(Main Campus) He's Okay. His class is not that hard. He does repeat himself alot. We only had a mid-term and the final. Both tests are all fill in the blank. And he does check attendance. I recommend that you know a little about the basics of filing a lawsuit before you take this class. (Oh and the book is a little expensive.)
He is the best teacher I have taken. He is easy to understand and explains the subject clearly. You do have to go to every class and take good notes. He only give a mid-term and a final, but he review before each one and tells you exactly what areas to study. If you do all that you can make and A in his class.
I have taken this professor for several classes and he is terrific. He says they are hard, but his classes are SO easy there is really no excuse to fail. Honestly I don't think he would let you fail. As long as you listen to his lectures and pay attention to reviews you will pass the tests. Also, he has a great sense of humor. BEST TEACHER EVER
Hard teacher but expect to learn a lot. Don't miss class, pay attention and you will do fine. Don't buy the textbook, he teaches out of the Family Code book. Claims he teaches at a law school level and I believe it.
This is a co-op class where you go out into the legal field and intern. HCC needs to do more work to help students set up these internships rather than giving them a phone number to call and hope for the best. An analysis of the student's abilities combined with the needs of the firm willing to take interns would be good. I had a good result though
Spring 2007. Teaches fast & furious. Family law is the bulk of his practice. You will come out of this fam law class knowing more than most practicing attorneys. I feel extremely confident that if I get a job working in family law I will know what I am doing. Since that is why I am in the paralegal program, I highly recommend Mr. Esposito. Thanks Mr. Esposito!
He is a wonderful teacher, very clear, insightful and direct. I would reccommend him anytime on any law subject.
He is a good lawyer
His class is extremely boring especially if you take it Saturday morning. His final is the same thing as his mid-term. He lets you turn in late work. Not hard but not extremely easy.
mR.Ronald is a good teacher i took his legal research n its easy. You have to come to each class because of the subject can miss an important topic. He is clear on his topic and you learn alot. Looking forward to take another class he teaching. And his midterm is his final.
Great Professor! If you go to class take notes and listen to his lectures you will pass this class!
Very helpful! Go to class take notes and listen to his lectures you will pass this class!
Attend class and listen/pay attention. Very intelligent professor. Lots of experience and success in this field.
i have taken 6 of his classes i have recieved all a's case briefs are easy, tests are easy all open book and open notes this teacher is awesome
GREAT
Very helpful Professor. Please turn in your complete paperwork on time. He will listen to you and guide you through any Co-op problems you are having.
Professor Esposito's lectures are very interesting. I learned a lot in this class. You will have to present two case briefs he will assign you to speak in front of the class for a grade. He exams are straight forward and if you study and attend all of his lectures you will pass. Thank you Professor Esposito for a wonderful Spring 2012 semester.
Professor Esposito is a wonderful Family Law Professor. The class was very insteresting. You will be assigned two cases to present a case brief in front of the class for a grade. If you attend all of his lectures and take notes you will pass the mid term and final.
I have taken Esposito before. Great guy. Gets off topic alot but over all keeps the class going.
Great teacher took him in his summer classes not a to stressful class if you pay attention and take notes you'll pass!
Great professor go to class take notes you'll pass! Love his way of teaching he gives you real life examples he also let's you know exactly what you need to know and study for his quizzes. Very helpful professor ! Looking forward to taking more of his classes!
great teacher, i took him for legal research on SAT.
This professor is AWSOMe!! Hes a good teacher and lawyer he really knows his stuff...he really cares about his students and their understandings of what he's teaching! He's a must take his classes are really interesting?
Wonderful teacher I just wish HCC had teachers like him who ACTUALLY CARE!!
Speaks fast and refuses to slow or repeat what is been said in a fast manner. Questions presented in the exam are not discussed in the class prior to the exam. Unhelpful, rude and uninterested behavior of the instructor in classroom. Unengaged and shows lack of interest in student learning. Unresponsive to student email
Awesome professor! i love his class I am currently taking two of his classes for the summer and took 2 for the spring of 2014. He explains very well, he talks a little fast but everything he talks about and taking notes are what the finals are about. I am very happy on taking classes with him. I RECOMMEND!!
Speaks fast. Questions presented in exams are not discussed in the class prior to exam. Ambiguous & confusing wording of questions presented in tests. Displays alienating biases & creates unapproachable, unhelpful atmosphere for learning. Displays uninterested behavior for learning. Provides inadequate, vague explanations & slow response to emails
He is helpful and understanding.
Rude, unapproachable, unreliable, untrustworthy. Provides inadequate, vague explanations & slow response to emails. Talks fast. Confusing wording of questions presented in tests.
I am currently taking him for 3 of my classes and everything has been the total opposite of his negative comments. He only gives quizzes and if you come to class you will make an A, one presentation that only takes 2 mins, and your final. If you come to class and actually pay attention you will get a passing grade without evening trying so hard.
Mr. Esposito is very knowledgeable in the Legal field , he is very helpful and will help students who are in need. The only thing that I didn't like about his tests was the fact that his lectures did not equate to the tests given, other than that he's really a pretty cool professor. I would definitely take him again.
One of my favorite professors so far! He made everything pretty simple. We only had 4 short quizzes, a midterm, a final, and a really REALLY short oral presentation to give in class. As long as you took a few notes in class you should get at least a B, but you can definitely get an A if you take good notes and read (neither of which I did lol)
Omits relevant facts and asks exam questions not mentioned in class lectures. Confusing wording of questions presented in tests. Rude, loud and unhelpful. Shows lack of interest in student learning or teaching. Hard to understand fast-talker, will not be able to write notes while lecturing because of the pace of professors talking.
Talks about unrelated topics to fill class time. Exam questions do not match topics covered in classes. Unorganized presentation, leaves out important facts. Unwilling in responding to student questions fully. Vague, not detailed explanation to test questions. Unhelpful, leaves student to figure out on own, confused. Uncaring about student learning
Prof. Esposito is a Ok instructor, but does not relate well with student concerns. Has a rude, condescending, mocking tone when responding to questions. Intimidating, difficult, Unhelpful. Does not adequately utilize board for lectures. Talks fast, Illegible writings on board. Provided misleading career advice. Tests do not match class lectures
Confusing, insensitive, indifferent, dismissive, sarcastic, Untrustworthy. Exhibits Uninterested demeanor in responding to student questions. Ignores and employs avoidance tactics in answering student questions fully and accurately. Provided inaccurate and misleading advice. Regrets taking the class with the instructor. Wasted time, credits, money.
Best teacher everrrr! Not sure why he has so many frowns! He does assign a very long research assignment but totally worth it. Especially if you have not been in the legal business, definitely gives an insight of what to expect to be a paralegal !
Mr. Esposito is great with working with his students', however I believe because he still practices as a lawyer he is very overwhelmed and tends to constantly forget his students' names , as far as his tests goes most of the time the material wasn't even what he lectured on above all else he is very understanding and tries to help his students.
A very fine man and Ok instructor. Crams, rushes through lectures. Hard to take notes while lecturing due to instructors fast speaking style. Does not adequately utilize boards for lecture explanations. Writings on board are not readable, refuses to repeat or slow down. Displays reluctance, acts bothersome in answering questions promptly or fully
Very good class. Outside work was manageable. Learned a lot in the class.
Very uncooperative and incoherent explanations. Had to wait a long time to receive responses about topic questions. The response received later proved to be inaccurate and misleading. Displayed alienating attitudes and unwelcoming demeanor. Talks fast intentionally to confuse the student. Regrets taking the class.
Displays reluctance in responding to student questions promptly. Unorganized topic presentation, moves from one topic to another without finishing off what was said in the beginning. Rushes through lectures. Got rude when asked for clarification. Needs to work on communication & interpersonal skills. Test questions do not match class lectures.
Unclear explanations, puts little effort into teaching. Presents material incoherently, unorganized all over place. Displays slightly patronizing, condescending, ethnocentric behavior. Makes judgments, opinions of the student based on preconceived notions about ones race. Talks fast, impatient, insensitive, unengaged, was unwilling to help.
This instructor lacks clarity in instruction. The assignment criteria requirements were confusing, vague, contradictory. Gave conflicting instructions, expectation on every assignment. Requests for clarification are met with rudeness. The lectures added little value, substance to exams. Test question wording tricky. Late, slow responses to questions
Professor had no patience, regard for student time. Not timely in providing responses for the questions. Offers very little in terms of helping student, leaves student confused. Speaking style very fast pace, difficult to understand. Got irate when asked to slow down or clarify in detail. Goes through lectures fast. Lectures not relevant to exams
Needs work in communicating topic in clear, understandable manner. Unorganized presentation, difficult to understand fast-talker. Unwilling to slow or repeat, said in fast manner. Confusing, muddled directions for assignments. Requests for explanations are dealt with unhelpful, uninterested, crude behavior. Tests do not correspond to lectures
Lectures lack relevance, clarity. Lectures useless to exams. Goes off-topic in tangents. Confusing wording test questions. Delaying avoidance techniques in answering questions. Implores to give favorable rating on class survey. Waited very long time for response to questions. Unreadable writings. Uncaring, dismissive, neglectful of student concerns
Class would've been useful if instructor was responsive, not evasive, slightly less offensive, had sense of urgency in answering questions timely. Tests riddled with grammatical errors both substantive, ambiguous wording. Delays response when asked for clarity, showed obscene gesture, acted busy. Hard to take lecture notes, fast talker. Unorganized
He is a very intelligent man but a poor teacher. Expect to read as you will likely not gain any knowledge from the lectures. Most lectures are off topic and maybe 10% of what he says will show up in this test, is actually on the test. Test wording is difficult to understand and most questions are not based on the lectures or chapters assigned
Very difficult to understand fast-talker, unorganized presentation of lectures. Unclear assignment instructions. Interested only in getting good reviews of class reviews than explain material in detail. Repetitively asked to provide favorable reviews in student survey. Lecture pointless to exams. Tests questions do not correspond to lectures, book
Doesn't explain concepts clearly, rushes material quickly. Lecture lack detail, relevance, clarity. Mumbles in heavy accent. Doesn't check if class is confused. Has a short-temper anger issues. Rude, dismissive, intimidating comport when asked questions. Assigns lot homework, tests with confusing instructions, ambiguous wording, errors.
Talks very fast - unable to take notes while lecturing, lectures not relevant to tests. Confusing assignment instructions with errors. Unwilling to explain in detail. Questions in tests do not equal to material covered in class.
Lacks trustworthiness, advice provided turned to be false, contradictory, does not always speak or act on the best interests of the student or student career. Unapproachable, unhelpful. Does not relate well, displays dismissiveness, reluctance in answering questions straightforward manner. Displayed browbeat, intimidating demeanor.
Rude, vague and evasive. Lectures scattered and tests not reflective of lectures. Talks very fast and presents material in a hurry without explaining in detail. Hand-writings on board and handouts are illegible.
this man is all over the place . hardly shows up to class. gives out assignments with out explanation. hard to get a hold of
assignments and lectures unclear, unorganized and lacks detail; confusing wording in tests; unresponsive, dismissive approach in responding to questions/concerns. displayed rude, unapproachable behavior.
Brilliant professor who goes over everything throughout the syllabus clearly and explains everything extensively. Answers all questions in and outside of class. I have two back to back Saturday classes with him and his lectures are great. I'm taking a summer class with him. Highly suggest to take him !!
Lot of errors in handouts, exams. very delayed responses to email questions. gets irate when asked questions. required lot effort, time to receive a response. had to send several emails to receive feedback. response depends on the professor's mood or student the professor prefers. found responses to be evasive, unclear. presents material fast.
Not straightforward, evasive interaction. When asked questions about course, test content; changes topic and withholds information. Exams, assignments confusing. Muddled presentation of topic. Presents material without care, talks fast. Asked several times to give good review in class survey. Unresponsive, indifferent approach to student concerns
Unclear, contradictory, scattered, does not follow syllabus. Switches topic to topic constantly in tangent. a bit condescending, rude approach when asked help. confusing tests never match lectures, book. inquired several times about national origin, religious background, displayed alienating, unwelcoming behavior. gets distracted easily. fast talker
Interesting topic but explanations not specific, does not break topic to make it understandable. Omits important topic. Tests confusing, lectures useless to tests. Frustrating if you like clear explanation guideline. Errors in handouts, exams. Does not stick to syllabus. Became slightly irate at times when asked explanation. unapproachable behavior
Hard to follow due to fast talking style. Refused to slow down. Ignores questions. Took very long to receive responses. Goes off on tangents from topic to topic gets distracted easily. rushes to end classes early. created uncomfortable environment by demeaning ethnic comments. Tests muddled not from book, lectures or from syllabus. wasted credit.
He is a very entertaining Professor, he will tell you real life stories he has experienced. You will pass this class if you come to class and take notes. He pretty much tells you what will be on the exams. There are is 2 case summary presentation, 4 exams, 1 mid-term, & 1 final. I took him on a Saturday all test were online. Get the Penal Code.
Professor Esposito will assign you places to go if you are not working for the Cooperative Education- class to earn your hours. You must keep track of your own hours and make sure you turn everything in before the end of the semester. This class is an Easy A.
Mr. Esposito is one of the best professors I ever had, very knowledgeable about the subject, great with giving you information to clarify meaning of material. Overall he is a great professor and I really enjoy his classes.
When asked questions for clarification, mumbled incoherently, provided evasive response. Ignored concerns, changed topic to avoid answering question. Discombobulated presentation topic. Took very long to receive response. Test matter does not match topic discussed in lectures or book. Regrets taking class. Wasted money, time, credit with professor.
lacks clarity. spoke fast, rushes without care for student understanding. unapproachable and intimidating. this professor is very intelligent, keen in getting good reviews in class surveys. asked multiple times to provide favorable reviews on class web surveys. when asked for clarification on subject, stared and behaved rudely. confusing tests.
I like this professor, he always provided us with the exact material that will be on the test, it is hard to write down everything but if you are a fast typer you can definitely get down all the notes in order to A's your tests and quizzes, definitely would recommend! He was great at clarifying a lot of the material!
This guy is intelligent, but cannot communicate effectively. Unavailable and acts bothersome in responding to questions. Dismissive and made look stupid than help to understand the topic. Strays from topic to topic. Test questions are very confusing and errors in the test. Talks about random topic to fill class time.
Tests tricky and confusing. Test content diverges from lecture, book. Errors in tests. Displayed antagonist and alienating demeanor. Became unresponsive, leered on several occasions. Made offensive and demeaning comments regarding ones looks, ethnic, religious background. Created uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. Not a pleasant experience
Mr. Esposito class was interesting. I have taken him for more than 2 classes and with each class I was not disappointed. He does reviews before the exams COME TO CLASS IF YOU WANT TO PASS! He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He will tell you like it is. We had 4 quizzes, 1 mid term and a final exam. Loved this criminal law class.
Talks fast, difficult to follow. When asked for explanation on test questions, became irate, used profanity. Displayed inconsistent behavior and prefers answering or helping certain students over others. Tests with errors. Took very long to receive response to emails sent and some got no response.
Prof. ESPOSITO, He makes sure you take with you what you're supposed to know from the course. Read all the chapters he goes over, he goes by the book, start preparing early for exam. It's not easy but it is law school after all. Be prepared to learn, work! Excellent lectures. Good feedback
Professor is BRILLIANT, Excellent lectures. Attend class for his take on things; his perspective is not always what you would expect. But it is a LAW CLASS, extremely helpful out of class. Yes you will be called on class, but he's not difficult on you, nor will you be reciting the entire case. Generally asks a short question and lenient on answers.
This is actually a very good Professor, R. ESPOSITO: Extremely well-organized lectures, he really excels in this class for me, you could tell how into it he was, and he definitely knows what he's talking about, He may appear of mean for some, but he is always available and helpful, He wants to help. Overall, great class and highly recommended.
Prof. R Esposito is awesome, nice, genuinely want to help the coop ed legal assistance, paralegal. Great coop opportunities. Academically this class helps you to real life events, this class is important. Just make sure you turn in your paralegal technology program finished.
Prof. Esposito, A brilliant man, He is a very interesting person. Turn in "Paralegal" Program Pckg. in the syllabus. He is right education, training, and experience to have the knowledge and expertise regarding the legal system and substantive & procedural law which qualify us to do work of a legal nature under the supervision of an attorney.
Prof. Esposito is a very intelligent person, he always tries to get to know all the students in the program and help them as much as possible in order to get a foot in the door in the paralegal field. He will let you know everything there is to know in order to be a successful paralegal.
Ronald Esposito is a great instructor. He tells what you need to know and what can be in store for you, as far as job opportunities and what takes place in each. He also delivers much of the information in an amusing way. Pay attention and take notes.
Ron is a good professor. I don't understand why his ratings are so low. He's laidback, but a caring professor. His classes are easy to understand and easy to follow along in. Also, he isn't boring and isn't looking to fail anyone. Learned a lot while getting a good grade.
Professor Esposito is predictably consistent and encourages student engagement. His ability to convey material clearly is genuine and his teaching style reflects the courses he professes due to his plethora of professional experience. I'm excited to continue and complete my course of studies with Houston Community College and Professor Esposito.
Grades with a curve
His class is basically a review of the test.
Great Class! Professor was very helpful answered all questions and so informative. Would so take the class again. Class was very fun and interesting!!
Go to class take notes and pay attention in class the professor will help you with understanding the information. Great experience already signed up for another class he teaches!!!
Mr. Esposito i straight to the point and that what I like about his class. He is very informative. Please take note and if you didn't understand something, ask him again! Our class was fun and we learned many thing from the professor and talking with other classmate
very rude person. did not respond to emails, evasive and misleading response when asked in person. alienating unapproachable demeanor and crude comments, regret taking class.
Esposito is a great teacher. He will prepare you to become a paralagal and that's what we are all there for. His lectures are very interesting and you can learn a lot from him if you just pay attention!
He was a fine teacher. The way he delivered the information made it easy for me to comprehend and retain it. He could be a little touchy if you asked him to repeat something but all in all, he's polite and easy to understand. I would take another class from him.
At HCC, it is impossible to miss this Professor because he runs the department. He talks ALOT. If you listen, you will get everything you need to pass ( including quiz reviews). Some test questions are tricky but so is the language of Law. He swears he is funny but truly outdated jokes. If you have a question. ASK! True life, on the job teaching.
As long as you show up you, you will pass. He teaches from the textbook but it's not an absolute requirement as test questions are usually verbatim about things we've discussed in class. He answers calls & text in a timely manner and is willing to work with you as well as fix any mistakes he may have made while creating the exams. &He's hilarious!
As long as you show up you, you will pass. He answers calls & text in a timely manner and is willing to work with you as well as fix any mistakes he may have made while creating the exams. He's created the Paralegal Technology program so he's the best person to ask what you need to take in order to graduate.
Great professor, he gives very detailed interesting information on the subject. He tends to speak fast during lectures, making it impossible to be able to write word for word on what he speaks. I recommend to do a voice memo recording and after go take notes on your own. That will help a lot along with the chapter readings assigned.
He is a great professor. I have taken so many of his classes. Take notes and you will pass. If you don't understand something just ask. He is very detailed, I recommend recording the class. Call him, text him. You will pass if you pay attention. He is funny and he will help you if you ask for it! I definitely recommend him!
I took his legal research class this summer and it was as expected of a summer class. We were to read the chapters assigned (if you want to be able to pass the quizzes and tests) we had 4 quizzes, a midterm, a final, and one assignment. Which was simple. Will be taking him again!
I took Professor Esposito's class online because I took another one in the fall of 2020 and it was super easy. The lecture videos he makes are not too long but they are detailed to where you know what will be on the Quizzes and the tests. He gives you basic information and teaches what is mostly important which I like.
Prof. Esposito's video lectures were confusing, disjointed, with one exception when the voice was someone else. He DIDN'T USE THE TEXT SOLD BY THE BOOKSTORE. His lectures included statements like "I am on page number # in 8th edition. You will need to find this on + or - that page.Confusing. Why not use the edition sold by the HCC bookstore?
Great professor, he is strict on due dates and won't extend them so beware! His review videos are perfect and honestly its almost all you need to pass the class. Very detailed, honest and a nice professor. I have not failed a single class of his and I have taken around 4 of his classes.
Great professor who covers topics in-depth. Recordings and chapter readings are essential. Using Unstuck study for practice questions helped me prep effectively.
