Her class is super easy and fun. She is very friendly and nice. I recommend this class to anyone. You learn a lot. Easy A! One thing I don't like about her class is her "magic cards" where is randomly calls your name.

Rosy is an excellent teacher who really wants her students to do well. She keeps her class very interesting and is always willing to take the extra time to help you outside of class if you need it. I'm really looking forward to taking her for Span 2.

i read all these reviews before taking her class last spring. Without doubt, every review is accurate at one point or another during this past semester. I've seen the kind rosy and the acerbic rosy.Overall, she grades fair, teaches well, and is really sweet. If you put out a lil time & effort you will pass. Best advice: take credit/no credit option

Rosie was our onsite coordinator for the sudy abroad program in Cuernavaca. She was great. Everything you could ask for. She resolved all problems and made the experience much more educational and enjoyable. Her only weakness is her poor sense of direction. Otherwise she is pretty close to perfect.

Rosy is an excellant professor she is always ready to give extra help when needed and she definately keeps things moving in class. Attendance and tarea are very important in this class! It helps if you are warmed up before comming to class. She grades fair and does a great job at preparing students for exams, she will drop u 4 absences!

She does NOT play favorites to the native speakers or anyone else (I'm not a native speaker). She wants you to learn and insiststs that EVERY student participate, so don't expect to sit in the corner and be left alone. She is the picture of professionalism... I'm so glad I took 101 with Rosy, I learned so much in such a short period of time! Like the other people have said you're going to have to work for your grade, but the classes are always fun and she grades fairly. I don't think she plays favorites at all. I always felt like she enjoyed incorporating everyone into the class.

I took her class @ SD City. She is a great professor & does her best 4 her students to understand Spanish. She is hard @ X's but doesn't mind answering questions. The bad part is that I took it in the summer & 50% of the class already had knowledge of the Span language. I wish I could of taken her class during a regular semester. Also Shes Hot!!!

I Love professor Sandoval she is the best teacher in the world. Her class is extremly fun and she is funny. You will learn so much as long as you put 100% into the class. She offers plenty of extra credit, there is no reason why anyone could not recieve an A or B. It is not an easy A but I would definantely recommend her to anyone!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best teachers that i've ever had in my whole education history. She's so nice to everybody and tries to help everybody understand whats going on in class. Im usually the quiet type that never participates but it was the opposite for this class. Its somewhat demanding but its DO-able. One of her pet peeves is people texting during class so dont do it. Other than that, if you dont get on her bad side shes a GREAT professor. I did good on all the tests and quizzes but the 2nd part of the FINAL was HARD.

I took 101 & 102 with Mrs. Rosie she is the best, enjoyable class very helpful just come to class and try and she will work with you if you need help, do the homework, pay attention, practice and do the oral report no matter how bad you think your Spanish is. I took Rosy for Spanish 101 and 201. She's one of the best teachers I have ever had. She's welcoming, funny, and very helpful. She does give you a lot of work, but you don't even realize it because the class is so much fun. Everyday she greets you with a big "HOLAAAA!" I will really miss this class.

Rosy was one of my favorite professors! I liked her enthusiasm, it made me want to try my best in the class. There were many Spanish speakers in my class but I didn't feel she gave them special treatment. She really wants everyone to succeed and practice. I generally had a lot of fun. And as someone who took a few Spanish courses in junior high but was otherwise novice I didn't have trouble with the course. Use flashcards and ask questions!! Rosy doesn't bite!

Don't think twice about it, just take Rosie. She is the absolute best Spanish professor at City. Enthusiastic, funny, organized, helpful, and knowledgable. I learned more in her class than in any other, even the higher level courses. If you actually want to learn the language, take her. Though her "magic cards" are nervewracking!

GREAT professor! I am a nonSpanish speaker and I passed with an A. She is SO helpful and makes sure that you understand before you move on. I never had to get additional help from her office hours or tutors because all I did was pay attention and take notes. I did all Her practice worksheets ad memorized what I was told to memorize. It is extremely easy, even for non Spanish speakers if you just pay attention! I love her!! She is just so nice and patient! Thank you rosy for a woderful semester

Speaking out loud in Spanish gives me extreme nausea/anxiety. For the 1st time I had a clue what was going on in spanish class! I've had 4 spanish teachers at city (I dropped Estrada :[ ). Professor Rosy is one of the best professors at City College. She's passionate and always energetic! You do get a lot of worksheet packets throughout the class period but it doesn't even feel like you're doing work,its enjoyable! A LOT of working in groups, so you'll feel more at ease since you're learning a new language along with your classmates

If you take Sandoval, expect to participate because it really counts in this class. Come to class on time and you'll succeed in class. Constantly remember your notes because you have to remember the spelling and the orthography of words. You will have to do a group presentation about a Latin American country, so you will do research.

The best professor I've ever had. I wish all professors at SDCC were like her. Her lectures are very engaging. Expect to participate. She gives lecture packets to practice on which helps a lot. The online homeworks are time consuming but are essential in learning. She explains each lecture thoroughly and reviews before a test. Highly recommend.

Rosy is very funny and the 2 hour class flies by. She won't take your sh*t though. She'll take cell phones away & move seats if she see's you aren't paying attention or talking too much. A LOT of group work & she doesn't like when students always choose the same friends to work with. One oral presentation. MUST DO HOMEWORK TO PASS. I learned a lot.

Greatley prepares lectures to ease any tricky concept like verb conjugations in the subjunctive and indicative tense. Energetic! An Oral presentation. Check Vistas Supersite often for hw and grades. Great teacher, really concerned about you learning not just passing by the course. She listens and trust to accommodate everyone, keeps you alert and interested in class. You learn more from her natural teaching skills than professors following book step by step. She very approachable and clearly enjoys her job, and dresses nice :-)

Prof. Rosy loves to teach, but she's fast paced and energetic so if you're a beginner you need to remind her to slow down sometimes. The material can be very challenging for those who don't know any Spanish at all, so pay close attention. It's easy to lose focus in a foreign language class. Mrs. Sandoval grabs your attention (!Ojoooooo!) If you put in the effort there is not reason why you shouldn't do well in this course. Rosy is a very good teacher I took her hybrid class during the spring. all the HW & test are through Vistas & we had one powerpoint presentation that needed to be posted on youtube. Its an easy class for a Spanish speaker & explains very throughly to the non Spanish speakers. Sometimes she does not communicate what she wants so ask questions!
