A great prof. He makes everything easy to understand. His tests are extremely fair. No tricks.
A little intimidating at first, but teaches with extreme clarity. Awsome guy.
Reed is ok, Kinda a jerk though, he focuses too much on stupid details and doesn't explain the hard details well enough. Too much details for an anatomy class that already has so much material to cover. His tests aren't too bad though.
Very poor teaching.
fiarly easy class, goes over lots of details that usually are not on tests, pay attention to major details and you will do fine.
He had the ability to turn anatomy-a dry subject, into very interesting lectures with his excellent charisma and people presence. His jokes, anecdotes and hottness, was enough to keep me awake for the 8am lectures. Tests were fair, if you studied what he told you too. don't buy textbook/atlas/

Makes fair tests. Tells you what to pay attention to. Just print out his notes and don't buy the textbook.
How stupid could one man be.
The dumbest person ive ever met.
i think he weas a good prof. he explained things well and he was very nice. make 8 am classes less horrible. i recommend him
Excellent prof who takes test information straight from the notes. He's not out to trick you, and it's easy to get an A if you work hard. Enthusiastic and approachable, and an overall nice guy. I think those who don't like him may just be overwhelmed with the course, as it is a heavy load. I would highly recommend him, he really knows his stuff.
I really don't know why people are calling him dumb. He really knows his stuff, he's passionate about what he does, and is a genuinely nice guy who wants people to learn. The material isn't a breeze but it's easy enough if you put a little effort in.
extremely helpful guy, couldn't have taught human anat any better, definetly recommend him! i don't know what these other bad ratings are about don't listen to them.
Solid. Reed's a good****, stoked on what he's teaching, and goes out of his way to take an interest in the performance of his students. 8 am lectures were no problem, and i sleep LOTS
Incredible Prof. He really tries to make sure you understand the material. The class itslef is really interesting and this year(Fall 06) it's at 10am, plus he's a funny guy.
Very Good teacher! Definitely kept me awake for the 8am class, and made evrything "Devastatingly obvious". He wants everyone to do well. An easy A if you go to open labs and read through the notes.
amazing prof. no one else can keep my attention at 8 in the morning or even keep me awake. makes the stuff very interesting, even though it is interesting already. He helps you get a good grade and isn't there to make you fail like alot of the profs in univesity. If you go to open lab and read notes and listen, easy A! FOR REAL!
Overrated
So interesting to listen to!
REED IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER, I could not say anything bad about him. AT ALL, hes good looking too!
very good anatomy teacher, keeps it up beat for such a dry concepts
Ferber is a great guy and you can tell he wants you to succeed. Very friendly and accessible and does his best to keep the endless anatomy interesting. Go to class even if you are stuck in an 8 AM one- he really helps clarify the concepts and make sure you go to open labs or his office hours if you need extra help. Great prof overall.
Reed makes getting up at 8 am worth it. The class is fun and interesting! Just like he said, he's not trying to trick you and questions on the exams are right out of his notes. Do go to class as he provides helpful hints for lab and questions that will be on the exam. Found lab exams harder than lecture but go to open lab and you'll be fine.
Great Prof.
doesn't try to trick you but will test you on absolutely everything he teaches.
AWESOME...nuff said
Wow. Reed is the best prof in the faculty, hands down. He cares about the success of his students. He's an engaging speaker and makes getting up at 8 am so worth it!
The best professor in my 3 years of undergrad so far. Very engaging and great lecturer. Adds interesting facts to lectures. Worth getting up at 8:00am. Straight forward and fair exams that are straight from lecture material. Labs with cadavers are awesome! I'm sad the class is over.
Best prof yet
Amazing :D Makes the 8 o'clock class worth every minute. His exams are right from his notes so the textbook may not be worth it.
Basically the best class of my entire life.
Maybe it's just me but I am not impressed with how he teaches the human anatomy. Everything is so rushed and I end up teaching the whole thing to myself. He is able to engage the class well but can't get his information across to students at the same level.
walker is way better. ferber rushes and all the things he teaches are on the lab exam. he makes to many jokes and thinks hes way to funny.
He RUSHES to much, speeds through everything, I am not a kines major nor have i ever taken a sports med class before, so this class isnt easy. He talks way to fast and I cant keep up, Walker atleast teaches us everything slowly so we undertsand, this guy expects us to know it all before hand, Also he seems kind of mean, Avoid, unless you loves kine
One of the best profs I have ever had. I looked forward to going to class every Mon/Wed/Fri at 8am because he's so enthusiastic. He might rush through things at times BUT he always has a review class before exams and he tells you EXACTLY what you need to know. GREAT test questions! THIS CLASS IS AWESOME!!!!
He is my FAVORITE professor! Literally will repeat something until everyone understands, and when he gets asked questions, he genuinely tries his best to help out. Very funny and energetic, lots of visual explaining and i love his bow ties :) definitely worth getting up for his 8 am class
I find that people misunderstand the reality of this guy's teaching. Yes yes ferber your stories are funny, but it's not funny when we have to study everything ourselves because your lectures are so awful. He rushes through his notes and the quality is poor. Cut the stories ferber and spend more time on the actual work.
Provides good notes but expects you to write down everything he says because it is definitely on the exam. EXTREMELY detailed questions. Throws out things on the exam that he briefly mentions in class. Also, when you email him for questions he replies with rude one answer emails such as "nope", or simply doesn't reply at all.
Definitely one of my best teachers I've had! He's very clear, with great notes and somehow manages to make lectures funny.
The class was fun :) except it had to be 8 am class.
Awesome teacher the subject he teaches is difficult but he knows how to get it across.
He is a great prof to have for an 8am class. Super funny! You don't need the textbook, he tells you everything you need to know in class. If you study, you will do fine on his tests. Fair guy
Excellent prof! very clear in what he explains and expects out of you. Easy A class. However he never responds to emails which was kinda frustrating... ...
I liked him. Goes through convoluted concepts pretty fast, so I would recommend you bring a recorder to class so you can go over his points again later while you have time to really let the concepts sink in. It helped me a lot...
Really energetic and makes all concepts clear. Answers all questions thoroughly and the anatomy itself isn't very difficult at all.
Super nice, funny and clear. He will repeat things even if not asked, which helps a lot. Ask questions and he does the best he can to answer your question to make sure you understand. All around awesome!
Really smart guy with hilarious stories that really spice up an 8AM class!
MOST AMAZING HUMAN. I love reed, he takes the time to go through everything again and again because he wants you to understand the material. I wish he taught every class.
Fantastic prof, captivating lecturer, and great at using analogies and demonstrations to help students understand the mechanics of the body.
Great class! One of the best professors here. It may be difficult material, but his tests are very fair, and straight forward. He tells you how to study, and what to study. study it, and it will be super easy.
Definitely recommended! He is very approachable and always makes the 8AM classes interesting. If you take good notes and memorize hard, you could definitely get good mark.
Fantastic prof! Explained everything really well!
Dr. Ferber is one of the greats for sure! He will do literally whatever it takes to make sure you understand a concept. His exam questions are very straightforward if you know the material, but a lot of what he says in lecture will wind up on the test. Absolutely brilliant professor!
If you go to lecture, it's a sure fire way to get a high mark. His questions are straight forward and he will always take the time to explain in lecture. Don't be afraid to approach him, he's really nice! I never really liked anatomy before, but he really gave me an interest in the material.
He's a great prof! Really clear and good at answering your questions!
Awesome prof, very funny and a great teacher. Really knows his stuff and never speeds through lectures! Super accommodating if you ask him to slow down or explain something again. Lecture material is tricky at times so study hard! I recommend using the textbook as a study guide!
Professor Ferber made going to class at 8am bearable, he is a fantastic speaker and makes his lectures interesting so even though I was usually extremely tired I never found it difficult to pay attention.
Dr. Ferber is amazing in lecture, making it easy to recall concepts on exams because he really tries to make sure people understand him. Study (hard) and go to lots of open labs to do well. Labs are not really related to lectures (more in depth material, different approach - high expectations!) so it's tough to study for them both at once.
Reed really knows his stuff & is great at going into additional depth about anatomy if asked. The only minor complaint I have is that he wasn't very clear about which movements he expected us to know for the lecture final (i.e. scapular depression, etc.) That being said, when asked in office hours he was able to clarify!
Gave awesome lectures! He wouldn't move on unless everyone understood the concept. Introduced concepts in several different ways to ensure all learning styles could understand. He told quite a few very interesting and relevant stories.
Dr. Ferber is an amazing prof, who truly cares about his students. He makes complicated material and concepts simple, and constantly asks for feedback to get a sense of how the class is going. Only thing I would change is that his lecture slides don't have much content on them, so to know everything about the concept you would have to go to lecture
Amazing professor, I don't know why so many people complain about him going to fast. He gives plenty of opportunities for people to ask questions.
Reed makes you responsible for everything said and shown in lecture, so show up to class. His test questions are difficult so make sure you study, there is a lot to know. But he is a great prof, really funny, and really cares about his students success.
He teaches a great class. They're usually early in the morning but don't skip. not only because he explains a lot of the course material in a great way but also because the lectures themselves are really interesting. He's very active on D2L and will post notes that are shown in lectures online.
Reed is an amazing prof! Explains material very well, but you have to go to class.
seriously he's the best. I love his class and his personality so much. He really cares about his students and loves when students ask him a question during the lectures. and his explanations are so clear.
Dr. Ferber is hilarious. Always wears a bow tie and likes to climb on the table for visual demonstrations. He is very energetic and extroverted, which makes his lectures interesting and worthwhile. He only teaches the anatomy part so you wont see him often. IF this class is an option for you, inform yourself about the Lab part first (cadavers)!
Great professor, gives amazing lectures but if you don't show up, you won't pass. Very easy to get a hold of if you need help and will clarify and explain the topics in different ways so everyone understands. Will not use the textbook!!
Reed is an awesome lecturer! He is extremely passionate about anatomy. You need to attend lectures if you want to do well as he expands from the topics on the slides provided. Content is heavy but he makes 8 am lectures very enjoyable and entertaining! Don't buy the textbook, all the information is in the slides or worst case you can Google it!
Reed is an amazing prof who makes you want to come to class (even 8ams!). He is clear with his instruction and very passionate about what he does. He also cares a lot about all of his students and makes you feel very welcome! You should be fine without the textbook, but it helps if you are struggling with a concept.
A&P classes are very lecture heavy. Reed is funny but he tests super hard, you won't expect it until you get to the first midterm but his questions are WAAAY harder than the physiology ones. He talks alot in class about random, not applicable stuff but it's interesting. Nice guy.
An amazing teacher. Often drops in funny jokes to help memorize the material. Makes sure you understand the material before moving on and is more than happy to answer questions. Although the notes for each lecture can be found online, he often expands on the topics and attending lectures is highly recommended.
Makes hard material easy to understand because he explains things multiple times in different ways to try and make sure everyone understands. Trying to switch into his KNES260 lecture for the winter semester because I enjoy his teaching so much
great professor, explains material in multiple ways to ensure everyone understands.
Takes his time to explain concepts in many different ways and is a super friendly prof! The anatomy section of the tests are definitely harder than expected though, so I would suggest spending more time than you think you need to study anatomy. Didn't end up using the textbook at all because he explained it clearly enough!
Reed was a great prof! However, he expands beyond his lecture notes in class, so its important to come. Hes very funny and entertaining, and he has clever ways of helping us understand the material! So funny when he jumps on a desk or uses chairs to explain things visually
Great Prof! Engaging and interesting lectures. However, lecture notes are not sufficient lots of what is said in the lecture is testable so make sure you go to class.
Reed is an amazing professor. He makes sure that the entire class understands a concept before moving on and makes it even more entertaining by telling funny stories. He answers questions precisely, but his office hours are quite limited so catch him after class if anything!
Reed's lectures are hilarious, and are a good way to wake up at 8am. He jumps up on his desk and does the anatomy dance to explain things in different ways. His part of the tests are harder than you'd think though, and no lab didn't prepare you, so make sure you study just as hard for anatomy as the physiology.
Imagine first day of classes in your first year at 8am and you get welcomed by Reed. Honestly no better way to start your undergrad degree. Kind, helpful, will literally do anything to help you learn. He clearly cares about his students learning. Go to class, ask questions, study.
Reed is so energetic and his lectures are so entertaining. His explanations are clear, and he takes time to make sure everyone has a good understanding. Coming to class is important because he expands upon his notes. His sections of tests are definitely a bit difficult, but doable if you study. As long as you put in the work you'll do well.
He's pretty good, however when in his lecture he does tend to jump randomly from different concepts. That's really the only bad thing. Either then that his lectures are always interesting and he is very enthusiastic about what he does. When going to his office hours he can be a little intimidating though, but is still very helpful.
Amazing at introducing complicated topics, but can sometimes get a little excited and speed up. Lots of enjoyable stories that will let you take a quick break. Super passionate about teaching and enjoys helping his students
Dr. Ferber is a class act, he is well spoken and concise in his communication. Effective analogies as well as comical and insightful anecdotal experiences related to content will keep you engaged and interested in it.
Hes just the best, nothing else i can say
Simply a great professor! Exceptionally knowledgeable about the course content, teaches well, and is very professional.
The BEST anatomy prof ever! He knows his materials so well and translates it within his lectures in an easy and understandable way! Testing is very fair and clear in terms of expectations as well! Easy to approach and is a very energetic individual.
He speaks really clearly and makes an effort to accommodate various learning styles. Great fashion sense.
Make sure you pay attention to everything he says during lectures. Very clear and good at explaining concepts.
gives great examples and im a huge fan!! hes super outgoing and professional and doesn't make you feel stupid if you ask a question. honestly one of the best profs ever!
Really made online classes due to Covid as clear and easy as possible.
Great prof, lectures are straight forward, describes concepts in a variety of ways to help you understand. Can sometimes seem intimidating but just don't be dumb and you're chilling
Got great grasp of the material and knew it really well but his questions on tests I find unfair. I can understand wanting to test some spelling, but it needs to be more reasonable than hiding a single "o" in a word and thinking I can notice the difference, especially at the end of an 80 question exam. It was cheap and not dyslexia friendly.
I really enjoyed his lectures even though they were online. Go for office hours! Any questions you might have he will clarify. He's friendly even though he may seem daunting at times. He doesn't like his time wasted, thats something to be aware of that he's really strict on his time but other than that definitely would take his class.
Lectures are straightforward, clear, and concise. Explains concepts in different ways to help you understand it clearly. Lectures are well organized and easy to get through
Very good teacher - clear and concise. Questions were mostly fair. Would absolutely take another class with him. Didn't ever use the expensive textbook he recommended though.
Reed Ferber is awesome at teaching anatomy - even online (Fall 2020). He is helpful during office hours and through email and doesn't make you feel dumb but wants everyone to succeed. Would recommend to learn from him any chance you get!
Ferber is a great prof and is really passionate about what he does. His assignments and exams for the wearable tech class were very fair. Although, I did find his lectures a bit all of the place and the lecture material could be a bit more cohesive and organized, otherwise a great prof and option class to take.
Professor Ferber makes anatomy engaging, even online. Textbook is a must, but the lectures are clear and passion-driven. While the exams can be challenging, using tools like unstuck ai helps prep effectively. Overall, a rewarding class to take.
