Ok so in high school i totally sucked at math and when i was in his class, he made it so easy. even though he makes these corny jokes, these jokes make you remember stuff for tests and stuff. hes realy corny but hes a great teacher and he'll do whatever he can to make you not only pass but get an A.

Prof. Skurnick is a wonderful and respectable teacher. A teacher like him is hard to find. He is very clear with his teaching style. His review sheets have similiar questions that he would put on the test, he gives you plenty of problems for hw to practice and explains them clearly. He's very fair.

Honestly, Professor Skurnick is an exceptional professor. He succeeds in making mathematics a fun and interesting subject. This man was born to teach. His ability to teach is superior to that of any tacher i have had in any subject. Skurnick is exceptionally caring and always makes himself available to students.

GREAT Professor ! I've taken him for MAT 101, MAT 122 and MAT 123. He explains everything in details when you ask a question. I recommend Professor Skurnick to everyone. Class is very interesting especially with his jokes. Test is a little tough but as long as you study from his review sheet you should be fine. You will enjoy his class.

Skurnick is probably the best math teacher I've ever had. His jokes are corny, but better than no jokes at all. Tests are pretty straightforward - they're just the problems on the review sheet with different numbers. But he DOES put in little "tricks," so you have to study and understand the concepts.

Even though i got a D+(which I don't know how that happened) he is still a great professor. Very sick, and funny man.

Prof Skurnick, you are the man! Period. I love this guy. Weird(in a good way) but funny. 4 tests but drops the lowest grade. Very helpful and easy. Good teacher, horrible tests. I knew how to do everything and totally understood all the concepts and ended up with a C in the class. Test problems are much trickier and more complicated than review probs he tells you to study.

Really good teacher he takes his time going through each chapter and new topic. If you miss a day or so and need to catch up he will more than be willing to help you. Great teacher. Works hard to make sure everyone understands. Cuts up enough in class to keep it interesting. Make sure you do the homework and don't get behind. He let's you opt out of the final if you want, so make sure you do well on the early tests.

Im taking his class now. He makes everything interesting and very fun. I enjoy this class a lot. I was taking statistics and the teacher I had was very difficult to understand, but in this class its completely opposite. Definately my favorite teacher so far. A+. Prior to this I HATED math. But Skurnick really opened my eyes to something new. He's an amazingly talented teacher who really cares about his students and does all he can to help them. I suggest him for math ANYTIME you can take him he is THE BEST. Honestly, not only is he my teacher, but he's become like a friend to me as well.

He's a quirky guy who makes math easier to understand. He gives out HW, but that's so you can practice on problems and see if you understand it. He was cool enough to sometimes let the class pick if they wanted a multiple choice or not. If you come to class, try some of the HW, you shouldn't have any problem.

im currently taking his mat 122 class. He's a great person will stay late with you and help you in his office hours.the exams are extremely hard. he basically gives you a review sheet with 20 problems that will be on the test but he makes it 30x harder. i regret taking him. his jokes can get to much sometimes because it makes the student not care.

He is such a great professor! He wants you to do well and will give you the help you need if you ask for it! Class was funny and entertaining! He made calculus much easier to understand. His exams can be a little difficult sometimes and consist of about 7-8 questions. Just make sure you study!

This professor has been great help, esp. to remedial students. If you need a prof who teaches algebra well take this prof and you will pass the exit exam with a 96 like me, or even higher.

I took Calculus with him last Spring. He makes Calculus supper easy to understand him. I dropped Cal when I took it with another prof. so I was afraid I couldn't get good grade in prof. Skurnick's class but 1st test I got 86, 2nd test 100, and 3rd test 99. His tests are not easy if you don't practice doing problems. Good luck!

Amazing teacher Easy to get an A just show up to class and pay attention. HW doesnt count so textbook use is at ur own discretion, might not even need it. Skurnick is awesome! I actually liked him so much for remedial 001 that I made my next schedule around his class to make sure I had him for 002. It is as simple as this - As long as he see's you trying he'll work with you, according to you. Very simple and to the point. Very very easy to understand and helpful. Highly recommended!!

Professor Skurnick is excellent. He explains everything thoroughly and will not move on until he feels everyone really understands the material. Some of the material is easy and some can be challenging. Don't think you don't have to put in any extra work for yourself though. If you don't you certainly won't get a good grade.

While he is an amazing proff he is very tough on grading the test. the others that took him for calc 1 most had a B-C average while alot dropped out at the end also on tests every step you write needs to be perfect on the test so watch out.

The best math professor at NCC. He taught in an organized way and explain things at a slow pace. He made Calculus 1 seem really easy. He was funny and really nice. I took take him again. If you want to get an "A" in his class you must take down notes, you must study those notes, and then do the homework he assigns. I guarantee you an "A."

Goes through literally every step of every problem, which is good i guess but it made the class feel sluggish. Still, a great teacher and he really cares about every student. Calculus is so hard and he doesn't curve at all which is annoying. I took the final with like 5 other kids because everyone dropped. Lots of hw but he doesn't check it.

Just keep in mind that he's a very very good professor and he is very good at teaching such a rough subject like Calculus. However, if you do not practice the homework questions he gives you, you'll never pass him class. Without practice, you can't be good at math regardless. His exams are difficult so make sure you practice, practice, and practice

THE BEST PROFESSOR I EVER HAD! I took him the summer and let me tell you it wasn't easy but if you do all your homework and don't miss any classes you will pass with an east A-B. Also, his exams are fair ONLY if you do his hw and his review sheet. There r no surprises in the exam. Very similar to the review sheet. But if u don't practice any questions, then his exam will be hard. Prof like him changes students lives like mine! He truly is an amazing person!!! Thank you Prof. for all your help.

He is an amazing Professor and makes Calculus look easy. Great guy. I highly recommend him.

Fun Class, Very helpful teacher and kind of funny.

This class was very fun and professor skurnick is HILARIOUS. Calculus is difficult but he explains it really well and outlined everything step by step. I never missed a day and did all of his homework and studied for his tests for hours but found that the problems on the tests were too long for the short amount of time we had to do them.

I took him for logic and theory I failed it the first time with a horrible professor. I thought I was gonna fail again. how do you take a math class that has no math go figure he was so great I passed with a B+. he only grades on test. 3 tests and the final is optional. great man and make learning fun! I would take him again just for the hell of it

Prof Skurnick is amazing at what he does. Calculus is a very hard class but he tries to simplify as much as possible. But if you don't practice questions then his class will be very hard. But he goes out of his way to try to help you. He was able to fill in the gaps for me that I should have known getting into calc. I have so much respect for him!

He is super goofy and makes a lot of weird noises. Buuut this is a logic course, and without his humor, it would have been impossible to pay attention. He takes a long time explaining things in lectures, which may be annoying to some, but I know would be helpful for other students. Tests are easy if you pay attention. The final is optional

I had not taken a math course since high school in the 90s and I wasnt good at it then so I went into this class worried. Well professor Skurnik was amazing! He explained everything to us until we got it. He wasnt always receptive to emails and helped with any question i had. Ill take the A thank you very much!

Great professor no in class test. You have to purchase mymatlab code because all test are given through that website. He's very funny while teaching so you'll have no choice but to learn.

Professor Ronald is an excellent professor. He's very patient answers to every question. He breaks down the material to the point you can understand it. Always have the time for the students even with his office hours. He encourages you to be the best never makes you feel like you do not know what you are talking about. He teaches with his heart.

I HATE MATH however Prof. Skurnick explained each formula according to the problem. He is very caring and will give each student a chance to ask questions even if it's a repeated question. When everyone in the class passes a final you know he's a wonderful teacher.

It's been 12 years since I took Skurnik for Pre-Calc and Calc courses. Every once in a while I take a look back at what news students think of some of my favorite professors. Skurnik was easily my top 5 of all time. Great professor, hilarious, truly one-of-a-kind personality. I feel like he could star in a movie about himself. Loved Skurnik!

Hes the BEST BEST BEST teacher Ive ever had! With math I usually learn it and forget it once the class is over, but with him he made it stick! hes so funny and shows that he really cares about each and every student.

Prof Skurnick is awesome !! I would 1000% reccomend taking this professor. He goes over problems step by step, and makes sure you understand what hes teaching. If you actually put in effort to doing his problems, and studying you will for sure pass

Prof. Skurnick is by far my favorite professor! He's really good at teaching and very funny as well, he reminds of Robin Williams ! The tests are very fair and based on what is covered in class. If you pay attention and put in the effort, you will do well. I definitely recommend taking his class!

He's really great. Math is a difficult subject for me but he made the time in class so enjoyable and easy to follow. He wanted everyone in the class to do well and he put effort into making sure everyone understood the lesson. Definitely take his class! Also, he makes a lot of jokes. And weird noises.

Not enough space to say all the good about this dude. Made me feel comfortable with math. Never made me feel dumb for asking even the simplest of questions. I loved Ronald. He was a great teacher-math doesnt come naturally to me but I started to understand how to solve the equations. I passed the exit exam for 012 on first. Hes very caring and it was a pleasure being in his class.

Good professor. Funny and makes math interesting. Must do homework in order to further understand the material but not mandatory. Very helpful during office hours.

I honestly didn't think I would pass my final exam to get out of remedial , he did such an awesome job with teaching us the material that we needed to know . Do not take advantage because if you skip you will not pass.

I totally recommended professor Snurnick 100%. He let you work in group and doesn't put due date on the homework. When you send him an email asking question, he response right away. My class was for two hours, but it felt like 30 minutes. He is the funniest guy ever. I wish he was my professor for my next math class. Best of luck professor

There are no words that could describe how amazing Prof. Skurnick is. His excellent teaching skills and wonderful lectures make calculus extremely easy. Also, he is very patient, and he is willing to answer questions no matter how many you have. I highly recommend him. It has been a huge honor to take course with him!!!!

Awesome professor! Math is not an easy subject for me but he teaches everything by breaking down steps in a clear way! He was funny and kept me awake despite attending his class in the evening after work. Highly recommend!

Explains really well. Follow his lecture classes, do the homework up to date to do good in the exam. The exam is similar to what he teaches in class, homework & the revision sheet he provides. He is a very nice and hardworking professor. Even in an online class for the pandemic, he made it similar to the class atmosphere.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Prof Skurnick is one of the BEST professors at NCC, in my opinion. He makes learning fun and easy, which is hard to do with math lol. Although, we were not graded on much. Basically just attendance, tests, and participation. (But I got an A for the semester and I never raised my hand/answered questions, I did well on tests)

Honestly, one of the best profs at Nassau CC. His lectures were very clear and easy to follow. He responds to any questions immediately and makes sure you understand it. Every lecture is recorded so you can go back and review. Great prof with a slightly wacky sense of humor. I really enjoyed this class.

Professor Skurnick was such a joy. Math is not my strongest subject and learning virtually didn't make it any easier but Professor Skurnick made it as painless as he could. Attend class, pay attention and DO THE HOMEWORK and you won't have any problems. Definitely would recommend and would take his class again!!

Professor Skurnick makes learning fun again. He is one of the rare ones who actually truly cares, and will spend the extra time to help you during his office hours and via emails. Your final grade will be based on your best 3 scores out of 4 exams (he will drop the lowest). He also sends cloud recording of the lectures, which helps a lot!!

Professor Skurnick is so amazing. One of the best math professor's at Nassau Community College. His lectures are very easy to understand. He is very patient and kind to his students. All of lectures are recorded via zoom, it is very helpful when reviewing the material and reviewing for an exam. Do the homework and review sheets and you will do well

I love how attentive he is! he truly cares about his students and makes math fun even if you hate it. He's been by far my favorite professor at NCC.

Not an easy A class but one of the greatest Professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Made calculus very easy to understand. He is very concise and clear on all concepts, even the very difficult ones. I would take him for the next level calc in a heartbeat. As long as you put forth the effort he will bend over backwards to help you.

The Professor is truly hilarious which goes a long way in a math class. He provides everything you need to pass the class, a lot of good materials to use. he does proctor the tests so be prepared for that I am an awful math student and I was able to pass the class so if you're worried about getting that requirement out of the way, take this class!

I really wish he was available to teach me everything life, not just math. No but seriously, a superb professor. He is patient, kind, and explains things carefully and thoroughly. He also has great sense of humor. What more could you ask for? "I'm here but not all there.."
