Do not take her class. Boring, mudane, ridiculous busy work. This will be one of the worst classes you take. But don't take my word for it... go through hell and back and then write a response! Just dont' take any of her classes.
In my 15 years of schooling, this was the worst teacher I have ever had. The (busy) work is tedious, and mostly irrelevant. Her style is straight out of Dickens' Hard Times. You will leave her course bored, confused and hating school.

This teacher teaches as though she is stuck in 1950! THE WORST TEAHCER IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS NO! IN THE WHOLE 50 STATES! NO! THE ENTIRE WORLD!
The previous posters must have been challenged by the advanced arithmetic in the course, such as (1-.8). I liked her approach and style. She knew her stuff. Great discussions and good interaction with students after and during class and in her office.
I wish I found this site b4 I enrolled in her class. After one whole quarter, I have learned NOTHING about Economics... She is stuck in her own world, though she can help if needed, she talks only about graphs and numbers. Do not take her!!1
Get ready to write the entire class and dont expect interaction. She makes this harder then what it is.

She is the toughest econ teacher in COD! she believes in her own rules. there is no extra credit. her tests are very hard. BUT you will know economics very very very well if you attend her classes and do the work she gives.
All I can say is take her only if you want misery. She is a terribly boring teacher, her tests are tremendously difficult, she does not relate or care for her students, and you will lose 4% of your grade if your cell goes off in class.
She is a horrible teacher. I took her over the summer and her method of teaching is just bad. If you take this class, you will be in a living hell.

Tough but fair, willing to put the effort in if you are. If you are lazy don't bother with her course.
I would rather chew off my own toe than take this woman's class again. I took over 70 pages of notes, read the book, and still could not pass. She gets flustered when questions are asked, does not get the class involved, and is unwilling to assist you.
Simply put this women does not belong in a community college. She is lecturer, and will be difficult to comprehend for most people. Frankly, their are other better professors out there. Try out Fisher.

We rejoiced that she was retiring and the world would never have to endure her teaching again. If you are in her class, DROP it ASAP. I'm an honors student and I went to every class, study group and everything...I still failed. She won't compromise.
She is the hardest, most unclear teacher I have ever had. She never answered questions clearly and all the test and quiz questions were not worded very well. If you have her as a teacher drop the class right away!!!!!!!

SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO RETIRE! GET OUT OF COD YOU DEMON WOMAN! Please, please PLEASE do yourself the favor and drop her class -- even the smartest did not survive in mine. No one got A's or B's...only low C's D's and F's. Mean spirited and rude. She enjoys watching students struggle or something.
I took her class a few years ago and got an A. I tink you guys just arent willing to learn. Keep giving em hell Danielson. YOur class was a cinch.

Worst teacher ever at COD. My friend went to class the same days as me, earned similar points on homework, quizzes & tests. I ended up with a C and she gave my friend a D. When my friend wrote an email to her asking how this is possible, she never replied. Very unprofessional.
This instructor was terrible. I worked my ass off for a B in this course. I don't think that anyone got an A in the class that I took. I would never recommend taking her classes.
If your reading this just do yourself a favor and dont take this class, I wish I had a warning system like this, it would've saved me so much time, energy, money and not hate econ.
Great teacher! Gets rid of the goofs and morons quickly so the serious students can learn. I love he style and willingness to incorporate current events. If you want to learn, take her. If you are stupid and have trouble with high school level arithmetic, take Dorsey.

I broke my leg and the lady would still not excuse my absenses or let me take a make up test regardless of a doctors note. She needs to retire and stop teaching. Teaching means to care for students and educate them. Worst teacher ever and not understanding.
do not take professor danielson's class. i took her class my freshman year and almost didn't pass. she doesn't explain anything during class. if u go to her office with a question, she doesn't answer it thoroughly. almost everyone in my class was confused during her lectures because she doesn't explain anything. she just talks thru the whole class.
please don't take this class it's drive you crazy. She's the most boring teacher in the world.

What can I say--she is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. Ever. Unless you like poor quality instruction, 4-5 hrs of homework per week, and questions on the test about unimportant statistics (ones that were not covered in class), do no take her classes. Really! Just turn and run like the other guy said!!
I had signed up for this class before reading her reviews. I heard that she was an awful teacher and everyone said to drop it. Well I should have taken their advice!! When people were confused or question something she became all offensive and would argue with them. I would strongly recommend not taking econ with her..

For the love of God if you see this RUN! I'm an A student and I'll be lucky if I get a C coming out of her class. It's absolutely awful! She has no clue how to teach and besides that when she explains things I have no idea what she's talking about. The class started out with 35 students and we're down to 7, does that tell you something?
I had her as a teacher in the Spring 2006 Semester.She is a terrible teacher for building foundation on a subject matter,she'd be better in a masters program.I used to tape her lectures and I promise you what she said in the beginning of the hour will be totally opposite of what she says at the end of the class.she never gives a straight answer

A nice person, but teaches Economics as if you already know it. Tests require skill that you can't learn from the material. If you want a three hour class that feels like ten hours, here's the class for you. Stock up on snacks from the vending machine, you'll need them!
Not an easy professor, but not as hard as she's made out to be for micro econ. The course was difficult but doable. I got a C.
I have her for macro. Wish I new about this site before I signed up for class. She is a Horrible Horrible teacher. I'm a straight A student who is trying my hardest just to hang on to a B. She very unhelpful, mean, stuck up.
she seriosuly sucked, she acted like we were all economists and the tests were all applied information from the million power point slides that she doesnt print off for us and the book which is too long and boring to read. she is boring and a ****y grandma, dont take her
She is horrible and boring. I tryed my hardest and got a C. I think about 1/3 of my class failed or dropped out. She put me to sleep everyday and all she does is lecture from a powerpoint everyday. She is also a very unfair grader. 3 people with the same answers all got different grades. Her test questions are also very vague and unclear.

She was by far the worst teacher I have ever had. One time she covered the board with her pig latin graphs only to find out she used a permanent marker. It was great...probably the best day of class.
Just do the work and youll understand! The questions on tests come straight from the book and MyEconLab so it's pretty predictable... just study! She spends a lot of time explaining how to do the graphing because the book doesn't describe it too well. She's different but you can't just dwell on first impressions, it's your grade not hers!
My first introduction to Economics at Illinois State; she was a great instructor, and I still remember her many lessons years later.
I took this teacher in the summer, TERRIBLE CHOICE. This teacher NEVER makes eyecontact, i think she might have some sorta eye bug. Anyways she didn't understand anything about the class and therefore couldn't explain it, one time she snapped at me for leaving for the restroom. She also singles kids out.

Let me tell you about myecon labs. wow. Up to 3 tries, takes highest score. But some can take up to 3 hours if you do 1 in 1 hour. her teaching is horrible. tests were very hard, just save your $400 and take a different professor. Because of her and her poor ethics i have to take this class again. wow. Final is last couple of chapters we cover.
even in a condensed summer class, the material is easy to get through. the book is incredable and myeconlab is nothing but helpful, and most questions tothe exams come out of there. some low grades even get dropped. very well rounded class, and i think she does a great job.
It is unbelievable how terrible of a teacher this lady actually is. Half the time there would only be 3 other kids in the class with me because everyone else was smart enough to drop. I would rather have a terrible addiction to something really harmful than ever have to take that class again. She also wears clothes that revel her undergarments.

I had her back in 2000 and still remember her as being the worst teacher I have ever had in my life (EVER-grade, middle, high school). I took this as a requirement, but she taught it as if I had already had 4 years of it. She seemed to speak another language. She will NEVER be forgotten
at first she was hard to get used to, but I really like her. she has her own system (HW, QUIZ online after every chapter and then a test over 3-4 chapters in class)and she is good about posting the assignments online, so even if u miss a class, u can always go online and check your assignment. I will definatly take her for my MICRO class. :)
I took micro with this teacher. If you get this teacher there is only on thing to do. Buy yourself a gun, make sure you load the gun, then seriously shoot yourself. She won't talk about any problems you have during class you have to do it before or after. All she does is draw graphs, she should be an art teacher. And no cell phones in her class.

At first I thought she was fine, but I asked her to go over a homework assignment and she responded with, "I can't tell you what is right or wrong." Well it's a homework assignment not a test. Therefore I think she is a poor excuse for an educator.

DONT EVER TAKE CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER! Worst teacher that you can get. She doesn't care about anything. All she does during the class is shows us the graphs on the board and doesn't even explain them well enough! Don't even think about extra help if you need it because you wont get it from her. Well the person before me must have been in the same class. This prof is useless, she is not willing to help. here writing on the board which is needed to know what is going on is impossible to read. Half of the class dropped. I am affraid i did not pass the class. WISH ME LUCK, with this lady, it is needed!
Like what everybody else has said not a good teacher, expressionless and talks about WATERBOTTLES the whole class, unorganized, she wants you to fail, has trouble with technology, it is sometimes really funny, all in all dont take her
txtbook is clear as sh*t. the way she grade is pretty straightforward, that is, she sticks to what the syllabus says. She goes right to the point, and drops quizzes and hw's. U dont even need her, just read the book. I took macro with her n im taking micro with her. Idk what everyone is ****ing about, this is not freaking high school
This woman is creepy and useless. God knows what institution gave her credentials to teach but they made a mistake. She WILL regurgitate the book onto you all semester, word for word, she WILL NOT be able to answer one question in a comprehensible way the entire semester. Its like your not even speaking to her she just doesn't get it.
She treats the class like they are children. No bathroom breaks and No one can be late, ever. We have Jobs and Priorities above school(community college students) and dont deserve to be patronized and belittled. She cant answer clarity questions and has a terrible teaching method(book fact regurgitation). She needs to retire.
by far the worst teach i have ever had. I have a 4.0 at COD and been there for a year and a half. I might not even get a C in this class. she makes you feel miserable and regret taking the class. 5 more weeks of hell with her than i'm done
Just pick a different teacher. Its not worth trying to succeed in her class, it can be done, but you need a sincere interest and understanding in economics to do so, its not a good environment to learn something new in. God forbid you take her 4 hour night class, bring something else to do in there, unless you like monotone lectures.
Straight-forward grading though you should keep track for yourself because she screws up a lot when adding your final grade. Wont answer questions during the test. Homework is awful and almost impossible to get full credit on though you can argue with ehr to get points back. Reads right out of the book and doesn't give any real world examples. BAD.
Very difficult at first but you start getting a feel for what she looks for. Everything based on accuracy, even homework. Read book before lecture and after lecture and all the material will be crystal clear. Everything is in the book. She also gives a lot of extra credit at the end. Tough but fair. Its doable
If you can, find an easier professor. She's very strict and makes no exceptions to her rules and policies. Glad to have pulled off a C in this class, even though I put a lot of time and effort into it.

She's terrible. Her notes don't make sense. She does not post grades on blackboard, you have to keep track yourself. Her test are very difficult. She actually lowered the grading scale because less than the class had a passing grade. She DOES NOT allow cell phones in class. You need to turn it off or set it on her desk, or receive a 0 for the day!

Wouldn't call this an easy class. You have to work. I am getting an A so far, but I work very hard and pay attention. Read the book. Pay attention in class (It's hard because she is low-energy and has a monotone voice and kind of mumbles sometimes).No cell phones in class. She doesn't answer questions the best. Would I take her again, No.
She is tough, no doubt about that. Exams r all multiple choice but still theyre hard. gotta read book b4 n after lecture. she's helpful if u go to her office hours. gives bunch of extra credit. over all u gotta work ur butt off to walk out wid a good grade. no cellphone n no getting outta ur seat once the class starts. doesnt take attendance
Horrible teacher, only reads out of them book but jumbles her information, completely monotone, you wont learn anything from her. The only way to pass is teach yourself out of the book and she's a very strict grader. Her homework is immensely complicated and she doesn't offer help or advice. Basically laughs at students when they ask questions
Not a good teacher. Doesn't allow anything in her class (Cell phones, restroom, etc) and she is extremely boring to listen to. Material covered is not that hard but she some how makes it a difficult class. Not approachable in the slightest.
Not good at all. Lectures are super dull. She will throw you out of class if you use your phone or laptop. I guess if you study in groups you can get an A. Wish I did that.
