Doesn't clearly explain what she's teaching. Has you do projects and you don't get them back until months later. Not responsible at all. Worst math teacher I have had.

She just repeated what was in the book and did not fully explain. I passed but that is the hardest math I have ever taken. I mean my Calc score was higher than my stat. you figure that one out.
easy class, yet if math is not your thing jenkins is not all that motivated as a teacher, at times hard to follow, boring at best. I had better teachers before
don't take this class with her teaching if you aren't all that great at math. she reads straight from the book and doesn't explain things very well.
I don't know why all these people didn't like her. No, it wasn't the easiest class I ever took but I did my work and still got an A, and yeah I even enjoyed the class. I thought she was a really nice person.
Very rude to students and doesn't care if anyone understands. Don't bother complaining to the department head, it happens every semester and she's still there.

Good teacher, mostly teaches from notes, and is willing to answer questions. Sometimes gives take-home tests. Just study regularly and try, you should do well.

taking over internet and not pleased at all/ treats students like they're stupid if she even acknowledges them!/ teacher not prompt in responding to ??? worst teacher I have ever had, hands down! do not waste tuition money on this woman's class! Don't ask me how she keeps her job. Huge mistake to waste my summer attempting to learn from this woman. Doesn't answer emails or phone calls! Had to go to dept head for help withdrawing. Avoid at all costs!
I thought this class was going to be easy online. I was wrong. I got sick and had to go to the ER and missed a test (she drops the lowest one) and really needed to take it. She doesnt answer emails in a timely manner, if you take her please make sure you are there for everything.
I had a very hard time in this class and felt maybe it was because I took it on line, I never passed a test until the final exam I was too shocked when I got an A, I was very happy to leave this class with a C. I was very dissappointed with her style of teaching, it was just talking no teaching obsevred.
THIS IS THE HARDEST CLASS I'VE EVER HAD. SHE DOES NOT GO OVER ASSIGNED HW NOR DOES SHE REVIEW TEST. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL. SHE IS NICE BUT VERY, VERY VERY DIFFICULT!
Took this class online-hadn't taken a math class in 20+ years. Received an A bt basically had to teach myself. Maybe in a classroom environment it would be different but Ms. Jenkins should never teach internet. Very smart but not responsive - took days and sometimes more to get a response fm her. Fairly lenient with final grade.
Her tests do not reflect her or the text books teaching.
I took this as an online class and it was terrible! I made an A in the class but not because she helped me! She takes forever to answer emails if she does at all! We had a group project for an internet class! Don't take any of her classes!
I came into this class ready to learn and do the work, expecting it to be difficult...She will not return emails!! She takes a classroom setting and turns it into an online class before the first day is over. All assignments jumbled on her page, she wont post assignments due, grades incorrect, wont show up for class, neat subject but HORRIBLE TEACH
I took her online class and it was awful. i didn't learn anything. we had to have a paper and presentation.... ITS MATH! NOT ENGLISH! geez. but it was hard and not fun. she doesnt return emails. i had to call the math dept. head for her to call me back.
Technology in the Classroom. Lot's of projects and presentations all due at the end of the semester. 30 hours of observation in elementary school. She is very disorganized, unclear, does not return work, does not reply to emails. Intelligent but not responsible. Late for class, sometimes not showing up! She is overloaded with too many students
Took online class. Class material is hard, but found she had tons of aids on her website to help, and at least for me anyway, she has always answered e-mails and has been available when I called with any questions. Statistics is hard, even with low test grades, if you do well on quizzes, etc., you'll pass. She's nice.
I didn't have a strong love for math before this class, but she ruined all chances of it for me! Unorganized, late, and not a happy camper. I have never failed a test in my life and I failed ALL of hers! My highest test grade was a 58! I do not recommend taking her if you really want to learn something. Take someone else's class!
I took this class online, but in class students complained about the same problems. She is useless teacher. Her teaching methods are useless. Her instruction, MyMathLab Homework, Tests, Book and Notes do not match, so you practically teach yourself. The tests leave you clueless because what she teaches and the homework you do just does not match.
I like math. I'm a natural at it. This teacher completely butchered math for me.
Mrs. Jenkins was a great teacher. Alot of people like to say that she is hard but if you come to class and put in the work you will do well.DO NOT SLACK OFF if you slack off you will not pass her class. she is willing to work with you if you put in work.if you want a teacher who knows what they are doing and loves it then she is the teacher for you
I took math 120 with her probablity and stat. It was the hardest class i ever took in my life. AS a person she is amazing. FOr me it was hard for me to understand but mrs.jenkins did alot to help me and others. It people tood the time to listen to what she said maybe there grade would be better then what it is.You have to work for what you want.
Mrs. Jenkins was a very nice teacher. As long as you came to class and did your homework you were okay. She stressed that students ask questions if you didn't understand. Just practice the material and you'll do great.
she is the worst teacher i have ever had...just a reminder..if i wanted to take a hybrid class i would have signed up for one...she was terrible unorganized and some other words i dont think would be appropriate...do not take her class
She's a very nice lady but SO disorganized. Class is hybrid and all lectures are online. She doesn't post them in a timely fashion so you get the info too close to the tests. As a result, it falls on you as the student to teach yourself. She just needs to get more organized and I think she would be a great teacher.
Her tests are horrible, the questions are confusing. I can do a problem multiple times and still not get an answer that is an option. I get good grades on the my math lab homework and practice tests (that she doesn't write) then i get to her tests and fail. also wont tell class averages for test which tells me its probably bad. dont take her!
She is a very nice lady, but her class is really easy. If you are not a math person, you need to do the homework. If you are a math person, you can breeze through without even studying. IF YOU ASK, she explains what you don't understand. Also, her notes sometimes have examples she can't work out ompletely. I think she is average.

She's a nice enough woman, but so disorganized that she doesn't post the material on the website in enough time to give people the opportunity to actually study it. Things are clearly explained but then I get to the test and it's not like the notes I took. She has an 80% fail rate, so that should say something about her teaching in general!
She is very disorganized. Doesn't post material in a timely fashion. She talks in "math-speak" so much she forgets folks that are English-speakers. She makes the material harder than what it needs to be (she made math 101 hard!). She LOVES using technology so much she doesn't work on the "teaching". She should teach a technology class, not math.
Since she doesn't post material online in a timely fashion, it's often close to the test taking date. Which does not give me time to study. She writes the test totally different from the mymath lab questions. Test questions are very unclear of what she is looking for.
this is not an easy course, but what do you expect from a Statistics course? her videos are the best help, she doesn't lecture much in class. the HM, tests/videos are different, to do well on the tests use her videos not the HM as a study guide. the mymathlab sucks. she is funny when she wants to be. note: study both the math and theory for tests
I would not suggest taking this teacher for anything. Her EDU class was such a joke, she gave us multiple last minute projects. HELLO LADY!,youre not my only class. She doesn't reply to emails.. she's always late. VERY DISORGANIZED! Save your money, and wait till DUVAL teaches it, I can't imagine this lady teaching a math class..One of the worst.
LAZIEST teacher I have ever had! I have over 70 credits and have made all "A"s and only a handful of "B"s and I have received the first "C" of my college career due to her HORRIBLE teaching! You have to teach yourself! Late all the time! Doesn't return tests until weeks later! DO NOT TAKE HER! Amazed that she still has a job!!!
Best math teacher I've had since high school. Gets excited about math, helps students if they go to her, gives you tests in the testing center so you have extra time, and gives out a bunch of extra credit. I'm not good at math but made a B in her calculus course.
I took this class online. I made 100s on all my assignments, missed 1 quiz(I simply overlooked it taking 5 other classes), made an 85 B on final group project, & failed ALL her tests! She does not respond to emails & takes forever to post grades. Final grade D even w all A's besides tests so I have to take her again. Stay away if you have a choice
I rarely ever make C's. The main problem that I have with this teacher is that her tests are ridiculous. She gives you stuff that you haven't seen in class or in the book. It's really like she tries to trick you. If you're a math major, you probably won't mind her. Otherwise, I'd find someone else.
I've taken many of her classes and everything she says and does is organized and neat. I don't know how people say she's unorganized. If you fail the tests and the classes you didn't do the work. I'm awful and math and made a high B.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!! i took her hybrid prob and stats class. Mostly everything is ONLINE. We went to class one day a week and just sat there the entire time! Her homework assignments take hours per day to complete and her tests are unheard of!!!! STAY AWAYYYYY.
Often cancels classes. She doesn't teach the material, but wants students to ask HER questions. For a hybrid class this isn't a very good strategy, because most people want to LEARN about the material before taking the homework. Incredibly lazy.
Took the hybrid class and YOU TEACH YOURSELF. If you need someone to hold your hand or make you accountable by being in class everyday, then the hybrid is NOT for you. The test questions were a bit tricky in wording but if you read them and did your homework, you can come away with at least a B. Do the homework on MyMathLab and you will be fine.
I always like to give teachers a chance, but she is not one of them. She's a nice lady, but her teaching skills lack.
I took the hybrid class after taking other hybrid math classes and having no trouble in them, but she expects you to read the chapter prior to class and then ask questions in class. DO NOT take this class if you are not responsible enough or have the time to go over the chapter before class each week. She is a nice teacher, though.
Online class was horrible. She puts up practice tests 1 day before taking and doesn't even go along with what is on the test. There is a group project that has way too much to do on it if you're taking more than her class. The online homework is nothing like the test, which are awful. You can spend hours on the homework and it doesn't help.
I took course online; teacher provides NO ASSISTANCE with chapters that will be on exams; does not provide learning assignments to assist with homework, does not answer questions nor responds to email. Tons of MyMathLab Hwk that does not help with exams.

I took her math 120 class online and it was awful!There is a huge group project and if your members drop she will not help you. Homework has nothing to do with the tests. She does not respond to email through the whole semester, but does at the end when I finally complained to the department. Worst professor I have had to date.
Prob. & Stat. class, got an A. Wk really hard an u will be fine. U actually have to LEARN the HW, don't just guess to get them right. She is very friendly and will help u if u ask. I am not strong in math at all, but worked hard to get a good grade. I don't know why there are a lot of complaints about her class. TAKE THE PRACTICE TESTS!!!
I took Ms. Jenkins this summer for online MAT 120 I busted my butt and got a B. I had to teach myself. She would only respond to certain emails you sent and didn't have videos for all sections of homework. I ended up finding my own videos from a different professor! I would not recommend this professor at all especially for online!
Mrs.Jenkins tried to be prepared for class with notes but she rarely fully explained them and she cancelled many classes and it always seemed to be cancelled 20-30 mins before class started. if she got a problem wrong, she would say lets keep going. it was very hard to learn. I had to teach myself many of the things in that class. it was a struggle
Hard hard class!! You definitely have to work hard and watch all the videos she post. Tests don't match what is on practice tests. Was upset that she was late on posting videos so I never could work ahead.
The projects she gives are a total waste of time. She doesn't open work early so you can get a head start, and her online lectures are long and excruciatingly boring. Mandatory attendence but you do NOTHING unless you have questions. Entirely too much homework. Making an A but this class is for the birds. Take another teacher.
Terrible class. She never responds to emails, is always late posting videos and frequently wouldn't unlock assignments until one or two days before they were due, unlike the usual 1 week other online classes give. The practice tests are basically useless and the projects pointless. Attendance is mandatory but material is rarely gone over.
Awful teacher. She doesn't how to teach. Her errors outweigh all the good. Take someone else for Mat 120.
Do not take this teacher. She does not know how to teach. She does not know how to grade. She does not know how to create a clear rubric for the group project she makes you do in place of the final exam. Mymathlab assignments and tests do not look the same at all. Take MAT 120 with a different instructor.
Not very good. Several times when she would be trying to solve a problem, only to realize that she didn't know how to solve it.
You need a textbook, and you need to have a tutor to pass any of her classes, as her explanations are awful. Math is my favorite subject and I still needed a tutor even after taking this class in high school. So know that she is difficult. Her tests are extremely difficult. She makes you buy her own notes from the bookstore...
For someone who really struggles with math in general, this was an awful experience. I about cried every time I had to step foot into that class room. Very difficult course all together and even harder with a professor who was very careless and unorganized in her method.
I took this course online thinking it would be great for me.. WRONG! You are teaching yourself. Just videos and your book. Homework quizzes are much hated and not helpful. What is on the notes and test don't really line up. I didn't want to fail so I dropped it. Good luck reaching her, takes days to weeks to even respond to an email.
Halfway through this semester i realize that this is an absolutely horrible professor. The notes she makes you buy for the class are absolutely irrelevant to the homework and tests. She is horrible at explaining things, has to look up information all of the time to teach, and even when she looks it up, she does it wrong half the time. DO NOT TAKE!!
I would avoid the classes taught by this teacher. Her teaching style is not only confusing, but extremely boring. I was in a hybrid class and what she had us doing online was not relevant to what we were doing in class. Group projects were a mess and all the groups I saw hated it.
I liked that her online videos went right along with the printed note "packets." However.... I did NOT like that everything taught in the video lectures were different from the test material. I only passed this course bc I did well on the projects and homework. This class is a GPA killer. You've been warned. Heed the warning that I did not!!!!!!!!!
HORRIBLE. Her tests are miserable, she'll give a practice test that is really easy and absolutely no test review and will turn around and give a super difficult test. No amount of tutoring helped me passed her class. I do not recommend.
Her lectures and homework/tests don't match up, you really need to have the physical book to help you during test and homework quizzes. If you need help she will meet with you to get you up to speed. Very nice teacher.
Very demanding in course work. I took this class online, and she hates for you to work ahead. If you want a test opened early she won't do it. The material itself is extremely easy, but I find her course notes to be hard to follow and discombobulated. She's willing to help, but seems unapproachable at the same time. Her tests are difficult.
Teaching style is great, it's her tests that ruin it. Tests are several times harder than the homework and practice problems. This is the first class I haven't gotten a 4.0 in. If you have the option, choose another professor, the material is easy but as stated before, her tests will kill your GPA. Started the class with 24 and finished with 8.
You know you're in for trouble when you put in a formula exactly as she says it with the exact numbers she says to put in and what comes up on the calculator is different from any of the options. And this happens a lot. Also, if she talked any slower she'd start speaking backwards.
I personally did not have a problem with her, I thought she was a good professor because if I had a question she always replied in a timely manner and gave a thorough explanation if I needed something. The projects are SUPER EASY because she gives examples of how to do them exactly. Projects and homework saved me, all tests are difficult except #5
She's not a bad teacher, but when it comes to actually knowing the information and letting it process through your mind only depends on how you prefer to learn. When taking her class expect to get a lot done. You will likely have homework outside the class immediately after lectures. Missing 1 day of her class is basically missing 3 weeks worth.
I took this as an ONLINE course. Be prepare to put the TIME in for this class. This is probably one of the hardest classes I have taken. Never really got the "Probability" part this class. Do not be prepared to learn anything from this class. She rambles on and on about anything but Math and then confuses herself while rambling. Does not tell us when we have assignments we are just magically supposed to know when they are not even stated in the syllabus. DO NOT take her unless you absolutely have to.
I took this class online and failed every test along with classmates The notes did not match the textbook shes using notes from 2013 its 2019. To top the icing on the cake she dropped me from the course after I had taken the final.I questioned her as to why she dropped me and she said that it was on the grade roster too lazy to fix it DO NOT TAKE!!
This class absolutely sucks. I have never failed a class in my life until I took this one. I took this class online which I thought would be easier but it is not. Rose does not provide any powerpoints of her teaching and she never explains the information. I am extremely dissatisfied with this class and with the professor.
seriously the worst online class I have ever taken. The practice test, homework and quizzes are absolutely nothing like the tests. She doesn't even allow you to use any formulas on tests which is absolutely ridiculous. Her online lectures don't coincide with any of the assignments or tests. DO NOT TAKE HER.
Her lecture videos are OLD. She teaches in a way that I understand and "get" until you look at the book or do the online homework. It is literally like being taught in French and the homework and tests being in French. You limp your way through and use the online book tools to teach yourself.
She uploads lecture videos from 2013. These videos use a old textbook, not the one that is required for the course. She has a study guide for students to use and follow along with the videos. There are often several mistakes made on the study guide that have still not been corrected since 2013!!!! AWFUL instructor. Don't waste your time.
Professor Rose M Jenkins was by far the worse online professor I have had. She struggled using Blackboard. She would hold test reviews with no agenda that were not helpful, didn't know how to use StatCrunch, and got review questions wrong regularly. She struggled to teach in line with the textbooks and testing software. Overall very disappointing.
