Mrs. Wright is a very good teacher, she explians the assignments very clearly. I like Mrs. Wright because she wants to see her students make it in life. she expects positive things from her students.

She is the greatest teacher ever. She is very helpful, she is more than a teacher, she is a friend.
good teacher. is very understanding that learning a language can be hard. gets repetitive at times, but overall a very good teacher. goes the extra mile to help her students in any way she can. has clear expectations.
Good teacher. Take her for your spanish classes. Much easier than my first spanish teacher (Bayless). She cares. She tells you clearly what is expected of you and is ready to help if you have questions, even though she would rather you go to tutoring.
A great instructor who's devoted to helping her students. Her classes can be challenging, and she expects you to devote some time outside class, but she's always more than willing to help if you need it. If you plan on taking spanish then by all means take her, but be prepared to learn.
She was great! She is native speaker but that doesn't lead her to assume that her language is easy. She is VERY helpful and has a wonderful personality. Always cheerfull and loves to see students learning. Definatley take with her!
She is a wonderful teacher but overly concerned with stereotypes. She like to talk but always has something interesting to say. Good natured and very warm teacher. I'd recommend her to anyone
she may be a good teacher when it comes to 1120 and 1121 but she has no clue how to teach 2200. She is so lazy. I do not recommend taking 2200 at TCC since she is the only one who teaches it.
I LOVE DR. WRIGHT! She is a very caring teacher, she is concerned about her students and loves to teach. She is also sympathetic about the fact that learning a second language is hard. If you do the work and are still having problems go to her, she will help you. By the way, I took her in a 6 week course (HARD) I got an A!
Words cannot express how wonderful she is.
shes great
I never will forget Dr. Wright! On the date of my final, I had trouble with my car, I made it to the final late. She showed so much compassion towards me because I was concerned about my car, unable to concentrate, etc. She helped me a whole lot and I still got an A.
Dr Wright is the most caring teacher you can ask for. Some students do not appeciate her. I love her style of teaching. Take her For a fun and interesting experiance.
she talks to much sometimes and we never have time to finish much. although she is a wonderful person and sweet but at the end of the semster i feel that have learned nothing.
Dr Wright is he best. For all that have any doubts take her she is very understanding and nurturing. She really wants you to learn as much as you can.
Dr. Wright is the sweetest lady. She is very understanding of people that struggle with foreign language, but she will expect you to go to the lab and study on your own. She's very nice, goes off on tangents pretty regularly, but if you try, you can definitely make an A.
shes great
Professor Wright is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She has incredible enthusiasm and energy for the subject. Not only do you learn the grammar and vocabularly, but she also gives you a feel for the culture of all the different spanish speaking countries.
Don't listen to the people who say she's a terrible teacher. These are the retards who sit in the back of the class talking all day and can't figure out wy they don't pass. It's a foreign language so you're not going to learn everything in the class. She talks sbout Cuba and other Hispanic countries to spark interest in learning the language.
study hard and the tests and quizes will be easy.
She is great and teaches very well. You should totally take this class. I loved it and it was amazing. She is really nice and helpful.
Dr. Wright is a great teacher. She engages the students, she is funny, and teaches the language in a way that is easy to understand. I learned a lot and it has ended up being one of my favorite classes at TCC.
She is very nice, helpful, and all around a great teacher.
She is a great teacher and a very nice lady. They should clone her so she can teach other classes. She's always super busy but tries to make time for her students. I'm glad that I took her and I wish I could take her again for Spanish II, but my schedule won't allow it. The group project was painful, but then again, aren't they all?
Dr. Wright is a excellent teacher! She makes spanish interesting and fun. I passed the class with a B. You just have to go to class everyday and stay on top of the work and you'll be fine.
Best advice - dont take a math and a language class at the same time! Dr. Wright is great, she has a gift for making you think you understand spanish before you really do. But, lots of work..workbook,labbook,textbook,website work. If you work for it, you CAN get an A! My final exam was a trainwreck,i thought maybe a 65, and i still got an A!!
Dr. Wright is a very disorganized and nice teacher. You learn more about Cuba than about Spanish. The class is extremely easy, but you go away thinking that you can't switch to another teacher because they will expect more spanish than you know. But if you want a easy A and don't care about learning spanish take her. Good help with pronunication th
I never wanted to take spanish and only did because of the transfer requirement. But I am so thankful that I used this site and took Dr. Wright. She has been wonderful! I am now in SPN1121and planning on going to spain. She can be a little disorganized but she really is a great teacher who works hard to make very dry material enjoyable for us!
Dr. Wright is the best Spanish Professor I have ever encountered. This class is a lot of work and can be very dull but she works very hard to make it fun and interesting. She talks about her life in Cuba a lot but it is very sweet and heartbreaking. Take Her!!
Dr. Wright is a very thoughtful, helpful, and professional teacher. She emphasizes learning correct pronunciation and encourages student participation in class. Her sweet disposition makes everyone seem to feel comfortable and included. To do well it's important to visit the lab, study vocab for quizzes, and attend class.
Dr. Wright is my favorite professor at TCC because of her professionalism and helpfulness. She explained the difficult grammar concepts of Spanish to me with as much clarity as possible, and she loves to help and guide students who are willing to keep up with the material. She grades fairly, and she's very thoughtful. I highly recommend her!
Mrs. Wright is a great teacher. She is very passionate about the conflict in Cuba. This class has a structure that is meant to be followed. Go to class, attend lab, complete your workbook and lab manuel, and do the cultural projects and you should have no problem getting an A or B.
easy A
I am a very visual learner and her class was very hard for me. She tends to say everything without presenting examples on the board. Dr. Wright will talk and talk and talk about Cuba, her former home, but spend 5 minutes on an important grammar point that you're tested on the next day. Only take her class if you are confident in your spanish skills
She brings a lot of interesting cultural aspect to her class which help make what could be really boring grammar much more tolerable. She is also very concerned for the welfare of her students and goes out of her way to help those that are having difficulties.
If you are looking for a really great class, Dr. Wright's class was a lot of fun. I learned a lot, laughed a lot, and really like Dr. Wright. She is very willing to help if you ever need it. Spanish was difficult for me in high school, but Dr. Wright made it enjoyable and doable! One of my favorite teachers ever!
Dr. wright is a sweet lady, but i would not tell a friend to take this class with her. she talks alot about her life and you have to teach your self the time goes by real quick and we barely get any work done, so if you have the upper hand in spanish then yes take her!
She likes to hear herself talk. she teaches sitting down and doesn't write anything on the board. you have to study the textbook on your own. She talks about cuba a whole lot and gets easily off topic. the class was scared to ask her questions just because it would take 10 mins to answer a simple question. her voice in lab is annoying!
She is my favorite prof. I have ever had. She makes Spanish enjoyable. Some people say that you have to study a lot to do well and that is true but you would have to do that with any prof. YOUR LEARNING A LANGUAGE!!! not an easy task. Bottom line, she is awsome, take her class. I took her for 1120, and 1121.
i LOVE HER. SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER. SHE DOES RELATE ALOT OF THE TOPICS TO HER PAST EXPERIENCES BUT THAT IS IN ORDER TO MAKE TOPICS CLEARIER. GO TO CLASS,STUDY,GO TO LAB AND YOU SHOULD DO WELL.I AM KINGHR NEXT SEMESTER FOR 1121.SHE HAS ALOT OF HEALTH ISSUES SO SHE WAS OUT ALOT BUT WE HAD SUBS THAT WERE FROM THE SPANISH LAB.THEY WERE ALL GREAT.YES
Wonderful, very kind teacher. Most everyone in the class knew very little spanish but she makes it very clear and simple. You have lots of in class quizes so she can drop your low scores. The final is an oral which you practice for all semester. Buy the book/work books!! I would suggest taking her class.
Very easy class but I never took it seriously. Every assignment she assigned she either forgot about it or let you turn it in later. It's 4 days a week and 1 day is a lab plus you have to go to the independent lab for an hour on your own time every week. It's a joke. If you don't know spanish already like I did, I don't think you'll learn anything.
I love Dr. Wright! She is extremely nice and also very clear when it comes to teaching the material. The times she was out we had other Spanish teachers from the school and they were not as good. She is the best and also speaks both languages fluent whereas other Spanish teachers don't speak English as well. Take her and you will learn.
GREAT teacher. She is the foreign language chair person also. The class is fairly easy with three tests and an oral final. Same lab/workbook as SPN1120. She is very sweet and if you go to class and participate you will do just fine!
class was easy did not apply myself as i should but the thing that irritated me she was not clear on what she wanted on cultural ass. & quizzes given 2 wks b4 exam also she DOESNT communicate well (online class)
She is such a wonderful teacher! Very willing to work with you and wants you to succeed! She is extremely sweet and made the class enjoyable for me! She gives free quizzes sometimes, and lets you make up homework if need be! Honestly take her if you are planning on taking a foreign language
Easy A - with no actual learning. It's actually surprising that she's the head of Foreign Languages.
Dr. Wright is a fabulous teacher! She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The only problem I had in class was there were a few disrespectful students who didn't pay attention and whined when they didn't understand something. Too many students expect to be babied and it drives me crazy. It wasn't the easiest class, but not the hardest either.
I love her! She is a great teacher and very understanding. All I can say is that she truely blessed me. I took this class online and I did not apply myself the best that I could, but she still blessed me!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
She is a really nice lady but I didn't enjoy her teaching style. She pretty much just read out of the book. She is latina so I think that is helpful in her class but other than that I didn't really learn anything. I want to be fluent in Spanish but taking her class has made me want to take a break. I won't be taking her again.
I loved this teacher she was very helpful. Even though she hardly came to class I would recommend taking her again for Spanish a third term.
She is very laid back, but is so mixed up. She cannot keep her stuff together. 14 of the way through the semester she told us not to worry about homework because she was behind. Didn't tell us about a cultural project until like the week before, and then was very vague.
She is a very sweet lady, but as a teacher she wasn't my favorite. She is not very organized. We never really knew what we was post to be doing until the day before it was due. I got an A in the class, but I stressed myself to the max. Also wasn't really sure if I learned everything I was post to.
She is a very sweet person but she isn't a good teacher. Dr. Wright is extremely unorganized. Don't even bother following the syllabus. She isn't a touch grader but you do need to study for all three exams, especially the final which is an oral. Do the independent lab work for each chapter during the time you learn it in class so you don't forget.
I loved Dr. Wright. She definitely helped make the connection between the textbook and actual conversational skills, which was what I was looking for. She wants her students to participate even if they don't know it well. The only thing that was a little frustrating was that she never posted grades. I would take her again though.
Dr. Wright has a hard time with communication. She will not reply to emails, but will post on Canvas and not reply to comment. Basically tells you what book to get and lets you figure out the rest. You will have to teach yourself. She gives you no notes or lectures. She will extend deadlines because students are confused about what is going on.
Mrs. Rosalinda was amazing! I got an easy A in this class and her tests are very easy. She's a bit unorganized but that works out in the students' favor. I would most definitely take her again.
Wonderful teacher, i loved everything about her. She really cares about her students. Sometimes she may get a little off topic, but she was great. I made an A in this class without doing any online work. i RARELY passed the quizzes too, but i passed every big test which were SUPER easy . Take her you will not regret it.
Whatever you do, do not take her online class. I think she forgets about them. She won't respond to her email ever, update homework or grades, or even gets our tests in at the testing center on time. Easy A? Sure. But such an easy A you'll get annoyed, coming from someone who is all about C's making degrees.
Not knowing any Spanish, took this class online, and passed with a B. She responded to my emails in a timely manner. Only down fall was not enough time to complete the quiz, because of the amount of lengthy questions. I still passed and if my time wouldn't have expired, I think I would've made an A.
Mrs. Wright is a sweet teacher and really wants her students to do well. I felt this class wasn't as challenging as I expected, but for the most part I learned a good amount of vocab and grammar. She is very willing to go the extra mile to help and be there for her students. This was always a fun class to attend.
Dr. Wright is a wonderful professor. She is conscientious and knowledgeable. She is also very willing to put in the extra hours to help with questions and concerns. She made what could have been a boring class entertaining and enjoyable. Dont miss the lectures. Thats where I learned the most.
Very unorganized. Did not follow syllabus. Quizzes and assignments due without much notice. Basically a self-taught class. Would not take this professor ever again.
Very sweet lady, but doesn't use class time wisely. She gets lost on correcting the book, political issues, and memories. I like interactive profs, but I felt like my time was wasted. She didn't explain or use the whiteboards, but expected us to know about the chapter and be ready for quizzes that were usually the next day. Wouldn't take again!
Great teacher! Very sweet and knowlegable. Very willing to work with her students and help you. Highly recommend.
She spends the first 30 minutes of class every day ranting. She reads straight from the textbook, sits at her desk while teaching, does not use any visual aids, and she refused to write on the board. She issues four connect assignments a week. All instructions and questions on homework, test, and quiz are in fluent Spanish (no English)
She started out rough, as in scattered, but over all not a bad teacher. Be prepared to do a lot of homework. Nice thing is tests are all multiple choice and mostly based off recognition. She is a bit scattered, but she cares about students and their success. Technology seems to be her enemy, and that seems to be what creates the most problems.
She is nice enough but extremely scatterbrained and unorganized. Tests and assignments are never up when they are supposed to be and due dates are all over the place. Tons of assignments but apparently some are optional - but she has never been very clear about which of them are optional even when directly asked. I would advise taking someone else.
took her class online for summer. she is easy if you are not lazy! a bit unorganized but if you are not stupid you will figure it out. she does give homework not little but not too much and she gives enough of time to complete it. the homework is all on connect and the homework is actually easy!!! ive been chilling with her, thank me later.
I took this class online. Assignments are given a load at a time with a short time span to complete each assignment. Due dates are incorrect in the grade book and the student is to some how imagine a due date. Expect to have 8 to 9 assignments due on the same day of an exam. Their is no window given for the student to learn and grasp information.
This was one of the most un organized classes I've ever been in. I left class each day confused and feeling like I didn't learn much. I defiantly would recommend taking someone else unless you want to basically teach yourself. She does drop the lowest test and offers extra credit which is nice.
The most disorganized person I've ever met, which also affected my ability to prepare for my other courses: how does this Prof. have such a high rating? She was supposed to teach us Spanish, but did not teach us anything worth marks - just ranted constantly about Latin politics. If I was a foreign language major, I would report her to the Dean.
Only puts a few assignments on canvas at a time. Nothing seems to be sent out with the correct due date, there is discrepancys between canvas, the online book, and her Emails. Day before last day of class she is telling us over half of the assignments I have done will not count towards my grade and the canvas grade is not our actual grade.
She is very scattered. Does not answer emails. She does and does not let you know when she opens up new homework. 1 culture project. oral exam. the book is online.
It's sad when your students create a discussion board to get more info about assignments because the Professor is not clear about what she wants on the assignments and does not respond to any of her emails. She is VERY unorganized, seemed like she had a lot on her plate. A lot of assignments, but be ready to teach yourself a lot of homework.
The teacher never responds to any emails sent to her or chats via canvas. This class is a self learning class because if you ask for help or have questions about something she doesn't reach back out to you to help. I manage to pass self teaching myself and contacting other students in the class for help via chat or discussion boards created by us.
Dr. Wright is a wonderful professor. Ive had a few semesters with her. Spanish is definitely better in person and online is difficult in nature. She gave out her number to students that needed Extra help like myself and spent hours helping me with what I didnt understand because it was online. She really cares about her students and their success
The Doctor helped me with English. While teaching me Spanish too.
Very sweet and nice teacher. She is quick to get back to emails and explains any questions you have. She also works with you on any situation you might have with your schedule and really invest time in her students. Highly recommend.
Dr. Wright is one of my favorite people, she is just so sweet and caring. I loved her class and she has given me so much knowledge and even most respect for the Spanish language and lots of Spanish culture. Her story is inspirational, and learning from her was a blessing.
She's a sweet lady but the only thing she does is sit in her chair and read out of the book. Also she did not grade our final paper or exam and most of us struggled with it just for her not to grade them VERY UPSETTING.
She's a sweet lady, truly. Her teaching style consists of sitting in her chair and reading directly from the textbook. I struggled to grasp concepts without a more in depth conversation about it, and she was very often too scattered to provide that. I respect her, but feel that for visual learners and those with questions she might be a struggle.
The class itself was fine however, she would assign loads of homework all due on the same day. If she would have spaced it out, it would be better. Also gives out work with late notice.
She will open assignments up for you if need would take he class again.
Professor Wright was absolutely amazing. She's one of the most caring and genuine professors I have ever had. She tries her hardest to help you succeed. You do have to attend class if you want to do well. She explains the material very well and I will take her again in the future.
This class was a challenge for me. There was not a lot of explaining about the course due to Mcgraw acting up. It made it hard to get my homework done. I would suggest buying the book for the class to follow along.
