Do not believe all these good ratings for him. I have always been an above average math student but Ronald is a terrible professor. His class is very long and boring while he goes over the homework and gives a terrible lecture. The school needs to fire him.

This man alone ruined my semester. His final was terrible. He can hardly hear and just babbles on making it very difficult to follow along because he is too old to teach. He makes mistakes while grading the tests as well and it his hard to see him during office hours because he has a short window of time and many students try to see him.

Amazing math professor! I'm a transfer student and I've had a nightmare math prof in the past. Understand, Radloff is fantastic in comparison - he knows how to teach! Thorough with problems, answers any questions, tests are difficult but fair. Some topics are harder than others, but easy A! Apply yourself, use the book, and go to learning center.

He goes over homework the first 40 minutes of class and then takes attendance so you can be late. He is a very boring professor and often needs to be corrected by students. Try and find a better professor but hes a solid plan B.

Worst professor I've ever had, no cap. Long boring lectures twice a week in a monotone phlegmatic voice. I'm actually shocked he has a single positive rating and even more shocked he hasn't been fired. Take him only if you want to regret taking him.

There's only 5 tests, he drops the lowest one and replaces it with the final. There's no homework grades so the only grades you have are the tests. I think he's a really good teacher. He explains things really well. Divides the class into 2 parts, reviews the homework for the 1st half and then you learn new material next. Takes attendance 2nd half

If you havent taken a calculus course before I would choose a different professor, the only reason I got an A was because I learned all this in HS but all the people in my class were failing because he teaches it like its review. Hes also terrible at answering questions, but if you are good at teaching yourself math youll do fine.

I took Honors Calc in high school so coming into this it was pretty simple and mostly a review for me, but longer tests and memorizing all formulas. I did hear that he is one of the hardest calc professors at JMU. So if you're good at math, he's the one for you! Homework isn't graded only four tests and a final. He takes attendance every class.

I would like to preface this by saying i rate all my professors. Radloff is a nice guy, his lectures are pretty dry, but if you pay attention in class, and take good notes you'll be fine. I got a B in the class and didnt do any of the homeworks, just studied a lot for the tests. Overall a good professor, just be prepared for a lecture heavy class.

Professor Radloff only grades based on 4 tests and the final, so the tests make or break your grade. If you are a bad test taker, DO NOT take him. Class examples are like test questions, but he just explains how to do it and assumes you know. I took calc in HS and some methods he used are way harder than what I learned previously.

Radloff is a good professor, just very monotoned. His lectures were easy to follow, but you will fall asleep if you're not paying attention. He assigns homework to help you with the exams, so you don't have to do them, but I highly recommend it. If you study, you'll be fine.

Very nice guy and very approachable, just very monotoned. Very easily to get lost in his lectures. If you lack concentration, this class is not for you. HW is "optional", do it anyways. If you don't do the hw, and don't come to class or listen to him, you won't do well. If you are willing to work, you will be ok. Challenging class, not impossible

Radloff is a cute old man and a super nice prof. There's 4 tests and 1 exam and your exam grade will replace your lowest test grade. The only issue is that he teaches the oldest way of doing math and its pretty hard to stay awake in class. His class is pretty easy so take him for 205 if you get the chance.

Professor Radloff is a very nice math teacher. Dont skip class if you havent taken calculus in awhile or if this is youre first time. He goes over the homework for the first part of class, and is happy to solve any confusion. Btw he drops youre lowest test score and replaces it with your final if you do well.

Prof. Radloff is an older and nice professor. Lectures are your standard boring and straight forward lessons considering it is calculus. Definitely take if you took calc in high school, it is a refresher and can be fairly simple. Goes over homework every class right in the beginning and then passes out the attendance sheet. Drops lowest test grade.

Taking this class online is HORRIBLE. lecture videos suck, half of the examples he goes through don't even correlate to the homework. Textbook sucks too, all the homework is on the website and you can do a problem EXACTLY how the textbook explains it but still get it wrong. Most frustrating math class Ive ever taken. also not quick to email back

Professor Radloff was a fair choice. The class was in person and would sometimes go online which was very difficult. It was hard to keep up with the videos that he posted, because I could barely hear him and was unable to ask all my questions over email. My online testing site glitched during my final, and he did not care and disregarded me.
