She's a good professor all around. She's had a good background with schools and students and is fair in the classroom. The class isn't hard and she's not hard to work with. Take this professor and you will not regret it. Just make sure you actually go to class.

I LOVE Professor Bailey! Get your quizzes and speech outlines done on time. It's not hard if you're a good student and you put some effort into the class. She cuts so many students so much slack all of the time, even though she doesn't have to. She's very kindhearted and has a good sense of humor. She wants to help you succeed and is encouraging!

It is a very easy class, it doesn't get any easier than this. I loved every moment in her class. It was something to get you out of your comfort zone if you are a shy/quiet person. You basically get points for volunteering your topics and for doing your impromptus. And it is VERY FUN!!!!!

She is amazing!!! She makes pubic speaking bearable. 3 main speeches, 2-3 impromptu speeches (30 secs each), possible group speech at the end of class. I don't think I would have made it through the course without her. She will work with you and do everything she can to help you pass. Class is fun and becomes like a family.

Such an easy class, I took her for interpersonal Communication because I hate talking in front of the class. All her quizzes are online, she super nice ans funny. Just show up to class, do your assignments and there is no way you cant pass. There is only 1 speech towards the end of the semester but thats it. HIGHLY recommend her!

At first I was taking biology but I dropped it and took this flex class instead because I needed to fill the gap. I didn't even look her up when i chose her. After I saw her reviews I was excited and honestly the reviews are all true. One of the best Professors at Valencia. She cares and is here to help us. just don't like the speech outlines :/

One of the best professors I have ever taken! A really smooth class just as long as you come to class and do the speech outlines you'll be good. She works with you if you don't really like public speaking and gives you a chance. She does intersting 30 second impromptus every here and there to help you get used to it.

Most amazing professor ever. She was so caring & understanding. I couldnt buy a book so she printed the chapters for me. She didn't force me to participate unless I wanted to because I was so shy. Eventually I wasn't afraid to do my presentation in the end her words of encouragement. The quizes online were from the book we had easy discussions too.

Prof. Bailey is one of the best teachers I've ever had I wish I could take her for every subject. She cares a lot about her students, she has amazing lectures, and the class is super easy. As long as you show up, participate, and do the quiz every week you'll pass the class no problem there was only one speech the whole semester and it was cake.

Speech can be terrifying because you're presenting in front of a bunch of people, but Ronda is amazing! She will make sure everyone gets to know each other and you WILL pass this class. Show up for class. Submit your outlines on time, and you'll be alright. There is a book required but she tends to go over it, and it's on Canvas so don't buy it.

Face to Face: An Awesome Prof! 11 easy quizzes online. Only 1 speech to give upfront of class. If you have a hard time talking to others, she will help you get out of your shell. She talks a lot and rants on about each chapter of the book, that you DON'T need to buy. Participate and show up BEFORE class starts and you'll pass without a problem.

Textbook was free online, assignments were very easy discussion posts that you used the textbook to help answer. Only one very easy research speech about any country on flipgrid. Prof was extremely open-minded, responsive, kindhearted and it was overall a great experience. Definitely recommend her for communication courses.

Gives really good feedback on speeches but beware, she can be picky at the start but once you do what she says, she is very easy to get an A. Loved this class! I was super nervous going into speech but Ronda made it so fun! A few assignments a week, but all super easy. Impromptu speeches are simple and there are 3 major speeches. Lots of freedom in choosing topics and fun assignments. Ronda is so positive and caring, take her!!!!!!

So this class is a hit or miss, she is a very liberal teacher and you can tell. As long as you're on her good side you will do fine. I know that kinda sounds dumb but basically, all you have to do is be nice to her and engage in conversation during class. Don't sit on your phone and ignore her or she will grade you very harshly.

She is amazing! She is so kind and absolutely inspiring. You can tell she loves teaching, and communications is the perfect course for her. She's funny and understanding, classwork is easy. There is no late work, but she is lenient as long as you reach out. I wish I could have taken 2 days of this class instead of one. She always made my day.

I was scared when I started her class, but at the end she is such an easy grader. It is an easy class. Dont get scared by the amount of homework she gives, is honestly pretty easy. It seems like a hard class bc of the amount of instructions and assignments, BUT IT IS NOT, IT IS SO EASY!!!! Just record speeches and do some outlines, EASY GRADER!

Ronda Bailey is one of the greatest professors and teachers I have ever come across. She's one of the few teachers who truly cares about you and will talk to you heart to heart. Her grading is fairly easy and all work is in class, so you have to be in class. If you participate and have a friendly attitude, you will do well!

It was a rough start to the course, but once I was able to speak with Professor Bailey, everything started to go better. She will make sure you finish your work with a good grade no matter how many times you need to redo it. In the beginning it was a little rocky, but I came to realize that she actually cares. I would take her in person rather than online however, there's a difference. The class is easy, but directions can sometimes be unclear, just email her and she will respond pretty quickly.

Super kind and caring prof, even if you struggle with social anxiety simply message her and she will work with you as long as you actually try. Had one issue involving me being uncomfy uploading to a public platform and we were able to work things out. I did poor on that assignment but at least I know what I did wrong LOL. I will always remember this class. Ronda helped me understand why I am in college and that is my purpose, this has is more than just a speech class. Every speech I gave in class taught me a different lesson. Ronda is a very supporting professor, she will help you with your difficulties and help you face your fears.

SHE IS THE BEST!! She is so sweet. I took mixed mode, so I only went in once a week, which was nice. Speeches were down online, so you didn't have to present in front of the class. She does have a very strict late policy, and late work is not accepted AT ALL, but if you keep up with everything and get your work done, it will be an easy A.

Overall this professor is really sweet and she cares. There are 3 big speeches that can definitely HURT your grade if you don't turn them on time. She is a great professor and cares about her students even if you are an online student. Many assignments are to submit a video however are fairly easy and can be completed fairly quickly. She has 2 assignments a week, and will not excuse late grades. Over all she is very nice and a very easy class.

I loved Ronda! I took her class in person in the fall of 2024. I could say, on the first day of school she was preaching that in order to do well in her class, you must have self-love and self-respect! However, the thing that I can say is that she is pretty strict with the attendance policy, only allowing you to be absent for 2 days maximum.

Is a wonderful teacher. She makes taking speech genuinely fun and encourages out of the box methods. For example, one of my speeches in order to gather attention I was allowed to be very vulgar. Many comments mention poor feedback and harsh grading. I've had comments on all my speeches giving feedback and speeches are easy if you follow the rubric.

Loved her! Participate in class or you won't get credit for specific assignments. Literally just try in the class and you'll pass shes not impossible grader but dont abuse her kindness. No late work, no extra credit.

she is amazing and actually reads the students' essays. I had to travel mid-semester and emailed her to open some assigment to do ahead and she did. I had surgery by the end of the semester. I missed an assignment, so she let me submit it and gave me a full grade. i would take her again

modules r a bit messy for me. 3 major speeches. you gotta look for the instructions. stick to the rubric. there r discussions and for online u need pic of yourself. easy overall, there wasn't a crazy workload. she leaves feedback and sticks to her instructions, make sure to follow them. there's no textbook or any mandatory reading. u can work ahead

She is one of the best professors. There are 3 speeches and an impromptu final. She has a clear rubric and is not a strict grader whatsoever. Attendance is for a grade, with 2-3 absences allowed without points off. She says no extensions, but she will if you have a good reason. In person is super easy to get an A in her class.

She is literally so amazing and the best as a speech professor. Shes well aware of social anxiety and anxiety for presenting but she makes it fun. Before speeches she has impromptus were you talk about a small topic for 30secs. She only has 3 "big" speeches but they're not horrible. Shes amazing if this course is required TAKE HER!

This is my first professor who made me write a review here! I loved the learning process. The videos, readings, and advice on how to deliver a speech I will take for my own life. With the encouragement the professor gives us, empowering who we are, we can deliver speeches we never thought we could. YOU MUST TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Assignments are easy, she's an easy grader. google or chat can help outline most things. SHE DOESNT DO LATE WORK. very nice person, but if it's late, you cannot submit it. With certain speech assignments, missing one assignments prohibits submitting others. You miss one deadline, your grade gonna drop. easy grader though, not for procastinators.

She's an amazing teacher; you can really tell she loves what she does. The class is super chill and easy. No homework except outlines for your speeches. She's very understanding, caring, and actually listens to her students. I never felt lost in her class. If you're thinking about taking her, do it. I'm honestly gonna miss this class.

I was kind of nervous to take Professor Bailey's class but she was amazing. There were some moments that I fell behind and she always held me accountable which really helped push me to the finish line for the course.
