not you learn over following strict guidelines. This is reflected in the grading system of many of his classes, including GPH 111 and 112, which use the point-accrual system. Highly recommend

Prof Dorn's classes are really chill and are a super easy and fun way to learn about the course. All his classes are stress-free and getting an A+ is not a problem at all. Definitely take his classes if you need a GPA boost!

Professor was very chill. No penalty for getting questions wrong on an assignment. You only earn points which means you can stop turning in assignments once you reach desired grade. Assignments include watching movies and answering questions based on the movie. "Scavenger hunt" assignments that are optional but fun. One final paper required to pass

Professor Dorn is so compassionate and you can tell he loves the material AND wants you to succeed. It is a point accumulation system, so getting things wrong doesn't hurt you. Once you reach 160 points accumulated, you have an A+. I only watched maybe 6 movies out of all of them. Completed maybe 10 quizzes, wrote one mandatory movie essay. Easy!

Great Professor. Interesting and insightful class. Very thorough with his expectations of what is needed to pass his course. He has 2 essays for the semester. You only need to do one. The rest of these assignments are based on movies and accompanied lectures and readings. Highly encourage you to read all the material and study guide for the exams.

Super easy grading! No percentages, just get points. I got an A+ and could have stopped doing the work half way through since grades don't go down. Love this prof so much. Best professor ever!

Very easy class. Professor was super nice. Recommended for general requirements. There are no exams, only quizzes. A lot of reading that might take some time but other than that no pressure. The only deadline is when the class ends officially.

Take this class!!! easiest class ever I finished the whole class work in under 2 weeks, Not only is it easy the things you learn are actually really interesting! I learned a lot and finished the class with an 100% was able to get my 3 credits super fast and able to focuse more in my hard classes.

He is a great professor. His class is stress-free and he just wants you to take time to learn without having to worry about your grade. It is an easy class and I would take it over again.

I'd definitely have Professor Dorn again for any future classes. His grading system is awesome as it's not your traditional % grading scale. You get points as you watch movies and do extra credit. If you receive at least 160 points and if you attempt either the movie essay or synthesis essay you get an A+. There are tons of points available!

Prof Dorn is the best! I've never liked science, but he makes GPH super easy and stress-free. He doesn't use a typical % grading scale-- you only gain points and never lose them. There are tons of assignments, so if you put in a little effort, getting an A+ is basically guaranteed.

This was one of my favorite classes; he is very kind and will help you if you need it. There is so much extra credit that you get to basically choose your grade. He uses a new grade system where your grade can only go up, never down! He knows the topics well and makes sure no student is left behind.

He was a fun professor, he added fun bits to the quizzes, and the course was point-based so it was really easy to get full credit.

Super easy class to take, just make sure you play the interactive game at the end of the course. The game is kind of difficult to get the hang of and does cost money but just watch his videos for help.

10 days left in the Session: I thought I was going to fail because I didn't have enough points. I contacted him for withdrawal options. He told me that if I did the work, I could get an A+. This class was awesome. Seriously, if you are thinking about taking this class for your SCIT credit, DO IT. Your grade is completely based on points, and he makes it very easy to get an A+. Although it can feel like a lot of quizzes, you could finish them all in a few weeks, no stress. The video game was easy to understand and not too difficult.

Such an easy A. Not a traditional grading scale so assignments can only boost your grade, not count against it. Lots of assignments are provided (not as many as GPH 111 though) so you have many opportunities to get your grade up to where you want it. Definitely recommend taking this class.

Best science class ever it was so simple. Yes there can be a lot of quizzes, but everything was due at the end of class, so it was completely self-paced and it was great. He is a very kind professor who you can tell is very passionate about this topic and answers emails very quick. Highly recommend.
