A WICKED!donot take her class, she taugh at VCC over 10 years, so people cannot kid her out even they knew she was a bad teacher, picky, personal attitude was very bad.Hope everybody read this website before register her class. Godbless all next students.

In order for this teacher to be effective, she would have to learn effective communication. She is definately not a people person and teaching should not be her first job. Ms. Watson is a hateful human being.

Not very clear...Very unapproachable
She is very difficult. I learned nothing except for the fact that if you try to express your opinion and she does not agree then, she will fail your paper, make a fool out of you in class, and she will not forget this. BEWARE!
She's just soo mean.... she'll embarass you in front of everybody in the class if she didnt like your opinion.. the highest grade she gives is 85 and the average of the class is 70!!! She's aggravating, don't ever take her or it'll be your nightmare!!

By far the worst teacher I have ever mad the mistake of taking. She rathers to prove how she is more superior in knowing the english language then to teach it. YOU WILL NEVER, EVER GET ABOBVE A 75% ON ANY PAPER.
I think she is a pretty good teacher. She is very hard and makes you work for your grades but if you stay after to ask questions and make yourself known in class, she will be a little easier on you.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFFESSOR! She is by far the worst teacher out there. She will eat you up and spit you out, and then do it again. If you dare to speak she will humiliate you in front of everyone even if you are correct. The only wayto pass is not take.

Mrs. Watson seems to be very sadistic, and I find her super petty in her evaluations. Dont expect any partial credit!!!!! Be careful.

Watson is a tough teacher and not easily impressed, but I didnt find her to be sadistic. If you participate in class enough for her to know your name and stay after class to ask any questions she can be very helpful.

She is very unhelpful and so anal to details that she is almost mean. I always did very well in Engish before taking her but she never even told us what she wanted us to do at many points. At the begining of the year there where about 35 in her class and at the end there are only 8.
I love english but this lady def found a way to take a fun class and make it miserable. WORST teacher ever!Shes rude + should find a job that doesnt involve working with people. I got a B in her class but still hated every moment of it. It was so bad i dreaded class the night b4.

Waste of time and money. Take another teacher's class. IMHO, she should not teach if she's going to practice this method (seemingly none, other than unclarity). I got nothing out of the course, and was forced to drop it. It's difficult to pass this cakewalk course with her.

She isn't ALL that bad. First impression of her wasn't the best but in the end she was funny, nice and really helped improve my essay writing. class is easy not too much work- fair and i'd recommend her. her summer class was great! again- she's not the devil- she was actually quite nice!
Horrible, unclear, not oragnized and doesnt help in any way. If you ask a question she looks at you like your stupid. Gave bad grades on all papers, and did not make any sense at all.
This was the worst teacher i have ever had. she made you papers that involved research, but worded them as an opinion paper. she was unclear when i asked what i did wrong, she replied with "you didn't follow my directions" DO NOT TAKE!
She wasn't as bad as everyone says...if you listen to what she says to do and what not to do and do exactly that you'll be fine. She grades fairly and she will help if you need it. I'm actually taking her again for Comp 2 this semester.

She is opposed to giving an "A". If you write an "A-" paper, you are lucky to get a "B". She'll make you write better, but you are not going to get an "A" in what should be a cakewalk.
Watson is a disappointing teacher. The correct way to inspire a student to flourish is not to look at them like they are stupid for asking a question about the assignment when prompted. This class has killed my passion for english. If you're a fan of having your creativity stifled i encourage you to take this class.

I can see where some people have a bad opinion of her. At first she is a bit intimidating but if u actually talk to her she is a great person and teacher. she does expect a lot of students but I think thats where she is doing a good job. She gives students opportunites throughout the semester to meet with her if u need help. Great teacher!
She is a smart teacher don't get me wrong. She knows her stuff, but english 2 should not be a "weed out" class and it is because she is TOO critical of her students. She grades you on things you don't think you are being graded on, and thats where she gets you on your grade. Unless you are Harvard material DO NOT take her or your GPA will hurt!
I usually like English, but she really ruined it for me. She begins her class with a speech containing the phrase "I don't give A's, so don't expect one." After hearing that, what's the point? You have nothing to strive for. Her class is extremely demanding and no matter how perfect you are, you really won't get an A. Take someone else!!!

Ms. Watson is a pathetic excuse for a professor. She is offensive, rude, and will not give an "A" even if you are deserving of one. I have NEVER gotten less than a "B" on any paper I have ever written and I started off this course with a "C". My advice is simple. FIND ANOTHER PROFESSOR!!! ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!

Ms. Watson commands respect. She MUST be hard nosed in order to kick the bratty high-schooled mentality out of new VCC students. I think she is an asset to the college. I loved her class and found it was very easy to pass. Pay attention and participate and there is really no way for you to fail....

Almost everyone dropped out because she was strick on attendence, and wanted respect, which alot of people for some reason cant handle. Ok here is the real deal from a slacker. Watson is tough, her lectures and assignments are great! Her essays are impossible. I one think i didnt like about her was that she did not grade on a fair scale. Far to critical, other than that i think she is pretty cool.

I received a B but she was still hard!!! Very Very strict with being on time or you will get a ZERO on your paper. I took this during summer so we had an assignment everyday. She is very strict so beware!

I had her for Honors ENC 1102. I had to drop the class due to her lack of clarity and almost refusal to actually EXPLAIN assignments. I agree with everyone who thinks she is evil. Can totally see that. DO NOT TAKE HER! EVER!
Honestly, I would not recommend this professor. She would give great reviews for your work when she saw it before it was graded, but when you got it back there was a bad grade on it. You thought you could understand her but then she adds more to the assignment than was originally there by the time it is graded.

She refused to teach. She would lecture and berate everyone in the class, even if they were correct. She simply refuses to do anything conducive to a positive learning environment. If I was able to I would have withdrawn from her class and try again with another professor. AVOID HER CLASSES AT ALL COSTS!
If this is your first college term avoid her at all cost. I agree with all of the people who says she is Evil. It's like she wants you to fail her class on purpose. It's not that she's hard. I've had hard professors&been able to succeed. She sets you up to fail&doesn't teach the class. The students do all presentation &she listens to us discuss. She graded my research paper a B but gave it to me asked if I wanted attend a 4 yr. university. I do. She said I would have failed the paper at UCF. Don't take her!
She's very demanding and shows no remorse. If you're late to class, prepare to be chewed out. She's a no BS type of person, and will gladly put you in your place if need be. Yes, she can be very mean if you act like an idiot or are immature. She pretty much will let you know on the first day that she means business and that she is NOT your friend.
Really Terrible Teacher, and I love English. She has really high expections and nothing is ever good enough.
