The hardest english class I've ever had. I learned a lot but had to endure his ego. Very abrasive, but lets up by the end of the sememster. Most people drop before the end of the semester. Expects 100% every day. No sleeping in the back of class.

Prof. Smith is an intelligent, inspirational teacher but is a hard grader. Attend class, put in the work (participating during class and self-advocating), submit work on time, and you will receive a good grade. Highly recommend this course with him; he does require a lot of reading and critical thinking. Will benefit you as a student + for future.

Attendance and participation matters a lot! In this class you will become a better reader and writer only if you also want to put in the work. The professor is very willing to help and encourages to reach out as well!

I really enjoyed the course. I felt as if I was being pushed to be a better student. He tries to teach you as much as he can and helps you along the way. He is always there to help. I felt challenged, and because of it I know I can better face future ones. His course takes a lot of effort, but it is very rewarding.

Professor Smith is not your average professor. If you want an easy A, then take another class. His class isn't about the grade, it is what you take away from it. After the class, you will come out with a better understanding of the subject. But must be willing to buckle down. Overall, good class if you want a challenge.
