Grades you on attendence and will add to your grade at the end of the sem. if it will help you. Often confuses himself and is corrected, but very helpful on reviewing for quizzes and tests. Class is easy if you ask the questions you have.

This class is easy as long as u stay focused because u may find yourself drifting off and then your grade will drop... he drops the lowest test and quiz grade and gives u partial credit if u at least know what ur talking about!!!

Quite possibly the best Math prof I've ever had! Let me tell you, after a year out of school, I was nervous about taking up Math again, but I was able to do it without breaking a sweat with this guy. He's nice, he can admit mistakes, and very, very helpful. Take my word for it, you want this guy for your class.

He was fantastic! I have always struggled with math, and Professor Lott made it easy! He gives plenty of chances for extra credit and does his best to make sure everybody understands the material. He is great about helping you out if you need help and he's very understanding. If math isn't your strong suit, this is the professor for you!!!!!

Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. He genuinely cares about the success of his students and will go out of his way to help someone. A little boring, but it's a math class, so obviously fun won't be in the curriculum anyway.

Very good math prof. Very clear at explaining and really cared about my grade and if i was getting it. He'll stop for like this two second pauses and stare out the window its kina funny and i know thats not a reason to take the class but it always made me laugh when he did it anyway you have to take him if you are taking a math class!

Sounds kind of a like a gameshow host... REALLY WANTS TO MAKE YOU PASS, so he is very helpful. Very direct and breaks down the chapters in an easy way to understand. Not very consistent about his Quiz scheduling, so don't skip-- you might miss a TEST. He drops 1 test and 1 Quiz, so that helps if you HAVE to miss one.

Wow! Mr.Lott is a very nice guy. He goes above and beyond to make sure his students can get a good grade. There is no way anyone should fail his class. He's great!!!

He is the sweetest guy and goes out of his way! You can tell that he really enjoys his job, and he let us know the first day that (long story short) he missed interacting with students and that's why he came back. I strongly believe that teachers who teach because they care about the students and not the paycheck are the best teachers out there.

Mr. Lott makes is crystal clear that his goal for all his classes is that EVERYONE passes. He makes this goal a very easy one. What a great professor! If you have a chance take his class! His grading system is incredibly flexible! He will go over and over a subject until everyone completely understands. He's so helpful! LCC is lucky to have him!

Ron is an amazing professor. He is probably the most helpful math teacher you could possibly have. He is ALWAYS willing to help if you need it. If you do the homework, do the suggested review problems, and pay attention during the exam review sessions then you should easily 4.0 the class!

He is an amazing math instructor. I am terrible at math, but he explained everything in full detail and I was able to pass is class with an A. I would definitely enroll in a class with him if I need to take another math class.

He is an excellent teacher. He does examples in class and the questions on his exams are similar. If you study your notes you will do great in the class. I enjoyed going to his classes.

Very nice guy. He wil gladly go over any problems that you may have. Lectures can be a bit unclear at times. Make sure to check his work, as he makes a few mistakes from time to time.

Excellent! Makes himself available and makes sure that you have other resources to help you understand the material. He truly wants you to be successful. This is the kind of instructor we all need. Communication skills are beyond commendable. Math is not an easy subject so he can't be rated and easy instructor.

Lott, is a great teacher. He's helpful and friendly. He really wants to help his students. He has a great sense of humor, especially since he makes mistakes often. However, he often doesn't cover all of the problem types in class. I blame most everything on the math book. Its worse than most math books. It only has one example per type of problem.

Best teacher ever! He makes an intimidating class manageable. Explains everything clearly, no surprises on tests. I'm horrible at math and I haven't gotten anything worse than a 98% on a test so far. Takes the time to make sure you understand in a way that makes sense to you. I wish he taught more classes!!!

He is great: Goes slow so everyone can understand him, Works individually, and has a sense of humor. My favorite math instructor to date. Highly recommended.

He was very helpful and taught very well. Attending class was very important and he enforced it. Quizzes and tests were very easy and he prepared me for the final. I would DEFINITELY recommend him!

Such a helpful teacher. Explains things well and really helps students to get a good grade. I missed a couple quizzes because I was sick and he let me retake them. He drops lowest test and 2 lowest quiz scores. Great office hours. More than willing to meet with students on and off campus. Definitely one of the best teachers ever.

Great professor! I wish he went beyond 121, 122. Math classes move fast; the instructors can't do a thing about that. But this man wants you "on board." Always, always choose Ron first and fast cause his classes are always full.

Extremely great teacher, best math prof at LCC. Exams are short and sweet and makes sure that you have everything you need before the exams. Does practice problems before exams and really tries hard to help you pass the class.

Mr. Lott is a fun teacher and a really cool guy. He is very open to answer any questions you have and makes sure you know what will be on the exams and that you know how to do those type of problems. Sometimes when he is lecturing he can get confusing but he will do a lot of examples on the board if you ask him to.

Mr. Lott is a very nice instructor. He cares for his student's achievements. His main lectures are given in a traditional format, but he will answer as many questions/do as many examples as requested by students prior to any quiz/exam. He firmly believes in total disclosure about what to expect in grading/exams. He tends to make math not so scary!

Ron, is a great teacher, but if you are looking for a teacher who will make it super easy for you then find someone else. His calls is not hard, but you have to study. He will make sure that all students are excellent in important material. Most of what he taught showed up on tests and exams. He's the best ever.

Lott is a good prof. He lets you choose between the text and website for homework. He is clear in instruction, but he practically gives away all of the answers. If you are advancing much further in Math then I would find a more technical teacher who gives a solid foundation. Super nice guy. Stands in front of board while working out problems.

I've always been a math-whiz so this class was easy for me. Ron is funny in an old-guy sort of way. He gave us two email addresses along with his cell number to contact him. Kind of a mono-toned voice - might want to bring coffee if math isn't your thing. Bought the online MathLab thing for like $90 - huge mistake. Used it once for an online quiz.

Lott is a really cool guy. He genuinely wants all of his students to pass. He offers many opportunities to make up for lost credit. If you don't pass a class from him, it is honestly your fault. He gives a lot of quizzes but offers a lot of office hours to come and see him for clarification.

The class is not that hard, only some of the homework is manditiory and the tests are not that hard and he gives good practice sections. would highly recommend if you have a hard time in math.

Show up for class and pay attention. He will go over plenty of examples and will tell you what will be and what won't be on the tests. He is an attentive professor who will thoroughly explain any complications you may have. Math isn't hard, it really depends on the quality of explanation the professor gives, which Ron does extraordinarily well.

Ronald is a sweet guy. His class was crazy easy for me and I'm not a math lover. His lectures were pretty dry and put me to sleep but he's very kind to explain and answer questions. Wants all his students to pass. Only graded 1 assignment for each chapter by completeness. Outlined every question for each test and quiz. I never had to study.

Lott is by far the best math teacher I have EVER had. He is so caring and nice he puts a smile on my face almost everyday. He wants students to do well which is hard to find today in teachers. When it gets closer to exam and big test he has meetings at restaurants. Lovely guy, I wish the best for him. LCC is lucky to have him.

Mr. Lott is a great guy! Very funny and caring, sort of like a grandfatherly figure. However, he usually talks in a monotone voice and is not the best at explaining topics. If you're not good at teaching yourself topics from the book, this class may not be for you.

Not too sure how much he might prep you for calculus or other classes like many more reviews on here but I can tell you first hand if you struggle with math and this is the last math class you need to pass he is defintely the guy.
