very cool, shes funny and wont get angry if anybody asks the same question over and over again. Very patient and sweet.

I TOOK HER FOR LAB AS A NIGHT CLASS AND SHE SEEMED TO NOT BE INTO TEACHING BIOLOGY OR THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW ALL THAT MUCH ABOUT THE SUBJECT. SHE WAS OKAY BUT SEEMS TO HAVE OTHER THINGS IN MIND SHE COULD BE DOING RATHER THAN WATCHING A BUNCH OF STUDENTS EXPERIMENTING.

She was an AMAZING teacher, she does nto mind answering questions, and yes she does talk to the guy helper, but come on, is she supposed to sit and stare at the class while there doing the work?? i learned more in that class then i did in biology, and she does know her stuff and i would recommend her to everyone because she was awesome!

She understands that everyone there isnt a science major.. alot of people complained but i got an A. her quizes are kinda hard.. i failed a couple but every bio lab has quizes & if u dont read the manuel or pay attention while doing the experiments well then yea.. u wont do good. she always says..work with me & i'll work with u

I think she is a terrific teacher. She is helpful and yes, she doesn't like cell phones ringing in the class, is that why all this hate? I get distracted by cell phones, so it worked for me. She is very encouranging and patient.

she gave so many extra credits, her class was so easy to pass! i had a D and wound up with a B, i love her!

Take good notes, review & read the textbook & an A is possible. 6 weeks is too short. Participate in class & she will offer extra credit. Cons, doesn?t share presentations to be downloaded. READ questions carefully. 4 tests 5 homework assignments totaling 500 points. 10 extra points for perfect attendance & 2 projects worth 10 extra points each

I disagree with those saying she's bad.BSC1085 in 6weeks was heavy.but she did her best to make it easy 4 us to get good grades.I missed the 1st week so lost 20 points of homework#1.I got C in both quizes 1&2.still could get an A.the tests were tough.but she makes sure you get good grade by several extra point assignments that she provides.easy A.

The Dr was very challenging but fair! If you did the homewks & all x-tra credit, study all outlines w/text book you'll make!I took the crunch course in 8 wks (SUICIDE) but I still got a "B".

Though you have to depend alot on your book, her lectures help clarify the notes. So keep your ears open, and be willing to give her a chance. You can fail easily though, if you really make no attempts what so ever.

I find it funny what everyone has said about Prof Monagas. She has NEVER text messaged or answered her phone during my class,her tests are super easy and pretty much what is on the study guide. Yes, sometimes she seems disinterested but that's because many don't seem to want to pay attention to what she is saying, and instead sleep and text message

Took her for the mini-session lab got an A. She does a great overview at the beginning of class and is very thorough, my advice: read before the labs and be on time. She is fair, and occasionally gives extra credit( do it!)

i took her for the lab and her class was supper easy i put very little effort into it and still got a B she explains everything so well has little bit of an accent but nothing to bad if i could i would take her class again its worth it.

EASY CLASS. The people that complain just never looked at her powerpoints or the book, and ANATOMY obviously takes some studying. She is a nice teacher and answers questions. All of the extra credit is not even necessary, but nice. Her tests are easy and direct, nothing tricky. EASY A, unless you literally do not go to class or read!

I took her for lab in the summer. There is a quiz at the beginning of every class and a skillcheck at the end of each class. The practical (the final test) was worth only 40 points out of 186 so you can pass if you get a perfect score on the quizes and skillchecks. She gave some extra credit. Overall the class was easy for me. I got an A.

She tries to get us interested and makes us laugh. She draws many different diagrams on the board throughout her lectures to help you understand. She explains things very well. I don't speak Spanish, and I think her accent is fine. Those other reviews are bais and probably from jealous girls or people who don't like non-American teachers.

Print out PP, read and outline each chapter, and do the study guides. It is anatomy and needs studying. Study the PP and if u put thorough answers to the study guide and review with that you should do well. The teacher is very nice and was always willing to help and even stay long periods of time after class to answer questions.

Dr. Monagas is very passionate about Biology. She's a fair professor who goes out of her way to clarify any doubts anyone has. The tests are very straight forward and her lectures are appropriate. She does have a bit of an accent but she can be easily understood. I have had a very pleasant experience in her class. I will take her Anatomy class.

I think she is an easy professor. Biology is hard enough so I think she is the best youre gonna get. I dropped another bio class with a lady who was way harder and very strict. Prof Monagas knows her stuff and she is very willing to help you. Yes she does have an accent but she is hot too so its okay. Not too much studying

She is really great. It is not an easy class. Her power points will not cover everything that goes on the test. She will tell you read the book YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK!!! She will give you extra credit and some hints about one or two questions in the test. She knows her stuff and explains very well.

She is very informative about the labs. Before you get started, she explains what the concept is about and tells you what to do for each section of the lab. Overall she is nice and would recommend as a lab professor.

Her PowerPoints, lecture notes, and homework all corresponds with the textbook which makes life reasonable easy for any student who needs to learn, take, and pass BIOLOGY (BSC1005). I did learn a lot from her and would recommend her to all prospective students. 04/26/2017 Mr. Spence

I think she gets less credit than she deserves. She does you a solid by warning you of the diagrams to study that you'll usually have to label on exams and she bothers to post powerpoints of lectures. Just read on your own to reinforce, she wont hand u an A! A good understanding of anatomy is impossible if you dont learn on your own time at home!

Great professor. Easy to follow lectures. Doesn't overwhelm you with coursework. And for what it's worth she's smoking hot.

She is very dry and cold in demeanor. Very strict with students being on time, but is not ever on time herself. She sometimes is a little irritated when we ask q's but overall will try to answer them. The quizzes are easy and the pre-labs too. If you can get past her attitude, and do the work, it's an easy A.

Had her for bio lab. The work for this class is homework, classwork and then quizzes no final no midterm. Work is out of the book and it is attadance mandatory if you dont come you wont know whats happening next week either.

She is very good explaining. It is important to read what are you going to work in the lab before the class. There are quizzes in each class and you have to study for all of them.

If you are looking for an A to be handed to you then find another professor. If you are looking to pass this course then this is the professor to take. Follow her power points, lectures and study guides and you'll be successful in this course. Exam 5 is a take home. Take advantage of EC opportunities. Take her! I hated Bio but she made it easy.

I see people are rating this professor rather low, which is hardly fair. She has a syllabus that explains everything you need to know about the class and what's expected. STUDY FOR MIDTERM AND FINAL... they are timed and fill-in answers, no multi-choice. The quizzes are multi-choice and and very easy if you study the material.

I think people that took her before just want an easy grade. This is not her. She is such a good professor that she takes the time to explain everything really clear. She is super organized about her grades and her expectations on the class. Yes, you have to read, make assignments and quizzes almost for every other class, but you LEARN.

Shes so sweet. I loved her. She has powerpoints you can follow and catch up on. She goes through each one with the class. Her quizzes and tests arent bad just read the textbook. You may have some trouble with her accent but its not bad. I suggest taking her.

She's a super easy lecture teacher. As long as you go to class you should be fine. There is a lot of homework but you have unlimited time and trials so its easy. The quizzes and tests are also really easy. I recommend taking her lecture class. There's no way you should fail. But DO NOT TAKE HER LAB! I repeat DO NOT TAKE HER LAB. She's terrible.

She is not hard or terrible. She is kind and caring but is pretty clear about what is expected in her class. Her syllabus is flawless, outlining precisely what will be graded and what the students should expect. Overall, anatomy can be a difficult subject, and she made it as simple as possible; and if you want to do well, you MUST do your part.

For lectures it long her voice may put you to sleep but she literally go over what you need to know her quizzes match her slides and her exam are average she give enough work to prepare you for it use NGL Companion website it has PowerPoints and practice exercises also her lab is easy but she grade hard on exam and spelling counts quizzes are easy

Honestly I was scared to take her because of the reviews but shes amazing the connect work was a lot but if you get them out the way quick you will be fine. The exams are based off the book not the PowerPoints she goes over I can say that but the exams were pretty easy and also the mini quizzes I took her online because it was convenient for me.

I had her class online Tuesday and Thursday she talked a lot so it may be boring but stick with it. As long as you read your book and study its an pretty easy class to take. Great professor!

Its a hard class but she's great at explaining things. Whatever you do don't withdraw the second part is so easy. The only way you fail her class is if you don't study at all.

Bio science courses are not easy, and designated lab time is never enough for instructors to cover all of the material. However, Dr. Monagas is amazingly productive at delivering the essentials for quizzes and practicals, just pay attention to what she says carefully and follow her guidelines. I am excited to attend her Lab for Anatomy II :)

Dr.Rosany is the best! She makes it very clear what is expected of you for the semester. Her lectures are amazing and you can tell she genuinely cares about you. Also, she adds a lot of extra credit questions on the exams. Don't listen to the bad reviews, she's great! I would take her again in a heartbeat.

A lot of people in my class hated her, but I loved her. She taught us very well and she genuinely cared about how everyone was doing in her class. As long as you care about your grade, she will too. Show her respect, and she will do the same. LOTS of studying needed, but what do you expect? It's an anatomy class. Give it the time it deserves.

She's great, just be respectful & work with her. Pay attention to the experiments as they'll show up on ur quiz. Attendance is GRADED. Quiz at the start of every class 10 minutes, 10 questions, spelling counts. I got a 60% average on all quizzes but I still got a B cause of attendance/HW. Midterm and final are graded with curve. YOU HAVE TO STUDY!!
