Great teacher. She is hard and strict but I think that is helpful. I learned more from Mrs. Tornow than other teachers in English. I will always remember her!

Best teacher EVER!

Before this class I hate reading books. Mrs. Tornow make me realize reading is interesting and I can learn a lot from reading. She is strict, but that made me learn harder.she is a great teacher and I am sad to leave her class!

Like others here say, Mrs. Tornow can be hard but I learn so much from her. She is fair and much helpful and explains things better than many teachers. Her class is interesting, I never miss her class.

I had Mrs. Tornow in level 4 and 5 in the ELC. She was tough and I did not like that. However, after I entered University classes, I realized that her being tough really prepared me for university classes. I had to go back to ELC and thank her for all she did for me. I was better prepared for writing class more than the American students were.

Mrs. Tornow is a great teacher. I miss never her class. I understand her class very good. Other teachers in ELC I do not understand. She is very patient too and always helps me when I need help. I want every class with Mrs. Tornow because I learn so much from her. Her classes are interesting and much fun too!!

This teacher is very good. I like how she uses many different strategies and techniques to teach...not just from the textbook. My writing improved so much due to her knowledge of the subject and my writing score increased greatly on the IELTS test. Thank you Mrs. Tornow

I didn't like that she does not give makup up quizzes or take late assignments, but it was actually good for me. I learned how to do my time better and complete my homework for when it due. She always says us no professor in university takes late homework and .....she was right!

She always takes her time and she makes sure we understand the material before changing topic. She was the best writing teacher. I have another writing teacher now, but I still go to her for help and she is willing to help me even though I am not in her class.

I never thought grammar could be fun. Grammar is my favorite class now. She makes explanations so easy to understand and she is warm, funny and friendly. She stays often after class to help students. Professor Ronnie Tornow is amazing teacher for me. I learned a lot of English skills which I have used until now. Sometimes you felt that she is a hard teacher, but she is not a teacher just for one semester class. I mean she always prepare her lecture, and she try to teach elements for preparing of college life.

She taught best Grammar class I had in ELC. Her style of teaching is interesting, engaging and fun. She helps you to use good grammar for writing class. Class was over at 11:50 but she stayed almost every class til 12:15 because students asked for this. This helped us a lot to learn better and more. Really Ms. Tornow is my favorite teacher in ELC.

Ms. Tornow not just a teacher but a mentor. really she teaches us reading but also how to be a good, successful student. She can be hard, but it is a good hard. She pushes us and will not take bad work, she make us always to do better. She gives us choices in class and that makes the work better for us. I feel good in her class.

I like that Ms. Tornow uses modern ways to teach. For the final we did Podcasts. This was new for me. It was hard but it taught me to work in a group and combine everything that I learned in the semester for one project. She prepares us good for future studying in American Universities. Interesting topics which students need for university. She gave great and interesting presentations for practice note-taking. Professor Tornow taught us Cornell note-taking skills which was useful for studying. I really like her class. I hope I can have her as a teacher again.

She organized lot of activities for us. We met up with the American TU several times , to practice our English . Also we went to the helping up mission in Downtown Baltimore . We learned a lot from this activities .
