she did not know anything. if you asked her a question she never knew the answer, whether it related to psy in gen or to assignments. she was confusing, boring and has attidude problems. she went to harvard/yale and wasted time/money. if you take the class you will be too. i got a B. TAKE NOVAK!!!!

I never had any idea what was going on. She bored me to tears. You can however to easy projects instead of tests and get an A.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. King as my teacher. (my whole class agrees) She barely teaches doesn't explain things great and is very impatient. She only seems to like the people who get involved with the psychology fair and all the other psychology related stuff outside of class.....My advice..don't take it with her!!!

I think I changed my major out of psych. because of her. She is the DEFINITION of painful boredom! I think only the little geeky do-gooders like her and probably vice versa.

she is probably one of the WORST professors i have ever had. the class is easy, but she's extremely rude. when you ask her questions, she answers in a very sarcastic, "know it all," i can't believe you don't know the answer to that question kind of remark. teachers are suposed to TEACH. she, on the other hand, thinks she's better than everyone.

She is the worst teacher ever. She is very knowledgable in psychology but as far as teaching goes, she sucks. If you ask her a question, she just makes you feel dumb or tells you to look it up. However, it's very easy to get an A. Just do the portfolio and you are set. You wont learn anything though. Her website can also be extrememly confusing.

I almost changed my major because of her. She is very condescending and rude when you ask her questions. She picks favorites and frowns at everyone else. She mentions many times that she went to Harvard and Oxford, giving the image of being better than everyone else. Always "too busy" to answer questions or give feedback on papers. Horrible Teacher

Very hard teacher, if she doesn't like you from the start, good luck. I do not recommend this teacher at all. She assigns horrible assignments and her portfolios are ridiculous. If you like lots of work and projects, then shes the Psych teacher for you. I used to want to major in Psych until I took her class. She will not hesitate to fail you!

I can't believe that she is a teacher. She doesn't teach anything. Nothing that comes out of her mouth is clear. Used the whole class to layout structure of research which shouldn't be done in under 3 months the book says, we got 3 weeks to do it. she's away from class 20-40 minutes at a time copying papers that we never used or weren't accurate in the class. always makes excuses, rude, unprofessional; unstructured class. it's not personal, she's just awful

Very concerned about this teachers philosophy and background. Doesn't make eye contact - very absorbed in Parapsychology and out-of-this-world issues. Referenced the bible several times - found her to be offensive and rude - I almost walked out of the class - definately caters to those who are also self-abosorbed in the spirtworld.

Absolute waste of time and money. Dr. King uses the entire class to talk without actually teaching, usually about her own life and experiences. She rudely will interrupt students giving presentations to add in her own two-cents. Most of the time outside of class will be spent teaching yourself the material crammed during the lecture.

She really knows her stuff, youll learn a lot. Do the extra credit. If your not good in tests just do the portfolios, and psych fair and don?t approach her, shes rude. If you just worry about the 4 assignments and extra credit your golden

Ive looked at this sit& saw how many people complained, so I took her 202 last semester, she is horrible! Kids in my class would ask her questions, if they weren't "on her train" she would ignore you. I tried her again for 231 and I am truly upset I have her. I work extremely hard to get and A, seriously, my major is psychology.

Dr.King will not give any of her students specific directions as to what she wants done. She expects Doctoral work from her students and is not afraid to admit it. If things are not done her way she will belittle you. Her work load is outrageous. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. King never tells you your grades, doesn't have blackboard, and tells you to post things to a Web board that hardly ever works. Do not take this class with her, I have learned nothing and became very uninterested in the subject after learning it from her. Take a different professor!

smart lady-A LOT of extra credit work-online exams were easy b/c it was at home. BUT she assigned 2 due dates for the final project, i chose the early due date & she did not give us a reminder whatsoever.she expected us to rely on the"class schedule"but the group of people who chose the later date got tons of reminders.outdated website&DISORGANIZED

This is the worst class I have ever taken. Nothing is clear, not even the grading policy. She simply shows videos and presentation slides taken from elsewhere. She think that having taught at multiple colleges through her career is a thing to be respected. Truth be told, I don't think she'll be at this college for much longer. Do not take her class

i took this class this semester and it was horrible. i had to drop it after only attending 3 classes. she was very unclear about assignments and was not helpful at all. i would email to ask a question and she just re-state what was in the syllabus. not helpful, i can read. unless you like to not know whats going on in class, i would not recommend

Dr. King is a not a very good teacher. If you are trying to learn about psychology she is not the one to take it with. She talks about things that don't pertain to psychology and can sometimes be untrue.

If you signed up for her class, change your schedule ASAP. She LOVES to hear her own voice, to assign things without explaining them, and to get mad at you for asking an honest question. There's a project like every week on top of assignments and reading. Thank god I did the extra credit-which I thought was the homework due to poor communication.

Don't take this class. Communication is absent and if you ask a question she will just send you to her horrifically formatted website. You have to spend over a hundred dollars for an online module program, and she doesn't actually teach you anything. Everything I've learned this semester is had to teach myself through tedious module exercises.

Professor King did not actually teach us anything. She expected us to already know the information and assigned projects so we taught the class the content. She was never clear about assignments and her requirements. She is rude and made students feel stupid about asking questions and gets mad when we take guesses about what she asks.

Never gave extra credit that she promise to give. I beg you do not take her course.....

This professor is difficult emotionally, not academically. She holds very strong, outdated opinions. She was teaching the course through opinion and personal stories more than research or academic text and resources. In class lectures were extremely awkward because few people were willing to speak up against her judgements and personal opinion.

She makes her class about her, talks about her own opinions, brags about herself, makes it impossible for anyone to feel like they can speak up. Made my class buy/rent 4 books to read a chapter, had us buy an $100 portal because she dislikes our schools portal, she doesn't even teach the correct course material! I wish I could negatively rate her.

She is by far the worst professor I've ever had; she goes on tangents that have nothing to do with the class information. Everything she talks about is her own opinion. I bought almost every book she said was a requirement and only had to read one chapter of one book. She posts assignments and exams on her own website which is hard to navigate.0/10

Want to feel bad about yourself? Take this class. This professor will talk badly about you to other students if your absent but it doesnt stop there. She will also do it to your face. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. No directions, too much work, and talks about nothing constantly. Save your money.

Save your time (and money) and don't take this class. Too much expected of you with little and unclear directions. Makes you buy four books, and you are only required to read one chapter out of the three novels. Spent SO MUCH time working on projects for this class. Also the one class this semester that has given me the most stress yet.

STEAR CLEAR!! Professor King is seriously the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Hands down the worst teacher I've ever had! She always needs to be right, often argues with students, raises her voice, and gives a lot of attitude. I 100% ADVISE YOU TO FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN HER!!!

She is the rudest professor I had. She does not specify how she wants the work done. One of my main problems with her was that I would ask for advice when I did not understand a project and she will just say read even though her study guide was not clear. She kind of humiliate students in front of the class. A LOT OF CLASSWORK

I have taken over 160 hours of college credits and never once have I experienced a professor this rude or a class so disorganized. Dr. King was incredibly condescending and at times unprofessional in her dialogue to the class. I had to spend at least 20 hours a week on assignments in order to get an A. Rubrics and instruction were very unclear.

if she is your only option, please don't take her 8 week course you'll pull your hair out. her expectations are way too high for undergraduate students. she's also very condescending when giving "constructive criticism". The online class is split up between Canvas, her own personal website, and the he text book website. The expectations for class and assignments are vague. Her explanations are lackluster and she blames you for being confused.

Worst teacher ever. There is so much work for no reason. If you don't show up for class, you will miss so much work. So many group projects and presentations. She makes you order 3 books, and one being one of her own to only read 1 chapter out of each for book reports that aren't necessary. She critiques you on everything.

She talks to us for 30 minutes about what needs to be done in the class after already saying it the previous class, then gets mad we don't have enough time to do anything else. so many projects and always wants a presentation. 3 books you have to buy for her class, one being her own which she criticizes for not saying absolutely every part of it

Dr. King is by far the worst professor I've had. She consistently shows up late, complains for the whole class, then ends class VERY late and when people have to leave to make it to other classes. She is not clear on ANYTHING, rubrics, grades, info, etc. She'll act condescending to everyone and the lady literally says Atlantis is real (no joke).

The other reviews were pretty accurate. If you ask a question, you immediately feel stupid or foolish for asking anything. The exams were quite long and the final was very complex. Some of the material was questionable. In other words, I recommend another professor 100%.

Where do I even begin? In the first class, I just knew this teacher was about to be hell. I took her PSYCH 200 virtual course. Your grade depends on the tests she gives and a project. Three books are required and one of them is her own book. This is the most money making scam. Why is your book required in class and we have to write reports on it. She never lets anyone speaks. if you talk back she will go back and forth with you. Lowkey sexist, she lets the guys talk but when a girl has questions she doesnt want to repeat herself or shell want them to ask someone else in the class. She doesnt really teach, she just assigns projects and wants them to be presented the next class.

She's homophobic, sexist, and is degrading towards slower paced students. She would start class late and go over her assigned time and would blame us for it. Her lectures are repetitive and she assigns three different assignments on different platforms and its hard to keep up with the projects when the instructions are unclear. Don't take her class

This professor is disorganized, poor time management. (Started class 10-20 minutes late EVERY time). Never finished her lecture on time. Tests contained questions that we never covered. She also used the word "retarded" to refer to people with disabilities multiple times. Said some homophobic and transphobic stuff. Glad she is retiring.

This professor lectures are heavy. Professor wants you to read three books. The assignments aren't hard but she does take many points off if things aren't her way. I enjoyed her lecture even though class was tough.
