Professor Garcia is a real Gem. You have to put in the work and she is there for you all the way. There are no free rides in life and in this class, but if you show her that you are really trying and committed to learning and doing well in this class, she will be there for you every step of the way.

Professor Garcia is caring teacher that wants ALL students to pass. She will go the extra mile to make sure her students get adequate information before test day. Garcia makes herself available to students every single day of the week, no matter what time. Garcia is an excellent professor who is over qualified for the job. Would take again!!!

Garcia is an amazing professor! She is very precise with her lectures and gives thorough guidance as to what is expected of us. I know most people are doing well with her and individuals that are posting negative reviews are just bitter about the prior professor leaving and most likely failing the class. Professor Garcia has made learning fun and enjoyable, I didnt know what to expect my second term of nursing core. She teaches one on one and in groups, if she sees us studying she will talk to us and even do a mini re-lecture. Overall I think shes a great professor and I learned a lot from her.

Professor Garcia really cares about her students and she really helps you succeed in her class. Not only does she give an extensive lecture but also does a great review to further prepare you for the exams. On top of all this, she also provides some of her own time outside of class for students to reach out to her for further review and tutoring!

This class requires of a lot of time and commitment but Professor Garcia is super flexible and available whenever needed. Its week two of the term and Im still trying to figure out why this professor has BAD Reviews, both quiz I have done well and she has been nothing but helpful She explains things when your confuse she CALLS you if you have question. Yes she does not give you the slides but if I am being honest I just took notes in class and if I needed more clarification I went to the book. She is always accessible outside of class and really wants her students to succeed. She is hard on you only because she wants the best for her students. I would take her again if I could!

Look this professor is great. Yes there is a lot of reading in her class, but she really wants you to learn. She just wants everyone to be very professional and participate but she wants you to learn. Interacting with her is one of the few ways to pass her class. However do not look for a late night answer because you probably wont get it

Professor Garcia was incredible for Intro! If you're one to not participate and expect the answers for free without putting in the work, then I recommend taking another professor. She gives reviews and study guides not all professors do that, so be grateful! Put in the work and she'll reciprocate. I'd take her again!

Garcia wasnt too bad for me. I was not a favorite of hers since I hardly participated. But she was very straightforward IMO. She always responded to my emails. She made time for reviews outside of class. She could work on somethings herself. But overall, she wasnt the worst Professor out there.

Professor Garcia is great. She has a lot of mixed reviews but I had a great experience with her. She is very caring and its obvious she wants us to learn. She has review sessions that last as long as students are willing to stay and they are very helpful! She also has a review before each quiz and as long as you pay attention youll be good!

Participation matters with Garcia, dont expect her to just give you all the answers. She wants everyone to engage during class. Ive heard bad stories about her from other students but had a good experience with her. I think she has favorites and is different with each section she teaches. You definitely have to read the text book for this class.

Her tests are straight from the reviews she goes over, so attend those. She can be moody, and due to holidays messing up our schedule she once sprung a test on us the day of, so no one was prepared. Sometimes she demands participation. Not my ideal teacher, but I'd take her again knowing that I can get a good grade without working too hard.

A lot of people misunderstands Professor Garcia. Professor Garcia class is challenging but I promise if you participate in class, respect her time and utilize her tutoring sessions and reading guides you will pass and learn A LOT. She is all about being transparent and all about respect. She will help but you'll have to do your part.

Here's the thing with the professor: she gives tough love, and she will be tough, but she gives that tough love because of she wants to prepare her students to be better. She will not spoon feed, but she will guide the student to success. I dont understand why some students don't like her.

I took Garcia for 100 and 120, definitely has her pros/cons. Reviews before her exams (extremely helpful), when in a good mood, can be really funny, + youll get a lot of information from her class. I dont like that if you do something to upset her or not take advantage of extra review sessions, she will isolate/embarrass you. Cares in her own way.

Professor Garcia was my intro to med surg professor and now she is my Advanced 480 instructor. I PURPOSELY CHOSE HER AGAIN. She really knows her material and has a passion for nursing. She will not let you fail as long as you show that you put in the work. People complaining on here just want an easy professor and don't care to learn the material.

This professor is amazing, She is very clear on what she wants. If you don't put in the time and effort that is on you. She tells students what to review and study and is very straight forward. If you put the time and effort in then you will get an A. If you slack off a little you'll get a B, if you slack off completely you will fail.

This is the second time that I have had Professor Garcia and she is a real gem who care about her students. There is no such thing as a free ride and if you think your going to get one than take someone else. If you want to learn and be a better student afterwards, then welcome aboard because she is a great teacher who cares about her students.

The best Professor at WCU I had her for Intro to medsug and I learn so much from her the rest of the classes where easy. I took her again in advance 480 her class was full of student that had had her before it was a great class since we all new what she expect from us which is participate and attend her reviews you will get and A+.

Professor Garcia thrives off of seeing her students succeed. She gives tough love but she truly wants everyone to put in the effort because ultimately we will be the nurses responsible for taking care of our patients. She made me become a better student and made me excited about learning. Took her for intro and intermediate and Im SO glad I did.

I dont know why Professor Garcia has so many negative reviews. She is a great professor and always telling students how much she want them to succeed. Listen to her lectures, attend her reviews, and go to pals. She is the best. She truly wants all her students to pass.

This professor is a hidden gem. The way she stimulates our brain to think critically is great especially the rationales why we do these things. Sometimes, even though you read the book, you cannot connect the dots. Professor Garcia helped me how to connect those dots, and explains the rationales. I thank her that she pushes us to study hard.

If you want an easy professor but don't learn, go for an easy one. If you want to learn the proper way, get her. Her lectures are amazing, and she demands participation. If you listen to her lectures closely, you will understand the topic and the theory behind it. You gotta prepare and you need to do advanced reading before getting into her class.

I just want to put that this professor is great. She knows her stuffs and with all her experience in her hands can help us in our nursing. She is strict and she demands participation because she wants us to be successful. I don't find her rude at all, she wants us to be responsible to our actions in nursing school.

Professor Garcia is simply great. She made me understands the key concepts behind the theory. You ask her questions, she got the answer. I feel she is very knowledgeable in Med Surge and she wants to impart her knowledge to us. I am talking Advanced Med Surge where critical thinking is needed.

She CARED so much about her students success. She cared about our mental health and our grades equally. She made sure she was always available for extra help if we needed it. I would take her every term if I could. She is stellar at her job.

She's FULL of knowledge!! A caring professor wants you to succeed, but she will not spoon feed you. She wants you to work for it and put your all into getting your grade. She lectures and expects all students to participate. Provides stories from bedside that are memorable and will make you laugh. She has a sassy personality and I love her for it!!

Professor Garcia is the best professor ever. She cares so much about her students, it's incredible. I wish she could have kept teaching nursing courses because I wanted her for advance med sure but because she is so amazing she got the NCLEX specialist job. Seriously the best teacher I've had at this school to date! She's passionate about her students, pushes them to do better, and is tough when she needs to be. Makes you connect the dots from Fundamentals to Med Surge. She deserves only accolades! Not sure what the negative comments are about?!? I think the nay-sayers are drunk!

Prof Garcia is amazing! She encouraged us to participate in class and don't feel ashamed for being wrong because she would make our responses right by interconnecting concepts. This professor is serious at first, but once you get to know her she is passionate about teaching. Some says they hated her, but for me, I love the way she helps students. She knows her subject from the beginning and she sounds that she got plenty of experiences that she can share to her students. I am glad that I got her on my 4 subjects.

My experience with Professor Garcia has been incredible throughout my nursing program journey, considering I was a student of hers for Introduction, Intermediate, and Advanced Med-Surg. I am grateful to have had Professor Garcia as my instructor, as it has reinforced learning in ways that you will look back on and appreciate in the future as an RN.
