Ron is hilarious, although his tests are a little hard, it just makes you study all the more.. If you want a class that will make u laugh and enjoy, he is the one.. Very intelligent man and believes in what he teacher.. U ROCK RON!

Ron makes class fun and easy to go to. He prepares you well for tests with review sheets. The music he plays before class is a nice little fun touch only Ron can pull off. I highly suggest Ron Young if you have to take bus101 or bus105.

Great, great, great teacher. The best teacher I have had at Valley. I had him for Bus 101 as well. There is about 5 or 6 tests and one big assignment. You are not punished for absences but going to his classes are fun. If you're not a morning person you will still want to wake up for this class!!

Professor Young is a great teacher. I highly recommend taking a course that is taught by him. He has hilarious stories that go along with everything. There are 6 grades for the class, all material is covered in class so if you show up and take good notes you should be good. I never even bought a book, I don't think anyone in my class did actually.

He is an awesome teacher. He plays rock music at the beginning of each class. He doesn't require the textbook. As long as you show up for every class he gives you the outline of the test in his notes and he also reviews for the test. All his tests are multiple choice. Awsome! One time this dude asked a long rambling question that didn't make any sense, and when he was done talking, Ron got this funny look on his face and he was like "OK, I understood each word individually, but it lacked something as a sentence." Peace and love!!!

Is a cool teacher. The notes compared to test are a little hard to follow. His stories didn't really help me understand the info, but are fun to hear! He will help if you ask. Will also give you advice about stocks,money, investment etc. if you ask. make sure you pay attention and do the stock market project correctly!

Technically great teacher- perfect notes and easy class. However, he has questionable "moral" value. Although he is "joking", when he makes **** jokes ("women shouldn't have the right to vote") and passes out extremely Republican biased articles (and gives test questions on them!!), one begins to believe that there is a bit of truth in jokes...

Absolute favorite! I took his class during the summer (8 weeks) which were 2 1/2 hour lectures twice a week. Surprisingly, that time felt like barely over 1 hour because of his funny stories, and humor in general. Class of 100ish had avg test scores of about 80% but I found no trouble getting 96% on each. The only bad thing I would have to say is that he doesn't teach enough classes. Almost want to take his classes again because they are so fun!

If you just make sure that you are at every class that you can possibly get to for lecture (and actually put your own effort into it), you will do very well in this course. I changed my major to marketing after this class. He doesn't give you anything but if you do the work he will give you the grade you earned and he does not penalize you on small issues like some teachers. This was a really good class. It's completely lecture based, but the good news is you don't have to buy a book. He's really funny and gives a lot of good examples from his own personal experiences. I really liked Mr. Young I felt like his lectures where too much for me, but his stories where great. He originally told the class to take back our book and then for some reason would refer to it which was annoying. You have one major assignment all you have to do is follow the directions. If you miss something you'll lose a bunch of points.

Took Ron's Bus 101 and 105 classes and really enjoyed them. His lectures and his tests are always well organized and clear, making taking the class and studying for the tests enjoyable and really straightforward. Just a heads up about the group project in 105 - pick your group wisely, because if you don't, it makes for a very stressful semester.

Ron Young is hilarious. He's the kind of Professor everyone wants to have. On the first day of his class I thought he was going to be bad and mean (the way he looks), but he is the most hilarious teacher I've ever had.

My writing hand was tired after every lecture because everything he writes down on his board will most likely end up on the tests. Ron Young was my first Business professor and one of the few professors that stood out to me through my four years of Undergrad. Another one of the best Professors in Kalamazoo. Blows the "ego" professors of WMU out-of-the-water. He's a great teacher. He loves to tell stories which illustrate business concepts. Just make sure to take good notes, start the stock project early, and prepare well for the tests. He has very strong political views, but as long as you can live with that, then I would highly recommend him.

Much of the marketing class will be review from 101. He tells the best stories from his experiences that apply to the material. There is a group project which lasts all semester, but his grading is incredibly fair (coming from someone who did the majority of the work) and you rate your group members at the end of the project. Great prof!!!

Ron Young is one of my favorite teachers of all time! He was always very lively and funny. He also has stories to go along with each topic he teaches us, which make it very memorable! Easy class. Learned a lot.

Ron is really knowledgeable about all things business. I took him for BUS 101 & 105 & both were great. He has the class structured really nicely & always prepares you for tests with an in-depth review. There's a group project that wasn't my favorite, but in business you have to learn how to work with others. Don't take this class with anyone else!

I took his class 5 years ago, and I'm still learning things from the lectures I remember. This man is so very knowledgeable about business, and this is shown through his engaging (and hilarious!) anecdotes. He taught me how to be a leader, how to shave, how to succeed in school, and how to make it in the "real world." Don't miss out.

Ronald Young is an amazing professor and highly recommend taking his classes. I had him for BUS101 and Marketing, and he was excellent in teaching both. The tests are all taken from the notes, but showing up is required otherwise you won't pass. He's interesting, and his lectures never get boring.

Ron is the best professor that Kalamazoo Valley has to offer. He is so knowledgeable of all aspects of business. He tells stories all throughout class of his life experiences and they are hilarious and actually help you remember and understand the content. Ronald Young is a great professor. He is there to help you pass. Always invites you to ask questions about anything you dont understand. Theres a end of the semester project that you start about 9 weeks before its due. And hes always willing to provide feedback for any part as the semester goes on. He wants everyone to love his class.

Words don't describe how amazing of a professor Ron is. Uses great examples to engage the students. No textbook, take notes from the lecture. Study guides provided the class before the test. Grade is dependent on 5 tests, marketing project/stock market project, and the final. Great classes, even better professor to teach it. THANK YOU RON!

BEST PROF EVER. Even after I transferred to Western, Ron is still my favorite instructor. Hes drop-dead hilarious, tells tons of topic-related, personal stories, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. Take him over anyone else in BUS department!!!

100% would recommend Professor Young, even if you aren't a business major. He teaches from personal experience, thus no textbook needed. This course can set the stage for your business career and those going into other fields are prepared for the workforce.

I took BUS101 and 105 my second year of college with Ron and he is still my favorite-ever professor, and Im a senior at WMU now!! I still remember his hilarious stories, his amazing way of answering students questions, and how he is obviously VERY successful and business-savvy. Take his classes and ask lots of questions!!

Ron is conservative (refreshing perspective in college), funny, and to the point, tests are easy if you just listen to the lectures, and the stock market project is somewhat time intensive but easy material. I wish I could take him for every other business class. Did I mention he has a TON of real world business experience?

Ron Young is a legend around these parts. He is hilarious, has experience, and genuinely cares about a student's success. I didn't even have to buy a textbook so that was a huge plus! Tests and quizzes aren't that worrisome and he covers most of it on review days. That's a wrap!

Ronald Young really is a once in a lifetime professor. From his hilarious anecdotes to clear lectures and grading criteria, you can't go wrong choosing him as your instructor. After BUS 101 with him, I rearranged my next semester schedule entirely just so I could take BUS 105 with him and changed my major... You're a fool not to take his class.

Ron is probably the best professor I have ever had. You have to show up and take good notes but he will clearly explain everything you need to know with plenty of detail. He is funny and a good instructor. College would be more enjoyable if more professors were like him.

Ron is incredible. After I had him for BUS100 I changed my ENTIRE schedule so I could have him in BUS105, both a 98%. Your grade is based on large, semester long projects, and tests. He takes attendance. Anything on the board is something you need to know unless he says otherwise, so write it down! Understanding, fun, knowledgeable professor.
